Justin Bieber Will 'Be Around A Long Time,' will.i.am Predicts

The Black Eyed Pea tells MTV News why he teamed up with the teen star for his upcoming solo project, #willpower.

<a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> has a fan in the Black Eyed Peas' very own <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/will_i_am/artist.jhtml">will.i.am</a>.The BEP frontman enlisted the help of the <a href="/news/articles/1687712/will-i-am-justin-bieber-neyo-album.jhtml">teen dream for his solo album, #willpower.</a> And while, the album is full of collaborations, will.i.am had a reason for getting the 18-year-old involved with the release."I like him because he's going to be around for a long time," he told MTV News. "And he's really talented." will went on to gush about the star, but he wouldn't reveal much when it came to what their tune will sound like, teasing, "You'll have to hear it."<div class="player-placeholder right" title="will.i.am Taps Justin Bieber And More On Upcoming Album" id="vid:818032" width="415" height="255"></div>In addition to discussing the Believe singer, will noted that he's almost done with the album: "[I'm a] couple weeks away from completion, so we'll have Bieber on the record, <a href="/news/articles/1685435/eva-simons-william-this-is-love.jhtml">Eva Simons on the album</a>, LMFAO, Ne-Yo, a lot of cool folks."It's also been rumored that Britney Spears, Alicia Keys, Swedish House Mafia, Shakira, Busta Rhymes and Swizz Beatz may all appear on the record, set to drop later this year. Those names haven't been confirmed, but onetime Pussycat Doll and "X Factor" judge Nicole Scherzinger has laid down her vocals for the album."There's classical sh--, like just me and a guitar and an orchestra or me with just an orchestra and a kid's choir," will.i.am told Billboard back in June about the solo effort. "There's some ghetto, ugly, dirty stuff. And then there's dance stuff, global world stuff and, like, avant-garde, left-of-center, for-art's-sake music that has nothing to do with getting played on the radio. I'm just art-ing out. Bieber teases video's premiere later this week and shares all the things he learned working with Michael Madsen.

The singer tweeted that the video will not only feature Big Sean but also actor Michael Madsen (<a href="http://www.mtv.com/movies/movie/28954/moviemain.jhtml">"Reservoir Dogs"</a>).On Monday, Bieber <a href="https://twitter.com/justinbieber" target="_blank">tweeted</a> that he would release a teaser on Wednesday ahead of the video's premiere, which is slated for Friday or Monday. And that's when he also dropped that little bit of casting news.<div class="player-placeholder right" title="Justin Bieber Proving His Haters Wrong With 'Good Music'" id="vid:793035" width="415" height="255"></div>"Should we show a minute snip of #ALAYLM short film on America's got talent this wed then release the video friday or next monday? should we?" he asked his followers. 'It's tight I get to share some light with him,' Sean tells MTV News before Sunday's show.

On Sunday night (July 22), <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> was joined by Big Sean for a swagged-out <a href="/news/articles/1690173/justin-bieber-teen-choice-awards-performance.jhtml">performance of "As Long as You Love Me"</a> during the <a href="/news/articles/1690174/teen-choice-awards-winners-list.jhtml">Teen Choice Awards</a>.But not long before the MC spit his verse alongside the pop superstar, MTV News caught up with him on the red carpet, where he shared his marching orders for the gig.<div class="player-placeholder right" title="Big Sean Keeping It 'Moving' For Justin Bieber Teen Choice Performance" id="vid:817409.id:1690172" width="415" height="255"></div>"It's really Justin Bieber's performance, and I'm just guest performing," he said. "It's really his show. I'm not going to take anything away from it. I just come out do my verse, keep it player, keep it moving, and it's fun though."Sean added that he was looking forward to some of that TCA attention. "It's tight to be able to get to work with him," he continued. "He's Justin Bieber ... arguably one of the biggest artists in the world. They worked with Anthony Mandler on the clip, which, according to a recently released screen grab, will leave Bieber a bit roughed up. Little is known about the story line, and Mandler's only tease so far is one tweet: "It's a story of love.... #believe."With Bieber's <a href="/news/articles/1688265/justin-bieber-after-believe.jhtml">Believe Tour on the horizon</a>, Sean isn't ruling out any surprise cameos. That means the twosome have until September, when the tour begins, to plot out some special performances."I don't know about the tour, but maybe some special cities. Teen Choice Awards Belong To Justin Bieber, 'Hunger Games'

Taylor Swift and 'Vampire Diaries' also score multiple awards during Sunday's show.

Justin Bieber, One Direction, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and the casts of "Twilight" and "The Hunger Games" are all proud owners of brand-new surfboards after coming away winners at Sunday's (July 22) <a href="/news/articles/1690174/teen-choice-awards-winners-list.jhtml">Teen Choice Awards</a>.The 14th annual awards show was hosted by Demi Lovato and "Glee" star Kevin McHale and featured a host of multiple winners from across the entertainment landscape. It also saw <a href="/news/articles/1690173/justin-bieber-teen-choice-awards-performance.jhtml">performances by Bieber</a>, Carly Rae Jepsen, Flo Rida and <a href="/news/articles/1690171/no-doubt-teen-choice-awards-performance.jhtml">No Doubt, who gave their first televised performance</a> of their new single "Settle Down."Awards were voted on by fans, who cast a total of 134 million votes, Lovato reported during the show.<div class="player-placeholder right" title="Justin Bieber And Big Sean Get Down At Teen Choice Awards" id="vid:817411.id:1690172" width="415" height="255"></div>Bieber, who performed a medley of "Boyfriend" and "As Long as You Love Me" — the latter featuring an assist from Big Sean — was named Choice Male Artist. I hope you guys are playing it over and over again, and this is just a reminder to everybody in here: Believe. Thank you," he said.Bieber's better half, Selena Gomez, was awarded Choice Music Group along with her band, Selena Gomez & the Scene. Gomez accepted on behalf of her bandmates. "This is the best birthday present ever!" said Gomez, who turned 20 on Sunday. Kevin Hart then led the crowd in a sing-along of "Happy Birthday" to the star.Swift was named Choice Female Artist and was also given Choice Single by a Female Artist ("Eyes Open"), Choice Country Song ("Sparks Fly"), Choice Female Country Artist and Choice Movie Voice (for Audrey in "Dr. Suess' The Lorax"). The five awards brought her career total to 20 Teen Choice Awards. "This is a really, really huge award, and I'm so excited and I just feel so honored that I get to have you guys in my life," she said to her fans. "I'm so happy right now, thank you so much. And thank you to Teen Choice for giving teens a chance to vote for something, because I love getting these!"The "Twilight" saga was given the evening's Ultimate Choice award, bringing the series total to more than 40 Teen Choice Awards. Stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner accepted on the movie's behalf. Lautner called it "an extreme honor," and Pattison and Stewart gave it up to the fans, literally, by handing their surfboards over to members of the audience."The Hunger Games" star Josh Hutcherson was named Choice Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and was quite proud of his new trophy. "I've always wanted to own my own surfboard, so now I have one. This is awesome!" he said. "The Hunger Games" was also named Choice Book and Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and Hutcherson and co-star Jennifer Lawrence were given Choice Lip Lock honors.One Direction were not on hand to accept their awards for Choice Summer Music Star: Group, Choice Music Breakout Group or Choice Love Song (for "What Makes You Beautiful"), but they sent in a humorous video of themselves receiving the surfboard award by mail."The Vampire Diaries" and its cast picked up a handful of awards, including Choice TV Show Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Choice TV Actor Sci-Fi/Fantasy (for Ian Somerholder), and Somerholder also won for Choice Hottie: Male. (Miley Cyrus, who wasn't on hand, won Choice Hottie: Female, along with Choice Fashion Icon: Female.) When accepting his Choice Hottie award, Somerholder thanked his fans and said he loves them all "each individually."Zac Efron, a multiple winner for "The Lucky One" (he picked up Choice Movie Actor: Drama and Choice Movie Actor: Romance, while "The Lucky One" won Choice Movie: Drama), also thanked his fans, whom he called "the best fans in the world."Jonah Hill gets credit for reaching outside the show's target demographic to poke fun at 82-year-old Oscar winner Christopher Plummer while picking up the Choice Movie: Comedy award for "21 Jump Street." "I got nominated for an Oscar earlier this year, and I lost to a guy named Christopher Plummer, who's an older, fantastic actor. So I'm better."Choice Comedian winner Ellen DeGeneres poked fun at the awards show's surfboard theme when picking up her award, her fourth. Even before he took the stage, his fans were really excited for him, cheering and screaming in anticipation. In addition to winning four surfboards, he gave fans a crunchier version of his single "Boyfriend."Dressed up in silver and black, Bieber took the stage in a futuristic setting, surrounded by dancers in silver bodysuits. But he didn't play much of "Boyfriend": The focus was on his new single, "As Long as You Love Me."
