Buzz On alum Matt Toka's Warped Tour fans are so obsessed with him that they too DYE THEIR HAIR GREEN. OK sure, it could totally be a coincidence that the most hardcore Toka Stans also happen to have green hair, but we're guessing it's more like an intentional homage to their idol.
But there weren't always throngs of fans dyeing their hair green for Toka: In recent years, his parents got divorced, his mom and grandpa wound up in jail, and the punk rocker's old band, Cherry Monroe, disbanded. But, after moving to L.A., writing and recording some hit songs, and posting them on YouTube, the green-haired rocker landed a deal with Warner Bros. and snagged himself a prime spot on Warped Tour. Mazel Tov, Matt! Fans love you AND are willing to ruin their natural hair-color and texture to prove their loyalty.
The green hair can't be a coincidence right? "You too?" "Awesome!"

PK strip down "Some Nights" to its three-part acoustic essence for "Buzzworthy Live."
You've heard what California indie rockers PK can do plugged in. But for their "Buzzworthy Live" acoustic performance, the quintet scales back to a single acoustic guitar, a keyboard and a bonus xylophone manned by singer Travis Hawley. Hawley, of course, needs no amplification -- he'd have our FEELINGS Spidey-sense tingling a hundred miles away when he sings, "I like the way you are with me." BRB, stealing that to text all our crushes. (Does anybody have Taylor Swift's number? Girl sounds like she probably needs to meet a nice Jewish boy like me.)

A pair of maracas gives "Some Nights" lends some extra rhythm as it unfurls into the chorus, and even without the distortion dialed up, guitarist Nick Fotinakes' heavy-duty strumming keeps the song barreling forward. The band's group vocals throw in some Mumford vibes (Hawley is San Luis Obispo's finest British import, don't forget), but lyrics about "warm nights" keep the song firmly embedded on the West Coast. Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga are about to get "PARTYNAUSEOUS" on their new collaboration.
Welp, apparently there's a connection between Indonesia and partying til you get perilously close to barfing, because Lady Gaga's next song, a collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, is about just that. So it stands to reason -- amirite? -- that it's called "Partynauseous." Gaga was recently spotted checking out Kendrick Lamar's Lollapalooza set, and now the two have come together to sing about partying and its potential ill effects. In Indonesia. We think.
Via a Facebook announcement, Lady Gaga explained (which is good, because we needed an explanation), "I wrote "PARTYNAUSEOUS" about Jakarta, and my relationship with that country. Wishing I could "get high with the enemy" and make peace. Once Kendrick + I started talking about life + his forward thinking views about love + hip hop, the song became something more."
We suspect that "Partynauseous" also may have something to do with confronting the Muslim officials in that country after her Indonesian "Born This Way Ball" concert was canceled in June. (So, does she want to get high with Muslim officials and police? Also, that is a sentence I never in my life thought I'd write. Also, I'm grasping at straws here.)
Gaga and Kendrick's "Partynauseous" will appear on Lamar's major label debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, out Oct 2. But, yeah! Jakarta and Kendrick Lamar and "Partynauseous"! We get it! You totally get it too, right?

By now, you're totally used to us bursting with pride and envy over Kelly Clarkson's sick voice, hot body, and gorgeous blond hair. You are not, however, used to us gushing over Kelly Clarkson and her insanely amazing... Eminem covers? Yep, never woulda seen that one coming.

As you might remember, while out on her "Stronger" tour, the Best Video With A Message VMA nominee has been taking cover song requests via Twitter. In recent weeks, Clarkson has put her own spin on Britney Spears' "Everytime," changed our lives with her cover of No Doubt's "Don't Speak," and now we're full-on obsessed with her version of Eminem's "Lose Yourself." Yes, we said EMINEM, and we agree: SHE'S THE BEST. As she threw on a hoodie to get in character, Kelly confessed: "I'm being very brave with this fan request." Shortly after, Kelly whipped Eminem's verses into lush melodies putting her own pop/R&B spin on the otherwise aggressive and passionate tune. Sure, we would have killed to see Kelly go in on Eminem's verses full-on rapper style, but she gets about 100,000 extra points for even attempting to touch this ahem, Oscar-winning song. Props on props on props!

I've been heavy into Brandy ever since the "I Wanna Be Down" era, so I'm thrilled to report that she's back on the scene with her Chris Brown-assisted, "Put It Down." And did I mention she's looking quite incredible? Like, zero aging going on here, guys.

In the Hype Williams-directed video, Brandy sports her signature braids as she flirts and makes puppy-eyes at Chris Brown. There's a ton of sick dancing from both Brandy and Breezy, and they almost, kinda, sorta, definitely look like they might make-out as they perch themselves atop mad expensive whips. Not much else happens in the way of plot, but we're totally cool with that because watching Brandy and Chris nail their choreography while almost potentially kissing is waayyyy enough for us to have this vid on repeat basically

Taylor Swift is back with a vengeance with her latest breakup anthem, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."
It was just yesterday that Taylor Swift released her brand-new single, "We Are Never Ever Gettng Back Together," and rumor has it that the track already broke the record for fastest rise to the top spot on the iTunes chart! Apparently, Taylor's new jam beat out Lady Gaga's "Born This Way," by reaching the top of the charts in a mere 50 minutes. WERQUE!

Anyway, Taylor's just released an adorable lyric video for her breakup anthem, and no, it (sadly!) doesn't feature tailor slashing her ex's tires and/or bashing his car window with bat and/or dumping all his clothes in a big bonfire a la Carrie Underwood. Rather, the stop-motion animated clip features cutesy handwritten notes (how Taylor of her!), record players, birds, and a bunch of other adorable things that all come together to teach Taylor's fans the lyrics to her new tune. We do kinda wish the lyric video was a little more keying-a-car aggro (NOT THAT WE ENDORSE THAT KIND OF THING!) and less here-are-these-lovely-birds-to-assist-me-in-my-painful-break-up." Then again, there's always room for the angsty anger in the real video, right? (HINT HINT HINT.)

The 2012 VMAs are rapidly approaching (Green Day, Pink, One Direction, and a bunch of other amazing people are performing!!), and Rihanna really wants you to vote for her! Rihanna, who is nominated for a whopping FIVE VMAs, recently appealed to her devoted Rihanna Navy with this photo urging them to vote, tweeting: "Pretty Please." With a cherry on top and maybe a one-on-one lunch date with you? Cause that'd be motivation enough for me. In a totally non-weird, besties kinda way.
And let us not forget, Rihanna's up for some of the night's biggest prizes! Her smash "We Found Love" is up for Video of the Year along with her duet with Drake on "Take Care." Rihanna will also battle for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and possibly get on the board in a number of professional categories, including Best Choreography and Best Visual Effects. Guys, Rihanna is asking YOU for a favor! When's that ever gonna happen again? Don't say no.

Green Day will perform live at this year's VMAs!
Brace yourselves guys, because the next artist CONFIRMED to perform at the 2012 VMAs is... GREEN DAY! Not only will the "Let Yourself Go" rockers be performing on the big night, but they're also slated to debut BRAND-NEW music from ¡Uno!, the first of their three forthcoming albums.
Their 2012 MTV VMA performance will be the fifth time the rockers grace the VMA stage (can you tell we're really into Green Day?), and as you might have already gathered, this year's show is on track to be a night of live music so good that if you miss it, you'll probably become a social pariah (plus, you'll miss out on all that good music!) We've got Pink performing a brand-new song from The Truth About Love, VMA nominees One Direction fulfilling all our boy band needs, Alicia Keys handling things on the R&B front and clearly, Green Day's got the rock moment all covered.
