An outpouring of sympathy has flooded Twitter in the hours following a shooting at a midnight showing of "The Dark Knight Rises" in Aurora, Colorado, which killed 12 and wounded at least 50 others. But social media isn't the only means through which to support the victims of the grisly attack.

FROM MTV NEWS A midnight screening of "The Dark Knight Rises" in Aurora, Colorado erupted in chaos on Friday (July 20) morning around 12:30 a.m. when a gunman entered the theater and opened fire, killing 12 and wounding more than 50.
At press time police believe the unidentified 24-year-old gunman acted alone. Witnesses described him kicking open the back door of the Century Aurora 16 theater and opening fire with four weapons, one AK-47-style assault rifle, a shotgun and two handguns. Wearing a bulletproof vest and goggles, he stood at the front of the theater and appeared to be shooting at victims randomly while confusing them with a tear gas-like device.
