- New Video: Nicki Minaj Featuring Chris Brown, 'Right By My Side'
If you've ever wondered what it would be like to be in a relationship with Nicki Minaj, her new "Right By My Side" video (featuring Chris Brown) gives fans a pretty good idea. A Nicki boyfriend (played here by Nas!) would be responsible for gifting Nicki some posh-ass s***, like designer shopping sprees and expensive cars I can't identify. But she'll return the favor with a ton of slo-mo hair tossing. Fair trade, IMHO.
Director Benny Boom is really in love with the slo-mo effect, and we can't be that mad at it -- "Right By My Side" is a slow jam, y'all. Let's save the strobe lights for later. (Or for "Starships.") The clip opens as Nas starts loving up on Nicki hard: he buys her a new whip, he takes her shopping on a Rodeo Drive look-alike street, and then he just smokes a cigar on the hood of a car for a little bit. (Guys need their alone time, ladies. Don't smother them.) Chris Brown steps in for his verse, which is basically just him on a sound stage, and then the video ends and you're wondering if there was a story arc you missed. Nicki does look sad when she's seated alone out by the grotto or whatever, but we're not sure why -- she just got a bunch of new clothes! And a car! Silver lining, sister. Look for it.

You'd think with all the hoopla over Lady Gaga cancelling her latest Born This Way concert in Indonesia for being too, um, flashy, Mother Monster might hide under a hoodie for a while. Nope. Instead, Lady Gaga chaneled her inner Liberace and grabbed the loudest number she could find. This just in: There's a sudden shortage of bike reflectors in the world.
The "Marry The Night" singer was snapped strutting the terminal of a Japanese airport while sporting her brightest attire and equally stunning new fox blonde hair color. Let's be honest, we'd be pretty bored if Gaga wore baggy sweatpants like most airline travelers. But going through airport security in that get-up had to be annoying! Just imagine getting stuck behind her in the security line -- it would take her years to just get those boots off. Probably ANYTHING is better than having to sit next to Gaga on the plane while she wore that stinky meat dress. And you thought getting stuck near crying babies on flights was the only thing you had to worry about...

for the evening 'cause "MTV First: Usher" airs tonight, and you're really not going to want to miss it. The R&B MEGA GOD (just our humble opinion) is showing us exclusive performance footage from his new singles "Climax" and "Scream," shot exclusively by MTV News during a special album-listening experience with the off-Broadway show "Fuerza Bruta" in New York City. Oh yeah, and Ursh is also premiering his never-before-heard track, "Twisted," produced by Pharrell. We KNOW. We can't even handle this announcement and we work here.How can this event/our lives get any better? Not only will Usher introduce his exclusive goods and then dish in an all-access interview, but he's even going to answer your fan questions! Basically this may be the only time you'll be able to tweet him your ring finger size in hopes that he pops the question. (We actually don't suggest doing that -- it's kinda creepy... and we already tried it.)

Sixpence None the Richer is back and 'Radio'-bound.
We didn't realize it until right now, but we've been waiting for this new Sixpence None the Richer song since FOREVER. It's real! Take a deep breath! It's been 10 ridiculously long years since the band's last album and longer since "Kiss Me" won our hearts and soundtracked "Dawson's Creek" (in that order). But Sixpence jams are timeless, guys. On "Radio," the group's brand of guitar-pop and yearning melodies still sparkles like Katie Holmes' smile.

The track's a wise love song about memories of hitting the road and turning up the volume, but those youthful days have faded: "And now the radio plays that song/ I don't know if I can sing along," Leigh Nash croons. Nope, you're killing it, lady. The group's new album is also Nash and Matt Slocum's first full-length since the duo temporarily split in 2004, though they say they've patched things up: "We had a transition to go through. And now we have," Slocum says. Make it work, Sixpence! We and Katie (probably) are counting on you.
The band's Lost in Transition finds its way to release Aug. 7, just in time to help you out with your summer romance. Not that you don't have that totally nailed.

Ke$ha looked stunning at the BMI Pop Music Awards in Beverly Hills, CA.
OMFG, guys. For once, Ke$ha wasn't photographed glowing in glitter, bedazzling her head or sporting a yarn beard -- she actually went out in public looking like class! We are secretly begging her to stay this way forever 'cause we can't even handle how well she cleans up. Don't get us wrong, we totally love her whole free-sprited-IDGAF vibe she gives off on the regular, but can we all take a minute to imagine a world where craft supplies were just for paper again and not used as fashion accessories?
The "We R Who We R" singer was snapped attending the BMI Pop Music Awards in Beverly Hills yesterday, and we have to admit that when girl wants to, she can seriously dress to impress. That's the thing about Ke$ha: This pic proves yet again that you never (EVER) know what you're in for (i.e. her mooning incident), but that's why we love her. Also, this stunning photo is slowly allowing us to forgive her for that recent (and really gross) pee-in-public moment she shared on Twitter. We said "forgive"... not "forget."

T.I. has been hard at work on his eighth studio album, Trouble Man, and we've got the 411 on his latest single, "Like That." As a follow up to T.I.'s "Love This Life," "Like That" is a high-energy, uptempo rap banger that speaks to T.I.'s life and the toils of the rap game.

Produced by Lil C and Mars, "Like That" sounds totally hard-core, but we can also see it doing pretty well at radio. Lyrically, T.I. sounds kinda pissed while he contemplates the expectations placed upon him: "They want that super gutter ignorant/ That new ghetto belligerent/ Authentic grip flippin', dope boy trap."
In between filming his hit VH1 reality show "T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle," Tip's also making time to stop by our very own "RapFix Live" today at 4 p.m.! He'll sit down with Sway and talk about his upcoming album. Speaking of Trouble Man, T.I. told MTV News during an interview in January, "We got a lot of hot, old-school, vintage T.I. records on there... I'm talking like gutter, gangsta, intellectual ignorance, hard-core stadium s***. But at the same time, we got those over-the-top crossover records as well, big features and whatnot we plan on putting into play." Vintage T.I. plus gutter gangsta intellectual?

In what universe is it fair that Jennifer Lopez looks hotter than most women half her age? Not this one, but that's still the case. J. Lo scored a spread in the upcoming issue of Vogue showing off some killer bathing suits -- and whaddya know, just in time for bikini season! (Which is also known as "I will murder you if you put a delicious-looking carb in my vicinity" season. It's a dangerous couple of months.)
Here's what we're thinking -- since Jennifer Lopez is on the fence about returning as a judge on the next season of "American Idol," she can just quit her day job and become a swimsuit model. We don't know about you guys, but her photos in the Vogue spread are seriously not even heavily Photoshopped! Photoshopped a little, of course. But we can still see like, veins and other signs of human life on her body, meaning the woman is probably close to being this flawless. Ugh -- this marks the second time today that I wished that youth serum from "Death Becomes Her" was real.

Does Justin Bieber modeling menswear mean he's officially a man?
Sure, Justin Bieber might spend some of his time writing super mushy songs for his mom on Mother's Day, but let us not forget that this kid is still a mack. Thanks to the Biebs' new spread in GQ, I'm feeling really conflicted -- I'm not sure if I'm even allowed to think that Justin now looks like a male model, let alone wish he was my steady boyfriend.

Inside the issue, Justin comments on everything from partying hard to his views on Kim Kardashian. On going out and raging, JB explains, "For me, it's just like, I like to be in control of myself. I mean, I've had a beer, like, before…. But I never get out of control." We, like, believe you, Justin. On his famous pal and the leader of the Kardashian clan, JB defends her: "People say [Kim] doesn't do anything; she actually does do stuff…. She works hard." (Of course you'd say that JB -- you're the consummate gentleman).
In more breaking "Justin Bieber is now a grown-ass man" news, Justin recently tweeted a link to his Viddy account, directing fans to a clip of himself going FULL ON SHIRTLESS for a photo shoot. Not to be really stalkerish or whatever, but last time I checked, Justin did NOT have that kind of ab situation going on. Aaaand I'm gonna stop myself right there -- I don't wanna make anyone uncomfortable.

We love how humble Nick Jonas is. Even though this is like, the hottest photo of him ever taken, homeboy didn't upload it to Twitter himself -- he had his brother Joe do it. With the Jo Bros back in the studio working on a new record (!!!), we're sure plenty of photos like this one are being taken on an hourly basis. And raise your hand if you're totally OK with seeing each and every one of them...
Joe uploaded this photo of his little bro during their studio session to Twitter yesterday, tweeting, "Nick J slapping Da bass." While "Da" probably shouldn't have been capitalized, we're not here to nitpick: We're here to stare openmouthed at the wonder and glory that is (totally legal) Nick Jonas. Even though he won't be our neighbor anymore as his stint in "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" is coming to an end, we continue to thank the internet gods (Al Gore?) for the ability to still see him on a semi-regular basis. Oh, we thank Joe, too. Keep 'em coming, broseph.
