It's been two and a half weeks since the "Top Gun" director died, and we've been reeling from his loss ever since. Some more tech-savvy people than us have put together a wonderful nine-minute-long tribute to Scott's career, and it helps remind us of all the wonderful films he created as a director.

Переслать - Daniel Craig May Be Bond For At Least Two More Films
A few months out from "Skyfall," the James Bond franchise seems pretty safe in the hands of current leading man Daniel Craig, and if a new report is accurate, things may stay this way for quite a while.
Bond fan site MI6 is reporting that Craig has signed on for at least two more movies as agent 007.
Not only that, but MI6 also got word that EON Production, the studio behind the films, is looking to speed up the production cycle, getting back to two years between installments. That would put Bond 24 in 2014 and Bond 25 in 2016.
"Skyfall" will be the first series installment in 4 years due to financial troubles at MGM, but people close to production have claimed that the delay only helped the newest film.
"Skyfall" opens on November 9.
Are you happy to hear Daniel Craig may be around for two more Bond films? Let us know in the comments below and on Twitter!
Переслать - Leatherface Returns For 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D' In Horror Bites
The fine folks at Shock Till You Drop snagged the first look at Leatherface in the upcoming "Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D." It's not his face we're actually looking at, but the pictures makes up for that by giving the mute madman a chainsaw. We'll take it. Trey Songz, horror vet Bill Moseley, and Alexandra Daddario are just a few of the names appearing in the seventh installment of the killer franchise. This one is a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper's classic 1974 movie that follows a young woman and her friends through Texas as she attempts to collect an inheritance. Eventually she uncovers the link to a disturbing family connection. You can watch the chilling family reunion when "Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D" makes its way to theaters on January 4.

'Scary Movie 5' Locks Down Cast and Starts Production
Does the world need another "Scary Movie"? Well, we're getting one whether we like it or not. The cash grab otherwise known as "Scary Movie 5" has started production, and Bloody Disgusting had the low-down on casting. "High School Musical's" Ashley Tisdale will star, along with Terry Crews, Marisa Saks, Erica Ash, and Lindsay Lohan. Returning to the franchise are Charlie Sheen, Simon Rex, and Molly Shannon. Kevin Hart will not be making an appearance as previously reported, but comedian Roland "Lil Duval" Powell has joined the team. This time around, the "Scary Movie" crew will be spoofing "Black Swan," "Paranormal Activity," "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," and "127 Hours." See the spooky antics on April 19 when the movie hits theaters. Will you be there with ticket in hand?'Curse of Chucky' Heading Our Way Soon
We've missed Chucky, so it's great to hear that the devilish doll with a taste for blood and bad humor will be getting more screen time soon. "Curse of Chucky" started production yesterday in Canada and will be directed by Don Mancini — the "Child's Play" franchise creator who has had a hand in making all the films and directed "Seed of Chucky." The film follows Fiona Dourif's Nica who is grieving over the gruesome suicide of her mother, but her mourning is interrupted by bossy big sister Barb (Danielle Bisutti). "As the sisters butt heads over Nica's plans for the future, Barb's young daughter comforts herself with a grinning, red-haired talking doll named Chucky (voiced again by Brad Dourif) that recently arrived mysteriously in the mail." Apparently serial killer Charles Lee Ray has some unfinished business to attend to. We're delighted to see that Dourif will be voicing the mini monster again. How about you?Lionsgate Captures a 'Lovely Monster'
While Lionsgate figures out what's going on with the "Saw" franchise, they're shopping for fresh meat to mine for a new terror flick. It looks like they've stumbled upon Francesco Calabrese's short film, "Lovely Monster." Variety reports that the company is in negotiations for rights that will allow them to create a feature-length adaptation of the director's horror short, à la "District 9." The film follows a young woman battling a rare and lethal illness that transforms her into a monster. You can watch the entire movie over here, and leave us your feedback on the film below. Stay tuned for more as we get it.'Frankenstein' Remake Gets New Director
Fox's Frankenstein project has hit a minor setback, but "Lucky Number Slevin" director Paul McGuigan — who is currently in talks to take over the classic fright film remake — could rectify that. Shawn Levy left the project, but Fox swooped in quickly to pick up new talent. According to Variety, they want to move quickly on the Max Landis-written thriller based on Mary Shelley's gothic horror novel, because there's a horde of Frankenstein films ambling all over Hollywood. We can't wait to see where this one goes. Stay tuned here for updates.Переслать - Toronto Film Festival Opens Oscar Season
We've seen the awards buzz swell in the past few weeks with Venice, Telluride, and now Toronto, so the folks over at Film.com have broken down the high-profile TIFF entries to see which has the greatest potential to score Oscar gold come February.
Chief among the candidates has to be Paul Thomas Anderson's "The Master," which is currently looking like a lock for Best Picture, Director, and Original Screenplay. Then you have to factor in Philip Seymour Hoffman, Joaquin Phoenix, and Amy Adams, who have all received acclaims for their work.
Head over to Film.com to see the full list.
Переслать - New 'Hobbit' Image Reveals Mysterious New Pig Character
Despite being one of the most anticipated movies of the year, "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" has kept many of its secrets close to its tiny wool vest. The latest image, however, reveals the pig character that we didn't know we didn't know about.
The picture comes from Entertainment Weekly's Fall Movie Preview and features Martin Freeman as the titular hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, as he rushes out of his house and tries to catch up with the party of elves.
There is supposedly a new trailer on the way, hopefully one that does more than make the first trailer PG-friendly, again.
"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" opens in theaters on December 14.
Переслать - 'Cloud Atlas' Trailer: Everything Is Connected
"Cloud Atlas" wowed audiences with its first preview, an extra long trailer that took its time introducing the six, interconnected stories. Now a new theatrical trailer boils that down and focuses on the theme that will run throughout the movie.
The topic was partially covered in the recent New Yorker profile on the Wachowskis (which is definitely worth a read). As you've probably heard, the actors in "Cloud Atlas" will play different characters throughout the separate stories, each having some tenuous, and maybe spiritual, connection to the rest of the film.
The whole thing looks stunning, so you should definitely take a look at the full theatrical trailer after the jump!
(via iTunes Trailers)
Official Synopsis:
Starring Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, Ben Whishaw, James D'Arcy, Xun Zhou, Keith David, David Gyasi, Susan Sarandon and Hugh Grant, the film explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future. Action, mystery and romance weave dramatically through the story as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution in the distant future.
"Cloud Atlas" opens on October 26.

Переслать - 'Christmas Story 2' Trailer Will Ruin Your Day
Some people would say that starting your day with a trailer that attempts to destroy any fond memories you have for a holiday classic is the only way.
Luckily for you, there is this new trailer for "A Christmas Story 2," a continuation of the adventures of Ralphie, which just reeks of a poorly thought out cash-in.
You can watch in sadness after the jump.

There's an angry werewolf. There's Alice seeing a not-so-great future for her brother and sister-in-law. And, of course, there's Bella and Edward, doing whatever they can to save their daughter Renesmee. What more could a "Twilight" fan ask for? Well, maybe for the entire movie to show during the VMAs instead of just a trailer, but beggars can't be choosers.
