- 'Bachelorette' Showcases 'Real Women' And Real Debauchery
We've already discussed several selling points of your next favorite raunchy female-led comedy "Bachelorette," chief among them the lovely ladies-behaving-badly angle, but to further seal the deal in advance of the film's theatrical release tomorrow, we thought we'd share another engaging bit of video featuring the film's stars Kirsten Dunst, Lizzy Caplan, Isla Fisher and Rebel Wilson, plus writer/director Leslye Headland, in which the group addresses the evolution of how women are being depicted in films and finally being allowed to be funny.
"Women have always been as funny as guys, we just had a little bit of a drought there where they weren't writing movies for funny women," Lizzy said. "It's very very frustrating and upsetting to watch guys get to be funny in a comedy and not have anything funny to do. Yeah, the tides are [turning]. Women have been funny in the past in movies and now we are seeing more and more of that again in waves."
Isla then jumped in to make the point that even though the barrier has started to break, there is still the double standard that if women are being funny they have to look good while doing it.
"Women always have to be funny and attractive in movies, and this [movie], it is interesting to be funny and unattractive," she said.
"My cousin was saying that she was so happy that we looked like crap at the end of the movie," Kirsten added. "She said, 'I'm so happy you guys look like you spent all night doing what you did.' ... "It's not glamorized and we did look like crap."
"Yeah, we had a big night," Isla joked.
Speaking on the subject of how this particular film wouldn't have been made a decade ago, writer/director Leslye Headland attributed her success to the many women who paved the way ahead of her.
"There have been so many forerunners," she said. "We're standing on the shoulders of giants, and I don't mean that as a joke. I mean, Tina Fey, Chelsea Handler, Whitney Cummings, Liz Meriwether, Diablo Cody, it's been years now that slowly, little by little, you've been seeing these female writers and directors pushing through slowly, little by little, getting more and more information out there, better characters, making money with better characters."
"Yeah, and so Leslye writes 'Bachelorette' and it features four women who are just crazy outrageous, but super real," said Rebel. "I've never lived in New York and hung out with cool girls like that but I've always imagined that they were like those girls in the movie, doing drugs, partying, all of that and there are girls like that. I think this is an accurate representation that they are very flawed and that's why the act like that, or they are very insecure."
"Yeah, there is something going on under the hood," Leslye added.

"You know, just making sure I'm well rested so I don't look like a hag when I step out on stage," the 20-year-old joked.
When pressed about her pre-show rituals, Demi revealed her own shortlist of artists who get her primed to perform. "There's some music I listen to that really pumps me up is 2 Chainz and Nicki Minaj, but not her pop stuff, like, her grimy stuff. I love it."

Переслать - Get 'Fun Size' With Victoria Justice In New Clip, Poster
A quick PSA for all you Crushers out there: Halloween is less than two months away, meaning you have mere weeks to secure a BBQ-stained tiara and mix a batch of Go-Go Juice for that winning Honey Boo Boo Child costume. So get on that.
One starlet who doesn't have to worry about her get-up is Victoria Justice, who flaunts Dorothy's signature "Wizard of Oz" gingham in the upcoming flick "Fun Size." Victoria plays a teen who's saddled with babysitting her little brother on the ookiest, spookiest night of the year. And, as you might imagine, things end up more trick-filled than treat-filled.
In anticipation of the movie's October 26 release, we have a few goodies to drop into your pillow case. First is an EXCLUSIVE clip, which finds Victoria using her feminine whiles to cajole a ride from nerd Roosevelt (played by Thomas Mann). And, yes, that's "Suburgatory" star Jane Levy in a leopard-print bra.
Click play on the video above to watch the clip!
Next is a sneak peek at "Fun Size"'s one-sheet, which if accurate, leads us to believe the film boasts a cornucopia of hijinks far crazier than spilling orange soda in a convenience store. (Though what a sad waste of a citrus beverage!)

Переслать - 'Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones' Stars Pose For First Cast Photo
Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
With production on the big-screen adaptation of Cassandra Clare's urban fantasy, "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones," in full swing, it was only a matter of time before we peeped the young cast—smiling angelically, of course— in an official photo. And, look! Here it is!
The stars recently took some time off from destroying demons to align for this fancy photocall, the first of many to come, we suspect. Pictured from left to right are Robert Sheehan (Simon), Jamie Campbell Bower (Jace), Lily Collins (Clary), Kevin Zegers (Alec) and Jemima West (Isabelle).
A few things in this image jump out at us right away: First, are the darkly dyed 'dos sported by Kevin and Jemima, in keeping with the Lightwood siblings' raven-colored roots. Though both actors are quite comely with their natural locks, we're happy to see the hair department has kept it close to author Cassie's character descriptions. Second, is the utter attractiveness of Robert, who plays Clary's long-suffering BFF. Maybe it's just us, but is he almost too hot to play Simon? I mean, that deep V... We're getting a little tingly over here. If we were Clary, the choice between Jace and Simon wouldn't be so clear...
"The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones," also starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Lena Headey, will hit theaters in August 2013.

Переслать - 'Bachelorette' Inspires A Walk Down The Aisle Of Bad Movie Bridesmaids
by Jessica Marshall
Your wedding day is supposed to be the greatest day of your life, not the day your former-BFF-turned-psycho bridesmaid ruined it in a blaze of drunken, stumbling, incontinent rage. Or something equally horrific.
Unfortunately, such looks to be the case for poor Becky (Rebel Wilson) in the new film "Bachelorette," who decides it would be the greatest idea ever to enlist as her bridesmaids three maladjusted high school mates who used to make merciless fun of her behind her back. Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher and Lizzy Caplan star as the trio of late-20-something mean girls stuck in their teenaged glory days, who guiltily accept their appointments as bridesmaids and proceed to plan a blow-out bachelorette party—which, due to their various incompetencies, spirals into a night of debauchery that threatens the very fabric of the wedding (and the wedding dress).
As long as there have been movies about weddings, there have been horrible bridesmaids lurking in the celluloid shadows. So in honor of "Bachelorette" hitting theaters this week, here is a roundup of the worst movie bridesmaids ever. If you've been asked to join a wedding party or hope to someday be part of one, you should take a few notes.
Helen, "Bridesmaids"
Sabotaging the maid of honor's attempts to plan pre-wedding festivities because your own life is miserable doesn't count as exemplary b'maid behavior, ladies. Though it does make for some hilarious scenes. But Helen (Rose Byrne) is a bridesmaid-zilla, in a nutshell, who makes every attempt to one-up Annie the maid of honor (Kristen Wiig) in the days leading up to Lillian's (Maya Rudolph) wedding. Although, we have to give Helen credit for offering up adorable puppies as wedding shower favors. Pawsitively brilliant.Julianne, "My Best Friend's Wedding"
Your primary job as maid of honor should be to support the bride, not to attempt every form of sabotage in a bid to steal the groom for yourself. This is not cool, guys. Julia Roberts plays Julianne, a single gal who made a pact with her on-again-off-again college boyfriend/best friend that if neither of them were married by the ripe old age of 28, they would marry each other. When 28 comes around for both of them, Julianne finds herself single, but her BFF (Dermot Mulroney) is suddenly engaged. And with that goes her happily ever after.Tom, "Made of Honor"
Same goes for Tom (Patrick Dempsey), who is asked to serve as the "maid" of honor at his best friend and soul mate Hannah's (Michelle Monaghan) wedding. He even goes so far as to interrupt the wedding (which he earlier ditched) by busting into the church on horseback. Sexy as hell, but still poor form!Rachel, "Something Borrowed"
We don't care how awful of a person the bride is, having an affair with the groom-to-be in the months leading up to the wedding makes Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) a terrible member of the wedding party. Yes, yes, we know the groom is adorable and rich and they have a history together, and that Darcy the bridezilla (Kate Hudson) is a nightmare, but it's really not the right move if you value your friendship with the bride, who entrusted you with the sacred task of being on call 24/7 in case of a bridal meltdown.Emma & Liv, "Bride Wars"
Always the bridezilla, never the bridesmaid-zilla. Not an ideal way to be. Also, it's poor form to declare open war on the bride. Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway play two childhood best friends with the joint life goal of a June wedding at the Plaza. When they both get engaged at the same time, they promptly ask each other to be MOH, and then run to the Plaza to book the dates. But when they find out there's only one date available in that much-coveted month, that whole maid-of-honor thing goes out the window, and the New York City bridal scene becomes an open battlefield.Samantha Baker, "Sixteen Candles"
If your entire family forgot your all-important, life-changing 16th birthday on the day before your sister's wedding, cut them some slack. Don't mope about moodily and not pay attention to the fact that the bride just took a buttload of muscle relaxers and doped herself into matrimonial oblivion. Despite the fact that this John Hughes high school comedy is a classic for kids of a certain generation, it serves as an example of bad bridesmaid behavior (and a cautionary tale of why you should never give your underpants to a horny group of freshmen).Tania, Michelle, Janine & Nicole, "Muriel's Wedding"
In this case, the bride is utterly to blame for her choice of incompetent bridesmaids. If you were as desperate as Muriel (Toni Collette) to have a wedding (never mind who you're marrying), you should probably make sure you have a good friend in your wedding party to tell you what a stupid thing it is that you're doing. But sadly, Muriel doesn't see it that way, and leaves her dissenting best friend Rhonda (Rachel Griffiths) off the b'maid list in favor of the vapid, overly bleached and bronzed bimbos from her hometown who only signed on because the groom is famous.Jane, "27 Dresses"
If your little sister steals your dream wedding venue, dress and groom, be a sport and play along! If you have to, consent to be in 27 other weddings and wear horrible bridesmaids dresses to distract yourself. Jane (Katherine Heigl) tries to do that, but fails miserably in a fit of jealousy. To sabotage her sister's wedding, she puts together a slideshow of very unflattering photos to embarrass her at the rehearsal dinner. Do we even need to tell you that this is a terrible, mean-spirited no-no? Hint: That tactic never works out.Marni, "You Again"
Here is more evidence that it never works in your favor. In this case, the groom's sister/MOH (Kristen Bell) is still stinging years after high school from the bride's merciless taunting. To sabotage their union, she not only airs a video of the bride acting like a total hosebag at the rehearsal dinner, but also brings the bride's sad, pathetic and slightly unhinged ex-fiance along, who gives an epically awkward toast. Then, Marni and her future sister-in-law start an all-out boxing match that ends with people covered in soup. Way to ruin not only the wedding, girls, but also destroy really cute dresses.Kat, "The Wedding Date"
If the primary aim of agreeing to serve as your baby sister's maid of honor is to get back at your ex-fiance, you are probably a terrible bridesmaid. Add to that the whole hiring-a-male-escort thing, and you may end up just looking sad and desperate. Kat (Debra Messing) does end up looking sad and desperate, until she actually ends up falling in love with the gigolo. But we don't recommend trying that. It's probably not going to work for you.Which movie bridesmaid do you think is the worst? Sound off in the comments and on Twitter!
Переслать - 'Nobody Walks' EXCLUSIVE Clip: Oliva Thirlby Smooches John Krasinski
We've had a girl crush on actress Olivia Thirlby ever since her breakout as Ellen Page's sassy sidekick in the 2007 Oscar-winning dramedy "Juno." And, apparently, we aren't the only ones nursing secret affections for the 25-year-old.
In her upcoming film, "Nobody Walks," Olivia plays a young New York filmmaker, Martine, who moves into the guest house of a Southern California family, in order for dad Peter (played by John Krasinski) to help her with the sound design on her project. Though Martine's intentions are innocent enough, no one in the family is untouched by her presence. Least of whom is Peter, who takes an immediate shine to the young artist.
In fact, as you'll see in the EXCLUSIVE clip above, their chemistry is quite heady, as Peter attempts to comfort Martine and things take an unexpected turn for the sexy. (Martine for Worst/Best House Guest Ever?)
Click play to watch the entire (steamy) exchange!
"Nobody Walks," written by Ry Russo-Young and "Girls" creator Lena Dunham, competed at this year's Sundance Film Festival, winning the Special Jury Prize. Also starring Rosemarie DeWitt, Dylan McDermott and Justin Kirk, the film is available now on Video OnDemand and iTunes and will be in theaters on October 19.

Переслать - Molly Tarlov, Tyler Posey Practice Their VMA Red-Carpet Smiles
One of the things that clearly differentiates celebrities from mere humans: the ability to smile without really smiling, a look which gives stars a certain air of smug serenity (unless you're my grandma, in which case you think they look like they're embarrassed about their teeth). And it's a hard trick to pull off...as "Awkward" and "Teen Wolf" stars Molly Tarlov and Tyler Posey learned when they tried to practice their most composed-but-pleased faces for tonight's Video Music Awards.
"I want to work on perfecting the non-smile look," Molly confessed, though her ambitions were met with skepticism by Tyler.
"I always smile," he countered, saying the non-smile look doesn't do it for him. "I don't like that. I feel like that's weird."
To which Molly replied that maybe it is, but she still feels like she should be able to do it, at which point both actors offered up their own version of a perfect red-carpet game face: Molly with a sultry smirk and Tyler with a big, cheesy grin.
"Do we both look good doing it?" asked Molly, after.
Personally, we think these two cuties can make any face they like and still be fabulously photogenic. But with a few hours left before the pre-show festivities begin at 7/8 C, you might be able to sway Molly's approach...so leave your preference in the comments, and don't forget to tune in tonight to see which face strategy she picks!

Переслать - 'Spring Breakers' Starlets Don't Take A Style Vacation In Venice
Word has it that the girls of "Spring Breakers" spend most of their upcoming movie running around in bikinis and sneakers—not exactly haute couture, to be sure. But after seeing the film's leading ladies at last night's premiere at the Venice Film Festival, it's safe to say that their on-set costumes haven't damaged their off-screen style sense!
Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine went for long gowns and old Hollywood glitz as they struck pretty poses on the red carpet... with nary a string bottom in sight.
Our favorite look of the night was undoubtedly Vanessa's: The actress—who happily ditched her bleachy blonde tresses from the film—sported a topknot and smoky eye makeup to go with her embellished goddess gown, taking the ethereal look into ultra-glam territory. And a close second: Rachel, who was channeling Jean Harlow like a champ in cascading chartreuse charmeuse. (Or, okay, maybe it's more of a straight-up gold...but we've always wanted to write those two words together.)
Meanwhile, pretty little Ashley Benson was a beauty in blue, from her slinky, dangerously strapless sequins to her sky-high suede pumps. And the boldest look of the night? That title goes to Selena, who sported a body-hugging A-line gown with shimmery paisley inlays, a twisty bandeau bodice and a big gathered accent on the hip...all of which was so pretty, it's almost possible to ignore the part where her dress didn't quite fit and seemed to be slowly migrating southward.
Almost.

Переслать - 'Hunger Games' Star Josh Hutcherson Does Peeta Proud
With "Catching Fire" production looming, it looks like Josh Hutcherson is back to embracing his inner baker's son. The actor took to Twitter today to share his latest culinary conquest, and we'd like to think if Peeta had his druthers, he'd too replace boring old bread with something a bit more adventurous (yet still in the carbohydrate family, of course). Like this doughnut burger.
heaven. a cheeseburger with doughnuts as buns. what more can we ask? why can't everything be this simple? twitter.com/jhutch1992/sta…
— Josh Hutcherson (@jhutch1992) September 5, 2012
To say this image is making our late-afternoon tummies growl would be an understatement. No word yet on whether this is part of a special bulking up diet for the second installment in "The Hunger Games" film franchise, but if this delectable dish is wrong, we don't want to be right.
Would you eat a doughnut burger with Josh? What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? Sound off in the comments and on Twitter!
Переслать - David Slade In Talks To Direct Adaptation Of 'Matched'
David Slade is considering a return to young-adult world to adapt Ally Condie's hit novel "Matched."
It's been two years since Disney picked up the rights to the YA book, but finally we have some movement on it. Deadline is reporting that David is in talks to helm the project, which takes place in a dystopian world where there is no free will and all major life decisions are dictated by The Society. We, of course, love David best for his take on "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" (my personal favorite of the four "Twilight" films thus far), and it's exciting to see him pick such an awesome novel to herald his return to the genre.
Though the "30 Days of Night" director is best known for his grittier work, he seemed to understand how to balance action scenes with the romantic tension between Bella and suitors Edward and Jacob in "Eclipse"—a concept not every director successfully grasps, all of which means we have high hopes for "Matched." We already know that "Matched" has the love triangle, but it is interesting that David took on a project that doesn't have that much action. But who doesn't love a good dystopian novel?
It's worth noting that we have only two months and eight days to wait until the third and final novel in Ally's trilogy, "Reached," comes out. Finally, finally we'll get to find out who Cassia will choose.
Do you think David Slade is a good fit for "Matched"? Tell us in the comments section below or on Twitter!
