- Sam Claflin Wraps 'Catching Fire'
All good things must come to an end, and for actor Sam Claflin, that means departing the Hawaii-based set of "The Hunger Games" sequel, "Catching Fire."
It's the last day of filming TheHungerGames #CatchingFire and I'm missing it already. Thank you all for making it an incredible experience.
— Sam Claflin (@samclaflin) December 21, 2012
Finnick Odair's alter ego took to Twitter today to let fans know that he was officially done filming the highly anticipated dystopian tale...and that he already misses it. Despite his departure, we have a feeling he and Josh Hutcherson will find a way to keep in touch until the movie premieres in November. They don't call it a bromance for nothing!

Переслать - 'Pretty Little Liars' Star Shay Mitchell Does Good
FROM MTV ACT BLOG: Shay Mitchell may play a pretty little liar on screen, but off, she's helping spread the honest truth about human trafficking, through her work with the Somaly Mam Foundation. In fact, here's a startling statistic: Did you know there are an estimated 27 million people around the world who are enslaved? With Shay's help (and yours!) the non-profit hopes to put a stop to this problem in Cambodia (where its founder herself was kidnapped) and beyond.
Shay talked with our friends over at MTV Act Blog, not only about her volunteer work, but also how her "Pretty Little Liars" character Emily has helped teens across the country.

Переслать - 'Vampire Academy' Casting: Who Should Play Lissa?
With the news earlier this week that the big-screen adaptation of Richelle Mead's young-adult series "Vampire Academy" had sunk its teeth into a screenwriter and script, we've been wearing one bootylicious indention into the Hollywood Crush Casting Couch, picking worthy actors and actresses to play our favorite characters. Today, we're auditioning a trio of lovely ladies for the role of royal Moroi Vasilisa "Lissa" Dragomir.
Shadow-kissed alongside best friend Rose Hathaway, Lissa is quiet and kind, though suffers from the occasional mood swing thanks to her surging spirit powers. Like all Moroi, Lissa is tall and slender, with long blonde locks cascading down her back. With that in mind, here are our picks for the girl who would be queen.
Claire Holt
Bloodsucking is Claire Holt's business. After all, the Australian actress is probably best known in the states for her role as feisty Original vamp Rebekah on The CW's "Vampire Diaries." But with a glimpse at her softer side as Samara on ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars," we know she's well-suited to play the sweet St. Vladimir student.Gemma Ward
Another actress from Down Under, Gemma Ward made a splash last year as a mermaid in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides." Though she doesn't boast a boat-load of on-screen experience, we think that could work to her benefit—we'd like to see a fresh face in this role. A beautiful, cherubic face, at that.Imogen Poots
Brit Imogen Poots is set to have a big 2013, with no fewer than six projects debuting in the New Year. And did we mention she's currently filming the romantic comedy "Are We Officially Dating?" alongside Zac Efron (sigh). There's something about the actress that's regal yet approachable all at once—qualities Lissa wears like a custom-made tiara.Related:

Переслать - 13 YA Novels We Can't Wait To Read In 2013
Now that Hollywood Crush readers have picked their favorite YA novel of 2012 (Cassandra Clare's "City of Lost Souls," for the record), it's time we turn our attention to the tomes that will be cuddled up on our nightstands and lining our bookshelves come 2013.
From long-awaited sequels to series debuts, the year in young-adult is looking to be a lit-lover's dream. Indeed, it was tough narrowing our list of most-anticipated reads down to lucky number 13, but narrow we did. Check out our picks (ordered by release date) after the jump, and be sure to weigh in with your own!
"Just One Day" by Gayle Forman (January 8)
"Just One Day" is all it takes for American good-girl Allyson to fall for Dutch actor Willem during a trip abroad. But when she awakes the next morning and finds him gone, Allyson embarks on a year of self-discovery to move past the lost love. "Just One Day" is the first of a duet of novels—with the second, "Just One Year," set to publish later in 2013."Prodigy" by Marie Lu (January 29)
Marie Lu's debut novel, "Legend," a sort of teen take on the classic "Les Miserables" story, left us on tenterhooks for a follow-up...which we've patiently waited more than a year to read. And here it finally is in "Prodigy," which follows one-time nemeses June and Day as they arrive in Las Vegas and join a group of Patriot rebels, who promise to help rescue Day's brother...if only the duo assassinate the new Elector."Unravel Me" by Tahereh Mafi (February 5)
Juliette escaped The Reestablishment in "Shatter Me," finding a home with equally gifted people at Omega Point. But with a touch that's lethal, she'll never truly be free. Especially to love Adam. This sequel finds our heroine struggling with a decision that could mean her soul mate's life."The Indigo Spell" by Richelle Mead (February 12)
Remember how uptight Alchemist Sydney Sage and devilishly handsome Moroi Adrian Ivashkov finally shared the steamiest of smooches in "The Golden Lily"? Well, expect the sexual tension to reach a boiling point in this third installment of Richelle Mead's "Bloodlines" series. Ensure your smelling salts and fainting couches are at the ready."Mind Games" by Kiersten White (February 19)
Two sisters, two extraordinary abilities. Fia has flawless instincts—every decision she makes is the correct one. Annie, though blind, has vivid visions of the future. Both attend a school for gifted pupils, where their talents are leveraged for nefarious gain. The sisters must work together to free themselves...but at what cost?"Clockwork Princess" by Cassandra Clare (March 19)
Will Tessa choose kind-heart fiance Jem Carstairs or sarcastic bad-boy Will Herondale? One of our favorite (and most tortured) love triangles will (hopefully!) be resolved in the long-awaited conclusion to Cassandra Clare's Victorian-set "Infernal Devices" series."17 & Gone" by Nova Ren Suma (March 21)
Lauren is having terrifying visions—visions of girls who have vanished without a trace. They're all 17 years old, as is Lauren, which raises the troubling possibility that she could be next."The Elite" by Kiera Cass (April 23)
In Kiera Cass' 2011 debut, "The Selection," we met dystopian teen America Singer, one of 35 girls vying for the heart of Prince Maxon (and the position of Princess of Illea). And just as it seemed the two were falling head over heels for one another, America's hometown heartthrob, Aspen, appearing at the palace, sending her heart into a major tumult. This is one royal love triangle, to be sure."Icons" by Margaret Stohl (May 7)
One half of the writing duo behind the Southern gothic series "Beautiful Creatures," Margaret Stohl is going solo this spring with "Icons," which follows teen Dol in the aftermath of an apocalyptic event that wiped out her entire family. She soon learns her uncontrollable emotions—long thought to be her greatest weakness—could, in fact, be the key to saving mankind's future."Invisibility" by Andrea Cremer and David Levithan (May 7)
What's better than a new novel from one of our favorite authors? How about a new novel from two of our favorite authors? Andrea Cremer and David Levithan have teamed up for "Invisibility," the story of a cursed boy who no one—except new love Elizabeth—can see."Isla and the Happily Ever After" by Stephanie Perkins (May 7)
After falling in love with "Anna and the French Kiss" and swooning over "Lola and the Boy Next Door," our bodies are ready for Stephanie Perkins' third companion novel, "Isla and the Happily Ever After," set once again at, arguably, the most romantic high school in France: the School of America in Paris. Now, where do we sign up for our own semester abroad?"The Coldest Girl in Coldtown" by Holly Black (September 1)
With acclaimed "Curse Workers" series coming to an end, Holly Black is biting into a new genre: vampires! Inspired by the short story Holly penned for "The Eternal Kiss" anthology, "The Coldest Girl in Coldtown" is set in a not-so-distant future in which the bloodsucker population has surged, necessitating quarantine zones known as Coldtowns, where humans and vamps co-exist in a perpetual orgy of bloodlust—all streamed live via the internet. "Twilight," this is not."Unbreakable" by Kami Garcia (Fall 2013)
Margaret's "Beautiful Creatures" writing partner Kami Garcia also has a novel of her own coming out this year: "Unbreakable." The story centers around teen Kennedy Waters, who following her mother's death, discovers that she is a member of a centuries-old secret society tasked with protecting the world from demonic forces. We don't recommend waiting too long to read this one—the film rights have already been scooped up.Which 2013 YA novels are you looking forward to most? Leave your picks in the comments or Tweet us!
Переслать - Top 5 Style Superstars Of 2012
With 2012 coming to a close, the year-end best-of lists are flying fast and furious around the web—and on this blog, we've been considering every conceivable category, from Hottest Movie Sex to Favorite YA Novel to Best Thing Channing Tatum Did This Year (where his revealing performance in "Magic Mike" is currently in the lead about five times over, proving once again that there's nothing the public loves more than a naked, gyrating manbutt.)
And this week, we're bringing you a very special edition of our Friday Style Superstar feature...with five phenomenal red-carpet looks that were the most super of all, and a chance for you to crown the queen (or king!) of this year's fashion scene. Who will be our Style Supernova? Only you can decide between...
Blake Lively in Zuhair Murad
Blake was a glamorous stunner in this dizzying dress with intricate op-art beadwork—and the Veronica Lake sideswept curls are absolutely classic.Anne Hathaway in Valentino Couture
This has been an amazing year for Anne, and not just because she went from embodying Catwoman's feline bad-assery in "The Dark Knight Rises" to delivering a shoo-in-for-Oscar performance in "Les Miserables." The actress has developed a daring and unique sense of style to go with her uber-celebrity status—and while many of her red carpet looks were killer, this floral high-necked gown was a particular standout.Robert Pattinson in Gucci
Not only was he ubiquitous this year—with three films to promote, there was no escaping RPattz in 2012—but Rob brought major game to the masculine style scene with his penchant for well-tailored, bright-colored menswear. The best? His green houndstooth suit at the "Breaking Dawn" premiere.Taylor Swift in Elie Saab
Taylor rarely makes a fashion misstep, but she also has a tendency to play it safe—always going for the same signature combo of shimmery gold-hued gowns, soft blonde waves and lush red lips. Imagine our surprise and delight when she took a chance in this sexy red gown with ooh-la-la lace paneling on the bodice... and nailed it!Jennifer Lawrence in Tom Ford
Truth: We could have filled every one of our available Superstar slots with Jennifer's looks from the various "Hunger Games" premieres; she was flawless at every single one. But this backless, black, long-sleeved dress from the Paris premiere was an especially daring and different choice—and she wore it like whoa.Whose look do you think deserves top honors?
Переслать - Does Watching 'Les Miserables' Make Star Anne Hathaway Cry?
If you've been following the "Les Miserables" machine in these final days leading up to its Christmas release, you'll know that the Oscar buzz surrounding Anne Hathaway's performance as Fantine is becoming very buzzy indeed—and if you've been lucky enough to see an early screening of the movie, you'll know that it's because her performance of "I Dreamed a Dream" is a mad, passionate, rip-out-your-guts show-stopper the likes of which has never been seen on screen. So when we sat down with Anne to chat about all things "Les Mis," we had to ask: When she sees herself in that scene, does she weep hysterically along with everybody else?
"Thank you for saying that," Anne said, before confirming that yes, the scene has the same effect on her as it does on the rest of the audience...albeit not for the same reasons.
"I cry, but I think it's because I'm still connected to the experience of making it," she explained, going on to say that she still feels her character's vulnerability when discussing the film. "I have to be aware when I'm doing press, because it brings me a lot closer to Fantine, and she's so broken. I have to protect myself a little bit. So I did cry...just because I was back in the process of making it."
That said, Anne freely admits when it comes to all the other scenes in "Les Mis," her emotional response is as an audience member, not an actor: "The rest of the film made me bawl like a baby."
Will you be bringing tissues to your "Les Mis" viewing?

Переслать - 5 Things To Do Before Seeing 'Les Miserables'
by Jessica Marshall
Do you hear the people sing? In less than a week, you will hear that music! You will witness the romance! You will behold the majestic pantaloons and cravats!
Director Tom Hooper's ("The King's Speech") new musical film adaptation of "Les Miserables," starring Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried, is coming to theaters this very Christmas day. It's a tale of war, strife and romance set amid the tumult of 19-century France, where fashion is frilly and tigers come at night.
Some of us were born ready for this, already knowing the story and music by heart (having spent long hours prancing around our childhood bedrooms pretending that we're in a castle on a cloud...). But if you aren't part of that "Les Mis"-obsessed crowd, we're not going to stand by and be all laissez-faire about it. Here are five things you absolutely must do before seeing this film.
Go see the show
The movie is based on the plot and music of the long-running, Tony-award-winning hit musical. It was on Broadway for almost 20 years, and it's still touring in major cities around the world, so chances are that you can catch it at a theater near you!Listen to the musical soundtrack
The iconic music carries the plot in the film, leaving very little room for actual dialogue. We guarantee you will recognize some of the most famous ballads like "Do You Hear the People Sing" and "I Dreamed a Dream." But be forewarned as you sit back and take a listen—it's super-catchy! We highly recommend using the shower as a concert venue when you become addicted...Read the book
Nothing will make your holiday vacation more upbeat and refreshing than immersing yourself in a book about the wretched poor of early- to mid-19th century France. But more importantly, reading Victor Hugo's famous 1862 novel will give you a deeper look at the already-intriguing characters in the movie.Watch the previous movie adaptation
Liam Neeson, Uma Thurman, Geoffrey Rush and Claire Danes brought "Les Miserables" to the big screen in 1998 as a straight, non-musical adaptation of the book. It's not a feel-good movie by any stretch, but a dashing Liam Neeson as the heroic Jean Valjean does give us stomach butterflies.Take a taste of Le France
Paris—where a good portion of the film takes place—is lovely. We're all for recommending you take a trip there, but because it would be a little hard to get to the City of Lights on such short notice, we suggest that you enjoy a fine French meal instead. A little wine (or sparkling grape juice for les enfants), a little cheese, a little bread—a little petit dejeuner will get you in the mood to watch a movie steeped in French history and culture. Are you excited to see "Les Mis" in theaters over the holiday break? Tell us why in the comments section!
Переслать - Kristen Bell's Apocalyptic Revelation
The internet has seen its fair share of apocalypse-related tweets today, as it is the eve of the supposed doomsday, after all. But, perhaps the cutest revelation came by way of actress Kristen Bell, who noticed some surprising weight gain...just in time for the world to end.
well, it happened and just in time for the end of the world...I've finally gained weight in my hands.
— Kristen Bell(@IMKristenBell) December 20, 2012
Of course, Kristen has reason to put on the pounds—she's pregnant with her first child! The actress is expecting with fiance Dax Shepard.
We have a sneaking suspicion that baby will be the recipient of a lot of sloth-adorned apparel.

Переслать - Your Guide To The Men Of 'Les Mis'
You guys, it's such a cold, lonely December here in the streets of poverty-stricken 1850s Paris. Especially when we're on our own—nowhere to turn, no one to go to! Without a home or friend or face to say hello to! The only comfort? There are eligible bachelors all over the place...as you can clearly see in the soon-to-be-released "Les Miserables," which hits theaters like a freight train of ogle-worthy male hotness on Christmas Day.
...Oh, right and there's also some singing and student uprising and something about redemption for the trod-upon victims of society's cruel indifference. But really, primarily, this film is a buffet of good-looking dudes in cravats and trousers and fancy hats. And in order to maximize your viewing pleasure, we've put together this handy guide to the Men of "Les Mis," ranked in order of desirability. Who's on our list? Check it.
5. Monsieur Thenardier
Played by: Sacha Baron Cohen
The grasping innkeeper and caretaker of tiny Cosett is a gangly, vulgar, predatory bastard—even his own wife says as much—but there's no denying that the master of the house has a certain smarmy charm.4. Javert
Played by: Russell Crowe
You know nothing of Javert! ...Except that he's driven, ambitious, endowed with a deeply felt sense of right and wrong, and looks damn fine in a policeman's uniform (pointy hat and all!). He can put us in cuffs any day.3. Jean Valjean
Played by: Hugh Jackman
Sure, he's got a checkered past stealing a loaf of bread—and that bald-and-bearded look he sports at the outset of the film is really and truly unfortunate—but we'd happily give our digits to number 24601. Call us!2. Enjolras
Played by: Aaron Tveit
The hot-blooded leader of a student group desirous of revolution, Enjolras is the type of guy who'll keep you up until the wee hours with ardent political debate...and then keep you up the rest of the night in, um, other ways.1. Marius
Played by: Eddie Redmayne
The ultimate "Les Mis" dreamboat, the handsome and sensitive Marius only has eyes for Cosette—but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy elaborate fantasies about being loved by him while wandering the lonely streets of Paris in the rainy dark.Who's your favorite "Les Mis" heartthrob?
