- Star Spotting: Miley Cyrus Totally Makes Out With Her Pooch, We're Not Judging Though (PHOTO)
Miley Cyrus gets a wake-up call from her dog in the form of a giant smooch!
We know -- you're all "surprise, surprise! Here's Miley Cyrus posing with her dogs, yet again." (Please recall: THIS and THIS and THIS and THIS.) And while you're right, this is another photo of Miley and an adorable dog, you're trying to telling me that's gonna get old? Yeah, didn't think so. Also, this time it's a legit dog-to-human-lip-kiss! And sure, we do (in a totally non-stalkerish way) wish we were checking out a private smooch between Miley and her stunning model-of-a-future-husband-Liam-Hemsworth, this dog moment is pretty cute as well.
Along with a pic of the adorable in-bed-lip-kiss between her and her dog, the newly short-haired Miley tweeted the caption: "woke up to sloppy wet kisses from the cutest boy on the planet!!! Guess who?" Yeah, hopefully Liam's not the jealous type...

Переслать - Buzz Bites (8/21/12): Pink Graces This Week's Billboard Cover
Pink is on this week's Billboard cover.
+ VMA 2012 performer Pink is readying to release her sixth album, The Truth About Love, on Sept. 18. This week she's Billboard's cover feature. "There's this whole techno takeover going on right now that just does my head in and I knew I didn't want to do that. I'd rather dance around and sing goofy songs," she said. (Billboard)
+ Green Day has teamed up with "Angry Birds" for a 10-level game, which is expected to launch in the fall. The trio are transformed into pigs (with punk hairdos) and players will get to unlock the band's new song, "Troublemaker." Sweet, finally a way to teach my little nephews (and my mom) about Green Day. (Billboard)
+ Watch Lady Gaga and boyfriend Taylor Kinney get married... not for real, but in Gaga's final fashion video for "You And I." (Just Jared)
+ Check out The Killers covering Oasis "Don't Look Back in Anger" during U.K.'s V Festival in England. Also watch them perform new song "Miss Atomic Bomb" from Battle Born, which is due Sept. 18. (Idolator)
+ Jennifer Lopez is in the midst of making a 3-D concert film. Dance Again, which is also the name of her single with Pitbull, will showcase live performances as well as feature "the last few year's of Jennifer's life as she faced some big changes." (Idolator)
+ A couple months ago, The Black Keys alleged Pizza Hut and Home Depot used music in their commercials that closely resembled the band's songs and filed copyright infringement lawsuits. The companies each denied the charges. (MTV News)

Переслать - Taylor Swift To Perform A Brand-New Song At The 2012 MTV VMAs!
Swifties! Get ready, Taylor Swift is performing live at the 2012 VMAs! (Hope she brings Meredith!)
Hi Swifties, are you sitting down? You should sit down. Because the next artist who's going to perform at the 2012 VMAs is... TAYLOR SWIFT! The "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" singer is set to charm the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sept. 6 with a brand-new song, and quite frankly, I am more excited than her beloved cat Meredith at an all-you-can-eat catnip buffet.
We all know Taylor can deliver an intense VMAs performance, so you can bank on some real emotional singing that will pair nicely with the other groups taking the stage, like a fine bottle of Diet Dr. Pepper and kettle corn. (Seriously, try it!) This year's show is definitely going to be a night of insanely good performances with Pink singing a brand new song from The Truth About Love, VMA nominees One Direction causing a veritable tidal wave of SQUEES all over the world, Alicia Keys delivering the R&B realness, AND Green Day bringing their signature brand of TLC. (Meaning "Oh Love," not a "No Scrubs" cover, but that would be SO AWESOME.)
Find out more about Taylor Swift's VMA performance and other surprise VMAs guests after the jump!
That's not even all the news. Taylor is being joined by her fellow Punk'd alum Miley Cyrus, who joins Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, and -- wait for it -- the gold medal-winning U.S. WOMEN's GYMNASTICS TEAM handing out Moonmen that night. (Note to McKayla, you have to be impressed with this gig, right??!!)
But back to T. Swift. In case you doubt if the gal's got an amazing sense of humor, please lock in your memory forever that she allowed VMAs host Kevin Hart to poke a little fun at her love of breakup anthems.

(PHOTO)
Ke$ha and Garbage's Shirley Manson snap a photo to show off their epic hotness (and possible BFF status)!
Let's all PUH-RAISE Twitter for allowing us to keep tabs on budding famous BFFs -- it's how we first learned of Lady Gaga's and Lindsay Lohan's sleepover, then Joe Jonas and Nelly's blossoming bromance. Now, we discover a possible friendship between Ke$ha and Garbage's Shirley Manson!! There's just not enough glitter and cherry-red lipstick in the world
to properly celebrate this epic bond, guys.We know that just 'cause they took a photo together and tweeted it, that doesn't mean official they've achieved bestie status, but we still have SO much to speculate about what Ke$ha's been up to while recording her forthcoming album. While we may know about that one "Supernatural" teaser we got, and that she's worked with Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne, we still say that anything is possible! Plus, Ke$ha said she's "channeling the sexiness of rock" for her next record. Honestly, is there really anyone better than Shirley Manson to hang out with in hopes that some "super-sexy vixen/IDGAF rock star" vibes rub off on you?! (Hint: Your answer should be a big "Nope.")

Переслать - We're Freaking Out Over Nicki Minaj Judging On 'American Idol!'
We're really hoping it's true that Nicki Minaj is the new "American Idol" judge!
After the announcement that both Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler stepped down as "American Idol" judges, our finger nails have been nibbled down to nubs awaiting the announcement of who's taking over. We basically went HAM when we learned Mariah Carey signed on (!!!) but in between the like, gazillion rumored possibilities (Nick Jonas, Adam Lambert, Katy Perry to name a few), it FINALLY sounds we may actually have Nicki Minaj on board!
While it's not like official-official (there's been some pretty definite confirmations, so if it's not true, we'll pretty much be SADZ TO THE MAX) about the "Pound The Alarm" singer's addition, we're flipping our ish over the almost-for-sure possibility! Between Britney Spears and Demi Lovato pairing up on "X Factor" and a Carey/Minaj duo at "AI" this could be THE MOST EPIC season of women-dominating television ever created.
But the biggest question: what alter-ego would Nicki bring to the table? Her Harajuku Barbie persona would be awesome to watch for the fashion, but we're really gunning for her Roman Zolanksi side. Watching terrified contestants get tough love from Nicki's devil-inspired personality would make for great TV (and it would make Simon Cowell's criticisms look like thoughtful Hallmark cards).

Переслать - Go Behind The Scenes Of Justin Bieber's VIBE Photo Shoot (VIDEO)
Justin Bieber is swaggy in outerwear for his VIBE photoshoot.
Justin Bieber's up for two MTV VMA nominations but that doesn't mean he's resting on his laurels. Nope, bro has been on his grind doing interviews, looking dope, and wearing expensive outerwear for VIBE. Luckily for us, VIBE had the good sense to film Justin during his photo shoot (THANKS!), so we can watch the entire experience on repeat and totally pretend we were there primping his hair and making sure his outfits were lint-free. Because lint-rolling Justin Bieber would still literally be the highlight of our lives. But moving right along...

In the behind the scenes video, Justin holds flag and hops on top of a pyramid while wearing a plethora of slick coats. (Guys, it's STILL August! Why you gotta put him in such sweat-inducing outfits? cc: Lady Gaga.) Inside the issue, Justin speaks candidly about the discipline it takes to be a superstar 24/7. "You can't let it show... You have to be a professional
." Mission accomplished, JB! You look like a pro all the time. A swaggy professional, but a professional nonetheless. + Watch behind-the-scenes footage from Justin Bieber's VIBE photo shoot.

Переслать - Kelly Clarkson Covers Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe' (VIDEO)
Kelly Clarkson puts her spin on Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe."
Well, it happened guys. Just when we thought we were saved from yet another Carly Rae Jepsen "Call Me Maybe" cover (FYI we've already been treated to the original cover version, Katy Perry's cover, fun.'s take, the Team USA Olympic Swimmers' version, and 80 bajillion more on the internet), Kelly Clarkson goes ahead and does another one. But it's like, how can we even be mad, you know? It's KELLY. So yeah, get-out-of-jail-free card on that one but please, let this be the end!
Watch Kelly Clarkson cover Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" after the jump.
As you well know by now, while out on her "Stronger" tour, the Best Video With A Message VMA nominee has been taking cover song requests via Twitter. In recent weeks, Clarkson has covered Eminem's "Lose Yourself," put her own twist on Britney Spears' "Everytime," and slayed the game with her cover of No Doubt's "Don't Speak." Surprise surprise, Kelly's cover of Carly's smash is also just as bomb. To her audience at the MixTape Festival in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Kelly confesses that she actually mentored Carly Rae way back when during her Canadian Idol days, but finds the lyrics to her smash a tad confusing. Kelly jokes: "Who did you miss? Because you didn't know them. But I don't know. Maybe that's one of those love waits around the corner… I don't know." We have no clue either, Kel! Also, in non-Carly news, I'm wondering if Kel could hit up a Mariah cover next time? Maybe "Always Be My Baby?"

Переслать - Owl City, Trey Songz Release New Albums; 'Do Something Awards' Air Wednesday
Welcome to Buzzworthy's "The Week In Pop," where we round up new album releases, talk show musical guests and TV performances by your favorite pop stars and more (so you don't have to).
This week begins and ends with Adam Young (better known as Owl City), who releases The Midsummer Station on Tuesday; he and Carly Rae Jepsen stop by "Today" on Thursday and "VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live" on Friday. Tuesday also marks a couple reunions: The Darkness return with Hot Cakes, and Bloc Party end their hiatus with Four. Meanwhile, DJ Khaled and a bevy of stars populate his Kiss The Ring, and Trey Songz turns up the R&B for Chapter V. Also, Yeasayer stir up the dancefloor with the percolating, dark Fragrant World. On Wednesday, see which young world-changers win during VH1's "Do Something Awards." Presenters include Beyoncé and Ne-Yo, with performances by Flo Rida, fun. and Kids These Days. Finally, scream yourself into a frenzy and into the weekend on Friday when The Wanted hit "Good Morning America."
NEW ALBUM RELEASES
+ Owl City, The Midsummer Station: Adam Young, a.k.a. the guy behind the synth-pop of Owl City, took a different approach for his new effort. For the first time, he enlisted co-writers and co-producers for his new album. This helped him expand a bit on his sound, like on the anthemic "Shooting Star," while still maintaining his positive-vibed, sugared songwriting and lyrics. He also teamed up with Carly Rae Jepsen for the summery "Good Time," which has been certified gold, and for "Dementia," blink-182's Mark Hoppus adds some vocals to the more rocking tune.
+ Trey Songz, Chapter V: On his fifth album, the R&B crooner enlists some stars for songs, including T.I. ("2 Reasons"), Rick Ross ("Don't Be Scared"), Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy ("Hail Mary") and Meek Mill and Diddy ("Check Me Out"). However, the majority of the 18 tracks feature Songz front and center, such as on the woman's-body-as-swimming-pool saucy ballad "Dive In" and the emotive "Heart Attack." Related: does anyone else look at the album cover and feel the urge to shop at H&M?
+ Bloc Party, FOUR: The quartet took a hiatus in 2009 and pursued separate projects for the next four years. This is their first album since they reunited, and fourth overall. Though they spent years apart, here on FOUR, it seems like they hadn't lost a step at all. "V.A.L.I.S." seems to speak to this, ruminating on the past and future. "Octopus" encapsulates a similarly jittery, angular spirit they showcased on debut Silent Alarm, though with a poppier vibe. "3x3" sounds extra sinister thanks to Kele Okereke's vocal theatrics, and on "Coliseum," he adds a funky sway and romance that finds its way on to "Truth."
Check out more new album releases and upcoming TV appearances and performances after the jump.
+ DJ Khaled, Kiss The Ring: The Miami-dwelling DJ and producer is back for his sixth album and he brings his famous friends along again for the ride. Kanye West and Rick Ross are featured on "I Wish You Would" (check out the video hybrid of "I Wish You Would" and Kanye West's "Cold"), Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne populate "Take It To The Head" (the video also features Busta Rhymes and Birdman cameos), Scarface and Nas perform on "Hip-Hop," and J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T. and Kendrick Lamar take on "They Ready," to name just a few of the album collaborations.
+ Yeasayer, Fragrant World: On their third album, the band continues to expound on their skittery, sonic experimentations of world-hopping beats with organic and technologically-manipulated layers that are both complex and dance-inducing. R&B influences figure prominently here ("Longevity," "Blue Paper," "No Bones") meshed with dark, doomed themes and some minor-key melody swaths. It's foreboding, without sacrificing on hooks and fun.
+ The Darkness, Hot Cakes: The glam-metal revivalists lineup fractured in 2006, but last year they reformed with their original lineup. Their return was also buoyed when their signature song, "I Believe In A Thing Called Love," was featured in a Super Bowl ad. Fans of their bombastic rock may enjoy the straight-ahead rock of "Nothin's Gonna Stop Us," the sexed-up "Every Inch Of You," or the falsetto-rich "Concrete." But the most surprising track is their take on Radiohead's "Street Spirit (Fade Out)," which renders the affecting, dreamscape composition into an over-the-top full-throttled freakout of absurdly epic proportions.
