  • Star Spotting: Austin Mahone Gets Official Record Deal, Celebrates With His Twitter Family And IRL Family! (PHOTO)

Austin Mahone celebrates his NEW RECORD DEAL (!!!) with him mom and management team. Congrats, Austin!

We've been Austin Mahone fans (MAHONIES UNITE!) since his YouTube beginnings. And while some like to call the 16-year-old sensation "Baby Bieber," we like to call him AN OFFICIAL RECORDING ARTIST. It's true. Austin has recently signed with Chase/Universal Republic! See guys, that's what can happen when you brush shoulders with game-changers like Justin Bieber and The Wanted. Oh, and being talented like a boss doesn't hurt either.

We've been MAJORLY devoted to the "11:11" singer's Twitter for the last few months (um, us and over ONE MILLION other Twitter followers), keeping track all of Austin's adventures in stardom. We've seen him chase waterfalls, and promote pastries with Carly Rae Jepsen, but nothing makes us more proud than this photo of Austin with his mom (awww!) and his management team celebrating the big announcement with the caption: "The BIG NEWS is that I'm officially signed to a record label!!!(: Chase/Universal Republic!!" His exciting announcement has not only induced straight-up tears of joy on our end, but pretty much blew up Twitter with 5,200 retweets within an hour -- NO. BIG. DEAL. And to think that this is only the beginning of Austin's path to WORLD DOMINATION!!! We'll probably be working for him at this next time year.

  • New Video: OneRepublic, 'Feel Again'

Why so sad, guys? OneRepublic rock us gently in their new video, "Feel Again."

Last week we told you that pop rock superstars OneRepublic were back with an energetic (and LOUD) new single "Feel Again," which will also be the first track from their upcoming album. So we danced in the office to this song, we threw our arms in the air, we considered the car commercial possibilities, we imagined ourselves as Ryan Tedder's girlfriend... (ahem...um...what?) ::Looks around nervously::

Watch OneRepublic's "Feel Again" video after the jump.

Anyway. We basically lost our minds to "Feel Again," and now we're losing our minds again to OneRepublic's brand-new video. The video starts off with Ryan pocketing glowing orbs in what appears to be the hills overlooking Los Angeles, then continues to host a woodsy nighttime party with the rest of the band as they play unusual instruments (do we spy a banjo bass??). And dare we say it -- OneRepublic's dreamy venture into soulful arena rock sure does remind us a lot of Coldplay. Right? We're definitely getting a post-aughts "Clocks" vibe in "Feel Again." Maybe they could tour together as "ColdRepublic"?

  • New Song: All Time Low, 'For Baltimore'

All Time Low pen an ode to their hometown (and a girl back home) in "For Baltimore."

All Time Low is officially back, which means we're upgrading our fall forecast from "meh" to "F*** YES!" We already got a taste of the punk-pop outfit's upcoming fifth album Don't Panic with their first single "The Reckless And The Brave," and now they're out with the latest track, "For Baltimore." Welp, If Baltimore is where All Time Low hangs on the regular, maybe we should start packing our bags (but definitely avoiding any "The Wire" situations).

Listen to All Time Low's "For Baltimore" after the jump.

"For Baltimore" has all of the hook-heavy pop-punk bounce of a classic Jimmy Eat World or New Found Glory cut, and in it, All Time Low clearly would rather not let go of the Crab Cake Capital of the World and the girl they love so much. "I don't wanna say goodnight/The city comes alive when we're together/Why can't Thursday last forever?," Alex Gaskarth sings. Well, dude, to answer your question, it's because Thursday sucks! BECAUSE IT'S NOT FRIDAY! So, let's do it for FRIDAY and make the weekend last forever. Viva Charm City.

  • Rihanna Wears 'Hand-Rolled' Shirt To The Airport (PHOTO)

Rihanna rolls into the airport. Ha ha! Get it? "Rolled"?

We're fully in love with everything Rihanna wears, be it a sexy cat shirt or hardly anything at all. But we had to pause for the cause when, during our daily "What Is Rihanna Wearing" romp through the wires, we saw the 2012 MTV VMA-nominated singer rolling through Heathrow Airport wearing a shirt with a hand-rolled cigarette "of some sort" on it. We're not sure what's in that cigarette, and quite frankly, we don't want to know! Because smoking anything is bad for you! (She must not have gotten the memo about that, because after landing in London, she Instagrammed a photo of herself exhaling! Frowny face! Preserve your pipes, Princess Ri!) But you have to hand it to Rihanna -- if that is a joint, she's bringing new meaning to the term "mile-high" club and showing England how a real g does.

We'd like to take this moment to caution Rihanna to steer clear of the K-9 squad: those dogs typically have no sense of humor.

Can we also just say that we're reminded of the time VMA presenter Mac Miller told us about his "MOST DOPE" knuckle tat at the 2012 Woodie Awards. "Sucks at the airport," he bemoaned. Listen to the man, Rihanna! We don't want you being held up at the airport on your way to the VMAs!

  • New Video: Blood Red Shoes, 'In Time To Voices'

You can't take these guys anywhere without someone getting a nose bleed.

We've been hitting the gym pretty hard lately in an attempt to keep up with Usher, so we were pretty stoked to see Blood Red Shoes taking on a bodybuilder in their new video for "In Time to Voices." The U.K. duo definitely get an "A" for authenticity, as they called up their extremely fit pal Craig Lee for a vicious arm wrestling match with singer Laura-Mary Carter. And she does more than hold her own -- let's just say the challenge gives new meaning to the band's footwear-themed moniker. Wonder how she feels about tanning and laundry?

Watch Blood Red Shoes' "In Time To Voices" video after the jump.

Kicking a weightlifter's butt with high heels is pretty punk rock, but the track has a dreamy, dramatic, '90s alt-rock vibe that reminds us more of groups like Garbage, The Kills and 2:54. It's the band's third single from this year's In Time To Voices and first ever to feature a guitar solo. The duo, which also includes drummer Steven Ansell, has been around for a minute, releasing debut set Box Of Secrets in 2008 and sophomore album Fire Like This in 2010 before scoring a spot on the Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World soundtrack. Fresh off main stage dates at the Reading and Leeds festivals, the group's upcoming North American tour kicks off in September at New York's Mercury Lounge. Don't wear flats.

  • will.i.am Premieres His Song 'Reach For The Stars' ON PLANET MARS. The Game Has Been CHANGED

will.i.am before the launch of his interplanetary hit "Reach For The Stars (Mars Edition)."

There are few barriers that will.i.am can't break. Constant #1 songs and albums: easy. Appear as a hologram before 2Pac did: check. And now he's going where literally no Earth-born artist has before by premiering a new song "Reach For The Stars"...wait for it...on MARS. Literally and legitimately. NASA beamed the song back to Earth via the Curiosity rover, which is currently cold chillin' on Mars.

Seriously, dude GOES IN with the mind-blowing ideas. Who needs to premiere a song online (ahem!?) or on the radio when you premiere it on another planet. (Kinda brings new meaning to "world premiere," too, doesn't it?) Premiering a song on another planet feels like a very Kanye move, because that's a guy who goes big on the regular. (Making an entire mini movie instead of a music video, upgrading Kim Kardashian's ENTIRE wardrobe, destroying a Maybach just for kicks -- you know. Big moves.) Maybe will.i.am has entered into a (space?) race with Kanye West to see who can out-ridiculous the other? We'll just be over here with some popcorn if you need us.

Listen to will.i.am's "Reach For The Stars (Mars Edition)" after the jump.

will's new song got us thinking -- if you created a song to broadcast to other planets, what would it sound like? In will.i.am's case, the result is pretty EPIC. The interplanetary jam features orchestras, chanting, and Auto-Tune mixed in with electro-pop. It kinda sounds like what we think space sounds like (if, well, you could hear anything in space ::womp womp::).

will.i.am does seem aware that sound exists on Mars and serenades the planet with some impassioned lyrics: "Why they say the sky is the limit / When I've seen the footprints on the moon?" Good point, will. Maybe your words will bring undiscovered Martian lifeforms out from hiding (cue David Bowie's "Life On Mars"). Better watch out, Yeezy. will's set the bar pretty high... beyond the ozone, in fact.

  • The Buzz On: Jessie Ware

We're hopelessly devoted to soulful British singer Jessie Ware.

We've been dancing to Jessie Ware ever since the London singer lent her pipes to SBTRKT's excellent electro debut, and now she's inviting EVERYONE to join the party. Not only has the soulful chanteuse has toured the world with U.K. producer and singer Jack Peñate, but she's about to release her solo major-label debut, Devotion.

So far Devotion has garnered plenty of U.K. love: the album charted in the Top 5 and earned raves from everyone from the Guardian to the NME, who dubbed "110%" "simple pop beauty" and then compared her to (deep breath!) Sade, Little Dragon, and Robyn. We can see how Sade's smoove soul is a definite influence on laid-back jams like "No To Love," but we're also sensing a Radiohead-like tension bleeping and blooping beneath the beat.

Listen to Jessie Ware after the jump.

The electronic-driven Ware's not just a product of the past: she's so future-cool, even her style swagger jacks the Jetsons. (Peep her album cover UFO-bun hairdo!) But Ware's human after all: "Runnin' away, are you running to me?" she sings on "Devotion." She ceases her yearning on "Night Light," a confident, guitar-flecked track that embraces a "shadow man." Most of Jessie's tracks settle into a sexy jog, energetic enough to make out to but could also be custom-paced for late-night karaoke sessions. Someday, ScarJo's going to sing karaoke to "Running" in our imagined sequel to "Lost In Translation," and we're going. To. Die. Unless Devotion kills us first.

  • Sneak Peek: Taylor Swift Parties On In Her 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' Video!

We're penly weeping over this sneak peek of Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" video!

We still can't believe this (no, I mean really, we are in FULL SWOON MODE here), but we just got our hands on a NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN clip from Taylor Swift's upcoming video for her unofficial break-up anthem, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." And it's not even the 13th!

If you were following along with us yesterday, you'd already be fully aware that the 2012 MTV VMA performer will premiere "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" on "MTV First: Taylor Swift" on Thurs., Aug. 30 at 7:49 p.m., but you can watch a sneak peek of the video below. (or if you like, watch the lyric video!).

+ Watch a sneak peek of Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" video after the jump.

In the preview, we see Taylor looking cute (duuuuuhhhhh) in a flowery dress, Taylor-y bangs, and bright red lipstick (erm, Urban Outfitters, are you guys taking notes?) as she bounces, dances, and sings into the camera with an entourage of party-goers. We're also verrrry curious to see if Taylor includes some Joe Jonas or Taylor Lautner lookalike in the Declan Whitebloom-directed video, perhaps to "accidentally" spill a drink on at that party? We just want to know who the song is about! I mean, can you blame us?! The last time we saw a chick looking so happy over a breakup was in Kelly Clarkson's classic "Since U Been Gone." WE DEMAND ANSWERS!

Need some more deets? Tune in to "MTV First: Taylor Swift" tomorrow night; the VMA-nominated pop star will hang out for an interview with Sway Calloway on MTV.com, where she'll chat about her album Red and upcoming VMA performance. And just so you know, we have NEVER EVER been more ready for anything in our lives. Never EVER.

  • New Song: Kinetics & One Love Featuring Yung Joey, 'In My Own World'

Meet Kinetics & One Love: They're the dudes who penned the chorus to B.o.B.'s "Airplanes." No biggie.

Meet Kinetics & One Love: Not only are they two cool bros from NYC, but they're also Grammy-nominated songwriters who just so happened to ped the chorus for B.o.B.'s multi-platinum hit "Airplanes." WE ARE NOT IMPRESSED. Except we really are impressed.

Listen to Kinetics & One Love's "In My Own World" after the jump.

Jeremy "Kinetics" Dussolliet and Tim "One Love" Sommers have been making music together since 2007 (they released The Kinetics EP in 2008), but it's the arrival of their digital sophomore album You Are Not Alone, out now, that's got everyone nodding along. The album's first single, the Yung Joey-assisted "In My Own World," is a laid-back, hazy hip-hop jam firmly rooted in trippy R&B. The track's spacey, sparse production reminds us tad of Drake, but it's Yung Joey's hard-hitting verse that gives the track the grit it needs. Get on this.
