- Star Spotting: T. Mills Chills Before Bamboozle
T. Mills chills while planning his Bamboozle domination this weekend!
We already really want to be T.Mills (we're very aware that we say that about everyone we talk about here), but seeing the MTV Push Artist chillin' like NBD before joining other acts performing at Bamboozle in New Jersey this weekend pretty much seals the deal -- bro is CON.FI.DENT! We want hang with T. so some of that tough guy ish rubs off on us. BRB, gonna draw some tattoos of his name on our face so we earn his affection.
The "Vans On" singer was snapped lounging like a boss in New Jersey likely counting down the seconds until he blows our minds during his Bamboozle performance this Sunday. Or maybe he's envisioning who'd he'd "gently like to woo" while wearing his Vans this weekend? But it's probably neither -- we bet he's thinking of all the new numbers he's gonna get after he JUMPS OUT OF AN EFFING AIRPLANE and skydives into the festival -- true story! Like we said, bro is BAD ASS.
Oh, and not to brag or anything, but T.'s hanging out with Buzzworthy all weekend. Not to be a tease, but more on that in the coming days...

Переслать - Stream Garbage's 'Live In NYC' Performance On MTV Hive!
Can we just talk about Garbage and how effing rad it is that they're back with a new album? A new album, Not Your Kind Of People, after seven years of no new tunes? Oh wait, Sam Lansky already did that for us. (See his latest Pop Think column, "Why I'm Obsessed With Garbage's New Album, 'Not Your Kind Of People,' And Why You Should Be, Too.") So instead I'll talk about MTV Hive's Garbage livestream as part of their "Live In NYC" series.
Shirley Manson & Co. will hit the stage for the first time in seven years (having lost not an ounce of their street cred) on May 22. Tune in to Hive's livestream to catch all of their new jams and hopefully some old favorites. And don't be ashamed if you pick up a box of red Feria before the show. The '90s can live on via your dye job despite what your boyfriend says!
+ Celebrate Garbage's new album and check out their "Live In NYC" livestream on May 22 at 9 p.m. ET on MTV Hive.
Переслать - Justin Bieber Dances Like A BAWSS At His Billboard Awards Rehearsal (VIDEO)
If Justin Bieber's performance of "Boyfriend" live on the season finale of "The Voice" is any indication, then the Biebs' performance of "Boyfriend" on this Sunday's Billboard Music Awards will also be a full-on display of bad-assery. Next level, people.
Earlier today Justin uploaded a new video to his viddy account, and let us just warn you: OMFG, Justin Bieber's moves are completely off the chain/may cause heart palpitations. (We're not even exaggerating this time.) Along with the video, JB tweeted, "rehearsal.
#FOCUSED." Yah, dawg, you're looking mad focused, having somehow upped your dance game to heights we never could have imagined. While rocking a fedora (yes, we said FEDORA), Justin and his troupe of dancers rehearse some insanely suave moves -- we see shoulder popping, hip-swaying and a healthy dose of gratuitous crotch grabbing. Justin Bieber ain't a kid anymore! He can dance provocatively if he wants to!Who knows what Sunday's Billboard Music Awards will bring, but we can absolutely guarantee that any contribution from Justin will be totally... swaggy. Go get your dance on, bro.

Переслать - Lady Gaga Poses With A VERY Devoted Fan In Taiwan (PHOTO)
Lady Gaga poses with the Taiwanese fan that waited 7 days to see her!
With all the LOLing we often do over Lady Gaga's many craaaazy outfits, we mostly just wanna hug the ish out of her (hopefully without getting meat juice all over ourselves in the process) -- especially when she takes time out of her INSANELY busy sched to pose with a devoted fan! Mother Monster is officially the most down-to-earth pop star there is... um, you know what we mean.
The "Edge Of Glory" singer shared a photo of herself hanging with the fan on Twitter along with a caption that explains the really amazing situation: "Me and the first fan to arrive at Taiwan BTW Ball. He waited 7 days switching off w friends so he could go to school." We already know that Gaga has a heart of rainbows (she did start the Born This Way Foundation), but taking a pic with the dude was the least Gaga could do. She's been experiencing tons of unsupportive mayhem while touring on the other side of the world, but the fact that this fan waited AN ENTIRE WEEK for Gaga's arrival is like, pure devotion -- we lose our patience just having to watch those annoying 30-second commercials before a clip plays on YouTube. #FirstWorldProblems

Переслать - Miley Cyrus Pranks Liam Hemsworth And Khloe Kardashian On 'Punk'd'! (VIDEO)
Watch out world, Miley Cyrus is on a punking spree!
Miley Cyrus seems like such a sweet girl. That is, of course, until she starts punking practically everyone she's ever met! In the latest episode of of MTV's "Punk'd," Miley gets her prank on, first by tricking her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, and then by totally fooling her pal, Khloe Kardashian!
Watch Miley Cyrus "punk" her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth and Khloe Kardashian after the jump.
We first told you about Miley's prank on Liam back in March, but we've now got the extended clip, and OMG, it's even worse than we could have ever imagined. As Miley and Liam walk to their car, she spots two butt-naked people chilling in her vehicle. Liam, a true manly man, gets totally pissed and starts arguing with a police officer who is reluctant to help. Things go from bad to worse when the two naked people stumble out of the car showing more body parts than anyone cared to see. Just as Liam looks like he's about to effing explode, Miley gently tells him that she's punk'd his ass... and she punk'd it good! Liam is understandably a little pissed, but then he kisses Miley and is all like, "What prank? Look at my hot girlfriend! I don't care about anything else."
Though Miley's first prank was a doozy, the girl still wasn't satisfied. Miley also felt compelled to punk the ish out of her pal, Khloe Kardashian. While Miley and Khloe are relaxing at home, a delivery man stops by and accidentally gets his "junk" stuck in the zipper of his pants. He's literally screaming and writhing in pain, all the while Khloe is trying to calm him down and uhhh, "reduce the swelling." Just as Khloe looks like she's about to faint, Miley tells her she's also been punk'd. Ms. Cyrus, you nasty!
+ Watch a clip of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth on "Punk'd," check out Miley punking Khloe Kardashian and watch "Punk'd" Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.
Переслать - New Song: Sean Kingston Featuring T.I., 'Back 2 Life (Live It Up)'
Sean Kingston is back, y'all!
Unfortunately, we all remember Sean Kingston's near fatal Jet Ski accident. Luckily, Sean has made a full recovery and is thankful to have lived through the harrowing ordeal. Cue Sean's latest record, a T.I.-assisted banger titled "Back 2 Life (Live It Up)," which, as you might have gathered, is Sean's way of giving thanks for life and reminding us not to take anything for granted.
Listen to Sean Kingston's "Back 2 Life (Live It Up)" after the jump.
Produced by Sean's longtime collaborator J.R. Rotem, Sean's new jam features a hefty sample from Soul II Soul's 1989 chart-topping hit "Back to Life (However Do You Want Me)." Set to a thumping, island-flavored beat, Sean's vocals sound as pristine as ever while he sings about living every moment as if it were your last: "But what don't kill me make me stronger/ I know it's gon' be alright/ So we celebrating tonight/ Yo, we celebrating love tonight/ The time is now/ Gotta make it count/ So before we die/ Let's go all out."
OK fine, mayyyybe Sean's lyrics are a bit on the cheesy side, but let's cut this dude a break. We're pretty sure living through a near-tragic Jet Ski accident entitles you to about two to three years of writing songs about living, being free, being happy and not missing out on any more moments in life. With that said, welcome back, dawg!

Переслать - Star Spotting: Kanye West And Kim Kardashian Being Adorable Again
Kimye are so nice to each other, we can't handle it.
It's a little disturbing just how happy I am for both Kim Kardashian and Kanye West regarding their romantic relationship. I seriously, SERIOUSLY feel like these two are deeply in love and should get married and have beautiful babies until the end of time. Kimye were spotted yesterday in London, probably on their way to some fabulous event, and Ye made sure he had a good grasp of Kim's hand. All together now: "Awwwww!"
Relationships are tricky and no one ever knows how things will end up, but fans will get a good look inside K + K's situation when Kanye makes some guest appearances on the upcoming season of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." Kim's been pretty mum about their dating scenario, so the new season of the show will give all of us curious minds a little insight into how their relationship is playing out. And according to her sister, Khloe, Kim is "so happy." Keep on keeping on, Kimye.

Переслать - Star Spotting: We're In Love With Katy Perry's 'Part Of Me 3-D' Movie Poster!
Katy Perry looks so adorable in her official 'Katy Perry: Part Of Me 3-D' movie poster!
Usually forking over the extra cash to see a movie in 3-D basically means paying extra money to wear some dorky glasses in the dark and maybe some semi-impressive special effects. (We know, our generation is so spoiled.) But Katy Perry's official poster for her new concert movie has us flipping the eff out about all the 3-D possibilities. Don't be surprised if you catch us trying to grab at the holograms attempting to steal Katy's outfits.
The "Firework" singer posted the "Katy Perry: Part Of Me 3-D" movie poster on Twitter along with the caption, "So happy to share with you the official
#KP3D movie poster...from a hairbrush to a headliner...get ready, JULY 5TH!" We're totally loving the whole "from the bedroom mirror to the stage spotlight" transition going on in the photo, but we're more happy to the see the poster highlighting Katy's peppier fashion days. We dug her latest goth look, but we just don't want people thinking they're about to watch a musical rendition of "The Craft" or something.Photo credit: @katyperry
Переслать - Why I'm Obsessed With Garbage's New Album, 'Not Your Kind Of People,' And Why You Should Be, Too
Oh hey! I'm Sam Lansky, music writer and arguably the least "rock and roll" person you'll ever meet. This is my column, Pop Think, which is getting an unusually edgy takeover this week (normally I write about Taylor Swift or Rihanna) as I succumb to my current musical obsession: The electro-alt-pop outfit Garbage, who are back in rare form with a new album, Not Your Kind Of People (out next week), and a higher-profile new space in the public consciousness than they've had in the better part of a decade.
Now, I may not have been a Garbage super-fan back in the day (I was only a wee lad when their self-titled album dropped back in 1995, and the follow-up, 1998's Version 2.0 was released just as I was developing a growing cognizance about music), but I had enough familiarity with their work to know that what they were doing was special: Version 2.0 remains one of my most listened-to albums ever, and the eventual follow up, 2001's Beautiful Garbage, was another album I loved. But hey, I'm a pop enthusiast at heart, and I could only play "When I Grow Up" so many times before I'd get distracted.
That's why it's such a joy to get to enjoy a few spins of their new album, which sounds perfectly poised between the riotous, guitar-driven pop-rock of the '90s and the sinister electro vibe of some dystopic future. Sound the alarm: This crunchy electro-rock record might just turn out to be my favorite pop album of the year.
As they step back into the spotlight with their fifth studio album, Garbage has already left a legacy on the current generation of performers that's inestimable: Katy Perry and Marina and the Diamonds claim frontwoman Shirley Manson as an influence, and Manson's known to have taken tastemaking chanteuse Sky Ferreira under her wing, helping to shape her sound. (This week, Sky tweeted, "My big sissy's new album is out!") But their genre-bending, influence-melding sound broke the monotony of '90s grunge and made it fresher and more breathlessly dense than their contemporaries had. Few others besides Garbage could maintain the delicate juggling act of innovation and risk-taking with the fundamental likability that gets music on the radio. Their fan base remains passionate -- so much so that their first NYC concert in seven years, coming up on May 22, sold out in seconds. (Thank the music gods that MTV Hive is streaming the concert live!)
Read more about Garbage's new album, Not Your Kind Of People, after the jump.
Because despite their alt-rock roots, Garbage has always maintained a pop sensibility that makes their songs tighter, hookier, and more compulsively replayable than much of what circulated on the radio in the '90s and beyond -- and on their latest record, Not Your Kind Of People, those tendencies are stronger than ever, with muscular production that showcases the sharpness of the songcraft rather than overwhelming it. But then, that's one of the things that characterized Garbage's reign over rock radio through the '90s and the early part of the last decade: While lesser artists expressed some rebellious, anti-establishment impulse through an entropic sound-garble, Garbage made supremely listenable pop music, then made it revolutionary with layers of distortion, a countercultural lyrical bent, and integrating wildly disparate sonic influences.
If the influences don't seem quite as broad in their scope on Not Your Kind Of People, that's because they're not: It's what Garbage has always done best, done better. The opening track, "Automatic Systematic Habit," is ragingly anthemic with its walls of squealing synths and Shirley Manson's husky, filtered vocals intoning, "Lies, lies, lies/ You love those lies!" while "Big Bright World" serves "When I Grow Up" realness with low drums leading into an explosive chorus. But maybe the best of all is the neo-psychedelia of the title track, with its big singalong refrain: "We are not your kind of people/ Don't want to be like you ever in our lives/ We are not your kind of people/ Find when you start talking, nothing but white noise." Coos of vocals fill up the production, a euphoric lighters-in-the-air moment that reminds me why they've always been so great.
And now with the changing nature of the pop marketplace, there's more space than ever for Garbage to find a new generation of fans and carve out a space among the other brilliant artists making searingly good pop. Before, in an industry flooded with acts trying to do what Garbage does so effortlessly, there was competition. Now, they're unrivaled, and we listeners get to reap the benefits.
