  • Jorma Taccone On Spicing Up 'Girls'

Jorma TacconeWhile not much can top the awkward factor of the opening scene from last week's episode of "Girls," this week's chapter scales back the uncomfortable sex and replaces it with some saucy solo sex. Yep. That's not a spoiler, just a tease.

Speaking of teases, there's a new man on "Girls." An arrogant, self-obsessed young artist named Jonathan (played by the very likable and talented Jorma Taccone) who provides a welcome distraction/attraction for Marnie from her smothering, doormat of a boyfriend.

So what's Mr. Taccone up to on the show? MTV News recently caught up with the very busy writer/director and "SNL" Digital Short master to get a sneak peek of what to expect from his character and if there's anything to like about him.

"I think he's the coolest guy ever, that's how I was playing him," Jorma joked. "No I'm kidding. He's appropriately cocky and yet trying to be as appealing as he can be. He's a confident dude who wants to get in the head of women and take them to bed."

If Jorma's description makes the character sound like a d-bag, it's because he is. And yet there's still something hot and likable about him.

"It's funny because he's obviously a jaded New York artist guy who's looking for something new and different," Jorma explained. "He's always on to the next thing, wants to say the most surprising piece of conversation so that he can get his fix, kind of thing. That thing you do when you're bored, just trying to shock someone into saying something different because 'we have so little time on this earth, might as well try and be different while you can' sort of thing. I think that's the appeal in him in that he's different than [Marnie's] boyfriend. That guy is never going to say anything different and new, which is why she finds him attractive and he sort of knows that and plays on that."

Tune in to HBO on Sunday at 10:30 p.m. to see Jorma's turn on "Girls."

Are you excited for this week's episode?

  • 'Pretty Little Liars' Cast: Fun On Set

Our favorite starlets seem to be having a lot of fun in Rosewood. Ashley Benson tweeted a photo of her, Lucy Hale and Shay Mitchell looking très chic! We later learned they were on the set of "Pretty Little Liars" when Shay tweeted the same photo writing, "In character." We're especially loving Lucy's skull skirt reflecting the typical rock flavor of Aria's wardrobe. Do you think they'd let us do a set visit and raid the wardrobe closet?

Ashley later tweeted, "Music video shot by @shaymitch twitvid.com/TXNU0." The clip shows Ashley laughing and dancing around to a song on her cell phone while carrying an issue of Shape magazine. Director Shay gives Ashley some pointers shouting, "Turn around now." But after Ashley finishes her carefree grooves she calls cut. Could film-making be in the girls' futures?

    Until next time, Tweet Dreams!

  • Happy Birthday, Channing Tatum: Let's Celebrate By Fawning Over Your Pics!

The year of Channing Tatum continues as he turns 32 today! The success of "21 Jump Street" catapulted the actor into a wider spotlight this year as he added comedy to his repertoire. And while his career will continue to rise, we would like to take a moment on the anniversary of his birth to appreciate his other qualities—you know, the hunky ones.

We've said it before and we'll say it again: Hot. Damn. One look at Channing's bulging biceps, gorgeous hazel eyes and incredibly charming smile and we're a pile of mush on the floor—completely melted away by the sheer awe of his overwhelmingly hot presence. And for all of you who think we're over-exaggerating, you clearly have not seen the "Magic Mike" trailer.

Our present in honor of Channing's birthday is really for us, his adoring fans. While we impatiently wait to see him take it all of in his stripper flick, we've compiled his best photos for you to ogle over as you thank Mama Tatum for giving birth to a demigod (seriously, Channing gives Hercules and Theseus a run for their money). Without further ado, please click and enjoy!

  • 'Vampire Diaries' Cast Previews Tonight's 'Do Not Go Gently'

    by Ryan J. Downey

Executive producer Julie Plec told Hollywood Crush and a select handful of television press that she knows exactly how "The Vampire Diaries" will end someday.

During the writing process for season two, she and series co-creator Kevin Williamson sat in a hotel lobby and plotted the entire endgame. "Kevin and I came up with our end plan, sitting in the mall lobby of the W Midtown in Atlanta on a Sunday early in season two," she recalled. "We were tired, and stressed, and talked about the last moment of the show, the last character moments of the show, and both started to cry in the middle of the mall. We just felt like that was right. And so, assuming that he and I are both around...assuming that he and I are lucky enough to survive into season 20...then yeah. We know how we want it to end.

Steven R. McQueen, a.k.a. Mr. Jeremy Gilbert, was as curious as everyone else in the room about what's planned for "season 20," or whenever that will arrive.

"What happens?" he turned to ask Julie, with a smile. She didn't answer.

It was a lively and expressive Q&A session on The CW lot in Burbank, California, on Wednesday, which saw Julie chatting with press alongside Steven (Jeremy), Michael Trevino (Tyler), Candice Accola (Caroline) and Zach Roerig (Matt). The group talked in-depth about how this current season will conclude, where things will pickup next season (senior year of high school will stretch from this season into the next, for example) and of course, the show's central love triangle.

The CW hasn't officially renewed "The Vampire Diaries," but there's no real reason to fear.

"We've already started talking about season four," Julie said. "As they're all going through some pretty extraordinary changes in their own emotional lives, personal lives, romantic lives, and supernatural lives. They are making decisions about their future, and what that will bring."

We'll post plenty of that juicy material from the Q&A soon, but first, we've got to talk about tonight's action-packed and emotionally devastating episode, "Do Not Go Gentle." We've seen the episode and we can tell you that just about everyone has a chance to shine (including some fancy footwork at the school's 1920s themed decade dance) and there are major developments for Alaric, Esther, Klaus, Bonnie, Jeremy and others on the show as it careens toward the finale.

"Big Bad Vampire Daddy," offered Candice, in reference to the swinging theme of the decade dance. "Tyler is wearing a badass fedora," Michael pointed out.

"Episode 320, in which Tyler wears a badass fedora," added Julie, "Matt wields a shotgun."

"It's a rifle, actually," countered Matt. "It's a rifle, sorry!" Julie continued. "Matt wields a rifle, Jeremy brandishes a crossbow and the beautiful Caroline Forbes has found an excellent lipstick dress, fends off multiple suitors and waves her 'Stelena' flag."

Yes, Caroline will make her allegiance to Stelena clear; Jeremy would prefer his sister stops hanging out with vampires altogether; we learn the secret behind Alaric's problems with his ring and what exactly Esther has planned now that she's returned to stir the pot and go after the rest of the Originals anew.

Things heat up on emotional levels, as well. Tyler is back in town, and as we saw last week, he's not very happy about Klaus putting the moves on his girl. "What we've seen with Tyler is he's biting his tongue. Especially with this sire-bond that now has been broken. You know, enough's enough," Michael said. "I think in these last two episodes, if not next week's episode, we might see him take some action against Klaus—not follow his orders when it comes to Caroline."

"I love getting asked the question, 'Oh, Caroline and Klaus?'" Candice said, smiling. "She's made so many mistakes and fallen for the bad guy. This is the first time where she is staying true to her feelings and not getting caught up in the guy with the accent. She loves her high school boyfriend. The only thing is, in high school, how can you not think when someone is putting into your head thoughts...of these experiences you're going to have when you grow up and grow older... [It's] the idea that there's another world out there. Right now, she is fighting like hell to have a normal relationship with her boyfriend in high school. It's all she wants."

Tonight's episode will also see Bonnie and Jamie making out a little bit, Stefan and Elena making some emotionally heavy jokes about their past, Klaus trying (and failing) once again to remind Stefan of the glory days when he and "The Ripper" were great pals, a bunch of magic spells, those cool weapons and some bloodshed.

As with every episode, "Do Not Go Gently" puts the majority of the beloved Mystic Falls crew in harm's way. The mortal danger is always real, Julie reminded. "You have to have the risk that somebody can never be seen again. Otherwise, the death doesn't matter. Do we like telling people goodbye forever? No. As you've seen, we've sort of emotionally found a lot of different ways in our narrative to bring people back that we love, for better or for worse," she said. "There are going to be a lot of people [who], at one point or another, you're not going to be sure if they're going to make it to season four. Would I be so quick to write anyone's death sentence? No. But I definitely think that you have to have the risk that someone can never be seen again. This year is not without its emotional casualties."

  • First 'Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2' Images Are Here!

A month to the day after we sunk our teeth into the very first teaser trailer for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," Summit Entertainment has finally gifted us with the first set of stills from the highly anticipated finale. All together now: SQUEEEEEEE!

But! If you thought the celluloid first look was slight, these images will likely leave you burning with lust and desire for MORE. The first shows Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) looking rather pensive about something. We're not sure what that something is, but we can say with definite authority that it's something.

Next, there's Jacob (Taylor Lautner) shooting one of his trademark steely gazes. (I think this is what our English lit teacher would call a theme. Everyone is so concerned in these stills! Are Volutri afoot?)

So, yep, there they are. The first two images fresh from "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2." With seven months to go until the film hits theaters, we'll have to bide our time by printing these out life size and using them to stage our own performance of the closing chapters of Stephenie Meyer's saga. Your invitation to the production is already in the mail.

  • 'Five-Year Engagement' Star Jason Segel Is Terrified Of Breaking

We'd all agree bloopers are one of the best parts of owning a film on DVD, right? The behind-the-scenes footage provides laughs that are usually only available to those on set. But when you think about it, the reel is kind of misleading. Bloopers make it seem like laughing during a take is a welcomed interruption, but "Five-Year Engagement" leading man, Jason Segel, says otherwise.

"I'm terrified of breaking," Jason revealed. "Judd Apatow screamed at me once when I was very young on 'Freaks and Geeks.' I was laughing, and I was young, and looking back, he was just trying to scare me, but he said, 'Every time you break, it costs me thousands of dollars!' And since then, I'm terrified of breaking."

"Five-Year Engagement"'s talented ensemble of hilarious actors also includes Emily Blunt, Alison Brie and Chris Pratt, all of whom had to work to keep their composure. So, how do they do it?

Alison said her experience working "with a lot of funny people" on "Community" has helped her control the giggles. "I just stay in character—professional!" she jokes. "Look, I just think of really dark, morbid stuff. I don't want to tell you; it's going to make you depressed."

Meanwhile Emily said her jitters sometimes cause her to laugh at inappropriate times.

"I laugh at everything," she said. "I found myself laughing at my grandfather's funeral because I had that nervous energy where you're like, 'I don't know how to cope with it.' So, I think the more pressure I'm under from the cast and crew not to laugh, the more I'll undoubtedly laugh."

  • Josh Duhamel Eyes Role In Nicholas Sparks Adaptation 'Safe Haven'

With "The Lucky One" now out in theaters, it only makes sense that Hollywood's attention would turn to the all-important question...of which Nicholas Sparks novel should be given the big-screen treatment next. And according to Variety, your new Aspirational Nicholas Sparks Boyfriend will be—drumroll, please!—the widowed hottie father from the Southern-style romance "Safe Haven"!

Set in North Carolina, "Safe Haven" is the story of a woman who arrives unexpectedly in a small town where she knows no one—and where she remains lonely and unconnected until the love of a handsome widower with two small children tempts her to put down roots. (Prediction: She's trying to escape a mysterious and painful past which will nevertheless come back to haunt her just in time to interrupt her budding relationship with Local Guy. Are we right?)

Relativity Media is developing the movie with an eye toward a winter 2013 release, and Josh Duhamel is in talks to play the main man—although the film is still in search of a female lead after rumors of Keira Knightley being in talks for the role turned out to be...well, just rumors. But no doubt they'll pick someone infuriatingly perfect! (Rachel McAdams in "The Notebook," anyone?) And before you know it, the next Nicholas Sparks love story will be on its way to a theater near you. Which means that you might as well start apologizing to your boyfriend...oh, right about now.

  • 'Secret Circle' Star Shelley Hennig Talks Secret Sibling, Tonight's 'Traitor'

    Shelley Hennigby Ryan J. Downey

Last week, "The Secret Circle" unwrapped one of the biggest surprises of the season: the identity of the other Blackwell in the crew.

Cassie Blake's half-sister is none other than her one-time romantic rival, Diana. Shelley Hennig couldn't be more pleased about the revelation surrounding her character. Speaking to Hollywood Crush by phone, she also revealed how pleased she is with our longstanding use of the phrase "The Secret Sibling" in our blog.

"I like how you worded that, 'The Secret Sibling,'" she said with a chuckle. "That's amazing.

"I found out [about the revelation] a few days before we started shooting," she explained. "It wasn't something that had been circulating with the cast. I was shocked but I also didn't believe it. I wasn't convinced, but I was super-excited. It wasn't until we were actually shooting it that I was like, 'All right, it's for real!' Because they'll change things. We'll get a script and then it'll be completely different the next day. I was excited to have that happen and also to see [where it's going to go]."

The news wasn't a total shock to her, however, at least not on an intuitive level. "I was thinking it would make sense as to why Diana went to Cassie first after she and Adam broke up. There's a connection there. There's something undeniable between Cassie and Diana that we've explored since episode one. For me, it made sense."

What will Diana's immediate reaction be when things pick back up in tonight's new episode, "Traitor"? "Diana wants to find out if it's even true. She doesn't totally believe Cassie. She goes to Charles to get the answers. There's a great scene between Charles and Diana where she confronts him and she finds out more and whether Charles knew all along. There's some surprises on both ends. Charles tells her John Blackwell can't be trusted, which is why Diana has to tell the Circle what's going on. They want to use John Blackwell to save themselves, but Diana has new information. She wants to tread lightly, because if she comes in and tells them about John Blackwell's intentions, nobody will follow her. She has to show them slowly that what his intentions are are not what the Circle wants."

We've spent the entire series thinking that Cassie and Adam are fated to be together, whether that's a blessing or a curse, thanks to their bloodlines. Now that we know Diana shares a bloodline with Cassie, could that mean she is in fact fated to be with Adam herself? Not necessarily, Shelley pointed out. "I don't know how that works. I thought about that. But when Adam's father would talk about that, he would mean Cassie Blake—Blake, her mom's side. But who knows? I mean, I think Adam and Diana have their thing as well. So, who knows! I did think about it, like, 'Ooh, that's interesting!' Very incestuous here. I guess we'll see!"

Faye spent most of "Crystal" hoping that John Blackwell was her father, more or less coveting that Secret Sibling role. Fans have really taken an interest in the "Fayana" friendship both onscreen and off. So what will last week's revelation mean for those two in tonight's new episode, "Traitor," and beyond?

"That's a good question. I think Faye is going to be jealous that Diana is a Blackwell because all Faye wants is power. Who knows? I'm thinking season two here, but, maybe she'll try to convince Diana to tap into that dark magic so Faye can try to get a piece of it. But as of now, I think Faye is just jealous."

When "The Secret Circle" began, Diana was something of the de facto leader and moral compass of the group. In last week's episode, "Crystal," she started wanting a life outside of the Circle (thanks in no small part to a certain Australian boatman), just before Cassie said those three little words: "You're my sister."

"Diana was the one that convinced Cassie to be a part of [the Circle] and now Diana doesn't want to be. The role has reversed for her," Shelley said.

"It's about Diana trying to be normal but the obstacle is the life and death situations with the Circle and magic. Diana is just blindsided by Grant and the fact that he's just a normal—and not to mention, very good-looking—guy with an accent who has just kind of shown up in Chance Harbor. He's a great guy and maybe someone that she wants to pursue a relationship with. But what gets in the way, in the season finale and in 'Prom,' are the life and death situations of finding the crystals and protecting themselves. And also John Blackwell's intentions, which we find out are not good."

"Traitor" and "Prom," the next two episodes, are leading up to the climactic events of the season one finale, "Family," which is scheduled to air May 10. Tonight's episode will see Diana going to Charles, who she thought was her father, for answers. A life and death situation involving one of the crystals during prom will mess with Diana's love life once again. By the time we reach "Family," things will come to a head with the witch hunters as Blackwell pushes Cassie and Diana to get darker.

With the Secret Sibling revealed, a couple of big mysteries remain: What's the complete truth behind the events of 16 years ago, and when will people discover that Charles killed Cassie's mom back in episode one? "In the 'Prom' episode, Diana and Cassie team up to locate the crystals that Adam has uncloaked in the high school. With that, they find out more information about what happened 16 years ago to our parents and what John Blackwell's position in that was," Shelley revealed.

And as for Charles? "Charles starts to lose it. He starts to unravel. Diana is not sure if it's because he can't deal with the fact that I'm not his daughter or if there are other things going on. We'll definitely explore both of those."

What do you think of Diana being the Secret Sibling? How do you want to see that play out in the last few episodes of the season? Weigh in in the comments below and on Twitter!
