- New 'Expendables 2' Trailer Debuts This Week
We've had two weeks of Chuck Norris "Expendables" action to chew on in a row, and it looks like the powers that be wish to continue spoiling us with goodies from the upcoming all-star action flick.
A brand new "Expendables 2" trailer is about to arrive — on Thursday (May 3), to be precise — and you can catch an early look at new footage over at IGN… though the words "early footage" don't exactly measure up to what you'll see.
No, "endless explosions" is probably the more appropriate term. Or, "endless explosions and endless Terry Crews shouting in your face," to be even more precise. That's pretty much what you get in the trailer teaser, as Crews gets into pitchman mode and shouts at the viewer to head back to IGN on Thursday for the full trailer. We'll do exactly that, Terry — assuming Chuck's along for the ride!
With a new "Expendables" trailer on the way, the week is only becoming more awesome for movie trailers. Already the new "Dark Knight Rises" trailer has dropped, with an all-new "Amazing Spider-Man" trailer swinging in later as well. Combine these three with the coming arrival of "Marvel's The Avengers," and it's safe to say that the summer movie season is officially on.
"The Expendables 2" stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Liam Hemsworth, Yu Nan, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean Claude Van Damme and, of course, Chuck Norris. It blows up movie theaters everywhere on August 17.

Переслать - Exclusive 'Haywire' Featurette: Michael Fassbender On The 'Old School' Vibe
There are few things we love more than Michael Fassbender, but as we learned while watching "Haywire," seeing Gina Carano beat the crap out of him is truly something special.
To celebrate the release of "Haywire" on Blu-ray and DVD, we have an exclusive clip from the featurette "The Men of 'Haywire,'" starring none other than the Fassbender himself.
In the clip, Fassbender explains what he enjoyed most about the ultra-cool screenplay for the film. "What I like from the script is all the stuff that's not said, the intrigue," he says. "I got an old school espionage-type film, like an old spy thriller, going back to the early 80s, from what I can remember of my childhood. That's the feel I got from it, although it's set in a modern context."
Director Steven Soderbergh gets a lot of the credit in Fassbender's book. The actor complemented Soderbergh's ability to control the mood on set, while letting each scene breathe and grow. "Of course Steven's so skilled that he brings a real air of confidence on set and makes everyone feel confident and relaxed," he says. "We discover scenes as we go, the tone of it, the color of it and what sort of pitch. We want to set the scenes as ever-changing. It happens very organically."
"Haywire" is out on Blu-ray and DVD now.

Переслать - 'Battleship' Stars Get A Blast From The Past
Rihanna's been singled out a lot lately for "Battleship" because it's her acting debut, but that's not really fair, is it? MTV News' Josh Horowitz certainly didn't think so. During "MTV First: Battleship," he decided to take her co-stars on a trip down memory lane to look at their first gigs on the big screen.
First up is Alexander Skarsgård in his debut American film, "Zoolander." If you're thinking "wait, he was in that?" you're not alone. You may recall the scene, but not the actor because he didn't last very long. Remember the gasoline explosion? Yeah. He took part in that.
When the cast is shown a picture of Skarsgård in a bright green shirt and fleece vest (with his orange mocha frappuccino!), it gets immediate laughs. Rihanna exclaims "Oh my God!" as Taylor Kitsch says simultaneously, "That's fantastic!"
"Who is that?" the "True Blood" actor jokingly laughs. "What happened to those shades, by the way? I need those now."
Kitsch's debut role came in "John Tucker Must Die," the teen comedy that follows three scorned girlfriends and their plot to take down their cheating ex. When the "John Carter" star's picture flashes across the screen it's actually normal. He simply looks younger. "That's not bad. That's like next door neighbor welcoming Brittany Snow to the neighborhood," he says, "and then I wanted to have sex with her mom."
Yep, that's totally normal.
The next picture that slides up is Brooklyn Decker in a skimpy yellow bikini—much to her dismay. "No! I knew it was going to be that picture! Why did you do that?"
The actress' first feature film role came in "Just Go With It" where she played Adam Sandler's much younger girlfriend—hence the filmmakers desire to put her in skimpy outfits to enhance her overall sex appeal (as if it was needed).
Mimicking Decker's embarrassment, the guys joke around and Kitsch yells, "Change it! Change it!" as Skarsgård pretends to throw up.
"I'm turning five shades of red right now," Decker says covering her face.
But leave it to Rihanna to talk up the modest actress, "She makes herself blush she's so hot."

Переслать - Selena Gomez: 'Aftershock' Star Eli Roth Is 'Very Smart'
Selena Gomez may be getting her scream queen on in Eli Roth's next flick, "Aftershock." The details of her appearance are still pretty much a big secret, but MTV News had the pleasure of catching up with the singer/actress/perfume designer and learned more about what fans (and maybe even skeptics) can expect from her cameo in the horror film.
"I was in Chile doing a concert," Gomez explained, "and he was shooting a movie called 'Aftershock' and he asked if I wanted to make a cameo. And I did!"
"It's actually a very funny scene with him and I improving. And it's cute," she continued. "Well, I mean, the movie's not cute. It's actually scary, but the scene was cute."
With "Aftershock" under her belt, she hopes to one day work with Roth again. She added, "And so we kind of became friends and hopefully we'll be able to work together again. [He's] very smart."
Roth co-wrote and will star in the film, about a group of friends who must survive an earthquake in Chile. Nicolás López will direct. He also has a screenwriting credit, along with Guillermo Amoedo.
"Aftershock" should drop sometime in 2013. It's a part of Gomez's growing resume of more mature projects, which include the forthcoming "Spring Breakers," as well as a role in Ethan Hawke's next film, the thriller "The Getaway."
Tell us what you think of Gomez's upcoming "Aftershock" cameo in the comments section!
Переслать - Benedict Cumberbatch's 'Star Trek' Role Revealed?
There have been plenty of big questions surrounding the production of J.J. Abrams' upcoming "Star Trek" sequel. What villainous character will Benedict Cumberbatch be playing? Does Leonard Nimoy actually return in the new movie? And just what will the flick be called other than "As Yet Untitled Star Trek Sequel"?
Some of those questions may now have answers (courtesy of the folks over at TrekMovie and Ain't It Cool News), while some of them still remain a mystery (hint: it still doesn't have an official title). If you were looking to keep yourself spoiler-free going into "Star Trek 2," it would be best to turn away now: there are possible spoilers ahead. Consider yourself warned!
Benedict Cumberbatch Will Be Playing ...
Even though we kept hearing repeated denials that Cumberbatch (and everyone else) would be playing Khan in Abrams' alternate "Star Trek" universe, we never gave up our dream that he would be "Trek 2's" big bad. And it turns out our dedication paid off. TrekMovie's sources say Cumberbatch will in fact be exiled Eugenics War leader Khan Noonien Singh, though this won't be a rehash of the "Star Trek" episode "Space Seed" that first introduced the character. If true, we're excited to meet a brand new Khan in 2013, and are thrilled to see what Abrams and Cumberbatch do with the character.Leonard Nimoy Is Coming Back In "Trek 2"
This one doesn't come as too much of a surprise, especially since that recent interview with CNN. But yes, it appears as though Leonard Nimoy will be returning in "Star Trek 2" as Spock Prime. The last we saw was him returning to help the Vulcans who survived Nero's destruction of their planet, but it seems like he still has some work to do to help out the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise. As TrekMovie points out, this will be Nimoy's eighth appearance in a "Star Trek" feature film, which will set a new record. The Sequel Will Feature Klingons
Last but certainly not least, AICN is reporting that Klingons will play a pretty major role in "Trek 2." This also doesn't come as much of a surprise, as deleted scenes from 2009's "Star Trek" showed that they were supposed to be introduced for the first time in that movie. Unfortunately their plot line was cut, but that won't be the case this time around. The Klingon storyline will reportedly still be a subplot, but not one that is so easily discarded.Do any of these reveals surprise you? Tell us in the comments section below or on Twitter!

Переслать - 'Battleship': Real Navy Officers 'Grounded' Film
It's no secret that movie stars have the best jobs. In the case of "Battleship," the cast got to shoot in beautiful Hawaii and work with real Navy seamen to learn from their real life experiences. Sounds real rough!
When MTV News brought Taylor Kitsch, Brooklyn Decker, Alexander Skarsgård and Rihanna back to Hawaii for "MTV First: Battleship," the cast recalled some of their favorite memories of filming in paradise.
"It's a tough office, to have Missouri shut down, and work on it, and to be in battleship row and Pearl Harbor," Kitsch joked. "I'd way rather be in a cubicle. That's just my opinion."
The time Kitsch spent with the real Naval officers ended up being his favorite memories in-between shoots in Hawaii. "It was the actual officers on these and these personal tours we were lucky enough to be a part of," Kitsch said. "On these destroyers, shoot on the USS Hopper, go onto these subs on the weekends and hang out with the true heroes, that was great. That was probably the most I took away from it. And to be in Pearl Harbor, the history here is insane."
Similarly, Decker felt that speaking with the real men and women in the Navy added a layer of believability to the otherwise fantastical premise.
"I think for me specifically, it brought something real to the movie," Decker said. "It's so much fun. It's full of special effects. We have aliens, and we're saving the world. It's big and it's fun, but to have something that's grounded and real and actually do these guys some justice, I think made it that much more important for all of us."

Переслать - Damon Lindelof Begs For A 'Dark Knight Rises' Intervention In Today's Twitter-Wood
My wife:"What's your problem?"Me:"I've buried enough Waynes."My wife:"What?"#SevenViewsAndCounting#DarkKnightRises
— Damon Lindelof (@DamonLindelof) May 1, 2012
Have you seen the final "The Dark Knight Rises" trailer yet?! Wasn't it AMAZING? We were obviously on board from the beginning, but after that trailer, Batman is fighting "The Avengers" for a spot at the forefront of our minds, and we didn't think that was actually possible. "Prometheus" writer Damon Lindelof, who always takes to Twitter for his hilarious commentary, had plenty to say about the video.
"I'm thrilled to see that Tom Hardy's elocution lessons have paid off. #TheRainInSpainFallsMainlyOnTheBane," he wrote, alluding to how audiences can now understand Hardy's lines. He also imagined lines that would exist if he wrote the script, "I've buried enough Waynes. And has my Wayne Tree grown yet? No, Master Bruce, it has not." #IfIWroteDarkKnightRises" He finally begged us for a "TDKR" intervention, "Oh, God, please someone stop me. #ICantStopTheWayne." Never. Ever. It's too hilarious. Please continue!
But don't worry "Avengers" fans, May 1, 2012's Twitter-Wood also features Tom Hiddleston ringing in the NYSE bell with Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders really excited about Tim Horton's coffee and Mark Ruffalo at the Toronto Premiere!

Переслать - 'Prometheus' Spoilers Unbound In New Footage
Have we finally reached the point where any "Prometheus" is too much "Prometheus"? I don't believe so, but I know that after the arrival of the latest international trailer and featurette, some of my colleague at MTV Movies HQ have decided it's time to step away from ancillary "Prometheus" material and just wait until the movie lands in June.
These people have a point. There's no doubt that the newest footage of "Prometheus" reveals and unmasks more than some may have bargained for. Creature design, plot details, possible character deaths… you'll get hints at all of these, some more overt than others, in the new "Prometheus" spots. Personally, all of this just fuels my excitement for Ridley Scott's return to science fiction, but your mileage may vary.
Regardless, you know what awaits you after the break — new footage, and potential spoilers. Move forward cautiously.
First up, the new international trailer, which spends more time on company woman Meredith Vickers (Charlize Theron), reveals fantastic new creature designs, gets up close and personal with the Space Jockey, and more.
Next and last, Scott and the cast of "Prometheus" dive into what makes this movie special, a conversation juxtaposed with all-new footage and story details. Scott describes what the "Prometheus" crew finds in a very interesting way: "A civilization filled with uncivilized behavior." Sounds great to me.
