- Justin Bieber Wears A Bandanna, May Be Referencing Bruce Springsteen, 'The Karate Kid,' Or Tupac (PHOTO)
Bandanna'ed Justin Bieber does his best Bruce Springsteen/ "Karate Kid" impression.We've pretty much always said that no matter what Justin Bieber does we will love him unconditionally. We stood by him during his Money Pants phase, and we were steadfast Beliebers during the Tie-Dye Shirt Debacle of 2012. We even embraced the sparkly skull surgical mask thingy. However, there are SO many things to deal with when considering Justin Bieber's multifaceted "The Karate Kid"/Bruce Springsteen/Tupac bandanna moment.
As a way of saying "konichiwa, bishes" when he arrived in Japan, Justin decided to wear a blue bandanna around his head. And yes, we agree that Justin Bieber is basically the king of the universe right now and forever, and this certainly entitles him to wear anything (except for tie-dye). But he was traveling with his ladypanion Selena Gomez, and there's no way in hell any real-life chick would be down with that look. She was probably all "Baby, you look amaaaaazing (eyeroll)," when in truth she wanted to be like "NAGL, son."
There are just so many things referenced in Bieber's blue bandanna, and none of them answer the question of "why." I'm drowning in a semiotic sea of "Glory Days" and Kobra Kai references and need help finding my way back to shore. RIP, Tupac.

Willie Taylor would like you to follow him on Instagram.Instagram is an excellent time-waster -- truly, I love seeing what friends I don't talk to enough because we only communicate via Facebook and Gchat made for dinner. And I LOVE a photo of someone's dog sleeping in a t-shirt and headset somewhere in Turkey. But what I didn't realize Instagram was sorely lacking was a booty song written in its honor by a former member of Day26.
Willie Taylor, again, known for his work in Day26 and for such songs as "Sex Conversation" (spoiler: it's about sex) and his Sextape mixtape (self-explanatory), just dropped a song called "Instagram Ya Body," and it features both Jeremih, the requisite choral chants of "ay," and lyrics like "Lemme Instagram that body/ Lay your booty on down in this bed," "You look so good I put a heart on your pic," and "Shorty Imma take a flick." (I recommend doing none of these things IRL, FYI.)
Somewhere R. Kelly is raising two remorseful fists at the sky, yelling "WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS FIRST?," and burning copies of "The Notebook," while Brian McKnight does the sinister rubbing-hands-together-and-cackling thing before pounding out a song at least eight times nastier.

According to TMZ (always reliable... LOL!), Miley was on hand to celebrate famed drag queen Vicky Vox's birthday, and as a tribute to her pal, she grabbed the mic to sing "Happy Birthday." Of course, Miley customized the tune for the birthday girl, cooing "Happy birthday to Vicky Vox, with those big ole big t—-es … happy birthday, Vicky Vox." Chilling with a penis cake and serenading drag queens? WERQUE!

You'd think after touring around the world, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber would be totally immune to cheesy tourist shots, but nope! They still love 'em. Selena and JB are currently in Japan (Justin is touring there), and upon their arrival, they decided to commission this classically touristy shot of them chucking their deuces up in front of a graffiti-covered wall. Along the with the photo, Sel tweeted: "Hi Japan. I heart you." (We'd heart you too if we were traveling first class, but whatever.)
Sure, this photo is cute and we toootally appreciate this young couple's desire to keep things PG for the kiddies, but don't you think Justin coulda at least dipped the girl and/or given her a romcom-style kiss? A peck on the cheek? Something? Anything! Gotta give

+ Frank Ocean dropped his Channel Orange album digitally one week early late last night, via iTunes. He announced the early release on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," where he performed "Bad Religion," but after the show's earlier taping, fans spilled the beans via Twitter. (MTV Hive)
+ Dennis Flemion of the band The Frogs has been missing since Saturday and is presumed dead. He reportedly was last seen swimming in a Wisconsin lake. He was once a touring member of The Smashing Pumpkins, and the group was also featured on a Pearl Jam B-Side. (Pitchfork)

Here are two guesses as to what could be going on in this photo of Lady Gaga arriving at LAX:
1.) She had to sit next to a screaming baby for like, a 15-hour flight (been there).
2.) She's losing her ish because the airline lost her luggage.
Both guesses would kinda explain the double middle-finger salute. The lack of pants can be explained as Gaga 101. That's just basic Gaga.

The "Marry The Night" singer was snapped returning from her Australian tour seemingly ready to use her favorite American right -- freedom of speech, obviously. Judging by the devil-may-care gesture, we're thinking the whole lack of maturity and responsibility Gaga says she's bringing to her next album is no joke. (We're also guessing that Mother Monster was definitely not listening to "Party In The U.S.A." as she hopped off the plane at LAX.) And we're not judging! We've had our fair share of bad flights and wish we had the guts to walk off a plane sans culottes. At least Gaga's attempting to make airport security a bit easier on her self -- going shirtless and now sporting VERY see-through leggings just makes the whole pat-down thing a lot easier.

Watch JJAMZ get scary in their 'Heartbeat' video.
With a name like JJAMZ, you know dudes (and dudette!) are going to deliver the, well, jams, essentially. The indie-pop supergroup -- composed of musicians who've worked with (hmm, that sounded weird, but it's true) The Like, Rilo Kiley, Bright Eyes, Maroon 5 and Mark Ronson, to name a few -- is about to drop their debut album, Suicide Pact. And after hearing "Heartbeat," you're going to want to live forever so you can watch the hook-filled, dramatic electro-pop video again.
The video's definitely trapped in the '80s, paying homage to the decade's classic horror movies. After opening with a spooky PSA about girls getting kidnapped, it finds singer Z Berg singing the chorus while struggling to escape the clutches of a creepy old man. Multi-tasking! Like all good slashers, the video ends with a twist... fingers crossed Berg's heart's still beating.
Suicide Pact is out on L.A. super-indie Dangerbird tomorrow, with "Hearbeat" available for the low, low price of one e-mail.

Paramore's Hayley Williams enjoys her day off at an aquarium.
If mermaids actually existed (sorry to burst any bubbles, guys), we'd hope they'd all look like Paramore's Hayley Williams -- she basically looks like a real-life version of Ariel from "The Little Mermaid" (minus the tail, having a talking crab for a friend, and being confined to the sea). If the singer's signature bright red hair and killer voice don't prove my point, check out the way she's basically hypnotized all those pretty blue fish into a swirling frenzy while visiting an aquarium this past weekend! Even aquatic life know they're lucky to be in the presence of one of the cutest (and best) lead singers out there.
"The Only Exception" rocker was snapped checking out some fishies and shared the photo on the band's Instagram along with the caption, "Spent my day off at the Aquarium of the Pacific #itsterrific!" It's just nice to know that even though the band is hard at work on the follow-up to their most recent album, Brand New Eyes, they still find time to relax and take field trips to cool places for inspiration. Speaking of inspiration, can everyone just agree that a Paramore cover of "Part of Your World" is now totally necessary?!

Beyoncé dedicated some beautiful thoughts to Frank Ocean.
We're huge Frank Ocean fans around these parts. Though we didn't think it possible, we became even bigger stans of the R&B singer/songwriter after he was brave enough to publicly reveal personal details about his sexuality. (In case you just got the internet, last week, Frank Ocean posted an open letter on his Tumblr, where he divulged that his first love was a man. Since his candid blog post, which may be changing the face of hip-hop, Frank Ocean has received an outpouring of support from friends like Tyler, The Creator, Russell Simmons, fans, family and ummmm Beyoncé.
Beyoncé and Frank Ocean developed a friendship when they worked together on her song "I Miss You." To show support for her collaborator, the ever-elegant Beyoncé wrote some simple yet stirringly beautiful words of wisdom and dedicated them to Frank; Beyoncé took to her took to her website, and over a black-and-white image of Frank Ocean she wrote the words: "Be fearless. Be honest. Be generous. Be brave. Be poetic. Be open. Be free. Be yourself. Be in love. Be happy. Be inspiration." Amazing words from an amazing woman dedicated to an amazing man.

Korean girl group Wonder Girls get bionic with the help of Akon.
We probably don't have to remind you that Korean girl group Wonder Girls have been on their grind this year, charting a course for world domination. And part of their plan to dominate the globe includes teaming up with international superstar Akon on their new English-language single, "Like Money," which is an expertly produced, high-octane dance record that has the gals cooing about being treated like a new pair of expensive kicks, diamonds, and well, RACKS ON RACKS OF STACKS ON STACKS.
At the top of the "Like Money" video, we learn that the girls are actually robots created in the image of perfection, which is redundant because they're already perfect. The bionic version of the ladies rock some intense Latex onesies while engaging in some serious '90s-era/Spice Girls-reminiscent choreography in a variety of futuristic locations that we wish were real. Akon joins in, and even though he's sitting down for most of his cameo, he works his signature hater blockers, which leads us to wonder if he has eyeballs (seriously, Akon is NEVER not wearing shades). Plot-wise, that pretty much covers things. But did we mention the Latex onesies and the dancing? Because the onesies and the dancing!! What's Korean for "WE FREAKING LOVE THIS"?
