  • Kristen Stewart's 'Breaking Dawn' Premiere Dress Is Up For Charitable Grabs

The critics might have been split on whether Kristen Stewart's sheer chiffon-and-lace beige bustier dress from the L.A. premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" was a style stunner or a fashion faux pas, but at least we can all agree that she's taking it off for a good cause! According to GossipCop, the actress has offered up her autographed Zuhair Murad gown to the Hurricane Sandy relief effort.

This isn't Kristen's first contribution on behalf of the recovery effort since the storm carved a path of destruction along much of the Jersey coast; her dressy donation comes in the wake of an appearance at the star-studded 12-12-12 benefit, where she made a speech to encourage support. And thanks to her latest contribution, the dress is being auctioned online at Charitybuzz as we speak, with proceeds to benefit the Robin Hood Foundation.

So if you're feeling philanthropic—or if you've always wanted to raid KStew's closet and you've got a few thousand dollars to burn in making your dream a reality—then now's your chance to hunt it down and take your best shot at zipping your own butt into those big built-in satin underpants. Godspeed, my friend.

Do you approve of Kristen's contributions on behalf of the hurricane relief effort?

  • 'The Host' EXCLUSIVE Set Visit: Diane Kruger Is White Hot

With a mere three months until the alien invasion, MTV News is doing its best to prepare you for all those parasitic Souls—think of our features as a survival guide of sorts. In addition to "The Host" trailer debut and interviews with Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons and Stephenie Meyer, we're rolling out an EXCLUSIVE chat with Diane Kruger, otherwise known as the nefarious Seeker.

Diane explained the Seeker's role in the post-apocalyptic society imagined in Stephenie's novel: "The Seekers in general, they're looking for the last pockets of human resistance. Practically the entire world has been taken over," she said. "My character is a little different. You come to understand that this Seeker, me, is a little off."

Something else Diane also considers a bit off? The Seeker's wardrobe, which is composed solely of eye-catching futuristic cuts in ivory.

"All the Seekers are always in white and, well, this is a big part of my outfit. I have different outfits, but they're all white, perfect. My hair is always perfect," she explained. "It's been really fun. It's sort of like, 'Really? You're wearing a white outfit in the desert riding a motorcycle that is shiny chrome?' Okay!"

We all know what they say about wearing white after Labor Day, but no one explained the after-an-alien-invasion protocol, so...

"The Host" hits theaters March 29, 2013.

  • Dan Wells: My Favorite YA Novel Of 2012

Dan WellsAs part of Hollywood Crush's Best YA Novel of 2012 poll, we've enlisted a handful of our favorite teen lit writers to weigh in on the tomes that touched them this year. Our final essay comes from Dan Wells, author of "Partials" and the forthcoming "Fragments," out February 2013.

My favorite YA book of the year was "Insignia" by S.J. Kincaid, a kind of science fiction Harry Potter about a group of kids training to fight in World War III. The war is fought with drones, manipulated remotely through virtual reality, which essentially means that the war is being fought with video games, and the best warriors are the best gamers. To make the kids even better players the government puts computers in their brains, and that's when the science fiction kicks into overdrive and the virtual world starts blending with the real one. The teens learn how to program their brains, first just playing simple tricks on each other, but soon starting to suspect that other people—gangs, governments and multinational corporations—are secretly altering their thoughts, their personalities and even the way they perceive the world. It's cyberpunk at its best, twisting the world we know and the ways we communicate in exciting and terrifying new directions. I loved every page, and I can't wait for the sequel.

  • Jennifer Lawrence To Host 'SNL': We've Got Sketch Ideas!

Jennifer LawrenceEven with a blockbuster franchise in the can and an Oscar nomination on your resume, everyone knows that no young celebrity has really and truly arrived until they take the stage at Rockefeller Center to deliver a "Saturday Night Live" monologue...so congratulations, Jennifer Lawrence, on finally achieving the type of Hollywood legitimacy that no amount of awards-season buzz can confer.

Jennifer is in line to host the long-running comedy show on January 19, where she'll be featured alongside musical guest (and Josh Hutcherson favorite) the Lumineers. The only question remaining: what kind of uniquely J-Law sketches will the audience be treated to? We've got three good guesses:

    "Hunger Games" hilarity
Whether it's a riff on the series' silly names or a send-up of the dystopian trend at large, fans will be violently disappointed if there's no homage to Jennifer's most widely-known role—so we can almost certainly expect something Hunger-Game-y to go down during her hosting gig.

    "X-Men" Mystique
Jennifer's role in "X-Men: First Class" is ripe for the picking; we're picturing the entire cast decked out in prosthetic scales and all-over blue body paint for a sketch entitled "Mystique's family reunion."

    A "Shore" thing
Why not? It's been too long since Bill Hader strapped on his front-and-back sixpack to play The Situation—and we all know that Jennifer has an uncanny-accurate Snooki impression in her repertoire.

What are your hopes for Jennifer's first "SNL" hosting gig? Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!

  • Kiera Cass: My Favorite YA Novel Of 2012

Kiera CassAs part of Hollywood Crush's Best YA Novel of 2012 poll, we've enlisted a handful of our favorite teen lit writers to weigh in on the tomes that touched them this year. Next up is Kiera Cass, author of "The Selection" and the forthcoming "The Elite," out April 2013.

I don't think it's any secret that there have been some stellar books in YA this year. From chilling to heartbreaking to adorable and full of girls in cute dresses competing for a prince *cough cough*, we've seen it all. But I'd like to take a moment to mention some of the quieter books this year, books that maybe you didn't hear about so much, but you should have. These authors took on storytelling in slightly unexpected ways and were refreshing if only because they were different.

First up is "Chopsticks" by Jessica Anthony and Rodrigo Corral. If you're looking for a book that you can get through in less than an hour or you can stay engaged with for weeks, look no more. Told through a series of photographs, playlists, YouTube URLs and the like, you learn about Glory and Frank's love story the way you remember your own: through the little moments that make it what it is. It's creepy and kind of beautiful. Like us, ya know?

Next is "Why We Broke Up," written by Daniel Handler and illustrated by Maira Kalman. Now, I won't lie, this book irritated me to no end. I like to think this book should have really been called "Why Did We Date in the First Place?"... because the relationship blows. But! The way it's shared was really cool, and a bit similar to "Chopsticks." Min shows us her relationship with Ed a piece at a time using trinkets from their moments together. And that's why it's cool: because a rubber band is sometimes more than just a rubber band, and we all get that. Still annoying, but I'm just saying.

And, finally, my fave, "Guitar Notes" by Mary Amato. This is the story of two polar opposites sharing the school guitar and practice room on alternating days, hating on each other (and eventually getting to know one another) through notes they leave in the guitar strings. The story itself is mostly light, making Lyla and Tripp's adventures together a sweet read, but here's where it gets fun: THERE'S A SONG BOOK IN THE BACK! All of the songs made up in the book YOU could learn to play yourself. And I love that we get to be a part of the story by indulging our inner rock star. I love that idea, and I feel like all of these books are cool because they give us something we can play with long after we've put the book on our shelf.

Is this the future of young adult books? I don't know. But it is pretty rad.

So, yeah, let's all show John Green some love because "The Fault in Our Stars" pretty much made 2012 laugh till it peed and then cry in its pillow. But let's also give a high five to the authors out there looking for a new way to engage with their readers and bring them into the stories they tell. And let's hope it only gets better in 2013!
