Переслать - Wally Pfister Wants Christian Bale For Directorial Debut
Wally Pfister has some big plans for his upcoming directorial debut. After starting talks with Johnny Depp earlier this week to headline the movie, he's admitted that he's hoping Christian Bale will also star in the film.
The Los Angeles Times has the news, saying that Bale has "been in Pfister's sights." Considering Pfister is something of Christopher Nolan's protégé, with Nolan even executive producing "Transcendence" with his wife/partner Emma Thomas, it would make sense that Pfister would have a shot getting Bale on board.
The movie is going to shoot in Los Angeles this winter, and will apparently have three leads. Actors like Noomi Rapace, James McAvoy, Tobey Maguire and Christoph Waltz are all reportedly up for roles. According to Comic Book Movie, the film will follow "a man who creates a computer that develops a malevolent awareness." Depp will play "a husband who gets sucked into the computer." The project is supposed to have a very Nolan sensibility.
As for Depp, Pfister has nothing but kind words to say about the actor. "I'm thrilled and feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Johnny. He is a creative and intelligent artist whom I feel will bring great depth to the character and the overall narrative," he told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this week.

Переслать - 'Bond 24' Brings Back 'Skyfall' Writer, Will Open In Fall 2014
We're still two week away from "Skyfall" coming ashore stateside, but the early rave reviews about the newest James Bond adventure have already left diehard fans clamoring for word about "Bond 24."
But now, thanks to a report from the Daily Mail, you not only have "Skyfall" to look forward to, but a Bond 24 written solely by John Logan and probably hitting theaters in November 2014.
We previously knew that Daniel Craig has signed up for "Bond 24" and "25," taking his total number of movies as 007 to five, and that director Sam Mendes would be unlikely to return, but signing up the co-writer of "Skyfall" for a solo screenwriting job and setting a solid release window for two years from now give us the clearest picture yet for the future of Bond.
Though it's no surprise that producer Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli would want to recreate the magic of "Skyfall," considering the rave reviews it's earned so far, and bringing Logan back is the natural first step, but in doing so, they're leaving behind Robert Wade and Neal Pruvis, who have written for the series since "The World Is Not Enough." Logan is a three-time Academy Award nominee, who is getting most of the credit for "Skyfall"'s smart script.
"Bond 24" will likely go into production next year to prepare for the November 2014 release window.
"Skyfall" opens in the US on November 9 and should be seen by anyone who likes James Bond and good movies in general.

Переслать - Adam Sandler To Go West With 'Ridiculous 6'
Adam Sandler is going to be getting his spoof on in his next movie.
Deadline is reporting that Sandler is working on a comedy western for Paramount Pictures called "Ridiculous 6." Though the plot hasn't been announced, we can guess the direction the film is headed in based on its title. It might not be quite as catchy, but this film seems to be a riff off "The Magnificent Seven." It will start shooting in April 2013.
That film, of course, is a remake of the Akira Kurosawa movie "Seven Samurai." To speak generally, both projects follow a group of seven warriors (samurai in "Seven Samurai," gunmen in "Magnificent Seven") who are hired by a group of villagers to protect them from invading bandits. It's an iconic tale, but it's easy to see how Sandler could spin it into a comedy. At least it's a bit different than what he's done recently, since he hasn't played a character much different than his Adam Sandler persona since 2008's "You Don't Mess with the Zohan."
Next year, Sandler is starring in "Grown Ups 2," the sequel to his 2010 film "Grown Ups." He's at the point in his career where he can gather together many of his comedian friends to star in movies together like he did in the "Grown Ups" movies. Though "Ridiculous 6" is, for lack of a better word, a ridiculous title, it could be fun to see a "Grown Ups"-style cast come together for the project. We'd love to see Kevin James and Rob Schneider in a pair of chaps.

Переслать - 'The Exorcist' Is Even More Hilarious As An 80s Sitcom
Halloween is typically all about the screams when it comes to watching movies, but shouldn't there be some room for a laugh or two? That's why the folks over at Film School Rejects re-edited one of the scariest movies of all time, "The Exorcist," into a friendly, funnier 1980s sitcom.
There's a laugh track, fluffy opening credits, and hilarious green vomit. It has all the hallmarks of classic family-friendly comedy…with some possession as an added bonus.

Переслать - Korean Old Man Halle Berry Wins 'Cloud Atlas' Transformation Contest
The obvious talking point when it comes to "Cloud Atlas" is the many transformations the actors make to fit within the interweaving stories on the screen. Some are less extensive than others, but some change Halle Berry into an old Korean man.
That transformation in particular earned the highest marks from her co-star, Jim Sturgess, when MTV spoke with the cast.
"I think Halle had some of the biggest transformations. She played an older person, she played a man that was Korean. I remember having to have a conversation with her while we were shooting that scene," Jim Sturgess said.
"It was the most surreal kind of messed-up moment. We were talking about her kid and how she's integrating into German schools, but she was dressed as this bizarre-looking Korean man with rotting teeth. It tripped my head up. I had to go sit in a corner for five minutes and get my head together."
Berry, on the other hand, had a hard time recognizing Ben Whishaw on the set of the film's most futuristic story, and Hanks recalled not knowing about his role at all. "I didn't recognize Ben Whishaw when he was in the hut scene [with us]," she said. "And he was in the whole scene."
"How about that? So Ben Whishaw, who is in a third of the movie, I didn't know he was in that scene until I saw the movie in Toronto," Hanks said. "Who was he? I didn't know he was there that day."
"Cloud Atlas" opens today in theaters. Go see it.

Переслать - Twi-Fight Saga Rages Into Round Two
First, there were 64 vampire, werewolf, and human combatants in the Twi-Fight Saga, the ultimate "Twilight" character tournament, but after one brutal round of eliminations, that number stands at 32.
If we're being honest, all of that voting was all just to get to the meat of the competition. While no upsets shocked the thousands of voters already participating in the Twi-Fight, some close calls proved that no one is safe—especially Bella, who never seems to be safe.
Round two will be open for voting until Monday, October 29, so vote now and keep coming back to see where your favorite stands.
Переслать - Arnold Goes Hipster For 'Ten'
Though the headline for this story would imply that Schwarzenegger's hairstyle for David Ayer's "Ten" is a bad idea, I actually believe the contrary. This looks badass.
