  • Lea Michele Wishes Cory Monteith 'A Very Special' Birthday!

Guess who's celebrating a milestone birthday today? None other than "Glee" star Cory Monteith! The Canadian cutie may have the baby face to play a teenager on Fox's musical series, but in real life he's turning the big 3-0! His (supposedly) on- and off-screen lady, Lea Michele, took to Twitter—after she finished filming the last scenes for season three!—to wish her friend a very joyful day.

"Glee" has been wrapping production for the actors all week, but last night Lea wrote that it was just her, Cory and Chris Colfer left on set. It's sad to think the show won't be the same when it returns next fall, but we're excited to see where our favorite characters end up!

Speaking about "Glee's" future, Lea wrote, "It's impossible to say how much glee means to me. This year has been so amazing & I cannot WAIT for next year:) It's going to be great. I'm so grateful for our amazing crew and most of all to all of YOU!

"To all of our gleeks out there you all helped make our show what it is I love you all with all my heart! Can't wait to have an amazing summer and see whats next for Rachel Berry in season 4!!!!"

What do you think will happen to the "Glee" graduates next season? Let us know in the comments and on Twitter!

  • CW Picks Up 'Carrie Diaries,' Cancels 'Secret Circle'

    by Elizabeth Lancaster

It's a good day to be Carrie Bradshaw! "The Carrie Diaries" has officially been picked up by The CW and will be coming soon to a small screen near you, Deadline reports. The series follows a young Carrie through her trials and tribulations as a high school student in the 1980s. Similar to its more mature predecessor "Sex and the City," Carrie will ask questions about love, sex, friends and family. AnnaSophia Robb plays the titular aspiring writer while Chloe Bridges and Austin Butler co-star.

Also ordered to series is the re-imagined "Beauty and the Beast." Kristin Kreuk is back on the channel as the looker and will surely bring with her a faithful legion of fans. But most likely, the show's killer storyline will bring in more than enough viewers on its own.

Missing from the list of pilot pickups is "The Selection," based on the dystopian novel by Kiera Cass and starring "Friday Night Lights" actress Aimee Teegarden. And in other disappointing news, TVLine reports that "The Secret Circle" was canceled after a single season. Say it ain't so! We wanted to meet the other Balcoin children!

What do you think about The CW's fall slate? Are you excited to see "The Carrie Diaries"? Disappointed about "The Selection" and "The Secret Circle"? Sound off in the comments and on Twitter!

  • Happy Birthday, Robert Pattinson! Why The 'Twilight' Actor Inspires Us

Hey guys, Sunday is Robert Pattinson's birthday, and we're celebrating a bit early!

As the actor turns 26, he has a lot of great movie projects in the works like the upcoming fever-dream "Cosmopolis" and the war thriller "Mission: Blacklist." He's a busy guy—wanted by fans, press and casting directors—but he still manages to make time for those in need. From auctioning off kisses for a campaign against AIDS to donating thousands of dollars to fund charity projects, we're honoring his big day by taking a look back at all the ways he inspires us!

    1. While in France for the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, RPattz attended the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Cocktail Party where he auctioned off kisses to support the cause. Before host Sharon Stone started the bidding, Rob joked, "Starting at five dollars." But Sharon knew he was worth a lot more than that and opened the bidding at $10,000, to which he added, "And if it goes well, maybe it'll turn into something more." We sure hope so because not one, but two bidders paid $20,000 for a meet-and-greet with Rob along with some smooches. Pucker up!

    2. When a massive earthquake rocked the island of Haiti, a slew of stars came together in multiple cities to raise money during the live televised event, "Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief." The money went towards medical care, food and city repairs. During the event Rob spoke about how the tragedy united the world in a singular cause and asked viewers to raise awareness and donate to the fund. "Unlike any other event in history, our world has been connected to this tragedy because of technology," he said. "Join with those watching and see what they're saying about something we all care deeply about—helping the Haitian people get back on their feet."

    3. In 2010, Rob donated the $80,000 he received from a charity auction to the GO Campaign to build a home dedicated to educating teenage girls in Cambodia. It was a Chicago family who shelled out the cash and won a meet-and-greet with the actor on the set of "Breaking Dawn."

    4. In 2011, he partnered with the charity again and offered up a private screening of "Breaking Dawn - Part 1" for 20 people the night before it hit theaters. Those in attendance also took home a "Twilight" swag bag including signed posters, a replica of Bella's wedding ring and more. If only Donald Trump agreed to be our sugar daddy. Hey, the money would go to a good cause because we'd just bid on charity auctions like this all day!

    5. According to Look to the Stars, back in September 2011, Rob gave money to a homeless street performer in Los Angeles. Luke Jones, who happened to witness the act of kindness, reported the actor returned a few minutes later and gave the man an acoustic guitar. "The busker was totally shell-shocked. He had no idea who Robert was—I think he thought the guitar was stolen," Luke explained. "He was looking left and right, half expecting the police to arrest him."

Well done, RPattz! We hope the good karma returns to you 10-fold on your special day. Happy birthday!

  • 'Vampire Diaries' Star Nina Dobrev On Elena's Tough Choice

Let me start by saying that if you haven't watched last night's epic season three finale of "The Vampire Diaries," you need to click away right now. NO I'M SERIOUS I'M DOING YOU A FAVOR DON'T READ ANY FURTHER OKAY.

All clear? Okay, let's chat about "The Departed." Because BLOODY HELL. Even though Michael Trevino warned us there would be plenty of death and destruction during the episode, we somehow still had it in our head that Elena's Salvatore brother selection would be the most jaw-dropping moment of the night. (Moral: Never underestimate Julie Plec.) But that explains why, when we caught up with Miss Dobrev at the unveiling of her new Got Milk? ad, hours before the finale aired, we asked what her take was on the winner of Elena's affections (and not what she thought about, oh, I don't know, BECOMING A VAMPIRE).

"I understand why she made the decision," Nina said of her alter ego picking Stefan over Damon. "I respect her decision, and I think, having seen the last three years, what's happened in her life, everyone will also. They may not be happy, half the people will not be happy regardless, but they'll get it, and it's her decision at the end of the day."

We couldn't agree with you more, Nina. But tell us this: How did you keep a secret like Elena's death all to yourself? I thought we were besties! Sigh.

Do you think Elena made the right decision? Which Salvatore brother would you pick? Sound off in the comments and on Twitter!

  • Style Superstar: 'Battleship' Star Rihanna Goes Overboard In A Good Way

All hands were on deck for the L.A. premiere of "Battleship" this week, but the fun red-carpet looks from the film's stars were anything but military issue. (We could spend all day ogling Alexander Skarsgård in his perfectly tailored suit! Or, um, out of it.) And when it came time to pick this week's Style Superstar, there was no better place to look than amongst the crew members from the Earth's last stand against evil aliens! Who took home the honors by taking the notion of "dress whites" to a whole new level? And whose ethereal look was dead in the water?

Rihanna's wild white dress and halfway shaved hairstyle were the source of some conflict amongst fashion gossips...but one look at her walking the red carpet, and we're officially feeling the love. The unusual drape of this dress turned it into a show-stopper every time Rihanna moved, and her black-and-white accessories and bright pink lips were a perfect match for her edgy look. And while, okay, the hair is a little...odd, RiRi's ability to carry off unusual cuts is so much a part of her signature style, it's just not possible to hate it. This Style Superstar can sink our battleship anytime.

Also sporting some edge at the premiere: Brooklyn Decker, whose jagged hemline was an unusual twist to this otherwise-staid strapless gown. But instead of embracing the unorthodox aspects of her look and punching it up with some bright heels and bold accessories, Brooklyn opted for staid nude shoes and soft, romantic hair—making it look like her dress was less edgy-on-purpose, and more the result of an unfortunate accident. (Maybe she tore it off to tie up an alien invader.)

  • Long Live 'Gilt,' A Captivating Read

giltI have a confession to make. I have the biggest historical crush on King Henry VIII. I know he had two of his wives beheaded and treated his daughters as if they weren't his own, but I can't help remaining in awe of his legacy. I even follow a parody account on Twitter, own countless books telling of his reign, and as I type this, there's a Henry VIII mug on my desk holding my pens. I've got it bad (it probably helps that Jonathan Rhys Meyers played the infamous royal in "The Tudors"—swoon). So when "Gilt" by Katherine Longshore made its way into my hands, I was beyond thrilled. A YA novel taking place in his majesty's court? I'm sold!

"Gilt" follows Kitty Tylney and Catherine Howard, best friends who live together in the Dowager Dutchess of Norfolk's home. Abandoned by her family and left with no title to help her find a suitable husband, Kitty owes everything she has and is to Cat. Cat is the classic mean girl (even back then they existed). She's beautiful, ambitious, manipulative and will stop at nothing to flirt and charm her way into the royal court, promising to bring Kitty with her.

As the self-proclaimed Queen of Misrule, it doesn't take Cat long to work her way into the palace and King Henry's heart, becoming his fifth wife and Queen of England. Now in a place of true power, her vow comes to fruition and Kitty comes to work in her chamber. The Tudor Court scoops Kitty up in a whirlwind of lavish dresses, luxurious living quarters, lies, betrayal and passion as she must choose between William—the thoughtful, selfless, blond boy with the crooked grin who she won't admit she loves—and Edmund, the mysterious and potentially dangerous man she knows from a haunting past.

But becoming queen doesn't mean Cat will give up her old, mischievous ways—she is only a teenager, after all. Between the loose lips of her old lover and an addiction to the threateningly handsome Thomas Culpepper she's unwilling to shake, Cat's slowly losing control of the perfect life she'd always dreamed. And if Cat loses the love and protection of Henry VIII, she could lose her very head, knocking Kitty's off along the way.

In a time where dystopians rule the literary court, Katherine Longshore reminds readers that our history is filled with excitement, drama and titillating romance if only we take a glance at our past. As an avid Tudor enthusiast (can you tell?), I know how this story ends. But Katherine manages to retell the tale of my least favorite of Henry's six wives in such a unique and captivating way, it usurped my attention and seized my mind. It's a royal read for those with a love of the romanticized era and those who never gave the time period a thought outside of European history class.

Imagine my giddy delight when I found out it's merely the first book in a saga following three girls in King Henry VIII's court. I believe I found my new favorite series. You can pick up a copy on May 15 and see for yourself why I couldn't put the book down.

  • 'Secret Circle' Season 1 Finale Recap: 'Family'

    Secret Circleby Ryan J. Downey

The closing scene of the season one finale of "The Secret Circle" really drove the episode's title home.

After the most action packed episode of the series run thus far—which saw the final revelation about Blackwell and the boat fire 16 years ago, the death of Eben at the hands of Jake, the restoration of witchy power to Charles and Dawn, the unbinding of the Circle, Charles becoming full of demons, all of the crew nearly burning alive, Cassie and Adam playing with darkness (did we mention it was action packed?)—season one drew to a close with a shot of three guys and a girl standing on a cliff overlooking Chance Harbor. Who were those four mysterious figures clad in the show's signature skinny black jeans? FOUR MORE BALCOIN KIDS!

John Blackwell's master plan was revealed to be nothing less than the absolute destruction of all other witches (with the annihilation of witch hunters an afterthought), so nothing would remain but a "pure race" of Balcoin-blooded dark-magic wielders led by him. While fathering children across various circles, Blackwell used the witch hunters as an excuse to send the Circle of Parents (as we like to call them) to that boat where they met their end. Cassie's mom and Adam's dad were on to his plan and tried to eliminate him, but they (obviously) failed. Blackwell wanted this current Circle to be full of orphans so they'd be more vulnerable and susceptible to his influence. He didn't want the crystal skull to stop Eben. He wanted it to burn up every non-Balcoin witch from the inside.

The episode opened with a tender and quiet moment between Grant and Diana, who had fallen asleep in Grant's car. They talked seriously about running away together, but the persistent texts from half-sister Cassie reminded Diana that Faye was still being held captive by Eben and the witch hunters. Eben called Cassie using Faye's phone and told her he would exchange Faye for one of the crystals. Why one? He just wanted to make sure they couldn't finish the crystal skull.

Even with the revelations about Blackwell from last week's episode, everyone in the Circle but Diana agreed that they must use Blackwell and the skull to save Faye. After some arguing at the Secret Circle Clubhouse, the one-time Secret Sibling reluctantly went along with Cassie to meet their father by some picturesque water and trees. Blackwell revealed that assembling the skull would cause their Circle to become unbound. This gave Diana even more reason to distrust him but Cassie convinced her it would be the only way to guarantee Faye's survival.

Meanwhile, Adam, Melissa and Jake were staking out the ferry where the witch hunters were holding Faye, which happened to be the boat where the fire took place 16 years ago. A remorseful and distraught Charles finally came full circle (sorry about that pun) and together with Dawn, implored his mother to restore their power so they could help save the kids. She said their power couldn't be restored but she offered to give them her own power instead, which they readily accepted.

The Balcoins assembled the skull together, using a spell, fire and water. Just touching it, they were all clearly enraptured by its power. Blackwell finally revealed his true nature to the girls when they insisted on holding onto the skull themselves. He knocked them unconscious and took them away.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Circle felt like their hearts skipped a beat as they became unbound. Adam was able to stop Jake from foolheartedly rushing into the boat by himself by using his solo magic. He decided to race off to find Diana and Cassie (they were all assuming that they became unbound because someone had been killed, perhaps) leaving Melissa and Jake at the boat, where they decided to rush in themselves. Faye was able to free herself (and briefly call her mom, with the pair acknowledging in a goosebumps-inducing moment that they were aware of each other's witchy-ness) and kick some witch hunter butt ("who's the little girl now?" was a particularly great line) but her, Jake and Melissa all ended up tied to a pole and nearly burned alive by Eben in a very Salem Witch Trials-looking scene.

Dawn rescued them from the flames as Charles took on Eben, chanting a spell that caused the worm-like demons to jump from Eben and climb into Charles instead. Just as Eben declared, "This isn't over,", Jake appeared with a knife and countered, "It is for you" as he stabbed his former witch hunter boss to death.

Consumed by the demons, Charles looked at Dawn and the kids on the boat and said, "Tell Diana I love her" and then jumped in the water. It was yet another story point that hit on the episode's title, as Charles (and his mother) drew strength from the idea that Diana is their family regardless of Blackwell's bloodline.

Over at the Secret Circle Clubhouse, Cassie and Diana awoke to find themselves trapped in a ring of fire worthy of Johnny Cash while their father worked on some sketchy spell with the skull. That's when he revealed his plan. To be fair, Cassie had finally pieced most of it together herself and her father just sort of admitted to the various points as she spelled them out. But the juiciest revelation from Blackwell's mouth was that he had fathered four more kids in four other Circles and they were all heading to Chance Harbor to be a "Family," hence the episode's super-awesome title.

As he went on and on about his master plan as most super villains do, Adam arrived and was almost able to knock the skull over. But Blackwell started tossing him around like a rag doll as the rest of the witches began to burn from the inside. In an awesome scene, Cassie decided to attack her sister in order to force her to use her own dark magic, as she realized the pair of them would have a chance of defeating Blackwell that none of them could have alone.

The girls were able to break from their little prison and together neutralize Blackwell (Dead? Comatose? It wasn't clear) and wrest the skull from him at the same time. The skull, by the way, had turned black during Blackwell's spell. Back at Cassie's house, she apologized to the entire Circle for ever trusting Blackwell.

The "Family" title took on another meaning as well, as by episode's end, the crew realized they didn't need to be "bound" by blood or magic to be a family together. However, Diana still insisted on leaving town with Grant. Faye, meanwhile, was in a celebratory mood (after all, she's wanted her solo magic back for a long time!), boozing it up with Melissa and insisting they hit the town, regardless of the fact that Chance Harbor is pretty boring on a Sunday night. Adam was elected to go and deal with the skull (Jake said something funny about all of his moral merit badges, in one of two scenes where the one-time rivals begrudgingly acknowledged a new fondness for each other), but we have to say he looked like he was enjoying being with the skull a little too much. Speaking of which, Cassie noticed her hand now has the same mark as her father and she seemed to be enjoying that a bit much, as well. Jake found a note from his grandfather (along with a mysterious object) saying the struggle has really only just begun. Diana saw she had the same mark on her hand, but didn't have a devilish smile about it like her half-sister.

But most important was that closing shot of the four Balcoin kids, backs turned to the camera, about to make their descent into town. And into season two!

  • 'Vampire Diaries' Season 3 Finale Recap: 'The Departed'

    by Cassie Title

Honestly, I'm not even sure how I'm writing this right now. I mean, I know that I'm sitting on a dining room table, my fingers are typing, and I'm alive and everything, but considering the MASSIVE AMOUNT OF HOLY SH-- moments that occurred during last night's "Vampire Diaries," life just seems so unreal. Because the show seems so unreal! I don't even think I'm real! I am losing my grip on reality, and I don't know how I'll continue functioning without parsing everything I care about concerning "The Departed." So, it's a good thing that I write these recaps. Or else I would just be writing into my computer screen, addressing paragraphs to no one, and asking myself: Self, what is reality?

Okay, enough of this nonsense. I was not looking forward to this episode for obvious reasons (it was the season finale) but mostly because I knew that we wouldn't be learning anything history-wise, or mythology-wise, or Original-wise. But I still managed to scream at my TV and scare my neighbors, despite this very serious lack. And that is saying something! It is saying something, indeed.

Let's get it out of the way, now. Three paragraphs in. Do not read on if you haven't watched. It's going to be just awful for you, I know it. Kind of like that time that I decided to reread every "Harry Potter" book before reading the sixth and my idiot of a friend told me, despite the fact that I put my fingers in my ears and shouted at her that I had not yet read it, that Dumbledore died. Because, guess what. People died. Two of them, at least (although it's kind of murky). Let's go with at least one. And that one is...

ELENA. Yes! You read that right. It's crazy, isn't it? Hasn't she "died" so many times before? BUT THIS TIME IT IS REAL! Elena freaking died! I legitimately can't believe it. I'm still in shock. Somebody reach through cyberspace and pinch me! Here's how it happened:

Top Shocker: After Elena fell and knocked her head last episode, Jeremy took her to the hospital, where Meredith treated her. Everything seemed to be fine, the operative word being "seemed." That's because she actually suffered a brain hemorrhage, and Meredith gave her vampire blood to heal her. Nobody knew this, though, not even Stefan, when he tried to save Matt and Elena from drowning in Matt's car when Rebekah stood in the middle of the road and caused them to crash off Wickery Bridge. In a nice parallel to when he saved her when her parents' car crashed, Elena told him to save Matt first, just as her father did for her. And Stefan, being Stefan, obliged. So when he brought Elena up to the surface, she was dead. Then she was in the hospital, and she was still dead. But then her eyes opened. It was just like Bella's at the end of "Breaking Dawn," which upset me, because "Twilight" is not my favorite (apologies to all you Twilighters; it's just that "TVD" as a show is INFINITELY BETTER). And now, oh my, oh my god, OH MY FREAKING GOD: ELENA IS A VAMPIRE!

Shocker No. 2: Bonnie's a sneaky little witch! She asked Damon to leave her alone with Klaus' coffin to savor his demise. Except, it seemed suspicious to me at the time, and I was right! Bonnie pulled a Greta and switched Klaus' and Tyler's bodies! And Alaric staked Klaus! Except he really staked Tyler! So Tyler's dead? Right? He has to be? Oh no? I understand that Bonnie did what she did to save Caroline and her mother, but if Tyler is truly dead (actually, even if he isn't), and when Caroline finds out (and believe you me, she will find out) Vampire Barbie is NEVER, EVER, EVER going to forgive Bonnie.

Shocker No. 3: Maybe not too much of a shocker, but Elena chose Stefan. What was cool about the choice was that when we thought Klaus had been staked, Damon was an hour away from Mystic Falls, and Elena was with Matt, en route to see him. So Elena was actually forced to make the decision: Who was she going to say goodbye to? She called Damon with a heartfelt goodbye, and told him that no matter what she felt for him, she'll never un-feel for Stefan. So she did the famous Katherine/Elena line: It's Stefan. It's always gonna be Stefan. And my heart died a little bit for the third time, and then she said: Maybe if I had met you first. Which leads me to:

Shocker No. 4: This is the coolest, most amazing thing of this episode. Because never once did I think that Damon had met Elena first. But he did! Amidst all the flashbacks to the night that Elena's parents died, we had one that occurred not too long before Stefan saved her from drowning. And what happened literally blew my mind. I'm not kidding, my brain was on fire. Damon saw Elena, mistook her for Katherine (obviously) and then they talked! And there was instant chemistry! And he told her that she wanted a love that consumed her (which is funny, because she describes Damon as consuming her), a love that was passionate, and a love that was a little dangerous. And then he told her that he wanted her to have everything she wanted, and then he compelled her so that she didn't remember meeting him, because that would upset his whole getting Katherine out of the tomb thing (too bad we all know how poorly that worked out.) But HOLY SMOKES! DAMON MET HER FIRST! CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW THINGS WOULD'VE PLAYED OUT IF SHE KNEW THAT? DO YOU THINK EVEN STEFAN KNOWS THAT? OH MY FREAKING GOD.

Other things, that are probably not as shocking as the above shockers:

Since Elena died, Alaric died, too. Goodbye, psycho Ric. Goodbye, lovely history teacher. You shall be missed, in all your forms.

Since Evil Alaric had outed Tyler and Caroline to the council, the Mayor and the Sheriff urged their offspring to skip town. Which they planned on doing, before Caroline found out who she thought was Klaus died, and who she thought was Tyler convinced her to leave the cave because he pretended to transform. All of this happened right after who she thought was Tyler told her she had a great future ahead of her, and she was strong, and could live without him and such, and it was all very reminiscent of Klaus' slightly creepy I-can-show-you-the-world Aladdin speech to her, and guess what! It's because it really was Klaus, mwahahaha!

Everyone was so confused about why all our fave vamps weren't dying once Klaus bit the dust (because they would've died if Klaus, who sired their bloodline, died.) And that's because it was really Tyler! AGGH!

Elena's a vampire. Okay, so REALLY IMPORTANT. And already mentioned. Just needed MAJOR, MAJOR, INSANE EMPHASIS because HOLY HELL I don't believe it.

Until twenty-thousand days from now (at least that's what it feels like)...

Are you still in shock? Were you surprised by, well, everything? Is Tyler actually dead? Can you believe Elena's a vampire? How will this affect her, considering she really did not want this? Did choosing Stefan end the triangle, or has us finding out that she actually met Damon first and her becoming a vampire changed things? Can you believe Bonnie did what she did? When will everyone find out, and will she be forgiven? When is everyone going to find out that Klaus is now in Tyler's body? Is Klaus gonna milk it for all it's worth and try to get freaky with Caroline? Is Matt okay? Are Rebekah and Elijah going to figure out what really happened, or go after our fave vamps because they're still alive?

There are so many more questions! Please ask them. And answer them! I NEED YOUR THOUGHTS BECAUSE I CAN'T HANDLE MY OWN! We have so much time to discuss in the comments, or on Twitter, or on any other social media engine you may desire. Because we all have thinking to do! And guessing to do. And none of us can handle our excitement or our obsession or our unwillingness to wait however long we have to wait to watch new episodes. So converse with me, friends, all summer long! Then we won't miss anything at all.

  • Jonas Brothers Unite For Next Album

It's been almost three years since the Jonas Brothers released "Lines, Vines and Trying Times"—their fourth studio album featuring their hit single "Paranoid." Later that year, the band decided to take a break allowing them to pursue independent careers. And now, after Kevin's marriage, Nick's stint in musical theater and Joe's solo time in the studio, our favorite band of brothers is back together recording some tunes as a trio!

There's no word on what it'll sound like yet, but seeing this picture of Nick playing the piano, we know the JoBros will be involved in every aspect—playing their own instruments and writing their lyrics. After the announcement that Nick's Broadway musical "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" will close May 20 (sad face!), he tweeted, "Excited about my next adventure - I know 2 guys who are happy I'll be back in the studio to write again! @KevinJonas @JoeJonas #JB2012."

And don't think the peeks of them working stop at Instagram photos either. When MTV News caught up with Joe and talk turned to Kevin and wife Daniella's new E! series "Married to Jonas," he told us we'll see snippets of them in the studio on the show.

"The primary focus is on Kevin and Dani and the in-laws and the [Deleasa] family there but, of course, me and Nick are going to be on it quite a bit," he explained. "'Cause we're just writing and working with Kevin, obviously."

    Until next time, Tweet Dreams!

  • New 'True Blood' Season 5 Posters: Does This Mean Tara Lives?

    by Elizabeth Lancaster

From the final moments we spent in Bon Temps it seemed "True Blood"'s fifth season might begin with a funeral for our favorite tough-talking character—Sookie's best friend, Tara. But a new series of promotional posters released ahead of the series' return give us hope for Tara's future, seeing as the mortal makes an appearance among the drama's other stars—and she's looking just like her fierce self.

Though, to be honest, we wouldn't put it past "True Blood" producers to pull a fast one on us. Nevertheless, there's Tara alongside our fave fanged ones like Bill and Eric, plus new baddie Christopher Meloni, who plays a member of the Vampire Authority.

Speaking of foes, this season seems to be chock-full of them. In the season four finale, and in these posters, we see the return of Russell Edgington and former Fellowship of the Sun leader Steve Newlin.

"True Blood" has already reminded us that "Waiting sucks," and this time around they're declaring, "Everything is at stake." We're thinking pun intended!

    "True Blood" returns June 10.

Check out all the posters on the series' official Facebook page.

Are you happy that Tara might be returning? Sound off in the comments and on Twitter!
