- Douglas Booth Makes Us 'LOL' As This Week's Hump Day Hottie
Douglas Booth is the latest British import to hit Hollywood. And if the Brits keep churning out cuties like Douglas we will certainly keep naming them hotties of the week. With the limited release of Miley Cyrus' latest big-screen vehicle, "LOL," this week, we decided to shine the spotlight on Douglas and make him this week's Hump Day Hottie.
Check out this dreamy photo of Douglas and keep reading for more details about him!
Vital stats: The 19-year-old Londoner got his start mugging for the camera as a professional model before moving on to moving images. And, while he doesn't like to address his personal life, in an interview with Out magazine, he danced around rumors he's dating actress Vanessa Kirby.
"I have things going on in different countries," he explained. "You know, things come out here, then over there. 'Romeo and Juliet' is getting buzz on both sides of the pond, but it doesn't really affect me. I don't have time to think about who's talking about what. I just want to do a decent job and then move on."
Where you might have already seen him: He's acted in a number of high-profile projects including the recent Masterpiece Classic adaptation of the Charles Dickens tale "Great Expectations." He's also been in "The Pillars of the Earth," "Worried About the Boy" and "Christopher and His Kind," which have all made him famous across the pond.
Why you should take notice of him now: Well, this week he plays Miley Cyrus' hard-not-to-look-at-he's-so-pretty love interest in "LOL." The film is set for limited released, which is unfortunate since the entire planet should get the chance to see him fall for Miley.
He's got a number of other projects on his docket including "Geography of the Hapless Heart," "Life at These Speeds" and the latest big-screen adaptation of "Romeo and Juliet." He'll play Romeo to Hailee Steinfeld's Juliet. News like that could almost make us forget Leonardo DiCaprio ever played the star-crossed love.
Until next week, when we choose another Hump Day Hottie, you can salute Douglas by staring at the photo above!
Переслать - Jessica Simpson Gives Birth, Alyson Hannigan Wonders If She Has Biggest Hollywood Baby Bump
It finally happened, Crushers! After what felt like a billion-month-long pregnancy, Jessica Simpson gave birth to her daughter this morning! In a statement on Jessica's website, she wrote, "Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson. We are so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!!"
Congrats to Jessica Simpson!Does this mean I now have the biggest baby bump in Hollywood?
— alyson hannigan (@alydenisof) May 1, 2012
Jessica announced the baby news on Twitter with a link to her website. If you recall, she also took to Twitter to spill that her and fiancé Eric Johnson were expecting. As avid tweeters, we highly approve. Celebs have begun congratulating the "Fashion Star" judge via the social networking site, including Alyson Hannigan!
The "How I Met Your Mother" actress is also expecting another child with "Buffy"-co-star-turned-husband Alexis Denisof. When she was on "The Rachel Roy Show" last month she said, "The last couple of times I've been at stores, people have been like, 'Oh you're ready to pop, right?' I'm like, 'Actually I have a couple more months.' Somebody said, 'You're sure there's not two?' I keep asking my doctor the same thing."
Jessica has been in the media lately thanks to her big baby bump, and it looks like Alyson is taking over as celebrity-most-likely-to-pop. We wish her all the luck in the world in our Tweet Dreams!
Are you excited about Jessica Simpson's little girl? What do you think of her name? Let us know in the comments and on Twitter!
Переслать - 'Battleship' Star Taylor Kitsch Reveals His Opinion On Dating A Fan
Oh, Taylor Kitsch. With his hazel eyes and luscious brown hair, he's the hunk of our daydreams who sets our little hearts fluttering. MTV News' Josh Horowitz recently got to spend some time with the "Friday Night Lights" actor for "MTV First: Battleship." Did we mention it was in Hawaii? Literally the makings of our wildest fantasies (we totally considered bribing Josh to call in sick so we could tag along).
While he sat down with Taylor, Alexander Skarsgård, Brooklyn Decker and Rihanna, he got in some Twitter questions for the incredibly attractive cast. Tweeter @AshleyB8706 brilliantly asked Taylor if he would ever date a fan. Inquiring minds want to know!
"I mean, are they gonna cut me up if I don't?" Taylor joked. Honestly, Taylor, how could you think such a thing? We would maim anyone who even dared to think about laying a hand on you. Cheeky "True Blood" actor, Alexander, chimed in, "Do I count as a fan?"
"I don't know. I don't think so. I don't think it's really... I don't know. I don't think so," Taylor stammered.
But if it makes you feel any better (it makes us feel better), Taylor hasn't gone to great lengths to really woo any girl. In the film he chases after Brooklyn and inevitably gets her (well, duh, she does have eyes), but in real life he's pretty laid back.
"Well, I haven't been tased," he said, "not for a girl."
And Brooklyn—gotta love her—said what we were all thinking: "You're not working hard enough. Get arrested. Seriously, where's the sacrifice?"
Honestly, Taylor's already stolen our hearts and we haven't even met him yet. He'd hardly need to get in trouble with the law to win us over. Punching a guy in the face to protect our honor and being whisked away in handcuffs as the hero would simply be a plus.
Are you a Taylor fan? What do you think of his answer? Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!
Переслать - New 'True Blood' Clip: Alexander Skarsgard Shows His Teeth
"True Blood" won't be back with its fifth season for another month yet, but for once, the waiting doesn't suck quite so badly—because the latest of those new behind-the-scenes teasers is out today, and this teeny-tiny video has just what we've been waiting for: proof that Eric Northman is BACK, baby, and in a big way.
The latest clip features Eric and Pam, and no sign whatsoever of the gentle, hoodie-wearing amnesiac who stole Sookie's heart last season. Instead, we find ourselves in the empty bar at Fangtasia, where Eric has Pam on a table...and not in a fun, sexy way, either.
"You're f---ing lying!" he growls, looming over his weeping progeny as she sobs and protests her innocence.
"I'm not lying!" Pam cries. "I swear I don't know where Russell is!"
Whoa, whoa, whooooooa. Hey now! Eric Northman on an angry power trip, Pam in tears, and a hint of the longed-for comeback of one Russell Edgington? It's official: This clip is the creme de la creme, the prize lightfruit in our faerie garden, the Alcide to our wolfpack... and that goes double when Pam indignantly demands to know what could compel her maker to accuse her of such an outrageous crime, and Eric unhinges his fanged uppers and informs her that he trusts no one (and neither should she).
Hooray for the apparent return of Mean Angry Eric! Hooray for the possible return of Russell Edgington! And hooray for the inevitable return of "True Blood" this summer, because seriously, we're dying over here.
Click on over to YouTube to watch the clip. (Beware, salty language!)
Does this latest clip sate your craving for "True Blood"?
Переслать - 'New Year's Eve' DVD EXCLUSIVE: How Are The Stars Doing On Their Resolutions?
Chances are that by now, your New Year's resolutions are kinda like last year's unsustainably trendy stiletto gladiator boots: They seemed like a great idea at the time, but after a vow to really make them work and a few self-congratulatory (if uncomfortable) outings, you eventually gave up, threw in and haven't even looked at them in months—except to push them further into the back of your closet with a vague sense of regret.
But! Just because you only went to the gym two times (okay, one and a half) before resuming your pre-2012 routine of couch potato-tude, that doesn't mean you can't revisit the ol' resolutions again! Like, maybe even right this minute! And to get you started, here's a look back at the stars of "New Year's Eve" (which is out on DVD today!) discussing their own aspirations for the coming year.
Among the most interesting resolutions? Zac Efron, who vowed to "just stop talking about going and doing things, and go and do them." (And let it never be said that Zac doesn't dream big; one of his aspirations is to "do some Indiana Jones stuff," and we wish him all the best in his archaeological and Nazi-fighting pursuits.) And Ludacris began with a resolution that morphed midway through into a sort of peculiar threat:
"I didn't get to do any scenes with Halle Berry," he said of his performance in "New Year's Eve." "So my resolution is to...I'd BETTER get some scenes with Halle Berry."
And while actresses Sarah Paulson and Katherine Heigl went the traditional route with promises to "eat healthier, work out more" or "go to the gym! Drink more water!" Sarah Jessica Parker suggested that resolutions ought to be more of a unique but attainable challenge. Her idea?
"Maybe try not to say the f-word for a year."
Which is, of course, totally fuuuuuu....er, unlikely.
Did you enjoy revisiting "New Year's Eve" with the cast of the film?
Переслать - 'Smash' Recap: 'Tech'
by Erin Strecker
If you had told me when the episode started that last night's "Smash" would end with Ivy and Dev in a bar in Boston together, presumably about to hook up, I would have said that that was one twist even Bollywood-dance-loving "Smash" wouldn't try to pull off. But, after introducing themselves to each other (and they totally know who they are, so the show better not try to pull some weird "We had no idea!" twist next week), the two chatted at a bar and hit it off. In the preview of next week's scenes, it appeared to show Dev and Ivy in bed together, so if everything proceeds accordingly, all I can say is: WOW.
But the ender was far from the only shocking moment last night, as "Bombshell" went on the road to Boston for its out-of-city tryout and this was the drama-filled week in which the cast and crew spent teching the show. Or, at least, most of the cast. The actor playing Joe DiMaggio had to drop out, as he had booked a pilot, which left the show high and dry just days before opening night. Luckily, Tom and Derek had a replacement: Time to bring back Michael Swift. Downside: Everyone, not just Tom, totally knew Julia had an affair with him and she was none too pleased to have him back.
In fact, Julia flat-out refused, even after both Tom and Eileen tried to talk to her. I didn't know you could just decide not to deal with parts of your job, but, Julia—happy because for the past week Frank had moved back into their home—didn't want to mess anything up. After a tense bit of time, Frank and Leo (why is he even involved with this?) decided the whole family was going to Boston, I guess because they don't trust Julia by herself? Road trip!
Julia and Frank weren't the only ones dealing with relationship issues. Tom met new boyfriend Sam's parents for dinner, and while it was nice to see a family conflict that wasn't about the whole dating-a-guy issue, their problem wasn't exactly riveting. Sam's dad didn't really want him to be a dancer because it's very difficult to be financially successful. Tom actually agreed, which helped the two of them hit it off, but Sam was understandably upset his boyfriend was taking his father's side. Honestly, this was a great real-life problem, but this is "Smash," so it paled in comparison to everyone else's issues, which were as drama filled as this year's Tony nominees.
Derek started the episode being a surprisingly good boyfriend; he even told Ivy he loved her when she helped him solve a complicated staging issue with the show. But the happiness—or whatever—certainly didn't last long, because even before Ivy could say it back, Derek was hooking up with an insecure Rebecca Duvall. Derek's type is a lot more specific than leading ladies: It's Monroe Only. Whether it's Ivy, Karen via his elaborate fantasies, or now Rebecca cooing "Happy Birthday Mr. Director," it's obvious who he really has the hots for. Unfortunately, it was rather obvious to Ivy (and Ellis) as well, and by the end of the episode, Ivy had confirmed the worst and was singing her heart out in a packed hotel room.
A key point to note is that while Ivy was belting out her heartbreak, Dev stormed into the room for Karen, and then Karen chased him out of the hotel room. Ivy must have seen this, so she had to know who he was. Case closed. But I digress: Dev was looking for Karen because he had come up to Boston to ask her to marry him (because he kissed RJ a little bit). "I'm in tech," is not an answer to "Will you marry me?" so naturally Dev was going to follow up. My opinion on Dev has done a 180 the past couple of episodes, because he now joins the hallowed halls of TV boyfriends who can't deal with their girlfriend's success. (See also: Most of Carrie Bradshaw's dudes.) He proposed right after he cheated on her, without filling her in on any of it.
So, yes, they had some problems, but Dev decided to make it infinitely worse by heading to a bar and chatting up Ivy. If they want to play handsome stranger in a bar, fine. But let the TV record show that these two totally know who each other are, and also, they both should know better. And maybe they will. The episode ended with Dev buying Ivy a drink, but the foreboding promise of what's to come—just in time for opening night—will make me stick around for another week.
Crushers: Do you think Ivy and Dev will hook up? Once Karen is playing Marilyn, will she even care? Are you invested in any of the adults' relationship plotlines at this point? Sound off in the comments and on Twitter!
Переслать - And The MTV Movie Awards Nominees Are...
The nominations for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards are in! Which means that if you're reading this, you should start making a SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE noise right about now, and not stop until we reach the end of this post (so take a deep breath, fellas, because it's about to get celebritastic up in here.)
This year was a huge one for fabulous flicks, breakout performances, and Ryan Gosling crushing the bejeezus out of somebody's head in an elevator—all of which are getting their well-deserved recognition with nominations in all your favorite classic Movie Awards categories, plus a handful of brand-new ones to boot. In fact, this year's awards noms are so rife with our favorite celebs and best-loved movies, it's hard to even pick a highlight reel...but we'll do our best, with this barely abridged list of the feature films, superstars, make-out sessions and filthy sleazeballs we're most excited to see in the running for a gold-plated box of popcorn this year.
Unsurprisingly for a year that contained three blockbuster adaptations of our favorite literary series—not to mention three different movies with Ryan Gosling in them—this year's contenders for Movie of the Year reads like a laundry list of everything we couldn't wait to see: "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," "The Hunger Games," and "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" all scored a nomination, along with critically acclaimed ladyflicks "The Help" and "Bridesmaids." And the acting categories follow suit, with nominations for "Harry Potter" actors Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson (plus some extra love for Emma and Rupert Grint in the Best Kiss competition); Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson for "The Hunger Games" (plus a nod for Liam Hemsworth in the new Breakout Performance category); and a full-on Best Cast nomination for "Bridesmaids" alongside the Panem populace and the Hogwarts crew.
And yes, yes, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are, once again, up for "Best Kiss" for their wedding smooch in "Breaking Dawn."
And finally, because no Hollywood Crush roundup of award nominations would be complete without a Goslingwatch, here's where you can expect great things from our favorite baby goose: Ryan is up for Best Kiss (along with smooch-ee Emma Stone in "Crazy Stupid Love"), plus Best Male Performance for his role in "Drive" and best Gut-Wrenching Performance for the aforementioned love-in-an-elevator scene from that film.
Want to see the full list of nominees for this year's MTV Movie Awards? Don't miss the complete rundown on the official site!

Переслать - Celebrity Book Club: Dayo Okeniyi Is Hungry For 'The Alchemist'
It's time for another meeting of Hollywood Crush's Celebrity Book Club!
Dayo Okeniyi is no stranger to the best-seller list. He did star as tribute Thresh in the big-screen adaptation of "The Hunger Games," after all. But when we ran into the actor recently, we wanted to know what books not authored by Suzanne Collins he had resting on his nightstand.
"I've been reading 'The Alchemist' like every—four or five times a year," he revealed. "It's a life changer, one of those kinds of books. I'm a little obsessed with that book right now."
Penned by Paulo Coelho, "The Alchemist" is an allegorical tale which follows a young shepherd boy on a search for treasure in Egypt, inspired by a recurring dream. The book has sold more than 65 million copies worldwide and a film adaptation has been in the works for a while now (though not much news has surfaced since Harvey Weinstein bought the rights back in 2009). Perhaps Dayo could find himself in another silver-screen take of a beloved novel?

Переслать - Rihanna, Brooklyn Decker Recall 'Battleship' Karaoke Party In Tokyo
Now, if we were faced with the daunting task of having to sing karaoke in front of Rihanna, we might try and get a few tunes in before the pop superstar arrived to the party. So we can understand where Brooklyn Decker was coming from when cameras stopped rolling on the "Battleship" set in Japan, even if sequence of events had the film's sole pop star, Rihanna, a bit perplexed.
When the cast of "Battleship" sat down with us during MTV First: Battleship — which premiered Monday night on MTV — they opened up about a group karaoke outing.
"We were in Tokyo," Decker explained during MTV First: Battleship, which premiered Monday night on MTV. "I mean you're in Tokyo. It's like the origin of karaoke, so we felt like we were being true to the culture. It wasn't for a bonding experience. It was, respect. We were respecting the Japanese culture. No, no fun!"
"Ok, so it was before Rihanna got there," she continued. "So, I sang [Rihanna's] 'What's My Name.' But I rapped the Drake part. I'm sorry. But I had to it before you got there," she told her costar, "because I felt like I was putting the song to shame."
What truly shamed Ri was the fact that Brooklyn didn't feel comfortable enough to belt the tune out in front of her pal. "I'm sick to my stomach. Nothing else matters," Ri joked. "You betrayed me."After the twosome buried the hatchet, Rihanna dished on what her favorite karaoke tunes are. Note, none are any of her own songs. "Yes I do [karaoke], but under very specific circumstances," she said. "I have to be a least tipsy-ish and I have to be with my assistant, who is my karaoke partner. We like to sing Bon Jovi and Journey. Anything that's loud and you get to sing and pretend you're a rock star."
Hey, Rihanna, that's never anything you have to pretend!

If our MTV First: Battleship wasn't enough to whet your appetite for "Battleship," check out a few of our other related goods, like Taylor and Alex being all cute and bromantic in this exclusive clip.
And if you're also curious about the ladies in the film, check out what Rihanna had to say about tackling her first film role and reveling in being a "badass."
"I wanted to do something badass but I didn't imagine it would be grungy, like straight Navy soldier, no makeup," Rihanna said of her expectations for her first movie role. "I enjoyed it. We did training just before the shoot, speeding the boat, turning, learning how to shoot and handle the weapon, and two hours later we were shooting that scene."
