  • Here's A Supercut Of Bruce Willis Looking Confused

    FROM FILM.COM

We all know that Bruce Willis plays a badass in most of his movies, but did you ever notice how it usually takes him a while to figure out what's going on in the skyscraper besieged by terrorists or in some alternate timeline?

In honor of this week's "Looper," the folks over at Film.com have made a supercut of all the times Bruce Willis looks confused in movies, and that happens pretty often.

"Looper" opens in theaters on September 28.

  • Exclusive 'Seven Psychopaths' Clip: Colin Farrell Steals The Wrong Pooch

"Seven Psychopaths," the latest film from Irish playwright-turned-director Martin McDonagh, teaches a valuable lesson to any of the would-be dognappers out there: If you're going to go around stealing pets from people, make sure the Shih Tzu doesn't belong to a crime boss.

In this exclusive clip from "Seven Psychopaths," which won the People's Choice Midnight Madness Award earlier this month at the Toronto International Film Festival, Colin Farrell, Christopher Walken and Sam Rockwell learn that lesson, only after making a bit of a mess.

Farrell leads the pack of titular psychopaths as a screenwriter, whose friends drag him into a dognapping ring that preys on the wrong pooch. Woody Harrelson plays Charles Costello, a gangster and spurned dog owner, desperate to get back his pet.

The scene sampled in the clip takes place soon after Farrell's, Walken's and Rockwell's characters find themselves in possession of Bonny, Costello's beloved Shih Tzu. Farrell arrives home covered in blood and vomit (his puke, not his blood) with Bonny in tow. The trio take a breath to figure out what's going on and if the dog, whose collar reads "Return to Charles Costello or you will die," belongs to the gangster.

This insanity only sets up the rest of the craziness, so expect things to get even darker and more out of control from there.

"Seven Psychopaths" marks the second feature film from the Academy Award-winning director. His first film, "In Bruges," earned him an Oscar nomination and Farrell a Golden Globe win for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical.

"Seven Psychopaths" opens October 12 and also stars Abbie Cornish, Olga Kurylenko and Tom Waits.

Check out everything we've got on "Seven Psychopaths."

  • 'Sherlock Holmes 3' More 'When' Than 'If,' According To Jude Law

The sheer mass of Sherlock Holmes-based material hasn't seemed to slow down the current big screen team behind the famous detective and Dr. Watson. MTV News caught up with Jude Law during the Toronto International Film Festival, where he was promoting his new film with Joe Wright, "Anna Karenina," to talk about the next installment.

"We were already, as with the first one, talking about the second," Law said. "On the second, we were talking about ideas for the third and where we could go.

The actor spoke fondly of the team behind the films and their passion for the material. From the way he talks about the series, it seems like "Holmes 3" is a foregone conclusion.

"There's a real team there, a real passionate team to get on and really enjoy each other's company and also are happy the world has embraced our take on that wonderful duo," Law said. "We've got lots of ideas. I think there's a script being played, toyed around with. Robert is busy saving the world in other ways, and I'm doing my thing. It's a matter of 'when' not 'if,' I think."

But where do they go for a third "Holmes"? Law said there are many possibilities, but he wouldn't get too specific. "We want to raise the bar. We don't want to throw too much at it because then it becomes gaudy. We want to look at what works, and we also want to keep it fresh and exciting," he said. "The good news is, you look back at the tome of work that Conan Doyle did and there are so many possibilities of what you can interweave and what you can use. I don't know. I'm not going to give anything away."

  • Ashton Kutcher As Steve Jobs: You Will Be 'Blown Away'

By now, you've probably seen photos of an unshaven Ashton Kutcher with his hair grown out long and wearing a turtleneck from the set of "jOBS," the upcoming biopic about the Apple founder.

Some people scoffed at the idea of the actor, who usually plays a buffoon, taking on one of the great technological pioneers, but according to Josh Gad, Kutcher's co-star who plays Job's partner, Steve Wozniak, audiences have no idea what is coming their way.

"We wrapped production on 'jOBS,' and I think it's going to be a really great film," Gad told MTV News during the Toronto International Film Festival. "I think people are going to be blown away by Ashton Kutcher. He has completely immersed himself in this role. It's kind of frightening how amazing the similarities are."

"jOBS" is expected to hit sometime next year and will tell the story of Jobs' begins to his success and ascension to an icon.

  • Seth Rogen And Barbara Streisand Prepare For The 'Guilt Trip'

    Rogen

Though the idea of pairing Seth Rogen with Barbara Streisand might at first glance seem like a strange one, it turns out that these two are actually a match made in heaven. The duo plays a mother and son in the new comedy "The Guilt Trip," and the first clip from the film proves that these two do that relationship justice.

The scene in question sets up the basic premise for the movie: Rogen is an inventor who invites his mother, played by Streisand, to join him on a cross-country road trip to try to sell his new creation. His real motive for bringing her, though, is to try to reunite her with her lost love. Hilarity and plenty of guilt-tripping are sure to ensue from that point on.

"The Proposal" helmer Anne Fletcher is directing the movie based on a script written by Dan Fogelman (yes, the same man who inspired Fogel in "Superbad"). That pairing is almost as exciting as Rogen and Streisand's, but we're equally as thrilled about the movie's supporting cast. Adam Scott, Yvonne Strahovski, Colin Hanks, Danny Pudi and Dale Dickey round out the film, and if that's not an ensemble then we don't know what is.

During our recent conversation with Ari Graynor, we discovered that the actress -- who also has a small role in the movie -- is more excited to see it than pretty much anyone else in the world.

"I can't talk too much about it, but I will just say that being in the same zip code as Barbra Streisand is like you know… There isn't a bigger dream come true," she said. "It was really exciting. The script for that movie is genius. It's a road trip movie with Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand as son and mother. Like what could be better? Literally nothing, that the answer. Nothing could better."

"The Guilt Trip" comes out on December 25.

  • Emily Blunt, Queen Of All Sci-Fi, Takes The After Hours Challenge

Everyone knows that it takes starring in at least three sci-fi movies before you can consider yourself king or queen of the genre. With last year's "The Adjustment Bureau," this week's "Looper," and next year's "All You Need Is Kill," Emily Blunt finally qualifies for the title, but can she defend it?

MTV News' Josh Horowitz puts Blunt's status as the newly crowned queen of sci-fi to the test with a series of questions. Suffice it to say, she doesn't do so well. To be fair, some of those are pretty difficult questions, but we expect a little bit better from the queen of sci-fi.

But seriously, she needs to watch "Firefly" now.

"Looper" opens in theaters on Friday, September 28.

  • Coen Brothers Say 'You Betcha' To 'Fargo' Series For FX

    Fargo

"Fargo" is going to get new life on television with the help of creators Joel and Ethan Coen. The Oscar-winning comedic crime flick is going to be loosely adapted into an hour-long project for FX, Deadline reports.

FX has proved it can handle a variety of edgy subjects with shows like "Sons of Anarchy," "The Shield" and even "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," so the network does seem like a natural home for a "Fargo" TV series. The fact that the Coen Brothers will act as executive producers only helps solidify the series' legitimacy, making us hesitant to write it off up front.

This isn't the first time someone has tried to adapt the 1996 movie for the small screen. Kathy Bates directed a pilot based on the film back in 2003 that starred Edie Falco. It was done without the Coen's blessing, and it never got picked up.

Considering today's television climate, though, we'd think a "Fargo" series would be very much at home. The successes of cable dramas like "The Sopranos," "Breaking Bad" and "Dexter" show that there is a demand for richly developed worlds that delve into the wrong side of the law without glorifying it.

That would perfectly describe "Fargo," with its Minnesota and North Dakota setting and colorful cast of characters. We'd guess that the show would continue to be set in Fargo but would include different crimes, murders and woodchippers than the ones in the film, which—considering the fact it's been 16 years since "Fargo" was released—actually is a concept that could work.

No word yet on when the pilot will go into production, but we'll keep our skepticism at bay until we see something official from this project. Noah Hawley will write and executive produce the series.

  • When Thor Met Catwoman: Anne Hathaway Rumored For 'Robopocalypse' Lead

    Robopocalypse

    By Colin Greten

The adaptation of Daniel H. Wilson's science fiction novel, "Robopocalypse" is not set to be released until 2014, but the film is already starting to get attention. Steven Spielberg has already signed on to direct and produce the DreamWorks feature, in which robots take over a computer-dependent society in the near future.

Film executive Tom Rothman has also been announced as a producer by a DreamWorks press release yesterday (via Deadline), after he resigned as Fox Filmed Entertainment's Co-Chairman and CEO last week.

Although Rothman is a big name in the Hollywood ranks, news that has fans excited is the rumor that Anne Hathaway is now the frontrunner to play the female lead alongside the already attached Chris Hemsworth ("Thor").

DreamWorks did not confirm the Hathaway speculation, but it is rumored that she is Spielberg's top choice to play the part. After doing mostly romantic comedies and serious dramas, Hathaway proved her versatility in playing Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, in last summer's action packed "The Dark Knight Rises."

Although "Robopocalypse" promises to be just as action packed, until it is officially announced, Hathaway's involvement is still just speculation at this point. Stay tuned for more developments as the film's production gets closer.

"Robopocalypse" is currently scheduled for a April 25, 2014 release.

  • 'The Hobbit' Toy Box Reveals First Look At Evangeline Lilly's Character

    Evangeline Lilly Hobbit

At long last we have our first look at Evangeline Lilly as Tauriel in "The Hobbit," but it comes from from a rather unlikely source.

Some of the first toys and collectibles from "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" have begun to be released, and TheOneRing.net stopped by Toys"R"Us to check them out. Lilly's likeness as Tauriel was one of the images teased on the boxed sets available, and a package featuring figurines of both Tauriel and Orlando Bloom's Legolas implies that the two characters' roles will be entwined.

Like Liv Tyler before her, Lilly seems to be perfectly suited for her Elven garb and look. We have yet to see Tauriel in action in any of "The Hobbit" trailers, but we've been excited about her involvement in the movie ever since the "Lost" actress was first announced as a cast member. The inclusion of Tauriel has sparked some anger in the "Lord of the Rings" fan community because she is a character created by "The Hobbit" screenwriters and isn't from J.R.R. Tolkien's stories.

TheOneRing.net posits that Tauriel and Legolas might not appear in "An Unexpected Journey," even though these toys have been released in conjunction with the movie's release. The site explains that the merchandising line-up was decided before director Peter Jackson announced he would make three "The Hobbit" movies instead of two, and that Tauriel and Legolas's scenes actually might have been bumped back to "The Desolation of Smaug" after they were originally planned to appear in "An Unexpected Journey." If that's the case, these toys could be considered some serious collectibles.

"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" is due in theaters on December 14, 2012. "The Desolation of Smaug" will hit theaters on December 13, 2013 with "There and Back Again" following on July 18, 2014.
