- Emma Roberts Excited To Work With Jennifer Aniston On New Movie
by Meg Malone
As big-time "Friends" fans, getting to meet anyone in the cast would be a pretty awesome opportunity. Emma Roberts actually gets the chance to work with a favorite "Friend" in a new movie and turned to Twitter to share her excitement.
SO happy to be a part of We're The Millers!! Dream come true to work with Jennifer Aniston!
— Emma Roberts (@RobertsEmma) July 17, 2012
Lucky! But what exactly is "We're The Millers" about?
According to Deadline, Emma will play a young woman named Julia who agrees to pose as Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis' daughter and joins them on a road trip. However, Jennifer and Jason aren't just pretending to have a daughter—they're faking their marriage too.
Collider elaborates on the comedy's plot: It turns out Jennifer is a prostitute, Jason is a marijuana dealer and the "family" is actually using this road trip to transport pot.
In any case, congrats to Emma, and with such a talented cast, we look forward to seeing how this complex faux-family dynamic plays out on the big screen!

Переслать - Mae Whitman Talks 'Beautiful' Character Arc In 'Perks Of Being A Wallflower'
by Meg Malone
Mae Whitman has played some notable girlfriends in the past, including Ann Veal on "Arrested Development" and Roxy Richter in "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World." In her upcoming movie, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," she'll play Mary Elizabeth, who is the first girlfriend for main character, Charlie (Logan Lerman). Mae recently talked to MTV News about her character's personality and the kind of personal journey that Mary Elizabeth takes over the course of the film.
"Mary Elizabeth was my favorite character just because of really the arc that she has," Mae said. "It's so important and beautiful. It's funny because she starts out so confident. I mean, she's just the most opinionated girl in the world and everything she says goes."
Mae hints though that in the movie, her character will need to learn how to adapt, and this re-evaluation eventually helps her grow.
"She has a golden heart, but she sort of goes through this change where for the first time she can't just control the situation because someone else is involved and she really has to sort of learn to operate with someone else, with Charlie," Mae said. "But I think ultimately in the end she comes out even stronger in a real way than she was before, so I think it's really special."
Mae also had tons of nice things to say about her cast mates in the movie, giving individual words of praise to some of her co-stars including Ezra Miller and Emma Watson, but she also commented on her experience working with the whole cast.
"We all became really close and we spent a lot of late nights and early mornings together," Mae said. "Just really getting to know each other."
"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" will hit theaters on September 14, and Mae said she hopes the film will be "really inspirational." If the final product is anything like the trailer (which still gives me goosebumps!), it definitely seems like Mae's hope will come true.

Переслать - 'Catching Fire' Casting: Sam Claflin Eyed For Finnick?
District 4 tribute Finnick Odair is considered the fairest of them all in Suzanne Collins' dystopian universe, so it stands to reason, I suppose, that a one-time fairytale prince would be in the running to portray the comely contender in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire." Yet, our calls to Greasy Sae's Psychic Hotline never predicted this.
Zap2It is reporting that Brit actor Sam Claflin, who most recently starred in "Snow White and the Huntsman" alongside Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth (brother of "THG" star Liam, obvs), has been offered the highly coveted role.
Of course, nothing is official until the fat Lion at the Gate sings, but this would be an intriguing pick for the bronzed babe, considering Sam doesn't exactly look like the sort that spends much time at the beach. But, you know, hair dye and self-tanner can take care of that.
If you've been following the casting process closely, you know speculation has run rampant for months (if not years) as to which hot Hollywood actor would portray the beloved character, with everyone from Garrett Hedlund to Armie Hammer rumored to be in the running. And with filming slated to begin this fall, director Francis Lawrence is no doubt in the throes of filling out the large ensemble cast. Just today, the series' snared its Wiress in actress Amanda Plummer and earlier this month, Philip Seymour Hoffman was announced as Gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee.
Stick close to Hollywood Crush for confirmation and all the casting scoops straight from the "Catching Fire" set.

Переслать - Joseph Gordon-Levitt Suits Up For GQ
You might just want to pick up a copy of the latest issue of GQ before they all disappear...and take "The Dark Knight Rises" star Joseph Gordon-Levitt's torso in a perfectly tailored dress shirt and waistcoat with them. The actor is on the cover this month, and looking extremely delicious in the magazine's fall fashion preview. I mean, dude looks so good in a three-piece suit that we almost don't want him to take it off...ALMOST.
And in a charming, down-to-earth interview, Joe (that's the nickname he likes, by the way—did you know? We didn't!) takes GQ's reporter on a tour through the L.A. of his youth, both literally and anecdotally.
Their first stop? The actor's high school, where he sheepishly admitted that he didn't attend his prom, partly because his early career on "3rd Rock from the Sun" left him with a bit of an oversized ego.
"I was a sort of serious little dude—snobby," he said. "I thought girls my age were very frustrating. They were, like, looking in their compact mirrors and sh--, and I thought that was evil."
Not that Joseph (sorry, Joe) doesn't still enjoy a little intellectual snobbery now and again; later in the interview, he complained about the entire concept of fame:
"I really don't like this notion that some people are more important than other people," he said. "These stories about these elevated people called 'celebrities' teaches you that what you have to say doesn't matter. It's degrading."
...Which is, perhaps, a slightly paradoxical complaint to make in your own celebrity profile. But enough of this idle chitchat: Did we mention the three-piece suits? Because there are three-piece suits. Yeah. YEAH. You really need to see this.

Переслать - POLL: Which Catwoman Costume Does Our Favorite Heroine Justice?
There are only a few short days left before "The Dark Knight Rises" finds its way to a theater near you... But before we collapse into a heaving, quivering mass of fangirl jelly at the thrill of finally seeing Gotham and its vigilante superstar back in their IMAX glory—OMG THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO BE SO EPIC AAAAGH—let's talk about something else we're super-psyched to see that's at last getting some screen time in Christopher Nolan's amazing Batman story: Catwoman, and, of course, her cat suit.
The crazy cat lady who our batty superhero loves to hate (and hates to looooove!) has seen her way on screen in six different iterations, from Eartha Kitt's dulcet-voiced feline in the 1966 TV series to Halle Berry's bondage-chic anti-heroine in the 2004 "Catwoman" feature film. And with Anne Hathaway about to make her debut in the catty "Dark Knight Rises" getup, it's time to turn a critical eye toward the style sensibilities of these very different Catwomen, from the vintage vixens to the modern action stars. So, take a look at our gallery and then tell us: Whose costume makes you purr?

Though there's still no confirmation on those Jenna-Malone-as-Johanna-Mason rumors, Lionsgate has officially reaped its first new tribute for the Quarter Quell. The studio announced today that Amanda Plummer will play District 3 contender Wiress in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," which is slated for a November 22, 2013, release.
Wiress (otherwise known as "Nuts") plays an integral role in the events of Suzanne Collins' sequel. She's a rather quiet and uncommunicative eccentric, but is said to have an incredible intellect. In fact, it's Wiress who uncovers several key weaknesses in the infrastructure of the Games arena, alerting Katniss with an unusual "tick tock" refrain. (Readers will know exactly what I'm talking about here...)
Amanda is the second new cast member to join "Catching Fire" following Philip Seymour Hoffman's casting as Plutarch Heavensbee earlier this month. The Tony- and Emmy-winner (and daughter of legendary Christopher Plummer) has a vast résumé. In addition to Broadway and small-screen roles, the actress has appeared in a number of films, including "Pulp Fiction" and "The Fisher King."

Переслать - Zoe Kazan Meets The Family In EXCLUSIVE 'Ruby Sparks' Clip
If you've been wondering as to the whereabouts of Paul Dano (that actor whose sweet face is almost always hidden behind his incredible talent for playing hideously unappealing characters) since his role in "Cowboys and Aliens," look no further than right here, y'all. Paul is back and playing what almost kinda looks like a romantic lead in this clip from "Ruby Sparks," which it is our privilege to show you! Exclusively! On the internet!
The quirky mom, the hot Latin step-dad (delayed reaction: WHOA! THAT'S ANTONIO BANDERAS!), the stilted sibling convo, and the cringing, neurotic Calvin (Paul) complaining about his dog's sensitive stomach; it all looks like a straightforward scene from your average dramedy. Only there's a twist to "Ruby Sparks": Ruby (Paul's real-life girlfriend Zoe Kazan) isn't real.
Or is she?
"Ruby Sparks" follows the story of Calvin, a struggling novelist who desperately wants to be loved—and who uses the only tool at his disposal, his writing, to create a character who inspires him, who gets him, and who would be perfect for him if only she were real. And before he knows it, she is.
Between its great cast and its interesting concept—almost like a magic literary take on "Lars and the Real Girl"—"Ruby Sparks" is definitely one to watch.
The film, written by Zoe, hits theaters in limited release on July 25.
(P.S. If you live in the L.A. area, don't miss the "Sparks at the Park" event, which includes a screening of Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris' other film "Little Miss Sunshine," a sneak peek of "Ruby Sparks" and a Q&A with Zoe and the directors. Get all the info here!)

Переслать - Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard Light Up 'Dark Knight Rises' Premiere
Holy hotness, Batman! Gotham greeted the caped crusader's return in a big way last night with the star-studded premiere of "The Dark Knight Rises" at New York City's AMC Lincoln Square. And the film's stars returned the favor, looking all kinds of sophisticated in their finely tailored suits and feminine frocks while walking the black carpet.
In a nice twist, leading ladies Anne Hathaway and Marion Cotillard eschewed the expected midnight hue in favor of bright whites. Anne went long and flowy in her Prabal Gurung Resort 2013 gown while Marion was all short and sweet in a Christian Dior Couture tutu-like confection.
And let's not forget the men of "Dark Knight Rises," who all looked like they'd stepped out of the pages of GQ in their slick, slick suits (we're looking at you in particular, Joseph Gordon-Levitt!).
MTV News' own Kevin P. Sullivan was on the carpet last night, where he asked each of the stars to spill their favorite scene. Be sure to watch the video below!
"The Dark Knight Rises" hits theaters Friday.

Переслать - 'Glee' Stars Talk Series' New Direction
With New Directions stars Rachel, Finn and Kurt gradated and headed into the real world, it's time for incoming seniors Artie, Tina and Blaine to truly take center stage. Or so they hope. "We're seniors now, "Glee" star Kevin McHale enthused during MTV News' Comic-Con live stream. "We rule the school... Hopefully."
Kevin, along with co-stars Jenna Ushkowitz and Darren Criss, sat down with our own Josh Horowitz to jabber a bit about their musical series' upcoming fourth season, which finds some characters headed to New York and some staying put in Lima, Ohio. But what exactly will this brave new world look like?
"It's definitely a new structure in a way, but it's still the same old 'Glee' because you still have the choir room," Kevin said. "It's just in addition you're going to have all the kids who graduated and you're going to see New York a lot and all that going on."
Pressed whether each episode will focus on a different locale or switch back and forth, Kevin confirmed that to his understanding, every episode "will have everything."
In addition to new settings, "Glee" will welcome a few fresh faces when the series returns September 13. Blond beauties Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson will have cameo roles as Kurt's and Rachel's mentors.
