- Style Superstar: AnnaSophia Robb Walks On The Wild Side
Spring has sprung—especially when it comes to the red-carpet style on display this week at the launch of Salvatore Ferragamo's Signorina fragrance. Celebrity attendees posed in front of a giant wall covered top-to-bottom with sprays of pink roses, and almost everyone broke out their best and brightest Ferragamo duds to color the occasion. Who stood out like a Style Superstar? And whose look threatened to fade into the background? Check it.
AnnaSophia Robb only just scored the lead role in "Sex and the City" high-school reboot "The Carrie Diaries," but she's wasted no time decking herself out in designer duds that would do Carrie Bradshaw proud. The actress showed up in a flattering dress whose whimsical print really stood out from the crowd (and, more importantly, the busy pink background that all attendees were photographed in front of.) Few ladies could pull off a look quite this wild (ha! ha!), but AnnaSophia looked fresh-faced, comfortable, and fully in her element—and while the last lady to play Carrie B. left some seriously fashionable shoes to fill, those navy satin pumps are holding their own in a big way.
Also at this event: Kate Mara! The "American Horror Story" alum also dressed for the occasion in Ferragamo duds in a palette that played to perfection against her auburn locks—but then sabotaged her standout look with a dull choice of shoes and hunched-up shoulders. And Kate is too pretty to slouch in the background, so here's hoping that the next time she breaks out this tulip-hemmed beauty of a dress, she pairs it with brighter shoes and better posture.

Переслать - 'Hunger Games': 5 Delicious Morsels You Didn't Taste In The Trailer
In an age when movie trailers reveal nearly every plot and punch line long before fans take their seats in the cineplex, Lionsgate took a unique (and much-welcomed) approach to its marketing of "The Hunger Games," relying heavily on pre-Arena material and leaving nearly all of the Games-centric scenes for ticket-holding movie-goers. And with so much unseen footage, there was a veritable feast of new moments to chew on once we savored the finished product. So, in honor of the film's release today, we've hand-picked five of our favorite first looks from the flick. Dig in, but be warned: slightly spoilerish territory ahead...
The control room
With a simple perspective shift—expanding the goings-on of Panem beyond Katniss' first-person viewpoint—director Gary Ross was able to build upon the world Suzanne Collins established in her best-seller. The tastiest addition? Gamemaker Seneca Crane's lair, otherwise known as the control room, where we watch the schemer utilize high-tech gadgetry to make the Tributes' lives a living hell. The tracker jacker scene
Speaking of the teens' trials and tribulations, Gary told MTV News that this stinging sequence was the most daunting to shoot. And now we see why—with all the tree-top acrobatics and special effects required. But, clearly, it was worth it. (Thought Glimmer might not agree.)Peeta's camouflage
People magazine gave fans a cool sneak peek of the baker's son showing off his camouflage capabilities before the Games. Without giving too much away, we'll just say those skill plays out in a humorous way later one.The kiss
You know which one we're talking about...Katniss' final interview dress
We'd already seen her Reaping dudes and Girl on Fire costume (albeit, unlit), but the film finally gave fashionistas their first look at the whimsical yellow frock Katniss wears for her post-Games interview with Caesar Flickerman. And it's something to behold: a fluffy, frilly confection that may have just jumped to the top of our Halloween costume list. You really outdid yourself, Cinna. If you've seen "The Hunger Games" already, what was your favorite moment not featured in the trailer? Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!
Переслать - Young Carrie Bradshaw Sparkles In First Official 'Carrie Diaries' Image
by Elizabeth Lancaster
It's here! The first official photo of AnnaSophia Robb as "The Carrie Diaries" teenage protagonist. As you can see, the show's title character sure dresses like one. With a full, sequined-covered dress—belted, of course—red stiletto heels and green animal-print sweater, this outfit screams adult Carrie with a cheeky '80s twist.
Fashion is sure to be just as pertinent to The CW pilot as it was to "Sex and the City," and the bar is set high by adult Carrie's fashionista legacy. The show's costume designer, Eric Damon, knows what he is getting into, explaining in a release from Warner Bros: "It's a rare invitation to dress a character whose reputation truly precedes her. Having played a hand in designing for the Carrie we know and love, I am honored to be chosen to carry the torch—to illuminate the woman we know by discovering the young lady she was."
With a smile on her face, the Queensboro Bridge in the background, and a killer outfit, AnnaSophia is just what we want for a young Carrie Bradshaw. It will be fun to see what other influences the '80s and her youth have on her style, and on the "The Carrie Diaries."

Переслать - 'Hunger Games' Famous Fans: We Spot Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield At Midnight Screening!
by Uptin Saiidi
While celebs like Demi Lovato have been pretty vocal about their excitement to see "The Hunger Games," two new star stans were unmasked last night in New York, where we spotted Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone at a midnight screening! The "Amazing Spider-Man" stars arrived 20 minutes before the showing and sat two rows in front of me at a Midtown theater.
Andrew came, presumably, fresh off a performance of his Broadway show "Death of a Salesman," wearing a hooded sweatshirt. And there was no Katniss costume for Emma, as she had on a white beanie. But the couple didn't need to try too hard to go incognito; the crowd was too busy yelling across the theater, "I volunteer!" and getting settled with last-minute popcorn purchases.
Andrew popped out to grab a tub of their own buttered stuff, and minutes later the couple were watching themselves in their upcoming movie, when the trailer for "The Amazing Spider-Man" came on! Andrew seemed a bit fidgety to see himself on an IMAX screen, while Emma kept it pretty chill. Watching yourself on an IMAX screen kiss the girl you're sitting next to...cool? Awkward? Maybe, just awkwardly cool.
Also, Andrew brought a backpack with him, and I couldn't help but wonder if it had the same contents as the "Amazing Spider-Man" backpack sent to MTV News' very own Josh Wigler.
By the end of the movie— just as I was settling into the idea of sitting in a theater with my friendly neighborhood Spider-Man—I was reminded of their celeb status by the speed in which they darted out.
If "The Hunger Games" meets earning expectations this weekend, Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy will be well-acquainted with their box-office competition.
Did you have any celebrity sightings at your midnight "Hunger Games" screening?
Переслать - 'Secret Circle' Recap: 'Curse'
by Ryan J. Downey
Cassie and Adam are so committed to the Secret Circle they were willing to swallow a magical elixir they knew would wipe away their romance in order to save Jake, who they just found out is (or at least, was) a killer. While it was incredibly sad, tragic and noble of them, it was all for naught, because:
They were being played! By John Blackwell!
Yes, the "Curse" from which last night's episode of "The Secret Circle" took its name was all a lie concocted by none other than Cassie's father, John Blackwell. Turns out Mr. "I don't use or have my dark magic anymore" Blackwell is very much in possession of enough magic to make Jake very sick, manipulate Jane's memories (poor Jane and the constant monkeying with her mind by basically everyone over the age of 18!), kill a bunch of birds and cause Adam to fall out of love with Cassie. Blackwell may look cool as a cucumber as he's constantly popping that collar, but he's been up to no good and spreading lies all around town.
Dawn figured out what he's up to and he warned her not to make him an enemy at the episode's end, just as Charles was off plotting against him.
Blackwell said that it was Cassie's mother and Adam's father's date with destiny that caused the "massacre" on the boat 16 years ago. He said the pair were willing to leave the Circle to be pursue their romance written in the stars, which caused the rest of the crew to be vulnerable to the witch hunters. As we know, the witch hunters are back. And the fact that they are using magic means that somebody is aiding them. But even though Cassie, Adam and the rest of the Circle are fooled by Blackwell's scheming for the time being (particularly Melissa, who warms to him after a few anecdotes about her late mother), there's reason to believe the younger Circle will grow closer, which may be all John's really after (despite the twisted way he's going about it). Faye learned a big lesson about how important her friends really are and although the Circle now knows that Jake killed somebody, Blackwell wants him to recognize his importance to the overall group.
Perhaps it's executive producer Kevin Williamson's well-documented love of classic slasher films (he is, after all, the guy who revived the genre when he wrote the "Scream" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer" movies), but "The Secret Circle" is definitely keeping the tradition alive of tying some serious consequences to teen sex. Last week's episode ended with Cassie and Adam finally doing the deed and this week's began with a bunch of dead birds all over the lawn as a result!
In a series of awkward scenes, Cassie and Adam had to actually talk about the fact that they got it on. Blackwell was the first to hear (or rather, pretend to "deduce") the news as he told them all about the "curse" we would eventually learn is bogus. Understandably shaken, the couple went to see mind-wiped Jane at whatever home for crazy folks she's at to get some answers. It was Blackwell's idea they do that naturally, and we later learn that he spellbound her into backing up his story. Later in the episode, Dawn and Charles paid a visit to Jane to try to get some dirt on old Blackwell from her. While there, they learned that the whole "curse" was totally made up. Later still, Charles returned on his own and seemingly reversed all the memory wiping with the magic crystal and asked Jane to help him destroy Blackwell.
The next awkward conversation for Adam and Cassie was with the Circle who, as Faye herself (a.k.a. Phoebe Tonkin) told Hollywood Crush earlier this week, wanted nothing to do with the steamy details. It was especially awkward for Diana, of course. Faye had her own problems: namely, the fact that her sort of boyfriend Lee had been killed by his recently awakened girlfriend Eva, who was full of Faye's power thanks to a voodoo-doll-enhanced switcheroo. It took a couple of aggressive run-ins with her romantic rival to piece all of this together, including a vehicular break-in interrupted by a cop who is treated to a distracting magical unbuttoning of Diana's shirt courtesy of Melissa. Yes, Faye's BFFs were along for the Scooby Doo gang snooping at one point and the bonding was definitely to everyone's benefit.
Jake wasn't around for the Circle's powwow because he was too busy dying at his place. Cassie and Adam dropped by and found him in his boxers (awkward moment No. 3) and had to—you guessed it— tell him about the "curse" and the whole "we did it last night" thing. Jake was too increasingly ill to even bother with hiding his jealousy. He straight up told Cassie at one point that she knows they should be together instead.
Blackwell said he could put together a little potion that would break the curse. He suggested they pay a visit to Calvin, which of course put Jake in a further panic, considering Jake killed him a few episodes back. Calvin was nowhere to be seen but they grabbed most of the necessary ingredients from his place anyway—all but one, which Cassie, Adam and Jake go wandering into the woods to find. Jake started hallucinating and sort of accidentally confessed to Calvin's murder in the process.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Circle (minus Faye, who was back doing battle with Eva; she eventually discovered the voodoo doll and broke it, seemingly setting things mostly all right save for poor Lee who was still very much dead) was with Blackwell mixing up the elixir. Melissa had that little moment with Blackwell (could she be The Secret Sibling?) and the group efforts were followed by Cassie and Adam's valiant decision to give up their own love for the sake of Jake and the Circle.
The next morning, there's a sweet "Game of Thrones" reference but there's also a lack of burning love for Cassie from Adam. He didn't feel that "nervousness" around her that he usually felt whenever he was with her, or even thinking about her. She pretended to have the same void but after he was gone, she broke down. Cassie still felt everything. Blackwell offered her some comfort, but she asked him to give her some space (perhaps she suspected something was up?). He headed outside and was confronted by Dawn, who threw out all of the pieces she'd put together. He confessed to all of it then threatened her against ever questioning him again.
So is Blackwell out for himself with nothing but evil intentions? Or is he just pulling a bunch of lame crap in a bigger picture effort to strengthen the Circle and prepare them for the inevitable witch hunter showdown? And when will The Circle realize what he's up to? What's Charles' endgame in all of this? Will Adam's lack of love for Cassie provide an opportunity for Jake to slide back in there? Phoebe told us The Secret Sibling will be revealed this season, and there's reason to believe they will all learn the truth about their parents, too. Tell us all your thoughts and theories in the comments and on Twitter!
Переслать - 'Vampire Diaries' Recap: 'Break On Through'
by Cassie Title
Say it with me, friends: filler. That's basically all last night's "Vampire Diaries" episode was. Filler, filler, filler. Maybe if we chant fuller, fuller, fuller, next week will be just that. Can anyone say fuller in Latin? Perhaps a witchy spell might help? Where's Bonnie when you need her?
That would be helping her deadbeat ex-witch, newly turned vampire mom, Abby, transition into her new life. Which, if I may be honest, was a lost cause from the beginning. Abby seemed like she'd be a cool character to learn about, but for now, if she stays gone, I'm just gonna say I told you so: once a dead-beat runaway mom, always a dead-beat runaway mom. If you leave your actual child and then your pseudo-son, Jamie, which you did, despite Caroline's protests, you're kind of just a waste of space, a filler plot line in the Mystic Falls life, if you will.
And speaking of Caroline, I love how she's become the voice of reason on this show! Remember when she sucked? Man, Vampire Barbie rocks!
So, important things from this episode. Let's talk about it.
1. "Ric, the world can't stop just because you're an accidental psycho killer." Wise words from Damon, at what I think is the Wickery Bridge Rededication ceremony or something. This is because it seems that Ric truly is the accidental psycho killer. In fact, it doesn't seem that way, it is that way. I know this because at one point Ric goes crazy on Meredith, asking her if she ever feels remorse, because the council's supposed to protect people from vampires, and they're all just chilling, ignoring their responsibilities. This was paraphrasing, just to let you know. And then he chased her up the stairs and she had to stab him with a nail scissor and lock herself in the bathroom just to escape his murdering ways. Oh, and in his files, there was a note to Jeremy, telling him that he has the ring, and he has to finish "their work," which can only start once the council was cleansed. Thus, the murders make sense: the medical examiner covered up the vampire deaths, Bill was on the council, Meredith (who's OK but injured) is on the council, and even Alaric's on the council, accounting for his attack on himself. Now, if we learn more about Samantha Gilbert and what's actually going on with this ring, I'll be all set.
2. Sage! I was psyched, and I still kind of am, sort of. Sage returned for the Wickery Bridge Rededication, and the timing seemed ominous, for sure. Damon was still trying to figure out how to kill the Originals, which was strange, because I kind of forgot about why that's important, but whatever. I also forgot that they were still linked, which is super-important, and I'm hitting myself now because WHO DOES THAT? Anyway, Sage helped Damon figure out what Rebekah's was up to. This resulted in a plan that included heavy drinking, sexy dancing and, well, sex. Sage can apparently touch someone and see into her soul, or more specifically her mind, which she did by touching a very relaxed and asleep Rebekah's hair, and then taking off her shirt and walking into a steamy shower. I'm not exactly sure why taking off her shirt and the shower was necessary, but Damon followed. She was able to tell Damon that Rebekah's looking for the white oak tree. How did she convey the message? By kissing him and giving him access to Rebekah's memories. Pretty cool vampire power, if I do say so myself. So Damon was all psyched and used his family's records to find the tree, and Sage agreed to help him kill Rebekah as long as he let Finn and her walk off into the sunset. Because, oh yeah, Finn is Sage's one true love. You know, the creepy Norman Bates one who volunteered to die for his mother. Apparently, 900 years ago, he turned Sage so they could be together forever. But Sage was on to Damon—she saw that his promise was a lie, that all the Originals are still linked and so told Rebekah to burn down Wickery frickin' Bridge, because that's where the white oak tree wood is! Can you believe it? So we think Damon's been double-crossed, which he has, but then he surprises us, because he had the original Wickery Bridge sign that no one knew he had, which, as you may have guessed, was crafted from that very same white oak tree. Game on, Salvatores. There's a battle a brewing for next week.
3. Hopefully, it involves Jeremy, because at the end of the episode, Elena calls him! The filming was kind of ominous, so I'm thinking that psycho Ric is, like there, indoctrinating Jeremy into the Accidental Murderers Club, but it was just a regular phone call, which was quite disappointing.
4. Last thing involves Bonnie's spell to keep Ric's inner killer at bay. He's under Damon's watch at his apartment. I wonder what will go wrong.
What did you think of Sage? Are you excited to see Klaus and Finn and whoever else returns next week? Is the Sage and Finn thing like the Damon and Katherine thing? Are you psyched to see them interact? Don't you kind of feel like killing the Originals is so, like, four weeks ago? Should our favorite characters just get over it? Are we going to learn more about the crazy ring? Is Jeremy going to return? Do you feel bad for Rebekah, despite the fact that Damon's usage of her was still really, really hot? Let me know! On Twitter, or in the comments below!
Переслать - Liam Hemsworth Weighs In On Miley Cyrus' 'Hunger Games' Future
Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus have been on Hollywood's romantic radar for such a long time that we kinda-sorta thought they'd be one of those couples— you know, the ones who are so super-close that they share EVERYTHING. But nooooooo. Despite their intimate relationship, Liam had not yet allowed his ladylove to see "The Hunger Games" when we spoke to him a few weeks back. Instead, he waited until all the hoopla was out of the way (along with, we're guessing, his own personal anxieties over whether or not his performance sucked), before he relaxed enough to tell her it was okay to check out the film.
"Yeah, she can see it now," he said. "She's excited about it too."
So excited, he said, that she was actually hoping she'd get in early to see it: "She wanted to come the other day, but I didn't allow anyone to come the other day."
But while Liam is willing to share the fruits of his labor with Miley, is he willing to share screen time with her in one of the "Hunger Games" sequels? Josh Horowitz asked him! And Liam's response?
"Who knows?" he laughed.
So, maybe! He's noncommittal! Except he also kind of did a shifty thing with his eyes there (Right? He did! We totally saw it!), which makes us think that this is one franchise that Liam would rather keep to himself...and that if Miley was hoping to score a part in everyone's most-anticipated cinematic trilogy, she's gonna have to do it all by herself. Ooooooh, drama.
Would you want to see Miley Cyrus join her boyfriend in "Catching Fire"?
Переслать - 'The Host' Teaser Trailer Debuts
Considering production on the big-screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's alien-invasion novel, "The Host," began little more than a month ago, it's not surprising the film's first teaser trailer (which debuted today on Yahoo! Movies) is light on actual footage, relying instead on a chilling voiceover from star Saoirse Ronan and stock imagery of Earth and its body-snatched inhabitants.
"The Earth is at peace," Saoirse's Melanie/Wanderer begins as the third rock from the sun comes into focus. "There are no wars. There is no hunger. Honesty, courtesy and kindness are practiced by all. The world has never been more perfect. It is no longer your world." It's then that we see Melanie's glowing eyes — a sure sign her body has been invaded by soul Wanderer. Fans of the source material know, however, that Melanie hasn't given up complete control of her body, and even convinces Wanderer to go on a journey to find her loved ones — the last independent humans who've gone into hiding.
Directed by Andrew Niccol, the film also stars Jake Abel, Max Irons, William Hurt and Diane Kruger.
