- 'Hobbit: Unexpected Journey' Will Have An Extended Cut For Video Release
"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" might be hitting theaters on December 14, but don't think that's all there is to see of the first part of Bilbo Baggins' adventure.
Warner Bros. has announced as part of the studio's 90th anniversary line-up that an extended edition of "An Unexpected Journey" will hit store shelves during the fourth quarter of 2013. Our guess is that the film will likely come out around the holiday season and will likely be tied in with the release of the second "The Hobbit" film, "The Desolation of Smaug."
We have no idea how director Peter Jackson has any extra scenes for this collection. He's already stretched "The Hobbit" from two to three movies because he had a longer story that he wanted to tell, but we're impressed that he has even more deleted scenes that he feels he can add to that. We're just clueless as to what they could possibly be.
Hopefully there are as many behind-the-scenes featurettes as the "Lord of the Rings" extended editions had, because those are details we love to know. How great would a documentary explaining what happened in the time between when "The Lord of the Rings" wrapped and "The Hobbit" finally started shooting be? It would give Guillermo del Toro a chance to be more of a part of "The Hobbit" universe, as he almost directed the movie(s) himself.
Our other hope is that Warner Bros. designs "The Hobbit" extended editions to fit together alongside the ones we have for "The Lord of the Rings." It's very likely that these will be released on Blu-ray or in a Blu-ray/DVD set, but we just want them to look and be styled like the boxes we already have sitting on our shelves. That doesn't seem like it's too much to ask.
"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" is due in theaters on December 14, 2012. "The Desolation of Smaug" will hit theaters on December 13, 2013 with "There and Back Again" following on July 18, 2014.

Переслать - Bond Documentary 'Everything Or Nothing' Is A Must Watch
Tomorrow, October 5, marks the 50th anniversary of the release of "Dr. No" and the birth of a movie icon. Fittingly, the world has turned its attention to James Bond over the last few weeks, in the lead-up to the golden anniversary and the release of the newest 007 adventure, "Skyfall."
For fans of the series, "Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007" is something you cannot afford to miss. The new documentary from director Stevan Riley, premieres October 5 on the EPIX channel, and we are proud to bring you an exclusive clip from the film.
Click past the jump to learn more about "Everything or Nothing."
The feature-length documentary succeeds because of what it isn't. Instead of being a horning blowing, hour-and-a-half commercial for the also fantastic "Bond 50" Blu-ray set and "Skyfall," "Everything or Nothing" takes a surprisingly honest approach to retelling the tale behind the franchise.
When a film series lasts 50 years, there will inevitably be some troubles, and James Bond had more than his far share. Most of the early problems had to do with Sean Connery and his disputes with producers Saltzman and Broccoli and Kevin McClory's repeated attempts to cash in on the series, and these aspects of the story are handled relatively objectively, relying on the accounts the people who lived it to give their opinions. (Connery did not participate in interviews for the documentary, making him the only Bond unaccounted for.)
"Everything or Nothing" covers the series' history from the beginning to the present and offers many, many interesting facts along the way. The interviews with the past Bonds stand out as highlights. George Lazenby recounts sleeping with multiple women every day. Roger Moore defends his campy take on the character. Timothy Dalton thoroughly convinces the viewer that he deserved more of a fair shake, and Pierce Brosnan admits that he doesn't remember any of his other movies besides "GoldenEye."
All of this comes together in a loving portrait of one of the great film series. Even a casual fan can appreciate the love and effort that went into making these films, and we challenge anyone to walk away from "Everything or Nothing" without wanting to revisit Bond.
"Everything or Nothing" premieres on EPIX on October 5.
Переслать - This 'Lincoln' Preview Won Last Night's Debate
By Colin Greten
The country was in a political mood yesterday, as many tuned in to watch the much anticipated first debate between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney. While, everyone watched the two discuss their policies, Disney released a new TV spot for Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln," which premieres November 9, a little over a week after Election Day.
The spot was aired on CBS, ABC, and CNN and was perfectly planned with everyone's mind on the Presidency. While, we are not in a war amongst ourselves, there is still great turmoil in this country and Americans are looking for the candidate to lead us out of it.
The "Lincoln" clip shows the former President dealing with similar or even greater turmoil as he tries to keep the country together despite Civil War and the looming abolishment of slavery.
As Obama and Romney battled to win votes, Disney tried to prove that two time Academy Award winner, Daniel Day-Lewis can pull off the larger than life persona of Abraham Lincoln. The clip builds up to Day-Lewis' most powerful line in which he explains that he is, "The President of the United States of America, clothed in immense power!" As the Presidential Election grows closer and becomes more heated, expect more "Lincoln" television spots and hype.
"Lincoln" opens in limited release on November 9.
Переслать - You Could Win An 'Arrested Development' Walk-On Role
Sure, it's great that "Arrested Development" is coming back for a brand new season of episodes on Netflix, but do you ever get the feeling that you wish you could do more? You love the cult show so much that you'd like to help, right?
Well, a new contest from Netflix and "Arrested Development" could give you the opportunity to win one of six walk-on roles during the new season. The contest, appropriately called "You're Gonna Get Some Walk-Ons," calls for fans of the show to prove their dedication through a video, photo, art, or anything that shows you're the biggest "AD" fan ever.
The cast and producers will then pick six winners from all of the entries for special walk-on roles during the new season.
As some inspiration for your #BluthWalkOn project, Entertainment Weekly assembled the reunited cast for their first photoshoot since production began on the new season. The photo, which is one of four covers of EW's reunions issue, makes us happy to no end.
As the judges of the competition, the stars of "Arrested Development" are particularly excited about the walk-ons. For evidence of this enthusiasm, look no further than this video featuring Michael Cera and shot by series creator Mitch Hurwitz. Cera might not know what's going on, but he sure looks happy.
You can submit your entries to YoureGonnaGetSomeWalkOns.com or by using the hashtag #BluthWalkOn on Twitter, Instagram or Tumblr. All entries are due by October 16, 2012.

Переслать - 'Wreck-It Ralph' International Trailer Pushes All The Right Buttons
What happens when a video game villain doesn't want to be the bad guy anymore? That's the story that Disney's new animated feature "Wreck-It Ralph" explores, hopefully to good results.
The studio has released an international trailer for the movie that shows us more of the video game worlds that are visited in the flick. Like the familiar characters we're going to see in "Wreck-It Ralph," we hope the film journeys to places we recognize like Hyrule and the Mushroom Kingdom. We couldn't help but see some "Mario Kart" in Vanellope von Schweetz's little racing sequence.
When we caught up with Vanellope's voice actress, Sarah Silverman, at Comic-Con, she teased that we're going to be seeing a lot of her little character behind the wheel of a car in "Wreck-It Ralph." That last scene between her and Ralph in the trailer was pretty darn adorable, so that sounds like it's something we should look forward to.
"I found it to be kind of beautiful and I connect to it, whether it's real or not," she said of the movie. "You realize that Ralph is the same way. He wants to have love. He doesn't want to be the bad guy. I think we share that. We clash at first but we realize we have family in each other, and we realize that your biggest downfall or your glitch can sometimes be your superpower. It's beautiful!"
"Wreck-It Ralph" hits theaters on November 2.

Переслать - 'Lords Of Salem' Trailer: What The Hell Just Happened?
Rob Zombie's recent track record surrounding the reboot of the classic "Halloween" series didn't fare well with some genre fans, but ever since the musician-turned-director started releasing teasers for the upcoming "Lords of Salem," horror fiends got excited by the dark, cult-inspired imagery.
With a cast including genre vets like scream queen Dee Wallace ("The Howling"), Barbara Crampton ("Re-Animator"), and Sid Haig ("The Devil's Rejects")—and Zombie's wife and muse Sheri Moon Zombie, of course—the filmmaker's newest taps into an ancient evil, and we finally have a trailer to witness the witchy bacchanal for ourselves.

"The Lords of Salem" follows a DJ, Heidi (Sheri Moon), and her pals as they head to the haunted city of Salem after a mysterious package arrives on their doorstep inviting them to play a gig. The note simply reads: "A gift from the Lords." When the friends land in the Halloween city, they quickly discover that a 300-year-old coven of witches has descended upon the Massachusetts town, and the ominous Lords of Salem are out for blood.
Check out the over-the-top clip below that features lap dances on goats, corpse paint, and a supremely dramatic musical overture. The imagery recalls the films of Stanley Kubrick and Ken Russell. Let us know if the Lords can summon you to theaters. No release date has been announced at this time, but the film makes its European premiere at Stiges next week.

Place in Bond History: Dame Judi Dench made her debut as the first female M of the series, and Brosnan, after initially being cast in "The Living Daylights," finally got his shot at 007.
Review:
For as solid of a debut as "GoldenEye" is for Pierce Brosnan, it's difficult not to feel a mix of emotions when revisiting his first Bond movie. There is so much here that is so right. Brosnan nails down his own version of 007 from the very beginning. Sean Bean made for one hell of a villain, but doesn't show up nearly enough. Martin Campbell flat-out knows how to make an excellent James Bond movie. All the pieces are there, but any bit of looking ahead at the rest of Brosnan's run inevitable leaves you with the sinking feeling that this is as good as it's going to get. The story and action will never be as straight forward, and Bond's depth and inner conflict largely disappear.
But on its own terms, "GoldenEye" succeeds as a Bond film and as a relaunch of the series after lawsuits caused a six year gap between films.
The Bond-a-Thond will return next week in "Tomorrow Never Dies."
