It's pretty safe to say Austin Mahone has made it in life. Not only has the bro DOMINATED YouTube and become BFFs with the likes of The Wanted and Justin Bieber, but he's also got to hang with Carly Rae Jepsen and Boys Like Girls AT AN EFFING POP-TARTS PARTY! Now that's a breakfast of champions.
The up-and-coming heartthrob was snapped hanging with the famous "Call Me Maybe" singer and the dudes of Boys Like Girls while showing off the delicious breakfast pastry. But we're wondering: 1) how can we score an invite to an event stocked with tons of free Pop-Tarts and 2) Could there have been a discussion about a possible Austin/Carly/Boys Like Girls collabo in the works?! We're getting a sugary buzz just thinking about the possibility! 'Cause really, what else would the gang be talking about -- their favorite Pop-Tarts flavors? PAH-LEASE everyone knows that S'mores is the best -- end of discussion.

Sweet Valley is a band of brotherly love.
If you've been riding the Wavves since day one, you know garage-rock frontman Nathan Williams always brings the fuzz. The L.A. indie troublemaker and Best Coast main squeeze's new side project does that and more, expanding his template from fist-pumping amp destruction to electronic-influenced experimental weirdness. The syrup-soaked new band Sweet Valley is a collaboration with his brother Kynan, but the duo probably won't be playing lead single "Total Carnage" at the next family reunion.
The offbeat track opens with a vintage rock sample chopped and screwed into A$AP Rocky territory, before bouncing into an almost-danceable instrumental that's equal parts melodic bits, along with stretched-out textures and gritty percussion. "I wanted to make a soundtrack to getting drunk this summer, and this is what I thought it should sound like," Williams told Spin. While "Total Carnage" itself won't get rowdy and throw up all over your mom's new couch, it should keep things interesting at your next pool party.
The brother band's debut album, Stay Calm, is due Aug. 7 on Fool's Gold.

The Spice Girls honor their native country by performing at the London 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony!
OK, so, when we found out that one of the biggest, greatest, best pop groups of all time, the Spice Girls, were (kinda) reuniting last month for their "Viva Forever" musical, we hardly kept it together. JUST TRYING TO KEEP OUR COMPOSURE PEOPLE. But now that it's confirmed that the "Girl Power" squad is actually getting back together to perform for millions across the globe, we are seriously going to explode with joy. Stand back guys!

Here is what we know so far. The girls are slated to perform two songs at the already loaded London 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony, which includes The Who, George Michael and Jessie J to name a few. So far, the Olympics are the only stop for the British supergroup, but we are SERIOUSLY keeping our fingers crossed that the girls decide to go on a worldwide tour. And we can go to every stop in the U.S., and maybe become their besties, developing a true friendship over our precious shared moments on the road. (OK, too much. Dialing it back.) Needless to say, we're so ready for this!

Jared Leto studies dry erase boards in recording studio while looking like a model (obvs).
It's not news that Jared Leto's consistently fearless and drop-dead gorgeous in his numerous photo sessions (ask his photog BFF, Terry Richardson). But snapping a pic of most people at their workplace would capture them looking like scenes from "Office Space" IRL. Jared's candid shot, however, looks like it was taken for an effing fashion editorial. Annnd the award for most photogenic human to ever exist goes to... Jared Leto (again)!!
30 Seconds To Mars shared the photo of their lead singer sexily smoldering by (or studying -- same diff in Jared's case) dry erase boards on the band's Twitter along with the caption, "Jared Leto in the lab." And while we're pretty sure "the lab" means a recording studio where the band is currently recording their fourth album, we'd prefer to imagine it being a giant room lined with gazillions of mirrors and cameras uncontrollably going off where Jared has a safe place to practice all his FEROSH poses.

OHMAHGAH you guys, Hunky Funky Christmas has come EARLY this year. After finishing an epic two-year reunion tour, New Kids On The Block's Donnie Wahlberg tweeted a shirtless photo of all five boys/men, looking directly into the camera and sporting some pretty epic mustache game. In the accompanying tweet, Wahlberg added, "After 3 months cultivating, countless insults, thousands of requests to shave the #stache." We have to admit it: Despite NKOTB not making our ironclad short list of acceptable wearers of mustaches, we think they're KIND of pulling it off. And in every no way does it have to do with the fact that four-fifths of them are not wearing clothes.
Our inner preteen is level 10 freaking out that a) this happened and b) it's our job to cover it right now. Let's discuss each dude's shirtless 'stached style the best way we know how: "Step By Step." Dear Joey McIntyre, the world over has been dying for THIS view since 1988, thank you. Jonathan Knight is evidently preparing for his next Rolling Stone cover in a white tee, Jordan Knight's simultaneously rocking a faux-hawk and some "Miami Vice"-style chest hair, and the arm-tatted Donnie Wahlberg, who we're guessing is the ringleader of this 2012 'stache tour, looks satisfied in the center. Perhaps it was inspired by his close proximity to his mustache mentor and fellow "Blue Bloods" star Tom Selleck. Finally, Danny Wood channels "The Thinker," rocking the most robust 'stache of the quintet in the corner.
Looking good, guys. Just one question: WHERE was this photo taken? A bathroom? And who TOOK it? Though, sadly we must report, the mustaches were shaved. #allgoodthingsmustcometoanend

Meet SHEL. Yes, they're sisters!
Ever wonder what would happen if you took the Dixie Chicks' tight harmonies and then added them to the country cuteness of Taylor Swift times four? Well, we've totally wondered that exact same thing and can now confirm that the answer is SHEL! Meet Sarah, Hannah, Eva and Liza Holbrook, otherwise known as the four musically inclined sisters of the band SHEL. All homeschooled, all four ladies are classically trained musicians who combined their years of preparation to form a pretty sick band. Oh, and did we mention that the name SHEL is an acronym for, you guessed it, the sister's first names. Now how cute is that?

Created, edited and directed by SHEL's Sarah Holbrook, the "Freckles" video is basically the tale of a little girl who waits to meet her Prince Charming. She pulls petals off of flowers in the "he loves me, he loves me not" style and waits for him to join her for a lovely tea party in the woods. Sadly, the boy never comes. However, in the end, the little girl is joined by her mother who makes it all better. SHEL member Eva Holbrook explains: "Happy endings are rarely how we imagine them. Probably because we always know what we want, but seldom know what we really need." Well said, especially since it was just this week that I decided I wanted a boyfriend, but I realized I actually needed to go to the gym first.

Remember how we got totally emotional for Lana Del Rey's Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis moment in "National Anthem?" Well, now we're getting even MORE teary-eyed over her tragic "Summertime Sadness" video. Yo, Lana, it'd be cool if you could stop making our mascara run. Even for like, 5 seconds.

Directed by Kyle Newman, the clip was shot using a retro, blown-out camera filter, and features cut-up footage of Lana and her onscreen lover, Jamie King, laughing and smiling together in the beautiful summer weather. Eventually, however, things turn sour and after a teary-eyed fight in a car and some incredibly despondent faces, Lana jumps off a cliff and plunges to her demise. (Sorry for the spoiler, but we had to.) Later, we learn that Jamie has done the exact same thing. It's debatable whether or not the two reunite in a bizarre afterlife filled with coral-colored smoke, but it seems unlikely, as the clip closes with an image of Lana and her ghost walking alone down an empty road. Sad, sad times, y'all. But then again what else did you expect from a Lana video? Sunshine, glitter and ice cream cones? Probably not.

Avion Roe: amazing hair, AMAZING music.
It goes without saying that bands with tons of studio albums under their belt would do almost anything to get on the Warped Tour. But Dallas alt-rock foursome Avion Roe has only one album, The Art Of Fiction, yet they snagged a spot at the coveted gig. Deal with it, haters.

So, this is Avion Roe. They seem as if blink-182, Fall Out Boy (RIP!) and Foo Fighters had four baby boys (suspend your disbelief), all grew up to have impeccable hair and all started a band. The boys' debut disc, The Art Of Fiction, has already won the band legions of fans due to songs like "Who I Am," which solidifies their rock status, while lead vocalist Evan Couture's vocal range and the band's penchant for emo reflection -- it's OK to be emo, everyone! -- make them the kind of band dudes you could probably introduce to your dad. And did we mention that Avion Roe's songs have already appeared on "Jersey Shore" and "Friendzone"? And, also, is it cool to bring up their hair again? Hot Chelle Rae are totally thrilled to be at the top of the Empire State Building.
We talk about this a lot, but nothing delights us more than the fact that famous people like to take cheesy tourist photos too! It reminds us they're actually human and may want to do dorky things like scrapbook special travel moments. (Or maybe that's just me?) Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber recently fell prey to the cheesy tourist photo trap and yesterday, hunky pop/rockers Hot Chelle Rae did as well.
HCR were snapped posing at the top of The Empire State Building, otherwise known as one of New York City's most touristy landmarks! The dudes had big ol' grins on their faces and seemed totally thrilled to be at the tippy top of The Big Apple. While everything about this photo looks pretty run-of-the-mill, we are wondering about one thing: Where the hell are the other tourists? Oh riiiight, the dudes of Hot Chelle Rae are mad famous and probably rented out the entire site just so nobody would obstruct their view. Now we get it -- the above image is actually nothing like a regular tourist photo. Cool. Way to make us feel inferior, guys.
