  • POSTED: The Wanted Talking Touring + Tweeting With Justin Bieber

Get ready to freak the eff out all month long, guys: The Wanted is MTV's POSTED artist for April! You get an entire 30 DAYS to properly celebrate the U.K. band (that's if paying homage to their recent Billboard magazine cover hasn't already been part of your daily ritual). Expect plenty of interviews, videos and photos of the "Glad You Came" singers throughout the month of April. This week, our video interview catches the blokes dishing about being friends with Justin Bieber -- let the shrieking/shaking/fainting/fanning officially commence.

Watch The Wanted talk touring and Justin Bieber after the jump!

The video shows the band members (that's Thomas Anthony Parker, Nathan James Sykes, Maximillian Alberto George, Siva Kaneswaran and James McGuiness, if you're new to this game) reflecting on what it's been like "gig-ing" (AKA "touring") with Justin Bieber. The band already shares the same manager as Justin, but the guys fondly recall their first official moment of bonding with the Biebs --on Twitter! The band jokingly explains (what many of us may seriously believe): "You're not real friends if you're not friends on Twitter." Amen.

BFF-ing the Biebs via social media didn't hurt The Wanted -- the Brits are some of the most popular newcomers to the states. (They're album Battleground didn't hurt their popularity either.) So don't listen to your parents, guys -- obsessive Tweeting is good for you!

Watch more of The Wanted's videos at POSTED.MTV.com all month long!

  • Watch Florence + The Machine's 'MTV Unplugged' Performance Of 'Cosmic Love'

There are few artists more tailor-made for MTV's iconic "Unplugged" institution than Florence + The Machine. The inimitable British baroque-pop chanteuse earned a spot on everyone's iPods and best-of lists with the release of her soaring 2008 single, "Dog Days Are Over." And Florence Welch's star has only continued to rise since.

Watch a sneak peek of Florence + The Machine's upcoming "Unplugged" special, presented by State Farm, with a full-length clip of "Cosmic Love," the sixth single from their debut album, Lungs. Florence belts out her tale of a love gone wrong, while a choir, a string section, and a harp make the performance of the already-poignant song even more haunting. It also doesn't hurt that Florence's "Unplugged" was shot at the historic Angel Orensanz Center, a former gothic revival synagogue in New York's Lower East Side and one of the prettiest places we've ever seen.

And don't miss "MTV Unplugged: Florence + The Machine," in its entirety on Sunday, April 8 at 11 p.m. ET on MTV and MTV.com.

  • Justin Bieber Releases Two 'Boyfriend' Video Teasers... Sort Of (VIDEO)

If we didn't totally love Justin Bieber we'd totally hate him for torturing us with all these "Boyfriend" video teasers. We're loyal fans, right? We download all his music legally and retweet him on the regular, no? So why are you doing this to us, Biebs?!

We've got two "Boyfriend" video teasers to discuss: one is absolutely incredible, and the other, a horribly mean April Fool's joke, basically resembles what you might see if the effing world ended Justin Bieber accidentally became possessed by the devil. In the real "Boyfriend" video preview, we hear the intro to Justin's song and see a shimmering light cascade over his gorgeous face. (Too much?) As he stands against a black background, a plethora of female hands rise from the ground and start touching him... all over. As the luckiest hand models in the world continue to caress Justin, the teaser ends abruptly. Uh, THANKS.

Watch Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend" video teasers after the jump.

But always the prankster, on April Fool's day Justin decided to play a joke on his fans and release a fake "Boyfriend" video teaser. JB unleashed the news via Twitter: "here. #2 - u deserve it. i love u. enjoy." The second preview features "Boyfriend" accompanied by a chorus of screams and a shot of the character Regan from the movie "The Exorcist" after she's been possessed. Not the nicest trick to play on your fans, Justin, but you're usually a pretty stand-up guy so we'll let this one slide. It might be nice to apologize to everyone by releasing the full video a little early so we can end the torturous wait? Or give every Belieber a lock of your hair. Either way.

  • Taylor Swift Wins Big At The ACMs, Tweets The Evidence (PHOTO)

Taylor Swift won the Entertainer of the Year award at the Academy Of Country Music Awards.

It's becoming harder and harder to believe that Taylor Swift is an actual human since her life just gets more and more perfect by the day. In addition to fulfilling my lifelong personal dream of receiving a her own signed copy of "The Hunger Games," last night Taylor took home the Entertainer of the Year award at the Academy of Country Music Awards! Not human whatsoever.

Country heavyweights like Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton and Brad Paisley were no match for Taylor who -- surprise, surprise -- snagged the award last year as well. As we all know by now, Tay loves to share all forms of good news with her fans so naturally, she tweeted about her ACM win. Along with a shot of her holding her winning card, she tweeted. "Oh what a night..... (thank you, thank you, thank you!!!)"

Read more about Taylor Swift's ACM win after the jump.

A few things to point out: First, it still baffles me how any woman can wear white on screen and still look rail thin. Taylor wore a form-fitting white dress with gold accents yet still managed to look like she'd been a juice cleanse for the past month. Also, I always wonder: what do you think Taylor actually does with that piece of paper with her name on it? She doesn't like, throw it in her purse, right? If it were me, I'd hire a personal bodyguard to escort it back to my home and then have someone run it over to the nearest stationary store to have it laminated/ framed/ bronzed, etc. What, you just don't see your name on a winner's card very often!  Oh wait, actually Taylor Swift does...

  • Nicki Minaj, Of Monsters And Men Release Albums; Florence + The Machine Performs On 'MTV Unplugged'

Welcome to Buzzworthy's "The Week In Pop," where we round up new album releases, talk show musical guests and appearances, TV appearances by your favorite pop stars and more (so you don't have to).

We don't have to wait until Friday to hear Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded -- it officially hits streets on Tuesday! Also, there's a mix of new and old-school releases this week: Check out stellar debut albums from Of Monsters And Men (catch their performance on "VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live" on Friday) and The Jezabels, while an entire catalog's worth of reissues from The Smiths find new life along with a reissue from Will.i.am. Boy bands continue to take over the TV airwaves with The Wanted performing on "American Idol" while One Direction will be the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live." The week caps off in gothy-soulful heaven with Florence + The Machine's "MTV Unplugged" appearance.

Check out this week's album releases and television show music guests below.

    NEW ALBUM RELEASES

    Tuesday, April 3
    + Nicki Minaj
, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded: One of the billion things I love about Nicki Minaj is that she stays true to her vision (no matter how out there it seems) AND it's often humorous, even when the topic and sound is serious. Take alter ego Roman's hilarious swipe at haters in "I Am Your Leader." There's something for everyone over the 19 tracks, from the rousing dance party pop club banger "Starships" to the old school style of the title track with Lil Wayne. There are also myriad star collabs -- including Drake, Nas, Young Jeezy, 2Chainz and more -- but she shines brightly on her own, showing an impressive diversity as a bonafide pop star and formidable rapper.

+ Of Monsters And Men, My Head Is An Animal: Iceland produces some amazingly unique artists, from Björk to Sigur Rós, and the next Icelandic export making serious waves on these shores is Of Monsters And Men. Their folkish style is wrapped in lush, orchestral instrumentation, but they've got a great pop sensibility, too, with sing-along choruses and pretty male-female vocal interplay. Fave songs from this debut album include "King and Lionheart," "Lakehouse" and their breakthrough single "Little Talks."

The JezabelsPrisoner: Their debut, which came out digitally a couple months back, gets its physical release. The Sydney-based band's singer Hayley Mary has a compelling and versatile voice that can caterwaul from the appealing indie rock shimmer of "Endless Summer" to Kate Bush-styled drama ("Prisoner," "Nobody Nowhere") to gothy-soul a la Florence Welch ("City Girl," "Long Highway"), which floats above lush and moody indie rock.

Check out more new album releases and upcoming TV appearances and performances after the jump.

Bear in HeavenI Love You, It's Cool: While these guys made news when they posted a stream of their album several months in advance of its release on their website (which was slowed down and stretched out to play over the course of 112 or so days), don't hold the clever marketing ploy against them. Fans of synth-swathed pop with danceable rhythms will find a lot to love, it's cool.

+ The Smiths, The Smiths; Meat is Murder; The Queen is Dead; Strangeways, Here we Come; Hatful of Hollow; The World Won't Listen; Louder Than Bombs; Rank: Attention fellow gloomsters with a love of humorous irony: if you are missing an album from The Smiths' catalog, the entire set gets remastered by guitarist Johnny Marr and engineer Frank Arkwright, and reissued.

+ Will.i.amLost Change: 10th Anniversary Expanded & Limited: A decade ago, Will.i.am made a soundtrack for the internet movie, Lost Change, and it was released as part of the "Beat Generation" series. The reissue includes instrumentals.

+ Wilson Phillips, Dedicated: The trio of Chynna Phillips and sisters Carnie and Wendy Wilson return with a new studio album composed entirely of The Beach Boys and The Mamas And The Papas covers. A fitting dedication as the Wilson siblings are the daughters of Beach Boys genius Brian Wilson; Chynna is the daughter of of The Mamas And The Papas' John and Michelle Phillips.

  • Watch One Direction Perform 'What Makes You Beautiful' At The Kids' Choice Awards

One Direction performs "What Makes You Beautiful" during the Kids' Choice Awards.

We're not promising you're going to actually hear One Direction's voices over the crowd's piercing screams during their "What Makes You Beautiful" performance at the 2012 Kids' Choice Awards, but you can at least see them. And that's all that really matters, right? We kid! The guys sounded great, and the crowd ADORED them -- it's official: the (very cute) British are coming... annnd we're perfectly okay with it.

Watch One Direction perform "What Makes You Beautiful" at the Kids' Choice Awards after the jump!

While the U.K. band didn't take home any awards, their "What Makes You Beautiful" performance probably solidified a nomination for next year. Aside from charming the audience with their insanely dapper outfits, the group also got the entire place dancing, including celebs like Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez. The boys even caused a full-on swoon-fest when they offered high fives and hand touching to some of their fans during the performance. (So we're guessing there wasn't a lot of hand washing after the show.)

One Direction is busy touring the U.S promoting their album Up All Night, but based on the screaming decibel level during their KCA performance, we think their success here is a very (high-pitched) sound deal.

  • Watch Katy Perry Perform 'Part Of Me' At The Kids' Choice Awards!

Katy Perry soars during her "Part Of Me' performance at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.

We imagine Katy Perry woke up one day and said to herself, "How should I impress my fans now that I've already dominated Billboard charts and re-released my super successful album (Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection) with new songs? I know: I'll JUST FLY during my performance of "Part Of Me" at the Kids' Choice Awards!"

Watch Katy Perry perform "Part Of Me" at the Kids' Choice Awards after the jump.

Before gracefully accepting her award for Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie for her role as Smurfette in "The Smurfs," Katy wooed the crowd with a medieval-themed performance of "Part Of Me." Katy hovered over the audience sporting sparkly armor, a metal shield and one seriously sharp sword. (Technically, she had a little help from some ropes and a harness -- minor details.) After landing, Katy and her medieval back-up dancers delivered choreography that meshed both traditional Renaissance and modern moves proving that Katy's not only talented, but she's also timeless. But we already knew that.

We're thinking the Renaissance theme's based on Katy surviving her very own dark ages (that divorce from Russell Brand probably isn't fun). Or maybe girl's just trying to bring back puffy shirts and knights in shining armor  -- we ain't mad at it.

  • Star Spotting: Justin Bieber Gets Slimed At The Kids' Choice Awards! And We Have The GIF!

Justin Bieber gets slimed at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards!

It's really hard to feel bad for Justin Bieber like, ever. But it's also hard to see this photo of him getting slimed at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards and not at least think, "Oh, man. That probably sucks a lot more than we think." My future boyfriend The "Boyfriend" singer was ambushed by green goo this weekend when he accepted his statue for Favorite Male Singer, and judging by the look on his face, he's not entirely happy about it. I have a sneaking suspicion dude's gonna be finding slime on his body in places he didn't even know existed for weeks to come.

Biebs was a good sport about it, though. He was super happy to nab the blimp for Favorite Male Singer, and he even dedicated the win to his fans: "Right now, I've been working really hard on my album, Believe. This album is our album. This [blimp] goes out to all the fans. I love you so much." Our album? Then how's about you forward me the link to a free advance download, Justin? Kthxbai.

  • Video Premiere: Needtobreathe, 'Keep Your Eyes Open'

Needtobreathe keep it retro in 'Keep Your Eyes Open.'

When we get nostalgic, it's usually for cool "Mad Men" suits, or Jeff Buckley, or the golden era of the Jonas Brothers, or our first AOL email address. But the men of Needtobreathe are taking it way back. The South Carolina band's postmodern "Keep Your Eyes Open" video, directed by Eric Ryan Anderson, time-travels all the way back to the 1890s, complete with the black-and-white 16-millimeter static of a vintage video projector, antique (and quite frankly kinda frightening-looking) steampunk-ish ophthalmological devices, old-timey suits and shades of sepia.

+ Watch Needtobreathe's "Keep Your Eyes Open" video after the jump.

The rugged song, from their No. 1 album, The Reckoning, is also a throwback -- it's a throaty, backwater rock anthem that smacks of Creedence Clearwater Revival, or, more recently, Kings of Leon. It's the type of song that could only come from Southern men with names like "Bo and "Bear" and "Stillwell" (sorry, Seth). But nostalgia aside, at its core, "Keep Your Eyes Open" is all about looking ahead, holding on and heading for "the great unknown." By the way, the band's already toured with Taylor Swift, so we're pretty sure (read: 100 percent sure) their future looks like bright.

Speaking of looking forward and back, Needtobreathe spent much of last year touring and just kicked off their own headlining tour, complete with a vintage yet clickable map. And they'll be rocking all the way through September, when they'll play Disney World. (Dreams really do come true.) They're also making a stop in Tennessee to play Bonnaroo, and we expect "Keep Your Eyes Open" will be one of the festival's highlights.
