- Katy Perry Glams Up For Her Big London Premiere
by Meg Malone
We've certainly had Spidey on the brain with the release of "The Amazing Spider-Man" today, but that doesn't mean we've forgotten about the heart drawn on our calendar marking the release of "Katy Perry: Part of Me" on July 5.
Last week we saw Victoria Justice all dolled up in her heart-shaped 3-D glasses at the U.S. premiere, and now it's Katy Perry's turn to celebrate her film's London premiere in her typical sparkly style.
IT'S THE ?LONDON? PREMIERE! Even my lashes are excited! See you soon! #KP3D twitpic.com/a3gpz4
— Katy Perry (@katyperry) July 3, 2012
We've got to hand it to Katy—we can barely find time to brush mascara on in the morning, but this chick is always rocking the glam!
"Katy Perry: Part of Me" is a documentary chronicling the life of the singing star that will include her concert performances, a glimpse of Katy's life backstage and offstage, and a look at her early life. Katy talked to MTV News at the U.S. premiere where she said that she hoped this film would be "an inspiration for people."

Переслать - Jena Malone Reportedly Offered 'Catching Fire' Role
Hey, errbody! It's time, once again, for a rousing edition of "What's My Mason?" the exciting rumor-mongering game in which we tell you that we really, seriously for serious this time, know who's on tap to snag the hottest up-for-grabs lady role in "Catching Fire" ... and where whatever we tell you will, nevertheless, almost certainly turn out to be a bunch of baloney! Because that keeps happening! Over and over! But hey, you love it, right? Yeah, us too. And that sound you hear is definitely not our teeth grinding down to tiny little enameled nubs in frustration at their inability to just cast the damn part, already.
Anyway! Despite earlier reports that
Mia WasikowskaZoe AggelikiJena MaloneZoe Aggeliki was literally holding the pen in her hand and preparing to sign her "Catching Fire" contract right this minute, The Hollywood Reporter now tells us that it's Jena Malone who has the offer in the bag and is in final negotiations to play Johanna.Which would be great news for all the previously mentioned reasons that we love Jena as Johanna (blah blah butt-kicking awesome actress blah blah), but which we will also believe NEVER, not even after we have actually seen the movie, because under the circumstances we don't trust the studio not to come out after the fact and tell us that the Jena Malone-looking individual who appeared to be playing Johanna was actually a life-sized puppet wearing a realistic human skin.
But okay, no, really. Jena Malone. Yay! Probably. Probable yay. Tiny cautious yay that we can snatch back if it turns out not to be true. There's your yay, folks. YAY.
Okay, so... Jena? Yes? Are you cautiously optimistic?
Переслать - Get Caught In 'Spider-Man''s Web With These Dreamy Photos Of Andrew Garfield!
Tobey Maguire may have been the Spider-Man we grew up with, but Andrew Garfield is the one who will make your lady senses tingle. The 28-year-old is in fine (Spandexed) form in this week's "The Amazing Spider-Man," which co-stars real-life girlfriend Emma Stone as love interest Gwen Stacy. We already enumerated the reasons this may very well be the most romantic superhero movie ever, and it's no coincidence Andrew is at the heart of many of those reasons.
I had only seen Andrew in one movie ("The Social Network") before attending a screening of "Amazing" last week, and I was blown away not only by how perfectly he inhabited Peter Parker's teenage angst but also by his chemistry with Emma. In a word: electric! We have an inkling you'll be feeling the same way after leaving the theater today (because, after all of this gushing, why would you wait ONE MORE DAY to see all of this hotness?!), which is why we've compiled a handy gallery of Andrew's dreamiest shots. Working a suit and tie? Check! Looking cute with his girlfriend? Of course. Making us wish we were his girlfriend? NO DUH.

Переслать - Jamie Campbell Bower, Bonnie Wright Split
We were so busy gossiping about TomKat that another celebrity split flew right under our radar: The Daily Mail reported over the weekend that "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" co-stars Jamie Campbell Bower and Bonnie Wright have ended their engagement.
The two met on the set of the magical series in 2009 and confirmed their couple status in February of 2010. Betrothal rumors followed soon after, with Jamie revealing in March of 2011 that he had indeed put an engagement ring on it.
Though the two were frequently snapped on the red carpet together, they were fairly private about their relationship. When MTV News caught up with Bonnie in 2010, she remained mum on the subject of her rumored engagement, instead focusing talk on her and Jamie's current projects.
We're sad to see another relic of the "Harry Potter" era disappear, but at least the two can throw themselves into their work as they heal their hearts. Bonnie's next film, "Shakespeare's Daughter," is currently in production while Jamie's "The Mortal Instruments" is set to begin filming in a month.
Are you bummed that Jamie and Bonnie are no longer a couple?
Переслать - Why 'Amazing Spider-Man' Is The Most Romantic Superhero Movie Ever
Tobey Maguire, I'm really happy for you and Imma let you finish, but Andrew Garfield is the most romantic Spider-Man of all time!
Seriously, no disrespect to the old guard, but there's no doubt about it: "The Amazing Spider-Man" is the most romantic Spidey movie of them all, if not the most romantic superhero movie period. If you're a sucker for a good love story, trust me, go see "Amazing." It more than lives up to the title.
Keep reading for five reasons why the new Spider-flick is such a love fest!
When Peter Met Gwen: Step aside, Mary-Jane Watson. There's a new bombshell in town, and she goes by the name Gwen Stacy. The love between Peter Parker and Gwen works better here than it ever did between Pete and MJ in the Sam Raimi era: Unlike those two, Peter and Gwen trust and respect each other fully almost immediately. They're intellectual equals. They both know a thing or two about darkness. Peter even tells Gwen his superhero secret completely of his own accord, on their first real date no less! It's a fantastically functional relationship, the likes of which we haven't seen in a big budget blockbuster in quite some time.
When Peter Kissed Gwen: No, it's no upside-down kiss in the rain, but nothing was going to top that iconic imagery. Peter and Gwen's first kiss still sizzles, though, as he steals a smooch shortly after spinning her with webs and revealing his Spidey secret for the first time. It's a quieter moment than the infamous Tobey/Kirsten Dunst lip-lock, but arguably more romantic because it's not just someone kissing her masked fantasy man; it's Gwen fully accepting both Peter Parker the man, and Peter Parker the Spider-Man.
When Andrew Met Emma: You do know that the Peter-Gwen romance extends far beyond the movie, right? Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone started dating while shooting "Spider-Man," instantly becoming one of Hollywood's hottest and most genuine couples. Any movie that can bring those two lovebirds together has to be doing something right, right?
When Webb Met Webs: Off the screen, one of the big reasons why "Spider-Man" works as such a fantastic love story is director Marc Webb. The "(500) Days of Summer" filmmaker knows a thing or two about romance, obviously, and it shows in "Amazing." The film has terrific action and high-flying superhero antics, certainly, but it says a lot that those scenes pale in comparison to the smaller moments spent on Peter and Gwen. That's a testament not just to Andy and Emma, but Marc's sensibilities as a director.
When Spidey Lost Everything: Well, he hasn't lost everything—not yet. Fans of the "Spider-Man" comics know where the Peter-Gwen story goes, and when this "Amazing" new trilogy goes there, it's going to require a lot of Kleenex to get through. For now, enjoy the budding romance between Parker and Stacy while you can. They just might be the hottest couple in superhero movie history right now...but there is a storm coming, and it won't be pretty when it lands.

Переслать - Lucy Hale Lands A Little Bit Of 'Sugar' For New Album
by Danica Ruberti
Now that we know "Pretty Little Liars" star Lucy Hale has signed with big-time label Hollywood Records, the 23-year-old has fans wondering what she has up her sleeve. Well, don't be surprised if you're stuck like glue to her new album when Lucy goes country with Sugarland singer, guitarist and songwriter Kristian Bush!
Kristian sings alongside vocal giant Jennifer Nettles in Sugarland— the platinum-selling band that is known to get your hips swayin' and your feet movin'. MTV News caught up with Lucy and got the scoop on her upcoming collaboration and the details on her new country-esque album.
"We have a week off from ['Pretty Little Liars'], and I'm flying to Atlanta to write with Kristian Bush from Sugarland," Lucy told us when asked about this upcoming collaboration. "They're the biggest country band out there, and I don't even know how I got that. I don't even know! I got an email about it and it was obviously a no-brainer."
A no-brainer not only because Sugarland is a country giant, but also because this is exactly the direction Lucy wants to take her new album. And we're happy to say Hollywood Records head Ken Bunt is eager to make Lucy's vision with this upcoming record come true.
"I told him [I wanted to sing] country, so I'm going to do a country/pop album, and I couldn't be more excited," she said. "I grew up in Tennessee, so that's always been my heart and soul. It's hard to come across a true country fan in L.A., but it's true that the fans are so loyal, once you're in their circle, you're in for your entire career. It just really speaks to me. Country music has so much soul and is so heartfelt. I think it's a perfect fit for me. I think it will surprise people."
