- 'Beautiful Creatures' Wraps Production
The magic is over...for now. Kami Garcia, one-half of the writing team behind the Southern-set supernatural series "Beautiful Creatures," took to Twitter today to inform fans that shooting has wrapped on the novel's big-screen adaptation, which is scheduled to hit theaters February 13, 2013.
The #BeautifulCreaturesMovie is a wrap! RT @ZoeyDeutch: @leatherwoodFILM AAAAHH SO MUCH LOVE IN MY HEART. Wish I (cont) tl.gd/i1o5s8
— Kami Garcia (@kamigarcia) June 26, 2012
The film stars Alice Englert as Lena Duchannes, the new girl in town who has a mysterious connection to cutie Ethan Wate (played by Alden Ehrenreich). Lena also happens to be a caster (in other words, a witch), which poses its own set of issues in the pair's close-minded hamlet.
MTV News visited the New Orleans-based set earlier this year to talk to the film's young stars, as well as witness a goosebump-inducing effects scene that is sure to spellbind audiences early next year. Be sure to check it out!
Until next time, beautiful creatures, we wish you Tweet Dreams!

Переслать - 'Catching Fire' Close To Casting Brutus?
Rumors are flying fast and furious today about the casting of "Catching Fire"—and because there is no "Hunger Games"-related tidbit we will not repeat, news upon which we will not jump, or gossip we will not goss, here's the latest: Victor Gojcaj, best known amongst cinema connoisseurs as "Hey It's That Guy From 'Unstoppable'!" is in the running for the role of returning tribute Brutus in "Catching Fire."
...What do you mean, "Who's Brutus?"
AND YOU CALL YOURSELF A FAN.But in case the name doesn't ring any bells (Confession: we totally had to peek back through the books for a refresher, so ashamed), Brutus is the District 2 champion who eagerly returns to the arena for the Quarter Quell —and not 'cause he's hoping to help the revolution, either. And while Victor's prior acting experience isn't exactly diverse (so far, his oeuvre has been limited exclusively to Bad Guy On a Train), we still think he's the perfect pick to add a hint of genuine villainy to a film that needs some well-rounded baddies, particularly since he comes to Hollywood with a rich history of off-screen criminal shenanigans to complement his on-screen roles. As in, dude was an actual underworld felon before he was an actor. Can someone say "bad-ass"?
But, he'll reportedly have to face down "Lost" actor Kevin Durand for the role. So there's that.

Переслать - 'Hunger Games' Jennifer Lawrence Is A Real-Life Hero!
by Meredith Goldberg-Morse
Apparently Katniss Everdeen's heroic demeanor has rubbed off on Jennifer Lawrence.
"The Hunger Games" star was taking her dog for a stroll outside her Santa Monica home when she stumbled upon a young woman passed out on the lawn, according to E! Online. Jennifer immediately rushed to help the woman while someone else in the area called 911, staying with her until the paramedics arrived. After determining that she did not need to be transported to the hospital, the paramedics cleared the girl to leave.
While nobody wants to be the girl passed out on the lawn in front of a celebrity's apartment complex, we can't imagine more capable, reassuring arms to wake up in than those of The Girl On Fire (except maybe Ryan Gosling's).

Переслать - Richelle Mead's 'Bloodlines' Novel, 'Indigo Spell,' Has A Cool Cover: Check It Out!
"The Golden Lily"—Richelle Mead's second "Bloodlines" novel following teen alchemist Sydney Sage and the vampires she's sworn to protect—hit bookstore shelves just two weeks ago, but we're already getting an EXCLUSIVE sneak peek at the cover for follow-up, "The Indigo Spell"!
The artwork for the third book in Richelle's best-selling series is all about the blues—in a totally aesthetically pleasing way. "It makes a little sense at the end of book two, but definitely for sure by book three," Richelle explained of the title when we spoke to her earlier this month in anticipation of "The Golden Lily."
Check out the full cover after the jump!
We'll keep things spoiler free for those of you who have yet to sink your teeth into "The Golden Lily" (and if that's you, what are you waiting for!?!), but if you want to read the first paragraph from "The Indigo Spell," be sure to visit the official "Bloodlines" Facebook page for a juicy teaser.
"The Indigo Spell" will be released on February 12, 2013.

Переслать - 'Pretty Little Liars' Star Shay Mitchell Has Been 'Through The Worst Of High School'
"Pretty Little Liars" starlets Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell all have something in common—besides starring on their hit ABC Family series, that is. They've all graced the cover of Seventeen magazine! This month, it's Shay's turn to bring the cute to the August issue, and even A would have to agree that the 25-year-old is all kinds of fresh and fearless in her all-purple ensemble. Inside, the actress opens up about her own time in high school and whether the four pretty little liars are really friends.
If Shay's portrayal of sometimes-troubled teen Emily Fields feels spot-on, it's probably because the actress can relate—she didn't have the easiest high school experience and wants to help other girls going through the tumultuous teens.
"When I was in high school, I wanted to be a counselor and I wanted to work with kids," Shay said. "I've been through the worst of high school. And I want to motivate people to live the best life that they can, because we're only here for one life."
The past three years of Shay's one life have been dedicated to her acting career, and along the way, she's become besties with her fellow Rosewood residents, whom she spends hours with each day on set.
"I'm so close with each of the girls for different things," she explained. "Troian is my go-to when I want advice on something. She's literally like her character—so smart. Lucy is so cute and southern. We joke around a lot on-set. And Ashley is like the fun, carefree little sister I never had."
But sometimes a girl needs a break from all that estrogen, which is where the menz come in. And Shay said she's just looking for someone with a great sense of humor. (I mean, who isn't?!)
"If you can make me laugh, my heart is yours!" she exclaimed. "I think there's nothing more attractive than someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously."
Hey, Shay! If you happen to find that guy, ask if he has a brother. We want in on that action.

Переслать - 'Magic Mike' Star Joe Manganiello Sings 'Thong Song'
When it comes to complicated costumery, it's no surprise that the men of "Magic Mike" identified their teeny-tiny stripperman banana hammocks as the most problematic part of their on-set wardrobe. But even we've gotta admit, we didn't expect them to sing about it.
"Thong, th-thong thong thong!" trilled Joe Manganiello,, when MTV News' Kara Warner asked him, along with fellow "Magic Mike" actor Matt Bomer, which item of required clothing presented the biggest challenge. But with so many thongs to choose from (yes, that's right, the men appear onstage in MANY a butt-baring set of underpants, you're welcome), Matt and Joe went one step further to identify the one particular thong that gave both of them the willies. Which was it? Well, let's just say that the stars-and-stripes which bedecked these guys' respective, er, flagpoles in the Fourth of July dance scene had them both feeling less-than-patriotic.
"The American flag one, for me, was most problematic," said Matt.
And Joe agreed, "I'm gonna say that, mine, I think, was three sizes too small. A little tight up there."
Uh, yeah...we're gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you there, Joe; the ladies in the audience are unanimous, and that thong was exactly the right size. But props to both actors for getting into their man-panties, because—as Matt pointed out—it was no mean feat.
"All the holes were sort of the same size," Matt explained, "so in the dark, at five in the morning, the math is a little complicated."
And lest you start feeling too sorry for these guys (poor puppies! So uncomfy in their itty-bitty bulge-covers!), Joe also admitted that not all the thongs were a problem, saying, "My gold lamé thong, however, was actually quite comfortable!"
Which is lovely to hear! Because we'd like him to wear it the next time he comes by our studios. And nothing else. Cool? Thanks, dude; you're a champion.

Переслать - 'Mirror Mirror' Blu-Ray EXCLUSIVE: A Behind-The-Scenes Visit With Lily Collins!
What kind of goodies await fairytale fans on the Blu-ray release of "Mirror Mirror" (in stores today)? DELICIOUS ones, that's what! And Hollywood Crush has one EXCLUSIVE look at a making-the-Snow-White-sausage featurette from the disc's special features, with peeks at some on-set action and sit-down interviews with Lily Collins and Julia Roberts as they discuss working with director Tarsem Singh.
Even if you haven't already seen this vibrant and funny take on the classic fairytale, it's clear from the actors' enthusiasm that making this movie was tons of fun (and speaking of fun, hey, look! There's Lily in her swan hat!). And the titular character herself couldn't be more psyched about how Tarsem brought the story to life onscreen.
"The way he talked about his vision of the project was just so energetic and so different, I knew I had to work with him," Lily gushed.
And judging by the behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the film, there was no shortage of energetic goofing-around during production; check out the colorful costumes, dancing, joking between takes and even the Evil Queen herself getting huggy and giggly whilst sitting on the instantly recognizable throne that looks like a giant croissant. So fun! The only thing missing is a big Bollywood-esque song-and-dance scene...but if you grab the Blu-ray stick it out 'til the end of the movie, you'll get one of those, too.
What do you think of this sneak peek at the "Mirror Mirror" Blu-ray? Will you be picking up a copy today?
Переслать - 'Catching Fire' Could Recruit Jena Malone
We just don't know what to believe anymore when it comes to the ongoing casting of "Catching Fire": First we heard that Zoe Aggeliki and Mia Wasikowska were perched right on the edge of the casting couch for the role of Johanna Mason, with Zoe maybe even being offered the role, like, yesterday. But now, Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive report that it's actually Jena Malone who's being seriously considered for the part of the tough and feisty District 7 tribute. And not only that, that Mia was a big red herring who was never in the running at all! UGH. Stop toying with us, "Catching Fire"!
But at the risk of getting all super-excited only to get our hopes dashed again: Jena Malone? Yes, please. She's a talented actress with a miles-long resume, and her past projects include everything from high drama to cheesy horror to hardcore action flicks. (You also might've seen her in the recent History Channel Old West gunfight-fest of "Hatfields and McCoys.") And if you're wondering how she'd fare in the arena, take note: After last year's "Sucker Punch," Jena is no stranger to busting heads...in thigh-high boots, a fishnet body suit and a leather corset, no less. Think she'll come on board for the "Hunger Games" sequel, where the killing wardrobe is a little less fashion and a little more function? Discuss!

Переслать - Steal A Peek At The Cover For Ally Carter's 'Heist Society 3'!
Katarina Bishop's latest caper won't hit bookstore shelves until February 2013, but you don't have to wait until the new year to get your first look at the third novel in Ally Carter's best-selling "Heist Society" series. No, ma'am. We've snatched an EXCLUSIVE sneak peek at the book's cover, which includes its until-now under-lock-and-key title.
Without further ado, feast your eyes on..."Perfect Scoundrels"!
It's a pretty fitting title for the newest novel to follow our favorite teen thief and her dreamy sidekick Hale. And like "Heist Society" and "Uncommon Criminals" before it, "Perfect Scoundrel"'s book jacket features Kat looking all kinds of coy behind her signature shades. (Did you get a look at what—or who, rather—is reflected in those specs?)
Keep reading after the jump for "Perfect Scoundrels"' perfect synopsis!
Katarina Bishop and W.W. Hale the fifth were born to lead completely different lives: Kat comes from a long, proud line of loveable criminal masterminds, while Hale is the scion of one of the most seemingly perfect dynasties in the world. If their families have one thing in common, it's that they both know how to stay under the radar while getting—or stealing—whatever they want.
No matter the risk, the Bishops can always be counted on, but in Hale's family, all bets are off when money is on the line. When Hale unexpectedly inherits his grandmother's billion dollar corporation, he quickly learns that there's no place for Kat and their old heists in his new role. But Kat won't let him go that easily, especially after she gets tipped off that his grandmother's will might have been altered in an elaborate con to steal the company's fortune. So instead of being the heir—this time, Hale might be the mark.
Forced to keep a level head as she and her crew fight for one of their own, Kat comes up with an ambitious and far-reaching plan that only the Bishop family would dare attempt. To pull it off, Kat is prepared to do the impossible, but first, she has to decide if she's willing to save her boyfriend's company if it means losing the boy."Perfect Scoundrels" debuts February 5, 2013.

Переслать - Ashley Tisdale Gets In On 'Anarchy'
Sharpay, she is not. "High School Musical" star Ashley Tisdale had an early call today on the set of FX's "Sons of Anarchy," where she's filming a two-episode stint as Emma Jean. The character is described by The Hollywood Reporter as "a desirable, high-priced escort who complicates the club's life." In other words: trouble.
My view today... #sonsofanarchy #charliehunnam twitter.com/ashleytisdale/…
— Ashley Tisdale (@ashleytisdale) June 25, 2012
"Sons of Anarchy" happens to be Ashley's favorite show, so she's obviously psyched about the guest-starring role alongside biker babe Charlie Hunnam.
Up next, the starlet will voice Candace in the big-screen version of "Phineas and Ferb," as well as appear in fifth installment of the never-dying "Scary Movie" franchise. Both are due in theaters in 2013.
Until next time, Crushers, we wish you Tweet Dreams!
