  • 'Pretty Little Liars' Boss Teases Significance Of 'Red Is The New Black'

If you visit Rosewood on a regular basis, you've likely heard the news that our "Pretty Little Liars" will soon learn that former-good-guy Toby is actually part of the nefarious A Team. (A fact viewers discovered during the cliff-hanger mid-season finale back in August.) But when we caught up with executive producer I. Marlene King on the orange carpet for the series' Halloween special, she dished a few previously unknown details from the new episodes debuting in 2013.

"I think what people don't know, which we haven't talked about before tonight, is that you will find out in season 3B why red is the new black," she divulged. "We've teased that all throughout season 3A—'Red is the new black.' You'll find out in season 3 what that means and why."

Marlene dropped another hint that leads us to believe the phrase may have something to do with Alison's alter ego Vivian Darkbloom.

"There will be a new iconic image in our show, which sort of transcends the black hoodie," she added. Could the red in question refer to the scarlet-colored trench coat Alison wore as part of her disguise (which the girls claimed from the dry cleaners during "The Naked Truth")?

You'll have to tune into "Pretty Little Liars" when it returns in the New Year to find out for sure!

  • Halloween Costume How-To: Turn 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' As Ana Steele

Your friends will turn fifty shades of jealous when you turn up for your Halloween party as "Fifty Shades" trilogy protagonist Anastasia Steele. And who knows? Perhaps there will be a young, handsome, psychologically disturbed billionaire at the soiree waiting to tie you to his bedpost. Or not. But hey, it's good to be ready, just in case.

To pull off the authentic Anastasia Steele look, you need to start with a fabulous grey dress, like a
    romantic lace frock
($49.25, ASOS), something more buttoned-up and business chic ($79.90, Zara), or a long, sleek dress that shows off a hint of skin ($29.95, H&M). The key to Christian's desire for Ana is that her look is 95 percent innocent, 5 percent sexy; use this as a guide when selecting the right dress for you.

Next, it's time to accessorize and turn your outfit into a costume. After all, it is Halloween! Draw inspiration from the covers of each of the books and add a men's grey patterned tie ($9.50, Amazon), a silver Venetian-style mask ($2.58, Amazon) and, of course, metal handcuffs ($4.25, Amazon). If you're not a natural brunette, be sure to also pick up a straight brown wig ($19.99, Spirit Halloween) to complete your Miss Steele ensemble.

Of course, no "Fifty Shades" costume would be complete without a little rope. Swing by your local hardware store, Christian Grey style, and artfully tie a bit around your wrists, ankles or waist like an accessory. Be sure to also pick up some red satin pillowcases ($29.99 for 2, Bed Bath & Beyond) to carry your candy and/or use as a purse, as a nod to Christian's, er, special room.

And for the final touch, don't forget to let your inner goddess shine!

  • La La Land Love: The Ashleys, Lady Gaga Edition

Love is in the air for some in Hollywood while it hasn't quite busted through the atmosphere for others. With so many rumors floating around about who is dating whom, it's time we get to the bottom of La La Land's most-talked-about relationships. (Spoiler alert: It's not ending well for everyone.) Le sigh!

    In Love!
"Chicago Fire" star Taylor Kinney is dishing on his relationship with the one and only Lady Gaga, noting that despite her eccentric pop-star persona, dating her isn't as wacky as it would seem. He told the "Today" show, "It's normal, if you will, in that respect."

Taylor and Gaga began dating last year, after they met on the set of her "You and I" video, and it's been smooth sailing ever since. In fact, the former "Vampire Diaries" actor had this to add: "I'm a happy guy. I'm a lucky guy."

    Out of Love?
While Taylor might be Gaga for Mother Monster, it seems that Ashley Greene and actor/singer Reeve Carney are taking a break. A source tells Us Weekly that with Ashley amping up to promote the last film in "The Twilight Saga," she couldn't balance love and work.

"She knows this is a pivotal time in her career," the source said. "I wouldn't say I could never see them getting back together but right now they are doing their own thing." And, given that they may run into each other at "Breaking Dawn – Part 2" related events (he's on the soundtrack), anything is possible.

    Laughing At Love
James Franco had some choice words for anyone who may believe the hype that he's dating his "Spring Breakers" co-star, Ashley Benson. In an article he wrote for the Huffington Post, the multi-hyphenate entertainer cleared the air regarding all the romance rumors.

"I also hear that I've been dating Selena Gomez, Kristen Stewart and Ashley Benson. Hot damn, am I a lucky guy. I wish I had actually gotten closer than the 13th row of the theater in Toronto where Kristen gave her 'On the Road' Q and A, but I didn't; not only did I not talk to her, I didn't even go to the SoHo house where I supposedly asked her out on a date," he wrote. "As for Gomez and Benson, those are Bieber's girls and I wouldn't dare tangle with the Biebs. I heard he wants to kick my ass. Yikes!"

  • Peep The 'Breaking Dawn' Arm-Wrestling Scene In New Clip!

Bella arm wrestlingIn the final weeks before "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" hits theaters, tantalizing little tidbits from the movie are starting to make their way onto the web—and if you've been hoping to whet your "Twilight" appetite with an early glimpse of Bella the Newborn Vampire, then today's your day!

In a new clip that debuted on Yahoo! Movies, we see the Cullens working their new family dynamic... and Bella showing her game face.

The clips opens with Bella and Edward, watching as a police car (Charlie? Is that you?) drives away. Which, apparently, is not normal behavior for a newborn vampire—all things considered, she should have been growling and drooling and trying to drink dear old dad like a delicious mustachioed milkshake, amirite?—and from behind them, Jasper congratulates the newest member of their bloodsucking clan on her awesome restraint. But there's a skeptic in the house: Emmett, who taunts Bella for being so "tame." Ooooooh, burn; is that a challenge? It is! And though the other brothers of family Cullen warn Emmett to watch himself (seriously, bro, in the Twi-verse, teasing the baby is a good way to get your rippling biceps bitten right off), he demands a throwdown. Warning: There is a lot of manly grunting involved.

  • Justin Bieber Swaggin' It Out With Oprah

    3...2..Swaggy!

Justin Bieber took to Oprah Winfrey's couch today to film an episode of her OWN series "Oprah's Next Chapter," which will air November 25. The singer and the TV host mugged for the camera following their chit-chat, which we're sure included an in-depth discussion of the Biebs' coiffure and relationship with fellow pop tart Selena Gomez (oh, we hope!).

Oprah also signed on to the social networking site to hype the interview, in addition to documenting her time at his show the night before. "BELIEVE concert so impressive . Thanks for a SUPER FUN nite Can't wait to talk to you tomorrow!" she wrote.

So... is it November 25 yet?

  • Mary Queen Of Scots Series Could 'Reign' Over CW

Mary Queen of ScotsMary Queen of Scots: So hot right now. First came news that Saoirse Ronan would portray the 16th-century monarch in a big-screen biopic penned by Michael Hirst, and now Deadline is reporting that The CW is eyeing its own "fantastical re-imagining" of the teen queen's story called "Reign."

To be sure, Mary's tale is already an intriguing one without the Hollywood trappings: The monarch took the throne at the tender age of six days old (talk about precocious!), suffering a number of setbacks, including the murder of her husband and imprisonment in a castle.

According to the report, the project is being described as "Game of Thrones" meets Marie Antoinette, and is just the latest royal romp in development at The CW. You may recall that the network shot a pilot for the small-screen adaptation of Kiera Cass' "Bachelor"-style dystopian novel "The Selection." Starring Aimee Teegarden, the series is being re-shot next year after some tinkering.

With all of this renewed interest in the royals, all we have to say is: Long live the Queen!

What say you, Crushers? Are you intrigued by "Reign"? Do you think there should be more thrones and tiaras on television? Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!

  • Halloween Costume How-To: Win Gold As The Fierce Five

    by Jessica Marshall

When it comes to Halloween costume contests, there's some fierce competition out there. But with just a little dedication, you can bring home the gold. Actually, in this case, you start out with the gold, because you're dressing up like one of the members of the 2012 Olympic gold medal-winning U.S. women's gymnastics team.

The five be-glittered young ladies—Aly Raisman, Jordyn Wieber, Gabby Douglas, McKayla Maroney and Kyla Ross—took the gymnastics world by storm this summer in London, just as you and four of your friends will blow away the local Halloween scene by dressing up like them. With just a few simple and inexpensive items, you can reproduce their look from the memorable gold medal ceremony.

To recreate the glory, start with a pair of simple black yoga pants ($12.58, Target). You can actually buy the same gray Nike MS Reflective Windrunner the girls wore atop the podium, but it will run you upwards of $350. Instead, you can find a number of similar-looking windbreaker jackets at more decent prices, like this gray fleece jacket ($29.95, H&M). Cap off the apparel with a pair of loudly colored running sneakers. The team actually wore lime green Nike Flyknit trainers ($150, Nike.com), but a less expensive option may be these Phreze Retro Joggers ($29.99, Payless).

You're only half done. Anyone who is familiar with the world of sports like gymnastics and figure skating knows that makeup and hair are just as essential as apparel. Start by pulling your hair back into a high and tight ponytail—so tight that your eyebrows get a lift. Then spray the crap out of your head with extra-firm hold hairspray, and subdue any errant fly-aways with small hair clips or bobby pins. You need to look like your head was shellacked when all is said and done. For hair accessories, a sequined scrunchie is a must (5 for $20, etsy.com). But only pull your pony halfway through when you're fitting the scrunchie, so there's a big bulb of hair on top of your head with some loose ends hanging out. Then finish off the do with a generous spritzing of hair and body glitter spray ($5.99, Walgreens).

Next, it's on to makeup. Much like Effie Trinket would do, the louder and glitzier the makeup, the better. Load on the eyeshadow, glitter, blush and mascara, and add some color and gloss to your lips. Then smile for the judges! If you want to really go the extra mile, you can wear a leotard ($22.00, Amazon.com) underneath your activewear. You might be picking a wedgie all night, but the judges will definitely award extra points for the effort.

And finally, no champion is complete without her gold medal. Hit up a party store and grab five for you and your teammates ($3.99, Party City).

While McKayla may not be impressed by your efforts, your fellow Halloween revelers are sure to be.

  • 'Pretty Little Liars' Halloween Special Recap: 'This Is A Dark Ride'

Pretty Little LIarsAs promised, one Rosewood resident didn't make it to the end of the line alive during last night's "Pretty Little Liars" Halloween special, set on a speeding locomotive. But the deceased did drop one doozy of a secret before meeting his demise.

The episode opened on Mona (a.k.a. A) in her room in Radley, ominously humming "Teddy Bears' Picnic" while painting a garish face onto a paper-mache mask. Clearly, Mona was not going to let the Halloween train leave the station without her... or her hoodied-helper, whom she passed a handful of pills and bullets!

Meanwhile, Spencer came home to find an unwanted surprise in her kitchen—Garrett Reynolds, who had some intel for her. But Toby interrupted, demanding Garrett leave. "You make it so hard to be a modern post-feminist when you're such an alpha male," Spencer waxed before pulling a copy of Ms. magazine out of her backpack. Or not.

Spencer had a date for the monster mash, but Hanna and Aria weren't so lucky. Caleb was still healing from his injuries from the mid-season finale, while Ezra had a last-minute job interview in Philadelphia about ghosting (heh! Halloween pun!) a biography. No matter, us modern post-feminists can attend a party without a man on our arm...

And show up they did, in fine fashion, channeling famous women in cinema: Hanna as Marilyn Monroe, Aria as Daisy Buchanan from "The Great Gatsby," Emily as Barbarella and Spencer as Lauren Bacall. Of course, the other usual suspects were aboard too, including Jenna, Noel (great choking gag, guy! NOT!) and Jason. Oh, and plenty of masked, could-be menacers.

Though a number of the costumed cabal ended up being friend rather than foe. Caleb snuck onto the train under the guise of the Phantom of the Opera, while Garrett hid behind a creepy doll mask so he could pull Spencer aside to reveal his secret. Namely, that though Jenna thinks he killed Alison, he didn't. In fact, the last person he saw with Alison the night of her murder was...Aria's dad!

Speaking of Aria, Spencer told Garrett to stay put while she tracked her friend down, but Aria was no where to be found! Following guest star Adam Lambert's set, Creepy Porcelain Jester slipped something into Aria's drink, and she woke up bound, gagged and in a box. And she wasn't alone. Garrett's dead body was in the box too! Which gave us all the creeps!

As the girls searched the train for Aria, they only found more trouble. Creepy Porcelain Jester tried to throw Spencer from the train (though Paige totally handled him/her!) and a Caleb imposter got a little too close to Hanna. While Aria struggled to free herself, she could hear a guy's and a girl's voice (Mona and Toby?) as they attempted to foist the box off the train, but the pretty little liars found Aria just in time to prevent her from becoming missing cargo...

...Which is a perfect transition to discuss another item found on the train: AN ADDITIONAL BODY. Hiding in a coffin pulling double-duty as a drinks cooler was a body bag, which we can probably assume was holding Alison's remains. Worst. Party. Favor. Ever.

Also of note was the bizarre sideplot occurring at Hanna's home. Her mom welcomed what seemed to be a little girl ghost into their house. Is "Pretty Little Liars" taking a turn for the supernatural? We'll have to wait and see when the series returns for the back half of season three in 2013!

What did you think of last night's Halloween special? How do you think ghost girl will factor in? Are you convinced Alison is in the body bag? Do you think Aria's dad had something to do with Alison's murder? (Perhaps that's why they really moved to Iceland?) Tell us all your thoughts and theories in the comments and on Twitter!
