- Exclusive: Drake Has A 'Good' Feeling About Justin Bieber Collabo
Toronto MC talks up the Believe track 'Right Here' and details his plans to hit the studio after his Club Paradise Tour.
By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/drake/artist.jhtml">Drake</a> has a jam-packed schedule taking his <a href="/news/articles/1681570/drake-j-cole-waka-flocka-club-paradise-tour.jhtml">Club Paradise Tour</a> city to city, but the Toronto rap star still manages to find time to record, especially since he has a studio on his tour bus. Right after Club Paradise's last show in Boston, Massachusetts, Drizzy will begin recording new music, possibly for his next album.</P><P>"I'm really excited to start working on new music. I start like June 18," Drake told MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway when the two met backstage in <a href="/news/articles/1685366/drake-club-paradise-houston.jhtml">Houston</a> on May 17.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Drake Has Been Working On New Music With 40, Hit-Boy And Justin Bieber" id="vid:782382" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"I got a studio bus out here so me and 40 started working on a couple joints the other night. Just getting warmed up," he continued. "I did like the 'Amen' track for Meek [Mill] and I did 'No Lie' for 2Chainz."</P><P>Fans have already raved over Drizzy's performance on both <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/05/01/2-chainz-no-lie-drake-based-tru-story/">"No Lie"</a> and "Amen," which appears on the Philadelphia MC's recently released <a href="/news/articles/1684645/meek-mill-dream-chasers-2-mixtape.jhtml"><i>Dream Chasers 2</i> mixtape</a>. Still, the Young Money star has a few more collaborations that fans will hear in the coming weeks, one of them being French Montana's "Pop That."</P><P>"I'm on French Montana's single; me, him, Ross and Wayne, which is a crazy lineup," Drake said. "And then on <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a>'s record. I wrote a song for him as well."</P><P>At the time of the interview, Drake wasn't sure of the name of the Bieber record or if the song would even be included on Justin's upcoming <i>Believe</i> LP. "Awkward Justin Bieber moment," Drizzy joked after pondering the very slim chance that he wouldn't make the final cut. "Yeah, we'll see. It's a good song though; produced by Hit-Boy."</P><P>Well, Drake doesn't have to worry. On Monday, the Biebs unveiled his <a href="/news/articles/1685471/justin-bieber-believe-track-list.jhtml"><i>Believe</i> track list</a>, and his fellow Canadian does appear on the song "Right Here." We have no reason to doubt Drake's word about "Right Here," but we'll all will just have to wait until June 19 when <i>Believe</i> is released to finally hear it.</P><P><i>Are you excited to hear Justin and Drake's "Right Here"? But given that he was schooled on the road, the 18-year-old didn't have the pleasure of donning a cap and gown at an official graduation ceremony.</P><P>So when he stopped by <a href="http://ellen.warnerbros.com/" target="_blank">Ellen DeGeneres' talk show</a> on an episode airing Wednesday (May 23), the comedian attempted to rectify the situation.</P><P>Finally getting the chance to wear a gown and a custom-made cap that hovers over his hair so as not to muss it up, Bieber was handed a diploma by DeGeneres, who told the room, "Good afternoon. Today is an important day. It's Dollar Taco Day at the Warner Bros. cafeteria. We're here to honor the accomplishment of the Biebs, a great American who happens to be from Canada. Justin, you finally made it. You're graduating and I'm so proud of you. With his debut solo album still months away, the charismatic Atlanta MC has logged a ton of features for the likes of Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Young Jeezy, Big K.R.I.T. and Kreayshawn. In fact, Deuce has received so many feature calls he has decided to fall back so he can concentrate on his solo album — save for a few special requests, of course.</P><P>"Maybe a few crossover records," 2 Chainz told MTV News on Sunday during the Atlanta stop on Drake's Club Paradise Tour. "I just did something for Bieber; that should be interesting."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="2 Chainz Describes Working With Justin Bieber, Mac Miller" id="vid:782302" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Chainz wouldn't tell us exactly which song he recorded with <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a>, but on Tuesday night the Biebs spilled the beans over Twitter. "To celebrate the #BELIEVEtour coming ... I might need to drop this #BOYFRIENDremix @2Chainz @MacMiller," he <a href="http://twitter.com/justinbieber/status/205130937443418113" target="_blank">wrote</a>.</P><P>Mac responded with a tweet of his own, writing, "Uh oh," helping to build anticipation for the track.</P><P>No word on when Bieber plans to drop the "Boyfriend" remix, and what it will sound like is anyone's guess, but 2 Chainz assured us that he didn't have to tone down his trap rap to fit in with the baby-faced 18-year-old pop star. "I'm able to express myself in different ways, so I enjoy doin' different records like that and not just hip-hop records, so it's cool," he said.</P><P>After JB's remix comes out, it may be a while before fans hear any new rap collaborations from 2 Chainz, unless they are slated for his upcoming <i>Based on a T.R.U. Story,</i> which drops August 14. "It's not that I don't have ammunition for people — it's just that I want to focus on trying to make the album of the year," he said confidently. "That's something that I put out there, that's something that I'm striving to do, and so I may do features that make sense, something that's not in my genre, but I think I took care of all rap artists."</P><P>2 Chainz is rolling toward his highly anticipated LP, but on Tuesday he hit an unexpected bump in the road after he was arrested in New York's LaGuardia Airport after airport security found what they described as "brass knuckles" in the rapper's carry-on luggage. In an exclusive interview with MTV News, <a href="/news/articles/1685627/2-chainz-brass-knuckles-arrest.jhtml">2 Chainz explained</a> that what authorities called a weapon was actually a gold four-finger ring.</P><P>"They tried to assassinate my character, they tried to assassinate my swag," the rapper said after he was released from jail. Bieber will hit the road for a headlining tour in support of his fourth album on September 29 with a show in Glendale, Arizona, with fans who purchase tickets to the shows getting a chance to pre-order the disc. The "Believe" outing will hit 45 cities before wrapping up in Miami on January 26, 2013, with protégé Carly Rae Jepsen on board as the opening act for the entire run.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Justin Bieber Promises 'Believe' Tour Dates Will Drop Soon" id="vid:770752" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"There's a lot of fun stuff," Bieber <a href="/news/articles/1685500/justin-bieber-believe-tour.jhtml">promised earlier this week</a>

I think the tour's going to be really special. We got a lot of surprises."</P><P>The presale for the <a href="http://www.bieberfever.com/" target="_blank">Fan Club</a> will kick off on May 23, which gives diehards first crack at tickets and some exclusive merchandise. General public tickets will go on sale on June 2 in the U.S. (a day earlier for Canada). VIP packages will also be available, including premium seats, as well as potential meet-and-greet and photo opportunities with Bieber, autographed memorabilia, exclusive VIP merchandise and other perks. Also, $1 from each ticket will be donated to <a href="http://www.pencilsofpromise.org/" target="_blank">Pencils of Promise</a>, a charity that works to build schools and increase educational opportunities in the developing world, with a goal of building 15 schools around the world for needy children.</P><P>While he may be cooking up ways to surprise his fans on the road, Bieber was recently surprised when his video for <a href="/news/articles/1684454/justin-bieber-boyfriend-mature-video.jhtml">"Boyfriend"</a>
 broke a record for the <a href="/news/articles/1684600/justin-bieber-boyfriend-video-youtube.jhtml">most views in one day</a>
 on YouTube. "It's crazy," he said. "Hopefully it just keeps getting more views and more views. My fans are amazing. I'm very blessed."</P><P>Bieber just released the <a href="/news/articles/1685471/justin-bieber-believe-track-list.jhtml">track list</a>
 for <I>Believe</I>, confirming that duets with Drake, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean and Ludacris all made the album's final cut.
