- Julie Kagawa's 'Immortal Rules' Gets Some Hollywood Love
We've been crushing hard on the first book in Julie Kagawa's upcoming "Blood of Eden" series ever since we first revealed the creepy-sexy cover back in December—and the good news for this dystopian vampire drama just keeps getting better! The trilogy of titles kicks off with "The Immortal Rules" next week, but Palomar Pictures didn't wait around for the official release date; the movie studio has snapped up rights to the whole entire thing, with much excitement on the part of principal Joni Sighvatsson (also known as the producer behind "Killer Elite").
The story of a recently turned vampire who, in her pre-fanged life, was part of a small group of revolutionaries intent on eradicating the dominant race of bloodsucking fiends from the face of the earth, "Immortal Rules" has all the elements that make for a perfect book-to-film transition: supernatural battles, personal struggles, a post-apocalyptic setting and lots and lots of bold and bloody action that'll look simply marvelous on screen.
And while it's too early to know when and how the series will make its way into a cinematic format, it's never too early to start wondering which leading lady will land the sure-to-be-sought-after role of heroine Allie. Which we're going to start doing, right about...now.
Are you already dying to see the eventual "Immortal Rules" movie?
Переслать - 'Magic Mike' Trailer: Channing Tatum Puts On One Hell Of A Show
Do you hear that? That is the sound of a million women squeeing in unbridled ecstasy because the "Magic Mike" trailer is finally HEEEEERRRRRRREEEEEEE!
And this is one meaty tease of the highly anticipated, fleshtastic flick. The two-and-a-half minute clip opens with Mike (Channing Tatum) and his protege, The Kid (Alex Pettyfer), dressed as cops and busting a house party. But whoops! These aren't your regular serve-and-protect kind of police. Nope, they have something sharp they could stick you with. Huzzah! From there, we witness stripper Channing bust moves the like we haven't seen since his "Step Up" days. He rolls. He shimmies. He flips. And we love every sweaty second.
But as the title card so helpfully suggests, Mike wants something more. Namely, to craft hand-made furniture and romance The Kid's sister, Paige (Cody Horn). Can he find love in a hopeless place? (Or, at the very least, with Matthew McConaughey parading around in leather behind him?) We'll have to stuff our purses with ones and head to the theater June 29 to find out.
But in the meantime—and we don't want to sound ungrateful here, guys, cause you've done so much for us already—can the next trailer include at least a hint of Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer? We'll take a single butt cheek if we have to.

Переслать - The Jonas Brothers Remember Dick Clark
This gloomy weather reflects a tragic day with the passing of television icon Dick Clark. Ever since we were little, we can remember watching him take over the small screen in our living room every New Year's Eve. His endearing personality and lovable disposition touched the hearts of everyone in America.
You'll continue to be an inspiration to us all Dick Clark. Thanks for the amazing rockin years you were with us. You'll truly be missed
— Jonas Brothers (@JonasBrothers) April 18, 2012
Twitter is abuzz with the loss of the actor, including the Jonas Brothers who performed on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" back in 2008. As a staple presence in entertainment, Clark will be sorely missed by all and his memory will forever live on.
As Dick Clark would say himself in his famous departing catchphrase, "For now, Dick Clark...so long."
What's your favorite memory of the television icon? Let us know in the comments and on Twitter.
Переслать - Tribeca Film Festival: Our 6 Must-See Movies
It's spring in New York, which means another Tribeca Film Festival for us cinephiles. This is the 11th year of the movie festival founded by actor Robert De Niro and as always, the city is buzzing with excitement.
But with a huge list of films just waiting to be watched, which ones are worth seeing and which ones have your favorite stars? Don't worry, peeps. We've got you covered! We've compiled a list of the most Crush worthy guys and dolls in the must-see movies of the festival season. So, grab your popcorn and get ready to see Chris Colfer, James Franco, Felicity Jones and more steal the show!
Chris Colfer, "Struck By Lightning"
We think one of the coolest things about this film is that Chris is not only starring in it, but he penned the script too! "Struck by Lightning" follows Carson Phillips (Chris), a high school senior and promising journalist who cannot wait to escape his small town. In order to get into his dream college, he blackmails students in his school to help him with his literary magazine. This fun and playful comedy is sure to let the "Glee" star shine.Juno Temple, "Jack and Diane"
The young British actress will play Holly Robinson in this summer's highly anticipated "The Dark Knight Rises." But before she appears alongside the likes of Anne Hathaway and Christian Bale, she'll take the spotlight in "Jack and Diane." Juno plays the cheerful Diane who falls madly in love with Jack (Riley Keough). Their New York summer romance becomes problematic when Diane reveals she eventually has to leave the city for school in Europe. Jack immediately pushes her away, but as Diane tries to keep their relationship alive, she must also hide the violent visions she can't seem to shake.James Franco, "Francophrenia"
Student, artist, director, writer and, oh yeah, we almost forgot he's an actor. It's hard to keep track of James these days, but the festival will premiere the ever-talented heartthrob's latest venture, "Francophrenia" (or "Don't Kill Me, I Know Where the Baby Is"). Do we even have to mention he co-directed? You probably assumed that. The movie follows James behind-the-scenes as he filmed the soap opera "General Hospital." His co-director Ian Olds fit the material together to make a psychological thriller centering on James' paranoia.Felicity Jones, "Cheerful Weather for the Wedding"
"Cheerful Weather for the Wedding" is one of the must-see films of the festival. The year is 1932, Felicity plays Dolly, who hides in her bedroom the morning of her wedding, daydreaming of her previous summer. As family and friends begin to arrive, speculation stirs as to why Dolly is hiding away. And while her mother dashes around the house trying to tame the whispers, matters are made worse by the arrival of Dolly's best friend, Joseph. A love triangle? Count us in!Jamie Blackley, "While We Were Here"
While you may not have heard of Jamie yet, we're predicting big things are in store for the young actor. His previous credits include the teen show "Misfits," "London Boulevard" and the upcoming "Snow White and the Huntsman" with our beloved Kristen Stewart! But first, you can catch the British cutie alongside Kate Bosworth at Tribeca in "While We Were Here." Jamie plays Caleb, a young American living a secluded life on an island off the coast of Naples. When he meets Jane (Kate), he slowly unravels her world and makes her rethink her life as they begin an emotional affair.Abbie Cornish, "The Girl"
Our girl crush on Abbie came in the form of a "Sucker Punch." Her insanely kickass character made us want to jump straight into karate classes. The role inspired us, to say the least. We're happy to see Abbie taking on another uniquely inspiring role for the festival. In "The Girl," the starlet plays Ashley, an emotionally distressed single mother who loses custody of her son. Desperate to get her child back, she becomes a coyote&8212;a person who smuggles illegal immigrants in the U.S. It's risky, but since she lost her job, she has no other choice. The challenging yet rewarding experience forces her to accept her past and focus on her future.Which movie do you want to see? Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!
Переслать - 'Apt 23' Stars Break Down The 'B----' And Why You Shouldn't Trust Her
Krysten Ritter's small-screen, bad-girl persona Chloe, the "B----" in ABC's "Don't Trust The B---- In Apt 23," is pretty awesome to watch.
She should be totally hated upon thanks to her hard-to-forgive antics, which include making out with roommate June's fiancé, overcharging rent to buy designer handbags and tricking June into buying back an ottoman that has drugs sewed inside so that she can sell them. And that was all just in the pilot! Maybe she's unexpectedly easy to love because of her besties friendship with James Van Der Beek, played by James Van Der Beek.
Tonight the show's second episode airs, and it's filled with more bad behavior, in which Chloe does everything in her power to break nice-girl June's spirit and perky demeanor. But, could it be that she really, truly isn't that bad?
"The 'B' herself is a woman that does whatever the heck she wants without consequence," Dreama Walker (a.k.a. June) explained to Hollywood Crush. "She is assertive. She just doesn't care what the risk is that's involved. She is self-centered and she has a lot of fun."
While it sometimes seems that Chloe might have a good side, Krysten Ritter, who plays the troublemaker, insists that it just isn't what it seems. "Well, she's not terrible, if you ask me, she's fabulous and she's a psychopath, but she's a con artist but fabulous every day," she explained. "There's no soft side. There's moments where you see that she's doing [something] with the best intentions, but she's the 'B' through and through."
Given that the "B" stands for exactly what you think the "B" stands for, we were wondering if there are other "B" words that might describe their characters.
Dreama described Chloe's Bs in a fittingly Chloe kind of way: "Brains and best friend because she's probably a really good friend." Meanwhile Krysten channeled the pithy Chloe with these descriptors: "Bratty, ballsy."

Переслать - Which Nicholas Sparks Adaption Is Your Favorite?
It won't be long now before the movie adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' "The Lucky One" hits a theater near you—at which point the love-addled-but-gorgeously-muscled Iraq war veteran played by Zac Efron will claim his rightful place on the list of People In Movies You Wish You Could Actually Date. A list which is, let's be real, probably populated entirely by Nicholas Sparks characters, because Nicholas Sparks is a conniving villainous fiend who just wants you to know how very UNromantic your life is with the boyfriend he didn't make up in his wildly creative head. (Yeah, thanks, Nicholas. Thanks for the fact that no matter what we do, nobody is ever going to write us letters every day for a year and then make out with us in the rain and then love us forever and ever because Noah Calhoun is not real. It's not like that gave us unattainable expectations or anything.)
But much as we love to hate Nicholas Sparks, we love to love him, too, because the man's books are just so damnably adaptable for the screen! Which is why, over the past two decades, we've seen movie after movie featuring the words "based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks" on the poster—and why, while we wait for our New Fake Boyfriend Zac Efron to make his appearance in "The Lucky One," we're going back through all the films featuring Nicholas' stories to decide which is our favorite! And by ours, we mean yours. So c'mon, tell us: Which one of these tear-jerking, heart-breaking, relationship-comparison-inducing romance makes you the most crazy in the best possible way? Vote in our poll after the jump!
Переслать - 'Battleship' EXCLUSIVE Clip: Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard Are Unsinkably Hot
There are really only two things you need to know about this EXCLUSIVE "Battleship" clip, and they're named Taylor Kitsch and Alexander Skarsgård. The two hotties star as brothers in the alien invasion flick, which hits theaters May 18. And as part of our Summer Movie Preview week, we've nabbed a brand-new sneak peek, which finds Taylor celebrating his birthday with Alex's help. And, yes, Taylor's sporting Tim Riggins hair (Texas forever!). Model-turned-actress Brooklyn Decker also makes a tight-tank-top-wearing appearance, but we don't really care about her, right? I mean, it's Kitsch and Skarsgård. Together. If that's not enough to sear a reel of celluloid, I don't know what is.
If, for some inexplicable reason, this Bermuda Triangle of Hotness isn't enough to get your butt into a theater seat next month, Taylor spilled a few other reasons to see the flick.
"You don't know what to expect with 'Battleship,' especially when we team up, [director] Pete [Berg] and I, you're going to get a lot of laughs, guaranteed," he said. "And, of course, the action is going to speak for itself. It's huge."

Переслать - Has 'The Lucky One' Star Zac Efron Had Any Real-Life Nicholas Sparks Moments?
Sad truth: Movie stars aren't always as smooth in real life as the characters they portray on screen. Take Ryan Gosling in "Drive," for example. It's not like he actually wanders the city streets saving damsels in distress. I mean...uh...right? Anyway, when we caught up with "The Lucky One" stars Taylor Schilling and Zac Efron in anticipation of their romantic drama's release, we were curious as to whether Zac could recall any Nicholas Sparks-worthy moments of his own.
"I'm sure I've said some of those lines," Zac admitted. "They're probably worse—not as good as the ones he's [Sparks] written, but they were excellent in the moment."
"I'm sure they were great," Taylor chimed in. "I'm sure they worked in the moment."
"I feel like they were good," Zac replied.
But perhaps the more important question: Did any of Nicholas Sparks' fictional wooing inspire Zac? "Nick is such an impressive guy, so thoughtful, so intelligent. And he's also just really fun to be around," Zac enthused. "It's really nice to have him with us on this journey. I'm learning a lot from him. He's one of the most intelligent guys I know."
Okay, so we'll have to get back to you on whether Zac plans to incorporate whimsical rowboat rides or rain-drenched make-outs into his repertoire.
Click play on the video above to hear more from the stars of "The Lucky One," including what really tugs at Taylor's heartstrings.

Переслать - What To Expect When Anna Paquin Is Expecting? Three Preggo Plotlines For 'True Blood'!
The gossip lines are abuzz this morning with the just-announced news of Anna Paquin's pregnancy—a first for the actress, who's married to her "True Blood" co-star Stephen Moyer. Exciting! (Think the baby will be a supernatural?)
No due date has been announced yet, but Anna's timing couldn't be better—with season five mostly in the can and not premiering 'til June, she should have plenty of downtime to rest, relax and wait for the arrival of her little one... and, of course, to get back in shape post-birth for "True Blood"'s nudie scenes before filming picks up for season six. But since delays can happen and schedules can change, we thought it would be a good idea to err on the side of caution, and put together a few suggestions for next-season storylines that'll let the show work around its star's pregnancy! You're welcome, HBO. You can put our royalty check in the mail.
Plot No. 1: Preggo Faerie Princess
Did you know that faeries can reproduce asexually? Neither did anyone on "True Blood"...until Sookie wakes up with a bun in the oven. A bun that she made all by herself. A crash course in faerie biology ensues, as Sookie develops raging 3:00 a.m. cravings for pickled lightfruit and begins to grow a second, evil head! Meanwhile, Bon Temps is in an uproar: every male character on the series believes the baby is his, the Authority hatches a nefarious plan to kidnap Sookie and turn her into a one-woman Fae factory, and Lettie Mae and the Reverend Daniels catch wind of the impending birth and begin to worship the growing baby as the second coming of the Messiah. But the biggest twist comes in the season finale...when the newborn baby emerges from the room and immediately shapeshifts into a Feral Wereturkey.Plot No. 2: Two Men and a Baby
The much-hoped-for threesome between Sookie, Eric and Bill finally happens...and whoops, Sooks winds up pregnant! With the paternity of the baby in doubt, Eric and Bill engage in an ever-escalating battle to claim fatherhood (along with Sookie's affections), ultimately agreeing to settle their dispute with a fight to the True Death. However, their plans are foiled when Sookie goes into early labor and gives birth to twins—one of whom vaguely resembles Bill, and the other of whom is born with a full head of blonde hair and wearing a hoodie with the sleeves cut off.Plot No. 3: True Love Mates
After last season's torment and heartbreak, Sookie finally realizes that true love cannot be denied and reunites with Bill. The pair are finally married, and Sookie wakes up pregnant after a bout of bed-shattering honeymoon sex. But the happy event soon turns dark, when the rapidly-growing fetus begins to consume Sookie from the inside out, culminating in a horrifying delivery-room scene where her vampire husband has to chew the baby out of the...wait. Why does this sound so familiar? How would you work Anna's pregnancy into the "True Blood" storyline?
Переслать - 'Glee' Recap: 'Saturday Night Glee-ver'
"Glee" did the world a favor this week when it decided to use the soundtrack from "Saturday Night Fever" as the source of all this week's songs. The album is a true classic, and it made for one of the most deserved tribute episodes. The 45-minute episode packed in eight songs and nearly as many storylines, so buckle up. It's dancin' time.
The episode, titled "Saturday Night Glee-ver," began with a no-explanation musical number from Blaine, as they all should. It so happens that the theme for nationals this year is "vintage," because the competitive show choir association didn't feel like coming up with anything more creative than that. Will reminisced about the time he went all the way to nationals singing disco, so he decided that's what the New Directions are going to do. I guess no one told Will that disco died in 1979.
Alex from "The Glee Project" finally decided to show up in this episode. His character's name is Wade Adams, and he's a fan of Kurt and Mercedes'. Unfortunately, he's also a member of Vocal Adrenaline. Did I mention that he has a female alter-ego named Unique? Well, Wade does, and he wanted to break her out at regionals. Kurt and Mercedes didn't approve of the decision since they didn't see the audience accepting Unique's uniqueness. Sue, on the other hand, loved the idea, since she saw it as an opportunity to sabotage Vocal Adrenaline before nationals. Decisions, decisions.
The kids did not respond well to Will's disco-tastic suggestion, forcing him to turn to the newly nice (again) Sue. She tells Schue to make it a competition, since the glee kids love those. The result was a dance contest to "Night Fever" for a replica of John Travolta's suit from the movie. Schue violated the terms of fair contest and picked the three kids he thought needed the most help: Santana, Mercedes and Finn.
You see, they needed dreams. Will said that all high school kids need specific dreams to be successful, so he gave them the assignment to sing a "Saturday Night Fever" song and come up with a dream because "time's running out."
Mercedes went first. Her dream was "Mariah, Whitney, Aretha," so Will informed her that those aren't dreams; they're people. But Mercedes wouldn't listen. She wanted fame but was afraid that she was "the cream at McKinley" and "skim milk" outside. I'm not sure what dairy had to do with any of this.
Finn decided that after a week of considering it, L.A. isn't the place for him. Puck didn't take it super well, but told Finn that he has to find his dream now that he isn't coming with.
Santana revealed her dream to be famous, but didn't exactly specify what kind of fame she hoped for. Brittany wanted to help her girlfriend achieve her dream, so she did what most talentless people do for fame: make a sex tape. Naturally, the tape got around school and caused an intervention of sorts. Brittany's other idea was to get Santana into the University of Louisville on a full ride. (That was the second full scholarship of the season. Expect more to come since most television characters don't pay for college.)
The funniest line of the night came from an unexpected place. Finn went to the auditorium to meet Rachel because she tweeted out "Anyone who's engaged to me should come to the auditorium." (I have to assume that his Twitter handle is FrankenFinn82 and hers is Number1BerryFan.) Rachel told Finn that she had focused too much on her future and wanted to give Finn a chance. Together they met with Schue and Emma to discuss "football scholarships." Finn pretended to be excited, but threw away the brochures after leaving. As punishment, Schue forced Finn to watch "Saturday Night Fever," which fixed everything! He's going to be an actor, which is confusing because we've never seen Finn act.
Kurt and Mercedes traveled to regionals to stop Wade from performing as Unique, but he had already made up his mind. Unique went on stage and totally owned it, and basically ensured she'll make an appearance at nationals.
Sam had spent most of the episode shooting suggestive glances across the room at Mercedes, but finally revealed his master plan near the end of the episode. He uploaded her performance of "Disco Inferno" on to YouTube and made her internet famous, which is not as good as real famous.
The episode ended with Finn, Santana and Mercedes all getting white suits, because they all found their dreams, which is kind of a nice sentiment, until EVERYONE showed up wearing a suit at the end. Even Sue got one. Some prize that was!
Anyone have any idea where Quinn was? No one seemed concerned. She could have been trapped somewhere.
