- 'Vampire Diaries' Actor Matt Davis Does Vienna
While we sit in an aggressively air-conditioned office, whiling away a (finally!) sunny Friday afternoon, there are more than a few stars making us green with envy over their vacation escapades. One such Twitterer is "Vampire Diaries" actor Matt Davis, who has been sending humorous dispatches from his Austrian holiday.
I suppose I'll never get used to seeing a grown man wear #lederhosen
— Hurricane_E (@ErnestoRiley) June 15, 2012
Is it wrong that we're picturing Matt in a pair of lederhosen RIGHT NOW? (And is it wrong that we kind of like it?)
Anyway! This will probably be one of the last vacations the cutie has for a bit, as he will likely be hard at work soon on the set of his new CW series "Cult," which will bow on the network sometime in early 2013. The series follows a journalist (played by Matt) whose investigation into his brother's disappearance leads him to a creepy TV show named "Cult" and its rabid fans. While we're sad to see him leave Mystic Falls, we're glad he won't be off of our televisions for too long.
Until next time, Crushers, Tweet Dreams and a happy weekend!

Переслать - Style Superstar: Emma Stone Is A Fashion Superhero
There's nothing basic about the black-and-white in this week's Style Superstar running! Two lovely ladies starring in two great movies hit up their respective premieres in high-contrast ensembles featuring one of the fashion world's most favorite classic color combos. But where one of these looks combined unexpected elegance with some frisky accents, the other just kinda went...poof. Who's in the spotlight this week?
Emma Stone has probably taken home Style Superstar honors more than any other young Hollywood lady, and there's a reason: Girlfriend can dress like a champ. Her Fendi cocktail dress at the "Amazing Spider-Man" premiere in Seoul, South Korea, was a fun alternative to the flowing gowns that stars often opt to wear for events like these, and the leather epaulets carry the look right over the line from flirty to fierce. Add in some funky shoes (seriously digging the pointed toe and white sole) and a pop of pink on her lips, and Emma has once again claimed Style Superstardom.
And in other black-and-white news: "Rock of Ages" might rock'n'roll all night, but Julianne Hough's ensemble at the London premiere made us want to send her home with no afterparty. The flouncy white sleeves on her Valentino dress are a distracting addition (and, uh, considering the neckline, the fact that the sleeves are distracting is really saying something). But the classic sexy vibe of the rest of the dress is a winner, and Julianne's dance-ready figure can't be beat; here's hoping she puts it in something a little less 1980s prom for her next appearance.

Переслать - Malin Akerman's Real-Life 'Rock Of Ages'
by Meredith Goldberg-Morse
Malin Akerman plays a Rolling Stone writer in the musical ode to leather pants and gravity-defying hair known as "Rock of Ages," but the actress could have just as easily portrayed one of the film's chanteuses, thanks to her time as a frontwoman for an alt-rock band. Malin sat down with MTV News to discuss her musical past and how the power ballads hit close to home.
"I kind of stumbled upon a couple of Italian boys who were musicians, and they asked me to write some lyrics for them and that turned into, 'Why don't you front the band?' which is crazy because I'd never sang before in my life," Malin explained of her foray into the world of rock 'n' roll. (We, for one, would like some detailed instructions on how to casually "stumble upon" a group of Italian musicians.)
Jealousy aside, while Malin eventually chose to pursue acting over music, she still has plenty of experience to inform her role—not to mention a husband who could provide any necessary pointers.
"We met in our band together; he was my drummer and that's how we met. So we've had a bit of musical background together," she explained of her love story, which sounds worthy of its own Broadway-hit-turned-blockbuster.
And as for the singing? "That was a completely new challenge," the actress admitted, despite her considerable experience. "I have to say, though, I'd seen the Broadway show twice before I even knew about the film. I love this music. It's my kind of music, so it really pulled a chord and I wanted to be a part of it."
Now excuse us while we attempt to hunt down some Italian musicians while simultaneously trying to get "Don't Stop Believin'" out of our heads.

Переслать - 'Fifty Shades' Of Twitter: Ian Somerhalder, Bret Easton Ellis Discuss E.L. James Adaptation
With production on the "Fifty Shades of Grey" film in its earliest stages, it seems "Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder* is tapping his connections in hopes of landing the role of billionaire BDSM-enthusiast Christian Grey.
The actor recently took to Twitter to chat about the project with writer Bret Easton Ellis, who has expressed interest in penning the screenplay. (Bret and Ian previously worked together on the big-screen adaptation of the author's "Rules of Attraction" novel.)
"@BretEastonEllis -Id so love to be ChristianGrey w/you&Angelina Jolie. Ive only waited 10 years to do a movie w/u.Im grown up now-no worries," he wrote.
"@iansomerhalder I'm glad you're as excited by the prospect of "Fifty Shades of Grey" as I am. (I've heard that Angelina is not involved...)" he replied, regarding the now-debunked rumor that Angelina Jolie might be directing. Responding to earlier fan calls for Ian in the role, Bret responded, "I know Ian Somerhalder and how kinky he can be and yes, he's probably Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, and he will go all-out for it."
While casting is still up in the air, so is the role of producer. Variety reports that there are several folks interested in working on the project. "Fifty" writer E.L. James and her agent were recently in Los Angeles meeting with studio execs and possible producers to help move the film along.
While Universal had no comment on the matter, the shortlist includes (but is not limited to) Michael De Luca, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer of Imagine Entertainment, Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson of Color Force, Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher of Double Feature Films, and Scott Stuber of Bluegrass Films.

*You guys! Do you see that image of Ian wearing only jeans and lying atop red silk sheets?! He's sooooo Christian Grey!
Переслать - 'True Blood' Casting: Alcide's Wolfdad To Make An Appearance
We already knew that the werefolk of "True Blood" pass down their supernatural status genetically, but now, we'll also have a chance to see whether Stone Cold Sexy runs in the werefamily as well. What are we talking about? Just the latest casting news from season five: The Hollywood Reporter has learned that the character of Alcide's father, Jackson Herveaux, will be making an appearance later this season, with actor Robert Patrick (best-known as the liquid metal death machine from "Terminator 2") cast as the were-dad. (Aww, and just in time for Father's Day, too!)
Word has it that Robert will make his debut in a flashback episode, airing August 5, and then take his place as a recurring presence for the rest of the season. And yes, we said "flashback episode"! The Jackson Herveaux storyline begins with a look back to the 1980s (when Alcide was not yet a fine hunk of man-meat, and Debbie was not yet a crazy V-addicted maniac). Which is very exciting, not only because we might get to see Alcide as a young, innocent wolf (perhaps sporting some excellent '80s hair?) but also because it might shed some new and interesting light on the sordid backstory that put Alcide's family in Eric Northman's debt.

Переслать - Anna Kendrick Hits All The Right Notes In 'Pitch Perfect' Trailer
On a professional note, the brand new trailer for "Pitch Perfect"—the movie that stars Anna Kendrick as a reluctant superstar in the cutthroat world of college a cappella—is delightful, engaging, funny and full of promising appearances by a fair few of our most faaavorite favorite young Hollywood folks, including Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, Adam DeVin, and even Anna "Mrs. Reverend Newlin on 'True Blood'" Camp!
...And on a personal note, the brand new trailer for "Pitch Perfect" is so awesome that I, who am not just a Hollywood Crush blogger but also a devoted alumnus of college a cappella, literally cannot watch it without grinning like a madman, squealing like a baby pig and peeing in my pants just a little. (Okay, a lot.) (Okay, seriously, not even bothering to wear pants for the rest of the day due to reverberating effects of this trailer.)
"Pitch Perfect" features Anna—who, in case you were wondering, can sing like the BUSINESS—as Beca, a newly arrived college freshman and not really a "joiner," who nevertheless ends up guilted by a naked friend into joining up with the local lady a cappella group. And no, this isn't a "Glee" redux; "Pitch Perfect" is a whole lot saltier, coming straight from the delightfully sick mind of the man who wrote Broadway hit "Avenue Q," also known as the best musical ever to feature puppets having sex onstage. Add in Rebel Wilson's performance as Fat Amy ("You call yourself 'Fat Amy'?"—"Yeah, so tweaked bitches like you don't do it behind my back!"), a competing group full of vocally talented male hotties, and lots and lots of wicked musical arrangements (try listening to the girls bust out an all-vocal version of "No Diggity" without experiencing a moment of jaw-dropping awe), and we (okay, I) can't wait to be front-row for the first look at "Pitch Perfect" on October 5.

Переслать - 'The Host' First Look: Jake Abel Is Ian
For those waiting in tense anticipation for a glimpse at the other central romance in new Stephenie Meyer novel-turned-movie "The Host," it's a very good day: two brand new stills have been released with all the infectious force of...well, of an alien race taking over the planet's human bodies. And after taking a gander, all we can say is this: never has a spectral extraterrestrial love quadrangle looked so motherfranking sexy.
We'd already gotten a peek at some shots of Saoirse Ronan in her dual role (and sporting the telltale penumbra in her glowing irises that says E.T. is in the building), but this was the first look at Jake Abel in his role as Ian, who falls in love not with Melanie-the-actual-human, but with Wanda, the parasitic consciousness infecting her. (Parasites. So hot right now.)
And the new stills deliver a couple bonuses: a wonderfully bleak landscape that promises plenty of post-apocalyptic sci-fi scrumptiousness for the characters to wander through, along with a single shot of Jake looking appropriately exhausted and tattered their underground desert hideyhole.
