Переслать - Watch 'Detention' Clip With Josh Hutcherson, Out Today On Blu-Ray And DVD
By Ashleigh Schmitz
It's probably been a little while since your last Josh Hutcherson fix, but lucky for you, there's "Detention," which comes out today on Blu-ray and DVD. In this clip from the movie, you can get a look at Hutcherson talking about life after graduating, dating, and the slasher movie killer wreaking havoc on the student body, Cinderhella—all normal high school topics—with Shanley Caswell while riding together on a skateboard.
The horror-comedy flick, which premiered at SXSW in 2011 and hit theaters last April, follows a group of high school seniors through their last days of school as they deal with final exams, prom, detention, and the aforementioned serial killer. From the context of the clip (and the trailer), we'd say Hutcherson and Caswell haven't found themselves locked in detention—from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the day of prom, when the killer is probably going to strike—just yet.
To find out what happens and who survives, check out "Detention" on Blu-Ray and DVD today.
Переслать - Exclusive 'Celeste And Jesse Forever' Clip: Three's An Awkward Crowd
Usually when an on-screen couple goes through a divorce, it's a messy affair at the beginning of the movie that set the characters free to find themselves or liberates them from an unhealthy relationship. In "Celeste and Jesse Forever," Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg try the best they can to stay what they've always been, best friends.
The Sundance Film Festival hit opens in select theaters on Friday, but today, we have an exclusive and wonderfully awkward clip from the film.
In the clip, Celeste (Jones) goes on a date with Max, played by "Mad Men"'s Rich Sommer. Things seem to be going okay, that is until Jesse (Samberg) shows up to say "hello."
"Celeste and Jesse Forever" opens in limit release on August 3.
Переслать - 'The Counselor' Set Photos Debut, Two Actors Join The Cast
Though he's still rounding out the movie's cast, it looks like Ridley Scott has already started filming his upcoming movie "The Counselor."
JustJared has nabbed a photo of Brad Pitt shooting a scene in a hotel on the London set of the movie, dressed in full cowboy attire. Pitt plays Westray in the film, a man who advises Michael Fassbender's character in the drug deal that the movie hinges on.
In addition to this new set photo, we've also learned about two actors who have joined the cast in the movie.
Deadline is reporting that John Leguizamo has come on board to play a low level drug dealer. Variety has learned that Rosie Perez has been cast as well, though there's no news on who she'll be playing.
In addition to Pitt, Fassbender, Perez and Leguizamo, "The Counselor" stars Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz and Dean Norris.
Written by Cormac McCarthy, "The Counselor" tells the story of a lawyer (Fassbender) looking for some easy money after he pops the question to his girlfriend (Cruz), so he plans to smuggle $20 million of drugs into the US with the help of a criminally-tied acquaintance (Bardem) and the mysterious, untrustworthy Westray (Pitt). He quickly learns what a mess he's gotten himself into, though. It doesn't have an official release date yet, but "The Counselor" will likely hit theaters at some point next year.

Переслать - Russell Brand May Replace Jim Carrey In 'Pierre, Pierre'
By Ashleigh Schmitz
British funny man Russell Brand may be headed back to movie theaters in "Pierre, Pierre," a politically incorrect romp of a comedy (via Variety). Larry Charles is set to direct the film, bringing raunchy-comedy cred to the project having previously directed "Borat" and "Bruno".
In the film, Brand would play an obnoxious Frenchman who steals the Mona Lisa and tries to transport it from Paris to London. Encountering numerous roadblocks along the way including a "French police inspector, a serial killer named Pigeons--t and his own brothel-owning mother," it doesn't sound like any easy task.
If Brand says "oui," he would replace Jim Carrey, who was tied to the lead role in early in development, along with director Jason Reitman.
Currently, Brand has his own show, "Brand X With Russell Brand" on FX, and he is also in an as-of-yet untitled directorial debut project from Diablo Cody and will reprise his voice as Dr. Nefario in "Despicable Me 2." Both films are scheduled to hit theaters in 2013.

Переслать - Jessica Biel Faces Terror In Exclusive 'The Tall Man' Clip
Jessica Biel will do anything to save her son in "The Tall Man." The upcoming thriller from "Martyrs" director Pascal Laugier is due out on VOD tomorrow before hitting theaters in a limited release on August 31, and MTV News has an exclusive clip from the project to tease you for its impending premiere.
Biel stars as a mother who lives in town where children are going missing, though she doesn't believe in the myth of the Tall Man kidnapper until her own son disappears.
Between her work on "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," "Cellular" and this film, Biel has definitely mastered her look of terror. Tensions are running high in this clip, which shows Biel's character Julia Denning coming face-to-face with the titular Tall Man.
In addition, this movie stars "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's" Jodelle Ferland, who also has quite a history in horror. She's been terrifying us for years before she introduced the world to the short second life of Bree Tanner, having starred in in the 2006 "Silent Hill" film, "Case 39" and "The Cabin in the Woods." In "The Tall Man," Ferland plays a child who not only believes in the Tall Man but has seen him.
Here's the official synopsis for the movie (courtesy of Bloody Disgusting):
"In an isolated, slowly dying mining town, children are vanishing without a trace – abducted, the townsfolk whisper, by a mysterious entity known locally as 'The Tall Man.' Town nurse Julia Denning (Jessica Biel) seems skeptical…until her young David disappears in the middle of night. Frantic to rescue the boy, Julia lives every parent's darkest nightmare in this twisting, shock-around-each-corner thriller."

Переслать - Emma Stone To Star In Cameron Crowe's Next Film
By Ashleigh Schmitz
Big screen "it-girl" of the moment, Emma Stone has recently joined Cameron Crowe's new movie, an untitled love story, with Sony Pictures. Deadline reports that Crowe will direct the film, which has a "tone reminiscent of past Crowe films 'Almost Famous' and 'Jerry Maguire.'"
This film has the potential to be great, considering that Stone hasn't made any real missteps with her choices and Crowe's projects are usually smart and poignant. Add to that equation executive producer Scott Rudin, who has been behind many Oscar-winning and nominated movies in recent years ("Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close", "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and "Moneyball" from last year alone), and this film has huge momentum going into production.
While story details are limited, Jeff Sneider of Variety tweeted late yesterday, "After sitting on a shelf for years, Crowe's recent rewrite of DEEP TIKI has the project gaining momentum at Sony again..." not long before Deadline's exclusive, leading many to believe that Crowe's "Deep Tiki" script is moving forward with Stone and a yet to be named male lead rather than Reese Witherspoon and Ben Stiller, who were both previously attached to the project.
Crowe is scheduled to begin directing the film next spring, and if everything continues according to plan, The Playlist estimates that the film will hit theaters sometime in 2014.
Next up for Stone is "Gangster Squad," which recently moved its release date from September to January due to re-shoots.

Переслать - 'Rush Hour' Producer Wants Fourth Movie To Be 'Gritty'
By Ryan Gowland
The past five years have been completely "Rush Hour" sequel-free, but whether you've been craving a fourth installment to the franchise or not, one is in the works anyway as long as it's "done the right way" which apparently still means Jackie Chan, Chris Tucker and Brett Ratner.
That seemed like an impossibility a year ago, when Ratner told Vulture that it would be too expensive "to pay me, Chris [Tucker], and Jackie [Chan] to come back" for "Rush Hour 4," but according to franchise producer Arthur Sarkissian, that's exactly what's happening.
Read more after the jump!
"I am working on 'Rush Hour 4' right now with Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan," Sarkissian told Crave Online at the Television Critics Association press tour. "I'm trying to do it closer to how I did 'Rush Hour 1,' more down to earth, more gritty, introduce two new characters and make it real the way the first one was. I personally was not happy with the third one. I thought 1 and 2 were very good. I think 3 got out of hand a little bit. It's not a matter of just bringing them back to do another segment of that or a sequel to it by putting them in another city and having them bicker. I don't want that. I want something new."
Who exactly those "two new characters" might be is unknown, but Sarkissian suggested that they could be two younger cops or perhaps wives of the two leads. "Maybe younger, maybe Chris is now married, maybe Jackie is married to Octavia Spencer, I don't know," said Sarkissian, adding Spencer's name into the mix even though "The Help" actress did not appear in any of the "Rush Hour" films. "Married to Chris's cousin, they live in Shanghai, Chris goes out to visit them. I don't know."
Without a screenplay written, Sarkissian is merely speculating about the potential sequel, though it is still possible Ratner could be brought in to direct, despite Sarkissian's admitted unhappiness with "Rush Hour 3," saying that if Ratner "wants to do it he's more than welcome to do it, but he's got to do it in the right way." That would mean adhering to Sarkissian's "gritty" take, which could mean a sequel that takes its inspiration from the "Fast and the Furious" franchise.
"One of the things that surprised me and actually excited me was how they did 'Fast Five,'" said Sarkissian. "They kept the characters, they took them and they put them in a whole different world. They put them in the world of a heist movie and it worked. I think that was brilliant what they did because if you're not careful, what happens is you just keep repeating yourself."
According to Sarkissian, both Chan and Tucker are interested in returning, and more will likely be revealed once he chooses between the "four or five names" of screenwriters that they are considering.

Переслать - Exclusive 'Harry Potter Wizards' Collection' Clip: Changing Directors
In honor of Harry Potter's 32nd birthday, MTV Movies Blog is proud to bring you an exclusive clip from the upcoming ultimate Blu-ray and DVD collection, "Harry Potter Wizard's Collection."
In the clip above, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Alfonso Cuarón look back at the making of "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," when the series' original director, Chris Columbus, stepped down.
Learn more about the collection after the jump!
For "Prisoner of Azkaban," Cuarón assigned Radcliffe, Grint, and Emma Watson with some homework. They had to write essays about their characters' backgrounds. True to Hermione, Harry, and Ron, Watson wrote the most, Radcliffe wrote a few pages, and Grint just didn't do it.
The featurette comes from the 31-disc "Harry Potter Wizard's Collection," which will be available on September 7, but orders must be made by July 31, if you'd like to own the set.
