- Jennifer Lawrence Bags First Endorsement Deal With Dior
Every rising starlet needs a favorite designer to dress her, and every major name in fashion needs a muse...and therefore, it's no surprise that after having a very big year in Hollywood, Jennifer Lawrence has added another line to her resume: her very first luxury endorsement.
The "Hunger Games" actress is the latest celeb to score with Dior (according to the brand's website), teaming up with Raf Simons to become the face of the Miss Dior bag. (And suddenly, "a face like a leather bag" no longer seems like such a terrible thing to have. Hooray for bagface! We want one, too!)
Jennifer's first product partnership is a stylish little number for sure, a petite leather purse with a chain strap that can be worn over the shoulder or carried like a clutch. And while we doubt she'll be toting it around on the "Catching Fire" set (the teensy bag is hardly practical for surviving the brutal trials of the Quarter Quell), no doubt the new affiliation with Dior will be a boon to her already-spectacular red carpet style. Look forward to seeing Jennifer adore Dior when the campaign launches next spring!
(Thanks for the heads-up, The Hob!)

Переслать - Stephen Amell Shoots His 'Arrow' As Our Hump Day Hottie
We assume just by looking at him that Stephen Amell has good aim as the star of The CW's superhero series "Arrow." But we know for certain that he's shooting straight for our hearts. His show kicks off this week, and to prepare for the shirtless vigilante justice that'll take place on our TV screens, we have bestowed the title of Hump Day Hottie on Stephen.
Check out this dreamy photo of Stephen and keep reading for more details about him!
Vital stats: The 31-year-old grew up in Canada. And, here's a fun fact we uncovered about this week's choice babe: He is the older cousin of "Pretty Little Liars" cutie Eric Kahn, played by Robbie Amell. It seems hotness is genetic for the Amell clan.
Where you might have already seen him: "Arrow" hardly marks Stephen's first foray on the small screen. His previous credits include roles on "The Vampire Diaries," "90210," "Hung," "New Girl," "Private Practice" and "Heartland."
Why you should take notice of him now: He's playing a billionaire turned vigilante (our favorite kind, BTW). Quick back story for those tuning in tonight: Oliver Queen returns home after five years on a deserted island, bring with him not only abs of steel (I mean, plenty of time to work on them!), but also a thirst for justice.
Until next week, when we choose another Hump Day Hottie, you can salute Stephen by gawking the photo above!

Переслать - Not-Yet-Released 'Black City' Books Are Already Going Big-Screen
Not to tear you away from your obsessive googling for news from the set of "Catching Fire," but fans of YA literature who are looking for their next big-screen obsession might want to pay attention to this latest intel from The Hollywood Reporter: a movie deal for the soon-to-be-released "Black City" series by author Elizabeth Richards. The first book in the fantasy franchise hasn't even hit stores yet, but Screen Gems has already snapped up film rights and is looking for a writer to work the adaptation.
"Black City" is one of this year's most anticipated books, offering up a new, exciting take on some well-traveled fantasy fiction territory, featuring a landscape torched by terrible wars between humans and...well, not humans. In this case, it's a Darkling race that lives over a high wall in a segregated city—and it's a half-Darkling boy who serves as the tormented, forbidden object of lust for the story's human heroine. Sexy! Spooky! SEXY! And however you'd rather get your first "Black City" fix, be it in print or on screen, it's definitely a title to watch.
"Black City" hits bookstore shelves November 13.
Will you be adding "Black City" to your to-do list?

Переслать - Nikki Reed Reassures 'Twilight' Fans: The Dog Bowl Scene Is a Go
If you're a "Twilight" fan who's been paying close attention to "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" buzz, you've no doubt been part of the ongoing worry and speculation about whether the book's beloved "dog bowl" scene, a climactic moment between Jacob and Rosalie involving projectile pet dishes, would survive the translation to a cinematic medium. (And if you haven't been worrying about the dog bowl scene, then shame on you. How dare you call yourself a fan?!) But while there's still no guarantee that this fan favorite moment will actually appear in the film, we can all breathe a sigh of relief thanks to Nikki Reed, who confirmed:
"We did shoot the dog bowl scene."
YAAAAAAAAY!
And there's more: "In fact, we shot it enough times for my head to hurt," the actress said, going on to explain that the repeated shoots of the scene required that she get hit over and over with "various items that I'm sure, at some point, would be CGI-ed into dog bowls."
And while time constraints mean that said scene may end up being part of a DVD special feature rather than the theatrical release, fans aren't the only ones who think the dog bowl needs to make it into the movie. Says Nikki, "After all that suffering, I needed that scene to end up somewhere!"
Are you desperate to see the dog bowl scene?
Переслать - Anne Hathaway Attached To Mindy Kaling-Penned Project: The Next Great Rom-Com?
Few things make us quite so giddy as when our favorite Hollywood starlets team up like some crime-fighting superheroine duo with really great hair. So we were all kinds of enthused when we read the news this morning (via The Hollywood Reporter) that Anne Hathaway has signed on to star in a romantic comedy co-written by Mindy Kaling!
The film is titled "The Low Self-Esteem of Lizzie Gillespie," and was described thusly by the trade: "The story centers on a woman whose lack of self-worth has limited her choice in men to losers. When she is about to hit the bottom of the barrel, life takes an unexpected turn when she is pursued by the hottest guy ever."
The script, which Mindy wrote with Brent Forrester, appeared on the Black List (Hollywood's roll call of the best unproduced scripts) in 2009, which speaks to its quality, but there are plenty of other clues that lead us to believe this could be The Next Great Rom-Com.
First, rather obviously, is the star power of Anne Hathaway, whose career in the early aughts was built playing slightly awkward, girl-next-door types (we're looking at you Mia Thermopolis). Though she's anything but an ugly duckling, Anne's gamine looks lend themselves to both sexy seductresses (Catwoman) and Everywomen (Liz in "Bride Wars").
One can't really go wrong casting Anne in his/her movie, but the most promising aspect of this project for us has to Mindy's contribution. Though only two episodes into her Fox series, we're slightly obsessed with the comedy, which is funny and sweet without verging on the saccharine. And if you tuned into the pilot, you know Mindy is obsessed with romantic comedies, most notably the films of the late Nora Ephron, which include "Sleepless in Seattle" and "You've Got Mail." In fact, in a remembrance of the screenwriter, Mindy said she was one of her biggest inspirations.
"Nora Ephron has been the single most influential person to me as an artist," Mindy wrote. "It is one thing to be a talented writer—which she was, obviously—it is quite another to be a person who created and curated worlds that I (and millions and millions of other people) wanted to disappear into. Her characters were smart, funny, neurotic, but always hopeful. Hopefulness is everything."
Though we'd never expect a carbon copy of Nora's winning work, a script in the Ephron tradition, penned by Mindy, would be a much-welcomed (not to mention, needed) addition to the rom-com canon.

Переслать - Michelle Trachtenberg Heralds 'Gossip Girl''s Return
The sixth and final season of The CW's "Gossip Girl" premieres tonight, and one star, at least, couldn't mask her enthusiasm behind a pair of oversized sunglasses or tight-lipped smile. Michelle Trachtenberg, otherwise known as mischief-maker Georgina Sparks, took to Twitter to divulge her not-so-closely kept secret.
Finally......season 6 of #GossipGirl premieres tonight. Are you ready? xoxo, Georgina
— MichelleTrachtenberg (@RealMichelleT) October 8, 2012
We've followed the goings on of the Upper East Side's most fashionable flock for five years now, so it will certainly be hard XOXO-ing them good-bye. That being said, we are enthused about one reveal yet to come: namely, the unmasking of Gossip Girl herself.
On Friday, producers Stephanie Savage and Sara Goodman let slip that the blogger's true identity will be revealed before the season's end. (You'll remember Georgina, for a time, took over the gossip site).
