The song will get a major push on Top 40 and rhythmic radio stations in the coming weeks.

"Bieber's a true G. People may not know that," Big Sean told MTV News about working with the 18-year-old on the Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins-produced track. "He is a good dude, man. And I ain't toning down nothing. I'm diverse — I can write raps to any type of song."

MTV News recently chatted with Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, about the album's potential next single, and he shared that "As Long as You Love Me" was at the top of the list of candidates to get the official single treatment.

"We haven't picked the next single," he said. "We're gonna see how different songs react off the album. 'As Long as You Love Me' [with Big Sean] is getting a lot of love, so is 'All Around the World' [with Ludacris]. So is 'Die in Your Arms.' 'Beauty and the Beat' is coming with the album. We're gonna see what the next single is. We're gonna figure that out."

In addition to preparing to shoot a video for the track, Bieber is also still in promo mode, spreading the word about his album, as well as prepping for his world tour, which kicks off in September in the U.S.

"The tour starts at the end of September ... by the end of 2013 we're gonna hit the whole world," Braun explained. "He has been watching a tremendous amount of Michael Jackson concerts from the '80s and '90s. And he has been talking to me about how Michael incorporated magic and pyro and reveals and he wants to bring in that. [But] still do that acoustic thing, but he wants to take it to a whole new level.

"It's just really exciting," he continued. "Nothing makes him happier than being onstage. So it's gonna be fun to get back onto the road. I think he was an amazing performer before, but his level of dance and musicianship and his range [has grown]. He's a veteran now. I think he wants to take it to a completely new level."

  • Justin Bieber Comparisons Are 'Flattering,' Austin Mahone Says

Many call Texan teen, who built up fanbase on social media, the next Bieber.
    By Tami Katzoff

What do you call a group of kids who are so fiercely loyal to their young pop idol that they buy up all available tickets to a show in minutes, journey from far-off locales and park themselves on a sidewalk for hours just so they can get a glimpse of their beloved teenage Texan? Are they Beliebers? Of course not — Justin Bieber is Canadian, not Texan. They're Mahomies.

Mahomies are fans of 16-year-old Austin Mahone, the boy many believe will be crowned the Next Justin. The similarities are there: Both are fresh-faced, drum-playing crooners who built their massive fandom using social media and YouTube. And both are followed everywhere by throngs of screaming girls.

But Austin Mahone does something that most fledgling pop stars don't: When his fans reach out to him, he reaches back. He follows them on Twitter. He keeps them updated on his comings and goings through video posts and Instagrams. He even Skypes with fans, one-on-one (for a fee). "Individually, they all give something to support me, which got me to where I am right now," Mahone told MTV News. "I just want to give back to them as much as I can and say thank you."

Mahone has no debut album yet and, as of press time, no label on which to release one. He does have two singles, "11:11" and "Say Somethin," which can be purchased on iTunes. He also has more than 777,000 Twitter followers and nearly half a million Facebook fans. Nicolette Valenti, 14, flew to New York from Boca Raton, Florida, to see Austin's sold-out show at Best Buy Theater on Friday; she said she would do anything to be around him. "Some girls just like him because he's cute," Valenti explained. "But I think he's really talented."

Mahone's journey to stardom began two years ago, when he started making videos with his friend Alex Constancio and posting them on YouTube. Then he started doing covers of artists like Bruno Mars, Adele and yes, Justin Bieber. His online fame steadily grew; he began making personal appearances and doing live shows. He's since relocated from Texas to Miami to work on new music.

"Coming from my bedroom in San Antonio to this big world and going from singing covers off my laptop to making music in this nice studio, making professional-sounding music — it's just weird," Mahone said. "It's crazy. I can't believe that happened."

The inevitable comparisons to Mr. Bieber don't seem to bother him too much. "I mean, it's flattering. It's not that bad of a thing," he said. "It's cool because he's such an inspiration to me and he's so successful, and I just hope that I'll be as successful as him someday." The comparisons do, however, bother many Mahomies.

"People say that Austin is the new Justin Bieber — I don't think that at all," said 14-year-old Maggie Benzenhafer as she waited on the sidewalk outside the Best Buy Theater. "I think Austin's going to be the new Austin Mahone."

She recently shared she wanted to work with a whole bevy of artists ranging from New York rockers Fun. to Nashville princess Taylor Swift, but don't expect her to get another world-famous pop star on the album.

And, don't even expect her to sing about him, either. "It's not going to be necessarily, 'Here's my tell-all,' " Gomez explained to E! News about the possibility of her getting personal about her relationship with Justin Bieber on the record. "It's going to be more of something that people could say, 'It could be that or it could be this or it could be that.' At the end of the day, I only make my music because I want it [to] be really fun, and if I could have people dance to it, relate to it, have a good time, that's all I want."

Having already met with producers to begin talks about this whole new set of music, her follow-up to 2011's When the Sun Goes Down, she wants to grow. I want to work with just different styles of music."

Gomez has yet to announce a release date, but the album is expected to drop in 2013.

  • Justin Bieber, Usher Vie To Top Billboard Chart

Bieber's Believe enters charts just one week after his mentor's Looking 4 Myself, as Usher tells MTV News, 'We support each other.'
    By Christina Garibaldi

For the past several years, Usher has been helping his protégé Justin Bieber become an international pop star. The pair have collaborated on songs and onstage, but now they are about to have their first battle — on the charts.

Usher's album, Looking 4 Myself, debuted on top of the Billboard albums chart, becoming his fourth #1 album after selling 128,000 copies in its first week. But now it's Bieber's turn: Just one week later, Bieber will be entering the charts with his third studio album, Believe and early predictions are expecting huge album sales.

According to Billboard, Believe is on course to sell between 410,000 and 440,000 units, which would make it the year's biggest debut to date.

Even though Bieber is on track to beat his mentor in sales, the R&B superstar isn't concerned.

Regarding whether he and Bieber speak about topping each other on the charts, Usher told MTV News, "Actually, we have not had that conversation. We try to calculate when we release so that we support each other. It's like a seesaw: 'You take it this week; I'll take it this week.' "

Usher also said that even though he and Bieber do not appear on each other's albums, he was still heavily involved in each song that made the cut on Believe.

"We talked about many different things when making his album. The coolest part about it is we support each other regardless if I'm on the album or he's on my album or not," Usher said. "Every album, it is that sit-down that we have to have, to go through this record. We talk about the audiences that are there: This song is for this audience member, this song is for this region. And that's always very helpful."

Bieber shared during "MTV First: Justin Bieber" that he still turns to Usher for sound advice.

"He's just giving me the advice of: Always keep the people that were there at the beginning and keep them with you, because those are the people that really care and they want to see you succeed."

Do you expect Justin Bieber to top Usher on the charts? Sound off below!
