- What Would Robert Pattinson Do With His 'Cosmopolis' Character's Millions?
Based on what we know about Robert Pattinson, he's a fairly thrifty man. Even though he's one of the biggest movie stars on the planet, he's not afraid to save his pennies for the future. Heck, he didn't even want to pay for a publicist to help him on the "Cosmopolis" media tour where he'd inevitably be fielding some of the most personal questions of his career.
That's why we weren't especially surprised when we heard his first answer when asked what he'd do with his "Cosmopolis" character Eric Packer's millions and billions of dollars. We asked RPattz the question during "MTV First: Robert Pattinson," and he immediately answered with a laugh, "Hoard it!"
Hey, we'd do the same, though maybe after updating our decrepit 2000 Toyota Corolla and paying off our student loans. But it turns out that "hoard it" was just the first thing that came to Rob's mind because he doesn't really have any idea what to do with that much money.
"I don't know. Yeah, I have no idea," he answered, struggling for a good response. "Try not to become a crazy a--hole," he finally said. "I mean, that's what happens to everyone who has that kind of money. Probably give it away as quickly as possible and then immediately regret it."
"Cosmopolis" pushes Rob as an actor more than any of his previous movies have, and it also features him in just about every single frame. As a result, it took RPattz quite a few viewings before he could really appreciate his David Cronenberg movie.
"The first time I saw it, it was pretty tough because I was watching it by myself and you can't really separate it, but then I watched it with an audience for the first time and it was actually a lot easier," he said. "It's so David's movie that I don't really see myself in it. And also I love the words so much. I always want to speak like that actually. I really enjoyed actually saying the stuff. It's not generic dialogue."

Переслать - Amber Riley Offers Up Some Advice For 'Glee' New Class
As we get nearer and nearer to the September 13 premiere of "Glee," it now seems as a good a time as any for the newbies joining the cast to get some advice from one of the show's most beloved vets, the one and only Amber Riley.
Sure, Mercedes might be moving to the City of Angels to kick start her professional singing career, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't have some sage wisdom to share with all new Gleeks joining the show for season four before she jets off.
"I mean I would say to the new kids make sure you love what you do because as much fun as it is, it's equally hard," she told MTV News. "It's hard work. Have fun while you're there. Appreciate it while you're there. Always remember you could have been flipping burgers somewhere. So just appreciate it, because it gets hard."
With so much "Glee" experience under her belt, that feels like some choice words the new cast should take to set with them. And while they (and Amber) aren't slinging burgers to pay the rent, Amber does know what she'd be doing if she didn't star on the hit Fox show.
"If I was not on 'Glee' I probably would be a teacher," she shared. "Education is very, very, very important to me. It was drawn into my head that you have to have a great education with my parents growing up."
Переслать - Robert Pattinson Hopes He's Not Losing His English Accent
Save for this year's period drama "Bel Ami," if you want to hear Robert Pattinson's irresistible English accent in a feature film, you'll have to dig through the archives and retrieve the quirky 2008 movie "How to Be." It seems filmmakers just aren't keen on utilizing the actor's native tongue, which is a real shame if you ask us.
Rob, of course, is a good sport about the whole thing, affecting an American accent with greater ease in each film role. But, does he ever worry he might be losing his English accent, little by little? That was the question posed to the actor during our recent MTV First: Robert Pattinson.
"I don't know," he said. "I guess I don't spend that much time in England. I hope not. I don't have the concern. I don't need to be like Jenny from the Block. I like to be international."
But being "international" didn't always pay off for the thespian, especially when he initially arrived on our shores, so to speak.
"When I first came to America, I couldn't drive, so I took taxis everywhere, so I got in the habit of speaking in an American accent just cause people genuinely couldn't understand you," he recalled. "The amount of times people asked me my name, and I'd be like, 'Rob.' [And they'd be like,] 'What are you saying? Your name is Rope?' I was like, 'How are you hearing Rope out of this?' So you just start doing it."

Переслать - Emma Watson Stares Into Your Soul In T Style Cover
When Emma Watson hits the big screen this September in the highly-anticipated "Perks of Being A Wallflower," what fans might notice is that instead of casting a spell, the actress will be casting her American accent on cinema-goers.
And, if you think it was hard for her to transition from her proper British inflection to one of a teen living in Pennsylvania, think again. It's something she had been working on for years. In fact having to sing as an American girl was even easier based on her youthful experiences with music.
"My grandma said — when I was really young and I'd sing along to the radio — 'why do you sing in an American accent?' I guess it was because a lot of the music I was listening to had American vocalists," she reveals in the new issue of T magazine. "And that was something ['Perks' director Stephen Chbosky] said to me as well: try singing the lines in an American accent. That kind of opened me up. Then I worked with a dialogue coach and I just put in the time to really, really listen and just go over it and over it and over it until I could do it without thinking about it too hard. And I just knew it was really important."
Including dishing about her life after "Harry Potter" and as a college co-ed at Brown University, she also talked about just how hard it is for her to go to a museum. "If I went to somewhere busy, I wouldn't last very long. I can't go to a museum, I'll last 10 or 15 minutes in a museum. The problem is that when one person asks for a photograph, then someone sees a flash goes off, then everyone else sort of . . . it's sort of like a domino effect," she said. "And then very quickly the situation starts to get out of control to a point where I can't manage it on my own."
Переслать - 'True Blood' Recap: 'Sunset'
Vampire behavioral science and setup work for next week's season-ender were the name of the game in this week's episode of "True Blood," as most of the cast converges on Authority headquarters for the grand finale.
Hive-minded idealists
Bill's rapid evolution from sensitive gentleman to power-hungry Lilith freak is one of the weirdest things to happen this season... and apparently, we're not the only ones who think so. Jessica, newly arrived at Authority headquarters, is shocked to see how her maker has changed. Her pleas to return to Bon Temps to warn Sookie and Jason of the Russell threat fail to sway him, and when she tries a bluff that appeals to Bill's newfound faith (giving Jason Stackhouse the gift of fangs), he calls her out with sneering superiority and sends her out to make good on it.Instead, Jessica
slipsstakes her security detail and runs for Fangtasia, where Pam gives her a hiding place and us some long-awaited exposition. Namely: nesting behavior, which causes a group of vampires living in one home to act as catty and exclusive as a table of eighth grade mean girls. And at the Authority, the nest has been kicked into overdrive by blood-of-Lilith use... which explains not only Bill's devolvement into this season's biggest douche canoe, but also why the chancellors keep having visions of the bloodied and be-merkin-ed Lilith standing in various hallways and personally selecting them to lead the cause. But not every Authority figure is on the train to Crazytown. Haunted by visions of the ghostly and disappointed Godric, Nora runs to Eric — who, unlike the rest, has been faking his zealotry — for forgiveness and makeup sex. And when a pissed-off visiting dignitary from the U.S. government presents an opportunity, Eric kills him and then takes off with Nora for a damage-control "glamouring campaign"... which is, of course, all a ploy to escape. And they do! Which is great, but considering that the big multi-cast-member finale looks to be taking place at the building they just left, they'll probably be back.
Where's Warlow?
Back at the faerie bordello, Sookie looks for answers to her plight from an ancient elder faerie who, as Maurella explains, "operates on many frequencies at once" — which is a nice way of saying that she's a dyed-in-the-wool weirdo. (She warns Sook that trouble is coming, but she also wants to know if she's "for or against" John Cougar Mellencamp and Boyz II Men.) The only thing that can sober her up? The news of Russell Edginton's return. The Elderfaerie vows that the Fae will fight, and when Russell and Steve find their way to the portal, it looks like she'll vanquish them post-haste... but no, the overconfident Elder makes a wild pitch, hits Jason Stackhouse with the vanquishing intended for Russell, and gets sucked to death in a matter of seconds. The bad news: no more mid-1990s R&B group references. The worse news: Russell's bellyful of blood means that he can now see the incredible, edible fae.And now, your moment of zen
Alcide. Shirtless. With an axe.
You're welcome.
And though we don't yet know what the werewolf's role in the final episode will be, Alcide and Daddy Herveaux have worked through their issues enough to tag team a marauding pack of babyvamps — which sets them up nicely for whatever showdown is in store next week. What did you think of this week's "True Blood"?
