  • 5 Must-See Photos From The Backstreet Boys' Performance On 'Good Morning America' (PHOTOS)

The Backstreet Boys "Good Morning America" reunion shows that the guys haven't aged ONE BIT.

2012 has been, like, THE BEST YEAR for boy bands reunions! First, 98 Degrees melted our hearts on a recent "Today" show performance, and now Backstreet's back (ALRIGHT!) for a "Good Morning America" concert. And while our voices have gone completely hoarse from singing BSB's hits in the office (not to mention holding an impromptu *NSYNC vs. BSB tug-of-war), we still found time to gather a few of our favorite photos of the morning. How could we even possibly pick favorites, you ask!? So you don't have hyperventilate over having to!

Check out more photos of the Backstreet Boys' "Good Morning America" performance after the jump!

We can't stop drooling over Nick Carter holding a guitar. Remember that time he dated Paris Hilton?!

All five of The Backstreet Boys -- Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, Kevin Richardson, and Howie Dorough -- appeared on "Good Morning America" to celebrate the band's 20-year reunion (::hits head on desk::) with flawless performances of "I Want It That Way" and "Larger Than Life." The guys nailed both hits, but we wouldn't expect anything less (they've had a lot of practice since touring with New Kids On The Block this past summer).

AJ McLean got "Everybody" pumped. The man's STILL got it.

Not only did AJ drive the fans crazy with his stage presence (per usual), he also spilled the beans in an interview about THEIR NEW ALBUM. (!!!) Then he dropped the biggest nugget of news yet: the gents will host a Backstreet Boy cruise in Oct 2013! Wait, there's going to be a shirtless boy (um, man?) band AND umbrella drinks -- we can't even. AHOY!

In case you were wondering if Nick Carter was still a hunk -- he is.

OMG (!!!) the boys can still do the classic boy band pose.

  • Why The Veronicas' Dark Pop On 'Life On Mars' Is Set To Dominate

Hey, space travelers! (That works, right? Just bear with me here.) I'm Sam Lansky, and this is my column Pop Think, where we're getting intergalactic all up in this piece with anticipation of the Veronicas' upcoming record Life on Mars, which is one of my most-anticipated releases this year. Even though they've never been super successful in the United States, the Australian duo's last two albums have been some of my fave pop records ever — and "Lolita," the first single from their new LP, more than delivers on the exceptional promise they showed on their first two releases.

See, Lisa and Jessica have been away for a minute (they haven't released an album since 2007's Hook Me Up — that's five long years, folks), but it's looking like their time off was time well spent, as they've hooked up (see what I did there?) with some new collaborators like, oh, Billy freaking Corgan from The Smashing Pumpkins, as well as German songwriter and producer Toby Gad (he co-wrote Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry," among other hits). That first single is one of the best of the year, and given their superb track record, this album should be just as excellent.

SO PRETTY. The Veronicas prepare to take over with the release of "Life On Mars."

Considering the fact that the Veronicas have been in the pop game for well over a decade, I've never understood why they haven't gotten the Stateside attention they deserved. The girls' debut single, the Max Martin/Dr. Luke-produced pop-rock anthem "4Ever," is one of my Top 10 Songs Ever. (Yup, ever.) Their 2005 album The Secret Life Of... was a brilliantly precocious effort, crammed with sharp melodies and largely penned by the girls' themselves; their sophomore release, Hook Me Up, was even better. Lead single "Untouched" earned the girls their highest U.S. chart position to date at No. 17 on the Hot 100, and later the song went platinum. The Veronicas' sound has always been a little bit darker and edgier than many of their pop-chart contemporaries, but they have enjoyed moderate success in Australia with their lush, Ke$ha-penned midtempo track, "This Love."

Find out more about the Veronicas' new album and video after the jump.

After taking a lengthy hiatus to work on individual projects, the girls are finally back this year with their first single, "Lolita," a Toby Gad-produced stormer that evokes the chilly synths of Ellie Goulding's "Lights." In fact, just today the Veronicas dropped the track's brand-new video, which explores the predatory connotations of the title "Lolita." The girls grab their guns to fight a monster in some kind of dark pop militia, the end result being gruesome but definitely not without staying power.

Given the Veronicas' outstanding international career, my hope is that their upcoming album will have Stateside staying power, too. Life on Mars includes production from Nellee Hooper (best known for his work with No Doubt), and should continue in the vein of "Lolita" — that is, dark, melodically charged, and ingenious. If they keep this up, there's no reason why they shouldn't hit as well here as they do in their homeland — and that's something worth celebrating.

  • Kelly Clarkson NAILS Her Cover Of Florence + The Machine's 'Shake It Out' (VIDEO)

Kelly Clarkson totally dominates her cover of Florence & The Machine's "Shake It Out."

Don't get me wrong -- I am ALL about Kelly Clarkson's original material (um, hello, her song "Dark Side" is up for a "Best Video With A Message VMA!), but this cover of Florence + The Machine's "Shake It Out" is SO BOMB WE CAN'T EVEN TAKE IT. Maybe Kelly should think about putting out a covers record? Or performing at my wedding???

Watch Kelly Clarkson cover Florence & The Machine's "Shake It Out" after the jump.

While out on her "Stronger" tour, Kelly has been taking cover song requests via Twitter, cause really, who doesn't adore a well-done tribute? (Now that we think of it, wasn't that essentially what she did on American Idol? Cover songs? ::Puts two and two together::)

Clarkson was a true musical visionary when she covered  Eminem's "Lose Yourself," she was spot on for Britney Spears' "Everytime," made Gwen proud with her cover of No Doubt's "Don't Speak, THRILLED US to no end with her rendition of TLC's "No Scrubs (which could really be a sister song to "Since U Been Gone," amirite?)," and now, she's completely annihilated this version of Florence + The Machine's "Shake It Out." Before singing, Kelly confessed her fans: "If I screw this up, I'm sorry Florence and YouTube!" Apologies? Girl, you cray. Not only did you nail the vocals, but you paid your respects by sticking to the original melody. Class act all the way. Also, two words: COVER. ALBUM. Thanks.

  • New Song: Ludacris Featuring Kelly Rowland, 'Representing'

Ludacris and Kelly Rowland team for a sultry new jam,"Representing."

Kelly Rowland is everywhere these days! First she joins Sean Paul on "How Deep Is Your Love?," and now she's teaming up with Ludacris on the sultry hip-hop banger "Representing." Produced by Rico Love and Jim Jonsin, the jam is hot off the heels of Luda's ode-to-booties "Jingalin'" and will be the next single on his upcoming album Ludaversal.

Listen to Ludacris featuring Kelly Rowland, "Representing" after the jump.

True to form, Luda spits his signature rapid-fire flow as Kelly lends her soulful pipes to the hook. Judging by the lyrics, "Representing" sounds like a song about appreciating your significant other for their, ahem, bedtime skills: "But I'm the man for the job/Can't nobody do it quite like I do/And the same go for you/We a match made in heaven/I'ma stand right by you." Awww. Is it weird that even though both Kel and Luda are singing about X-rated activity skill sets, I still think it's kinda romantic?!

  • Jay-Z Puts A Pair Of Blue Headphones On Blue Ivy, And We Just Died Of Cute! (PHOTO)

"You gotta hear this one song, Blue Ivy. It'll change your life, I swear."

Blue Ivy has barely made it past eight months, and she's already hip-hop royalty (especially with mom Beyoncé looking like this and dad Jay-Z  looking like this). With parents like that, we were pretty sure Blue Ivy would turn out to be pretty spesh, but we just had no clue her genetic baller-ness would surface SO EARLY!

In addition to sporting some super chic Watch The Throne tour merch, Jay-Z has got Blue Ivy wearing a SICK pair of blue headphones. And these aren't the kind you get at the drugstore either -- these are giant, cool, "I-may-grow-up-to-be-a-DJ" headphones (hope Skrillex is taking notes). The dad-and-daughter pair were spotted arriving in New York via helicopter where Jay-Z put the headphones on Blue Ivy to protect her ears. Riiight, so it seems that perhaps the headphones were more to prevent cochlear damage, but the fact that they're there at all is completely melting our hearts.

  • New Video: Go Radio, 'Go To Hell'

    Go Radio

Go Radio get creative with a split-screen in "Go To Hell."

Leave it to Go Radio to combine a lyric video with a regular video in THE SAME VIDEO. ::Room spins:: (Dudes probably all drive Priuses, too.) In their video for "Go To Hell," the Florida-based band gets creative with split screen technology, as singer/guitarist Jason Lancaster acts broody in black and white while his far-off former lady love pens some underline-heavy lyrical diary entries. We'd probably bust out the Sharpie too if we were this pissed -- after all, the song's not called "Come Back, I Totally Miss You."

Watch Go Radio's "Go To Hell" video after the jump.

After making his way through the L.A. public-transit system (L.A. has a subway?! The more you know...), Lancaster finally arrives at his lady's front door for a kiss -- and instead receives a stack of instructions for where he can go next (hint: it's hell). Sorry, bro. At least you saved some gas money! And props to the video for putting a different spin on The Break-Up Song -- maybe for an encore this track and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" can go on the most awkward musical date, like, ever. "Go To Hell" lands with Go Radio's new album, Close the Distance, out Sept. 18 on Fearless Records.

  • New Song: Sky Ferreira, 'Everything Is Embarrassing'

Sky Ferreira's "Everything Is Embarrassing" makes heartbreak sound beautiful.

We HAD to take notice when Sky Ferreira released a brand-new tune "Everything is Embarrassing," because really -- what could Sky possibly have to be self-conscious about!? The ethereal electropop singer has done everything from star in a Terry Richardson-directed video with Garbage's Shirley Manson, and solidified her it-girl status by appearing with with Grimes and Charli XCX on the cover of V Magazine.

Listen to Sky Ferreira's "Everything Is Embarrassing" after the jump.

Opening with a set of quick, echoing drumbeats, "Everything Is Embarrassing" almost gets us thinking that we're listening to a peppy 80's-esque love song (think: Debbie Gibson). But just when you're feeling fooled (and ready to visit the mall), the song changes course with melodramatic piano notes and Ferreira's haunting vocals.

Much unlike "Red Lips," Ferreira has replaced her precocious synth-pop with a slow, vulnerable melody -- especially in the lyrics. When the chorus hits, we learn what Sky feels frustrated over -- it's a failing relationship: "Maybe if you let me be your lover/Maybe if you tried then I would not bother/Could have been my anything/Now everything's embarrassing."

Basically, Sky has taken one of the most relatable, heart-shattering moments in a relationship and turned in to a stunning song. After listening, we pretty much feel like slow-dancing with the person we LOVE but are inevitably about to break up with. IT HURTS SO GOOD!

Now that we've all shared in the heartbreak together, we can't wait to listen to the rest of Sky Ferreira's upcoming EP Ghost, dropping Oct. 2.

  • One Direction Go Into Detail About Their Favorite First-Time, Er, VMA Performances, And We Nearly Died (VIDEO)

One Direction spilled about their favorite first-time VMA performances on "One Direction: My First Time."

We're blushing bright red as we write this, but last night the boys of One Direction talked about their first time...PERFORMING AT THE 2012 MTV VMAS. What did you think we meant? ::Tugs nervously at collar:: Well, regardless of what the twice-nominated boys were ACTUALLY talking about, we couldn't help but notice how CUTE they looked in high-top sneakers and swoopy haircuts. (We were also secretly hoping for someone to bring out the hose so we could get another glimpse at Harry's new tattoo.)

Moving on: Cute, singing British boys with a deep appreciation for VMA history?? Be still, my heart.

Watch One Direction hosting One Direction: My First Time after the jump.

One Direction: My First Time had Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson chatting about some of the most legendary first performances in VMA history -- we're talking performances by Rihanna, Green Day, Kanye West, Beyoncé, and others. We LOVED re-living these moments with 1D, but CANNOT WAIT for when the 2012 VMAs air on Sept. 6 -- because that's when our boys will perform for, let's all say it together, THE FIRST TIME.

  • Star Spotting: Britney Spears Uses Her 'It's Britney!' App To Remind Us That She's BANGIN' In A Bikini (PHOTO)

    It's Britney! And her app!

If there's one app that is CRUCIAL for successful living, it's Britney Spears' "It's Britney!" app. Why, do you ask? Well aside from the obvious (the fact you are privy to personal snapshots of Britney looking riDONKulous in lime green bikinis), you quite literally get to keep Britney Spears in your pocket! You know, because she LIVES IN YOUR PHONE.

Aside from Britney's own pictures, the "It's Britney!" app features official news from Britney herself, a thrilling collection of photos from Britney's "Femme Fatale" tour, a well-stocked collection of vintage Britney photos, and perhaps the most important feature: you can SHAKE YOUR IPHONE to hear "It's Britney Bitch!" literally anytime you want. We CAN'T! Don't take this in the wrong, stalkery way, but I wonder if you could set all the "It's Britney!" app Britney photos to play on a slideshow, while shaking your phone to hear "It's Britney Bitch!," while watching "The X Factor" at the same time. Pretty much sounds like the best night ever.
