Demi Lovato steps out in Miami looking very Gaga.
Maybe it was "dress your fave music idol at work" day or something, because Demi Lovato kinda looks like she shopped in Lady Gaga's closet. (Either that or she's going undercover as Gaga, in which case -- VERY SNEAKY, but we're onto you, Demi!) The circle sunglasses, punk-rock shoulder spikes and Demi's cotton candy hair totally nail some of our favorite Gaga looks. (Fortunately Demi opted out of a grade-A meat dress, which was smart considering she was in Miami and it probably wouldn't keep that well. And because, well, gross.)
Demi Lovato and Lady Gaga are practically twinsies. We have zero problems with that.
Wait, perhaps Demi's sending a signal that she wants to be invited to Lady Gaga's next sleepover like Lindsay Lohan. OMG OMG OMG! Then the girls could play beauty shop, gossip about boys, and even talk about a possible collabo on each other's next albums -- OMG, PLEASE collaboration, guys! Oh, and let us know if the sleepover happens 'cause we'll bring Mall Madness.

Paper Route aim for the sky on "You and I."
Paper Route know the way into your ears. The Nashville trio's "You and I" is a heartfelt anthem that delivers hazy synthesizers, a chunky rhythm section, and inspirational words. "Can I give you something to believe in?" frontman J.T. Daly sings, before ripping into a chorus that definitely gets our vote. They show their rock chops on the track's bridge, when electric guitars crackle through the synth fog. The band's sound borrows from Coldplay's recent interstellar vibes, but when they hit the hook, we're "Wide Awake" like Katy Perry.

Not that the dudes don't have indie cred: you've probably heard Paper Route's "The Music" during "(500) Days of Summer," or caught them touring with Paramore or Passion Pit. The band's self-released sophomore set, The Peace of Wild Things, is due Sept. 11 -- the band's first album since 2009's Absence. Their comeback includes a very "Twilight Saga"-y album cover: going by the wolf pack, we're guessing they're probably Team Jacob. Or maybe Team "The Hangover Part II," which is fine by us -- we'll take all the wolf packs we can get. And all the epic synth-rock songs, too.

By now, you know that we've hit our maximum quota of "Call Me Maybe" cover videos. We mean no disrespect to Carly Rae Jepsen, it's just that after watching the original version, Katy Perry's "Call Me Maybe" cover, fun.'s "Call Me Maybe" cover, and 80 gabillion more on the internet, we've maxed out. HOWEVER, the only "CMM" cover video we will happily make an exception for is the brand-new one just released by Team USA Olympic Swimmers!!!

The long-awaited Olympico opening ceremony is tonight, so what better time than right now to bring you this incredible clip of
a bunch of hard-bodied hottiesour nation's finest aquatic athletes singing Carly Rae's infectious hit? In the video, we see Ryan Lochte, Michael Phelps, Missy Franklin, and the rest of the prestigious Team USA Swimmers lip synching, dancing, and clowning to Carly's hit. Team members Alyssa Anderson, Kathleen Hersey and Caitlin Leverenz were the masterminds behind the project, rounding up the troops for this very important Jepsen homage. Also, everyone please pay special attention to time-mark 1:03 when our No. 1 Olympic crush, Ryan Lochte, is shirtless and blowing all of America a big kiss. WE DIE. Go, Team USA! Tito Lopez professes his love for his home state of Mississippi in his video "The Blues."
Mississippi MC Tito Lopez is about to take over the rap game with his open and introspective debut single, "The Blues." It marks Tito's first single off his forthcoming debut album on Capitol Records and his long-awaited follow-up to his smash "Mama Proud."

The video was shot in Mississippi and focuses on Tito's love and pride for his home state. He rides around in the back of a car and looks out the window onto his beloved hometown and ponders: "I'm asking questions/ Life got me guessing/ I got the blues." Then Tito hops out of the car, makes a pit stop at a blues cafe, and meets some fellow Mississippi-natives with whom he shoots the breeze. Nighttime falls, and Tito is still roaming his hometown. He takes in aspects of the city he loves like meeting up with old pals, as well as the parts he finds tougher to take like the poverty that falls on the city's youth. Mad props though for being introspective while still maintaining your swag, Tito. Don't forget to catch Tito Lopez live as he tours nationwide with rapper Big K.R.I.T..

Remember how ridiculously bangin' Cheryl Cole looked in her "Call My Name" video? Now take that number and multiply it by 78,000. That's the attractiveness level Cheryl is working with in her latest clip, "Under The Sun." Sometimes life is just unfair like that. Still love you Cheryl!

The Alex Da Kid-produced "Under The Sun" is the second single from Cole's A Million Lights LP. In the video, Cheryl spends most her time looking like a supermodel while making every dude around her crazed with "Cheryl Fever." Cheryl then takes over an entire neighborhood; scandalizing cafes, restaurants, street corners, and outdoor food markets with her revealing outfits and minx-like dance moves.
Eventually, a bevvy of 50's-era-inspired men in suits dance their way on to the scene. Unfortunately, we can't be bothered to care, because we're way too busy looking at Cheryl's impossibly teeny-tiny waist. Cole continues to shock the neighborhood watch, until she struts off into the distance, confident she has made every woman around her insecure about both their looks and their marriages. Yeah, well we say get yours, Cheryl! Just do me a solid though and stay the hell away from my block -- it's already hard enough to land a man without you and your hot bod around.

Never thought I'd say this, but Katy Perry's new product endorsement makes me curiously hungry for starch in a bag! Pardon us, did we say starch? Because we actually meant the incredible, gluten-free snack that is Popchips!
Katy Perry recently signed on as a Popchips spokesperson and investor and proudly posed next to her favorite snack for the official endorsement press photo. A true testament to the power of social networking (and stackin' that paper), Katy Perry has Twitter to thank for her latest business venture; as the story goes, while doing press promoting her "Part Of Me" film, Katy found herself hungry late at night. Instead of choosing something unhealthy (i.e. an entire 14-slice pizza pie with extra mushrooms -- welcome to my life) she popped some Popchips from the hotel minibar, she was immediately hooked and tweeted about her new obsession to all her followers. Popchips took note, and BOOM! An endorsement deal was born. I won't deny that even without Katy's co-sign I've been known to down a bag (or seven) of Popchips' Salt & Vinegar chips. Now, maybe I'll only go for, say, three bags, because Katy Perry probably didn't get that hot by eating EVERY BAG IN SIGHT. THANK GOD, a reason to moderate.

Justin Bieber literally begs a monkey to kiss him. The monkey happily obliges.
Thousands -- if not bazillions -- of women would push their grandmothers in front of a bus (a parked bus) to kiss Justin Bieber. And not to get all evolution-versus-creation on you, but we really haven't evolved too far from our primate past, because even monkeys cannot turn down an offer to kiss Justin Bieber.

While backstage at an event, Justin met a monkey and his trainer. After
flirtingplaying with the monkey, the "As Long As You Love Me" singer asked the animal for a kiss on the cheek. Unsurprisingly, even the monkey had a serious case of Bieber fever and didn't hesitate to lean in and plant one on Bieber. Justin, who's still rocking the Johnny Bravo look, looked absolutely thrilled and then proclaimed "I love monkeys!" We do too, bro...we just never thought we'd be jealous of one. (Note: earlier this week Shakira kissed a killer whale, so I kinda think she wins in the Celebrities Kissing Wild Animals competition, which should really be a sport what with the Olympics here and everything. Lady Gaga adds actress to her long list of accomplishments!
It's not like Lady Gaga needs another skill -- Mother Monster is already a singer, a parfumier, a flight attendent, a spy, etc. But, Gaga is a consummate overachiever, and she's adding actress to her long list of growing accomplishments. And we will watch, OBVIOUSLY.
Lady Gaga will make her big-screen acting debut in the role of La Chameleon in "Machete Kills," the celeb-packed sequel to 2010's "Machete." While details on Gaga's role have been kept under wraps, director Robert Rodriguez recently tweeted: "I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills , she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!" Gaga then also took to twitter to confirm, saying: "Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress in the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane."
Insane? We'd say so too (note: she is literally WEARING a wolf). If for some bizarre reason Gaga's role isn't enough to make you head to the theaters, then we'll remind you that she joins Jessica Alba, Sofia Vergara, Amber Heard, Vanessa Hudgens, Michelle Rodriguez, and Charlie Sheen. Plus did we mention The Lady is wearing a wolf? Just thought we'd reiterate.

Dan Black gets deep in his "Raw" video.
You know Dan Black? He's the electro-pop artist who made a splash with his soaring "Symphonies," which not only earned him a 2010 MTV VMA nomination but demonstrated that he was brave enough to sample Rihanna's nearly untouchable "Umbrella" and then totally nail it. After touring with Robyn (we diiiie) and covering hip-hop songs, Dan's back with more metallic-tinged pop perfection that advocates a mantra we can get totally behind: just chill and be yourself. (So, YOLO, basically.)

In the video, Dan makes his way to a beautiful beach where he dances with women wearing gold lamé jumpers. (Why not a bathing suit, though? Don't be ashamed of your bodies, ladies!) They spin, twirl, and clearly DGAF about how weird (but in a good way!) they look. Dan then finds himself in a dark room sitting next to a woman with a tie around her mouth (??). While this scene doesn't quite fit with the beach motif, we assume it's a metaphor for the pitfalls of self-censorship or for not letting your true feelings out. One of those. I think! The sun goes down, and Dan's surrounded by the women who've ripped off their skin and morphed into beautiful bird ladies as the song explodes into a Coldplay-worthy climax. The whole point is that if you wear gold lamé to the beach you'll ultimately end up taking it off. (Which is a metaphor for being yourself!) And that Dan Black remains a master of artistic electro-pop.
