- Happy Birthday, America
You may be 236, but you're still the prettiest country of them all. I'd leave a birthday message on your Facebook wall if you had one.

Переслать - Star Spotting: Demi Lovato Face Plants Simon Cowell Into A Cake
Demi Lovato looks like she's about to give fellow 'X Factor' judge Simon Cowell a sugary facial!
OMG guys, we can't even with this pic of Demi Lovato pushing Simon Cowell's face into an "X Factor" cake! It's like, the girl has embodied every past "American Idol" contestants' frustration with Cowell's sassy criticisms and accomplished what they've always dreamed of! But is anyone else even kinda sad for the cake? We've spent mannny of our weekends watching "Cake Boss" marathons to know how stressful making a pretty pastry like that can be. Meh, who are we kidding -- this sacrifice was totally worth the EPIC payback!
The "Give Your Heart A Break" singer shared the HILARIOUS photo of her on the brink of sugar-smashing her fellow "X Factor" judge's face on her Twitter with the clever caption, "Getting along with @SimonCowell is a piece of cake!!! #RIFactor." OK, so we're not sure if she actually followed through with the whole face-plant (Um, Demi's like, THE SWEETEST... it's kinda hard to believe she'd hurt anyone's feelings -- even if the very opinionated Brit called her "catty!"), but this pic is totally going to fuel those infighting rumors on the show! We just enjoy imagining the whole scenario to be true. The girl is living every single 9-to-5 working chump's visions of what they'd all like to do to their own boss. Annnd just another reason for us to bow down to the AH-MAZINGNESS that is Demi Lovato.

Переслать - Watch We The Kings 'Party, Fun, Love & Radio' Lyric Video
We The Kings' 'Party, Fun, Love & Radio' is the perfect soundtrack to any and all Fourth of July festivities.
We The Kings just released their new Party, Fun, Love & Radio EP, and it's the ideal soundtrack to your upcoming Fourth of July rager. (And yes, you can still call it a "rager," even if your only plans include grilling Tofurkey burgers and rewatching every season of "Felicity.") Not only does We The Kings' new EP feature acoustic versions of "Say You Like Me," but it also includes the guys' club-ready new single "Party, Fun, Love & Radio." As if that weren't enough, they just dropped a baller lyric video, which basically doubles as a montage of We The Kings fans wilding out/a tutorial on how to be a full-on WTK Stan. Related: WTK have the most-dedicated fans in the entire universe, maybe with the exception of Beliebers. But it's pretty close.
So, before you head out for your Fourth of July BBQ and accidental home-sparkler accidents (ask me about that one later, still traumatized from last year, please be safe!) take a peek at We The Kings' "Party, Fun, Love & Radio" lyric video and see how true fans GET IT DONE!

Переслать - New Video: Christina Perri, 'Distance,' Featuring Jason Mraz
Christina Perri searches for Jason Mraz in their new video, 'Distance.'
Not only are Christina Perri and Jason Mraz teaming up for the U.S. leg of Jason's "Tour Is a Four-Letter Word" tour, but they're also teaming on their stunning new collaboration, "Distance," from her lovestrong. album. But then again, we tooootally coulda told you they'd create the type of song poignant enough to leave you blubbering and snot-crying into an empty pint of ice cream (or at least that was us after listening to Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" on repeat for an entire three-day weekend, but that's a story for another time), because that's just what happens when you add one amazing singer-songwriter to another amazing singer-songwriter and then throw in a video with hazy sunlight and a white dress.
In the gorgeous Elliott Sellers-directed video, Christina and Jason play lovers who are torn apart. Sadly, there's no hot bedroom scene (Come On! I know I wasn't the only one skipping ahead for it, but then again, I've just finished the entire "50 Shades Of Grey" trilogy, but that's a story for another time). There are a ton of sad faces and stolen glances, which work just as well. Symbolically, Christina and Jason are in the same house, yet they can't quite find each other. As Christina roams the property, she eventually stumbles upon a huge wall of photos and mementos that we're assuming remind her of Jason. In the same way Kelly Clarkson did in her "Mr. Know It All" clip, Christina dramatically rips the photos off the wall only to reveal -- wait for it -- a real live Jason, calmly strumming his guitar and waiting patiently for Christina to find him. The clip leaves us in suspense, but we totally think these two crazy kids should make a go of it! Plus, this video could totally double as the wedding montage movie that plays during the best man speech at the reception. Ugh. Now I'm totally getting choked up again...
Christina joins Jason Mraz's "Tour Is a Four-Letter Word" starting Aug. 9 in New Orleans.

Переслать - Pink, Cady Groves, Aiden Grimshaw + More: 5 Must-Hear Pop Songs Of The Week
It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week"!
Happy Almost Fourth of July, everybody! This week's roundup includes a killer comeback from one of pop's most reliable rebels, a rising pop-rock princess with a massive soon-to-be summer smash, and some chilly seduction from a former child of Destiny. Enjoy the tunes, and may your holiday be as colorful, nostalgic and as flaw-free as a Lana Del Rey video.
1.) Pink, "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)"
After tackling bullies and bleach blonde bimbos, pop's loud-haired rebel rocker (and new mommy!) Pink has returned to the musical forefront for another round of growling pop-rock with the Greg Kurstin-produced "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" -- and this time, it's her man who's under fire.
Gliding on top of a cool, marching guitar strum à la Modest Mouse's "Float On," Pink blows one last kiss (and a whole lot of hot air) on her explosively defiant, crashing pop-rock anthem that serves all sorts of Kelly Clarkson realness. "Just when it can't get worse, I've had a s*** day!/ You've had a s*** day! We've had a s*** day," Pink yelps. With its acid-tongued lyricism and just a teensy bit of name-calling, "Blow Me" is one of Pink's most scowling offerings in years. Welcome back, Pink! Please don't leave me.
+ LISTEN TO PINK, "BLOW ME (ONE LAST KISS)."
Listen to more Must-Hear Pop Songs Of The Week after the jump!
2.) Cady Groves, "Love Actually"
First, the bad news: No, this new Cady Groves banga has nothing to do with the 2003 flick of the same name--nor anything to do with Hugh Grant. (I know, I'm disappointed too.) Now for the good: The song is absolutely AMAZING ... like WHOAAAA!
After unleashing her deliciously devious "This Little Girl" in the latter half of 2011, the 21-year-old Oklahoma singer-songwriter returns this summer to serve up a major power-pop punch with "Love Actually." With melodies for days (weeks, even!), irresponsibly catchy yelping ("LUH-uh-UH-uh-UHV actually") and a chorus that simply will not quit, "Love Actually" is actually destined to be one of the defining songs of Summer 2012. "So what, we did everything wrong/ You know that it was really love actually," she pleads. Girl never met a hook she didn't like -- err love, actually.
+ LISTEN TO CADY GROVES, "LOVE ACTUALLY."
3.) Kelly Rowland featuring Lil Wayne, "Ice"
Fact: When Kelly Rowland and Lil Wayne get together, things get steamy -- and chilly. (Hot as ice, if you will.) Last year, the two slow-grinded their way onto radio with the deliciously chilly "Motivation." Now they've reunited, and the feelings haven't changed much: "Ice" is a sexy, slow burn, as the former Destiny's Child diva takes a cube of ice and, um, does a lot of things before Wayne comes in to lay down a verse. "Take the ice cube/ sit it right below my navel/ and watch what I do after/That's my favorite angle," Rowland teases. Sweat dripping? Ice melting? I don't know exactly what's happening, but someone's going to need a towel.
+ LISTEN TO KELLY ROWLAND FEATURING LIL WAYNE, "ICE."
4.) Aiden Grimshaw, "Curtain Call"
After releasing his storming, electric lead single "Is This Love?" last month, "X Factor UK" finalist and/or professional brooding dreamboat Aiden Grimshaw returns with "Curtain Call," the second offering from his upcoming debut record, Misty Eye. "Don't let time be wasted, let your heart dictate this/Take my hand and follow, lose control with me tonight," Grimshaw requests on the slow-tripping soulful number. The song plays somewhere in between a massive Robbie Williams anthem, a lonely sea shanty and just a hint of the sexy styling of Robin Thicke. It's a total win, all around.
+ LISTEN TO AIDEN GRIMSHAW, "CURTAIN CALL."
5.) NERVO, "You're Gonna Love Again"
They're incredible songwriters (remember Kelly Rowland's "When Love Takes Over"? Yep, them!), DJs (Brit Brit took 'em around the world on her "Femme Fatale Tour"!) -- and they're GORGEOUS to boot! Ugh, some people just have it all. Now, Nervo are continuing to prove that they've got even more to offer as a seriously incredible act on their own. After unleashing "We're All No One" last year with Afrojack & Steve Aoki, the girls return this summer with a storming EDM smash, "You're Gonna Love Again," produced alongside Avicii. "You don't need to be scared/ 'cause you're gonna love again," the ladies urge before the song splashes into its massive, arena-size synthesizers and crashing beats.
+ LISTEN TO NERVO, "YOU'RE GONNA LOVE AGAIN."

In his spare time, he enjoys organizing his Britney Spears CD collection in reverse chronological order and plotting the various ways in which he will bring down Katy Perry to become Rihanna's best friend. But most of all, he spends his time tweeting musing daily about pop music on his blog, MuuMuse.

Переслать - Watch Danny Brown's 'Die Like A Rockstar' 'PUSH Live' Performance
Danny Brown flows like a rock star.
Few songs capture the unhinged swagger of Danny Brown quite like "Die Like A Rockstar." The Detroit rapper's Busta Rhymes-meets-Ad-Rock flow is in full effect in his "PUSH Live" performance, which finds Brown staring down the camera as he raps over the SKYWLKR-produced beat. Referencing dead celebrities from Kurt Cobain to Heath Ledger, Brown gets real about the dangers of the fast life. "Tripping off the s*** that had Brian Wilson flipping/Experiment so much it's a miracle I'm living," he rhymes before diving into the grisly hook.
Brown's got plenty of reasons to live: 2011's XXX was named the best hip-hop album of the year by Spin, for one (keep watching that throne, Kanye!). And the indie MC scored a spot on the cover of XXL for the mag's annual freshman list earlier this year, sticking his tongue out and wearing a Mick Jagger-level jacket. Dude has style for days -- menswear guru Mark McNairy -- McNasty to his bloggers -- tapped him to model his latest collection, with some help from up-and-coming Florida rapper (and No. 1 Danny Brown fan) Kitty Pryde. Though not everyone's a fan: Brown claims 50 Cent didn't sign him to G-Unit because of his jeans. Maybe that's why this "PUSH Live" catches him in gym shorts. Judging by his breath control, Brown probably does cardio like a rock star, too.

Переслать - Star Spotting: Selena Gomez Frolics On The Beach With A Man Who Is NOT Justin Bieber!
Selena Gomez is swept up into the arms of another man!
Guys, remember that one time we got the panic sweats when Miley Cyrus hopped in the pool with a dude who wasn't her future hubby, Liam Hemsworth? Multiply that panic level times like, 28,000 because now Selena Gomez is getting thrown around the beach by a mystery man who is NOT JUSTIN BIEBER. (DUN DUN DUN!) Sure, we're possibly being a tad dramatic since this "mystery man" is actually Alfredo Flores, a filmmaker and an integral part of Team Biebs. However, we can't deny that the mere sight of Sel being lovingly cradled in someone else's arms is very unsettling.
Not to mention the somewhat tragic poncho she's rockingon the beach, but moving right along.Selena and Alfredo were snapped yesterday afternoon on the sunny beach of Malibu, Calif., while they were both on hand to celebrate mutual pal Ashley Tisdale's birthday. Fine, so maybe this was a totally platonic group outing, but unless Sel wants an outrage from angry Beliebers, we'd advise her to cool it on the PDA. OK? Cool.
