Rihanna's tubing adventure in Barbados far outweighs our deflated backyard kiddie pool.
If you thought Rihanna was opting for a low-key summer after last year's extravaganza, then you may or may not be tripping. (By the way, "low key" probably doesn't exist in Rihanna's vocabulary.)
Rihann was recently snapped tubing (or whatever you call that? I just know it's not an Olympic sport) with friends and simultaneously reminding me that my own wild summer of slapping on SPF 75 while wading in a kiddie pool is just pathetic. BRB, Photoshopping photos of myself onto Rihanna's life. Again.
Rihanna, where your SUPERYACHT at?!
The "Where Have You Been" singer has spent the last few days in Barbados to be closer to family after the recent passing of her grandmother, but she also seems to be enjoying the time back home with some watersports. Per usual, Ri's looking like an absolute goddess sunning herself on that boat, but we're dying to know why she isn't soaking up rays on a SUPERYACHT this summer?! And don't go telling us it has something to do with the shaky economy these days, 'cause Rihanna just topped Forbes' highest paid stars under 30 (along with BFF Katy Perry!). She could probably afford to buy every single one of us a gigantic boat AND still have some extra coin left to buy each one of us our own lake to float it on. (Isn't it like, tons of fun pretending to be Rihanna's friends!? Weclome to our favorite past time.)

MNDR pretty much puts you directly into her new video for "C.L.U.B." You're a star!
What if I told you that we could fly you across the country, have you party with electro-pop duo MNDR, and document it for all your (Facebook) friends to see? Okay, well we can't do that. That would cost like a lot of money. BUT, we can do the next best thing: Watch and make a MNDR video that makes all that seem true. Impossible, you say? Nope! You're going to want to watch this.

For her new single, "C.L.U.B," MNDR decided to do something a little different. As only the winners of the O Music Award for Most Innovative Solo Performer would do, the singer got super interactive with the video, which was made with the help of our bros over at the O Music Awards who actually use the internet for smart stuff instead of just cat videos (guilty). Basically, if you connect with Facebook to the video, the crazy trip that the clip documents becomes your experience. Your friends, your fights, your boss, everything. Basically, your life is scored by MNDR. Who wouldn't want that? While we can't give you the wild experience that's in the video, we can make it TOTALLY look that way. Sometimes, you gotta fake it til you make it guys.

Ke$ha dyes her hair bright white!
It's not breaking news that Ke$ha loves making art projects out of her hair. She's studded it, shaved it, Skrillex-ed it, and now dyed it super-duper bright white! But before you go all, "girl is a true style innovator," let's just remember who's been rocking the white locks like a pro for years now -- Gwen Stefani! (Oh, and Betty White.)
The "Supernatural" singer took time away from working on her new album to snap a shot of her new 'do color. She shared the pic on Twitter along with the caption, "Did i tell yall that my hairs. r. white.? like a white LION," (Or the same color of her adorbz little kitty!). Technically the photo is in black and white, so we're gonna take her word for it, but we have to give Ke$ha props. It takes serious guts to bleach your hair devoid of any nutrients in the name of fashion! But we kinda get the feeling that since she didn't bat an eye at tattooing "suck it" on the inside of her lip, she probably could care less about getting a nasty bout of split ends.

Young Money singer Shanell: Nose chain swag for days, y'all.
It would be enough if Young Money chanteuse Shanell were solamente the baddest chick we've ever seen rocking a ear-to-nose-ring chain. Which she is. But, as it turns out, she's also churning out some of the chilliest, coolest dance music this side of Cassie. Shanell's new track, "Just for the Night," is taken from her upcoming mixtape Nobody's B**** (also the likely title of our autobiography. But this teaser track gives a nice taste of what to expect from the urban-pop songbird, who started her career as a dancer for Ciara before writing tracks for Melanie Fiona, Ne-Yo, and Jennifer Hudson.

Squelchy synths and and Shanell's sultry vocals paint a picture of a one-night stand between lovers in love with someone else: "He's in love, I'm his doctor/Cause she left him all alone/I wore the dress that he bought her/Makes him feel he's right at home," she sings over '80s-inspired production courtesy of Mad Decent (that's Diplo's record label, y'all!) producer Derek "DJA" Allen. Basically, this is the lady version of Usher's "Climax." Sweat, put in werque, hit play on this again and again.
Young Money might be best known for acts Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj, but Shanell's showing some impressive versatility here, and it's got us real pumped up to see what she delivers on Nobody's B****, which drops July 23.

Check out R&B crooner Mateo's new slow jam "Carry On."
Could anyone use a slow jam right about now? We thought so. Slated to appear as the first song on R&B crooner Mateo's forthcoming "Suite 823" mixtape, "Carry On" is a laid-back track that perfectly showcases Mateo's rich vocals. It also makes us fall in love with him on the spot, and we're wondering if he's single. Anyone?

Produced by long-time Alicia Keys collaborators Kerry "Krucial" Brothers and Zeke MacUmber, the song speaks to the strength and resolve it takes to keep going when you're going through heartache. Set to a silvery, ethereal beat, choir synths ring loudly in the background as Mateo pleads: "If you want me/ Like I want you, baby/ If you got me/ And I got you... and we can just carry on." Umm, yeah, we DEFINITELY want you. No question. But just out of curiosity, what exactly does that entitle us to?

So, it's probably not any secret that we're pretty huge One Direction fans here. If I linked to every story we've done, the internet would possibly sputter and spit out a few spare bolts. We've been 1D fans, and we have been from the beginning. However, with their newfound fame, they've picked up a few other fans. You know, the kind old enough to rent a car and put a down payment on a house. But that's perfectly fine if you're a silver-haired cougar, of say, age 28 or up! Don't be ashamed! One Direction RULES, and you don't have to be a recent graduate of Huggies Pull-Ups to know that. You don't have to hide your love away in your own personal One Direction hurt locker, thanks to our friends at Jest.com, who captured the ever-growing subset of adult One Direction fans in their hilarious adult fan video.

The video starts with five sorta-familiar looking British boys (you aren't fooling anyone Harry Styles lookalike, you with your bow-tie and hair!) singing to a 33-year-old woman who just wants to let her 1D flag fly. The boys sing to her (to the tune of "What Makes You Beautiful") "It's OK (oh oh)/ It's okay to like this song!" We agree! YOU CANNOT ESCAPE THIS SONG! So bump this in your minivan. We almost bought their half eaten toast on eBay for $100,000, so we're in no place to judge.

We'd probably pay money to run our hands through Kyle Patrick's hair.
You know the cute lead singer of The Click Five? You know, the one with the best hair in the "Jenny" video? That's Kyle Patrick. (Note: If you're committed to him on the level of those One Direction Tumblr fan fic types, then we really don't have to tell you who Kyle is. But we're providing a primer just in case.) As a member of The Click Five, Kyle sold more than 2 million records and scored No. 1 singles in a whopping eight countries. He's already sold out arenas, and he's shared the stage with the likes of The Black Eyed Peas, One Republic, Gym Class Heroes, Panic! at the Disco and The Script. He's amazing(ly hot), and he's currently embarking on a solo mission. So yes, he's kind of a big deal.

Kyle's prepping for the release of his self-titled five-track EP, featuring his first single, "Go For Gold," which is a bouncy, sing-along track with pop-rock hooks like woah. It's the perfect Kyle 101 primer (again, in case you don't run one of those F***YeahKylePatrick Tumblrs). It also doesn't hurt that his video is in 3-D and that he dances on tables while wearing an INCREDIBLE blue suit. (Attention all other dudes: You CANNOT out-hot this guy.) And did I mention that he and The Click 5 are official MTV Exit ambassadors, aiding in the mission to help end human trafficking? Hot, dancey, looks good in a suit and has a heart of gold? I probably would've settled for just one of those things. Easily.
Oh, and on his approach to his solo debut, Kyle explains: "I want to surprise and inspire people, and I want to surprise myself." Mission accomplished, bro.

Kimbra finds love in an enchanted forest in her new 'Two Way Street' video. Why can't this happen to us?
By now, Kimbra is basically a household name. But, just in case you've had mono or your didn't pay your cable bill, then we'll remind you that this MTV Push Alum rose to fame after her infectious collabo with Gotye, "Somebody That I Used To Know." And sure, Kimbra and Gotye's duet was gorgeous, but after hearing everywhere from the bank to our sleep, we're actually pretty excited to get our hands on some songs of Kimbra's own.

Kimbra's latest is called "Two Way Street" -- from her excellent Vows album -- and it's a jazzy pop record with a magical new video. Vaguely reminiscent of Katy Perry's "Wide Awake," Kimbra finds herself alone in an enchanted forest. Naturally, she's decked in her signature corset and ball gown skirt (luv dat), and as she stumbles alone through an empty forest, she finds herself in front of a magical red door. The door leads her everywhere, from a house, to an old elevator and eventually to the middle of a busy highway with cars whizzing by. Along the way, Kimbra meets a cute dude who eventually finds his way to that very same magical red door. Symbolism? After he opens it, Kimbra and dude piece rendezvous back in the enchanted forest where presumably, they will live happily ever after and have ridiculously chic nymph-fairy babies. That's all we could ever ask for, really.

Adam Lambert embraces his animal instincts in the best jacket ever.
Typically when we see Adam Lambert's wardrobe, he sticks to earth tones. Sometimes he's covered in dirt, sure. Other times, he's dressed like a mortician, but he still WERQUES it. But very rarely does he bust out something so loud and so furry that he looks like he may be auditioning for a new Muppets film (fingers crossed for that!). Just sayin', look out Lady Gaga, you're not the only Muppet accessorizer anymore.
Adam tweeted the photo from a show yesterday with the caption "got a Dragon on my back." Well, I for one hope for more crazy Muppet-style costumes and collabos. It worked for Cee Lo Green, and he's a judge on "The Voice." Maybe if you get crazy with the outfits, you can land that "American Idol" judge gig you're reportedly up for? We'd be all for that. So start sewing a Miss Piggy jacket, and make us proud!
