  • Ben Stiller Has Aged Quickly In New 'Walter Mitty' Photos

    Walter Mitty

No, there hasn't been a new person cast as the title character in the upcoming remake of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty." That is still Ben Stiller, despite the fact that he looks like he could be about 75 years old.

These new images from the film come courtesy of The Blemish, and show Stiller and his costar, Kristin Wiig, wearing some heavy prosthetics to look a lot older than they actually are. In fact, we didn't even recognize Stiller at first glance. Hopefully this isn't a sign of how he'll actually look when he gets to that age, because he's got quite the classic grandpa look going on.

Wiig, on the other hand, looks pretty much the same as she always does. Despite her unhappy expression, we've seen her put on crazier get-ups in Saturday Night Live.

Somehow we doubt she and Stiller spend the entire movie looking this elderly, so we have a feeling that they are shooting some of Walter Mitty's fantasy scenes in these shots. It sort of looks like this scene takes place around Christmas time.

Based on the short story by James Thurber and the 1947 film of the same name, "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" tells the tale of a lonely magazine photo manager named Walter Mitty who has daydreams inspired by the people's pictures he looks at. But he gets thrust out of that fantasy world when one of his negatives goes missing and he must go on a quest to find it.

"The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" also stars Sean Penn, Patton Oswalt and Adam Scott. It's due in theaters on December 25, 2013.

Are you surprised by how different Stiller looks in these photos? Tell us in the comments section below or on Twitter!

  • Nicolas Cage Praises Guy Pearce In 'Seeking Justice' Interview

Either we could sit you down and explain to you all the ways that Guy Pearce is one of the best actors working today, or Nicolas Cage can do it.

We're going to assume you chose the latter.

The duo recently starred in the thriller, "Seeking Justice," which is now headed to DVD and Blu-ray. In this exclusive featurette from the disc, Cage explains what it's like to work with Pearce and why that is so much fun.

"Guy Pearce is very precise and clear about understanding the rhythm and the music of a scene," Cage said. "When I say 'premise,' I mean that he'll go through the script many times and really get down underneath it and get down into the nuts and bolts and ask me questions about 'How does this line up for you? How does that track for you?' That's unusual to be perfectly direct. Not many film actors do that. Not many actors led you know or include you on where they want to go to see if that works with you. So that's nice, and it's refreshing to have that."

"Seeking Justice" comes out on Blu-ray and DVD on June 19.

  • Exclusive: 'Lola Versus' One Horrible Dating Profile

Greta Gerwig's character in "Lola Versus" has to not only deal with the heartbreak of a called-off engagement, but to get back on her feet, she tries to navigate the treacherous waters of online dating.

Sites like Match.com might help her find the right guy for her eventually, but that's only if she can avoid men like Nick Oranghatoung, perhaps the most pretentious man in the world.

To celebrate the release of "Lola Versus," we have an exclusive look at Nick Oranghatoung's full-length dating video. If anything, it serves as a very good example of everything you should avoid when browsing online dating profiles.

"Lola Versus" opens wide in theaters today.

  • New 'Prometheus' Photo Reveals Unused Character

    Prometheus

With all of the controversy that "Prometheus" has drummed up since its release a week ago, the last thing Ridley Scott's most recent movie needs is more mystery. But last week, John O'Connor from Creatures, Inc., the effects shop behind some of the extraterrestrials in "Prometheus," posted some behind-the-scenes photos to his Facebook page that could possibly complicate matters even further.

The pictures are big spoilers for "Prometheus," so for those of you who haven't seen it, we're keeping everything about the last update after the jump.

Read on to see the new "Prometheus" photos.

The photo that has drawn the most attention shows the Engineer from the very beginning of the film, but he is with another of his kind. The Engineer behind him does not look exactly like him or the Engineer that goes on a killing spree later in the film. This Engineer is older, and he has already taken on the nickname of the Elder Engineer.

    Prometheus

There has already been talk about a long cut of the film for the Blu-ray release, but it's impossible to say whether this particular deleted scene will make it into that cut. The new Engineer doesn't really answer any of the lingering questions from "Prometheus," but it does prove that Scott has a bigger vision of this world than he allowed us to see.

  • Five Reasons To See 'Rock Of Ages'

Hollywood won't stop believin' in the Great White Way, and neither will we.

"Rock of Ages," the latest movie musical to shimmy from Broadway to the big screen, opens today with a cast of Hollywood heavyweights (Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Alec Baldwin) and nubile newcomers (Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta) dusting off the ol' jukebox and getting down. The flick follows barback/aspiring musician Drew Boley (Boneta) as he falls for new-in-town cutie Sherrie Christian (Hough) and lands his first break opening for rock god Stacee Jaxx (Cruise) at the Sunset Strip's storied Bourbon Room.

All splashy song-and-dance numbers and schmaltzy romance, this rose may have a few thorns, but it hits moviegoers with its best shot, nonetheless. Here are five reasons to see "Rock of Ages":

    It's a musical for everyone
Don't hide your boyfriend! Don't hide your husband! Director Adam Shankman guarantees men and women alike will leave the theater tapping their toes. "I thought, 'Holy moly!' Here's an opportunity to make a musical truly for straight men," Shankman told MTV News recently when asked what appealed to him about the project. "I mean, straight guys walk into the theater and they know every word of the music. So it's a completely different experience from girls having to drag their boyfriends to boys dragging their girlfriends."

    The soundtrack rocks
Speaking of the music, we've all sloshed our way through enough Journey-fueled last calls to have acquired a certain affinity for '80s jams (whether we were cognizant during the decade or not), and "Rock of Ages" is full of the era's requisite power ballads and silly ditties. Perhaps taking a cue from that small-screen musical "Glee" (which Shankman has guest directed), there are a few fun mash-ups here worth noting, especially "We Built This City" / "We're Not Gonna Take It" sung by Zeta-Jones and Russell Brand during a fierce face-off. You'll also recognize stand-alone favorites like "Pour Some Sugar On Me," "I Want To Know What Love Is" and "Here I Go Again."

    A whole different Tom Cruise
Cocktail slinger. Blood sucker. Kinky-sex-haver. With nearly 40 movie roles to his name, how is it possible we're still seeing new facets to the prolific Tom Cruise? Here, he's the embodiment of egomaniacal swagger as Stacee Jaxx, a man who's never met a buttoned shirt he likes and whose closest confidante is a baboon named Hey Man. It's clear from his first woozy entrance on screen that Cruise is relishing this unexpected role. "It was so different. I'm always looking for different things to do and to work with [director Adam] Shankman on a musical, he just really knows these musicals," Cruise enthused at the film's premiere.

    See stars on the rise
Conversely, this is 21-year-old Diego Boneta's first feature film role after parts on teen-friendly TV like "90210" and "Pretty Little Liars." Shankman has a track record for launching talent (see: Zac Efron, Channing Tatum), and Boneta could just be his latest fresh find. There's also Julianne Hough who's infinitely likeable as L.A. transplant Sherrie Christian. Hough's a true triple-threat, and with roles lined up in Diablo Cody and Nicholas Sparks flicks, you best get used to seeing this pretty face on theater screens now.

    Clever cameos
Nostalgia-istas rejoice...and keep your eyes peeled for a number of era-appropriate guest stars. We won't spoil the surprise, but let's just say one of the stars of "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid" definitely makes an appearance. Regrettably, it's not Mega Python or Gatoroid.

  • 'Splinter Cell' Movie May Be In The Works

    Splinter Cell

Sam Fisher may be the next video game character headed to the big screen. Deadline is reporting that two studios have been in talks with Ubisoft about adapting "Splinter Cell," their popular secret agent series.

According to the report, Ubisoft has spoken with Warner Bros, but now it seems more likely that Paramount will take on the project, as they're already working on the next Jack Ryan film, another Tom Clancy franchise, starring Chris Pine and directed by Kenneth Branaugh.

For those of you unfamiliar with the game series, "Splinter Cell" lets you control Sam Fisher, a gruff and stealthy CIA agent who has starred in six games so far. The latest entry, "Splinter Cell: Blacklist," made a huge splash at the E3 gaming conference earlier this month.

This is only Ubisoft's most recent attempt at bringing one of their characters to the screen. The company produces the "Prince of Persia" games, which resulted in a seriously ill-advised movie starring a tan Jake Gyllenhaal.

For any potential "Splinter Cell" film, Ubisoft is demanding some creative control over the adaptation. This kind of agreement is similar to what Sony signed up for when they bought the rights to another Ubisoft property, "Assassin's Creed," near the end of last year. Ubisoft has been incredibly protective of their licenses since "Prince of Persia" happened, and that trend is continuing with "Splinter Cell."

  • Learn What Neill Blomkamp's 'Elysium' Is All About

    Matt Damon Elysium

Neill Blomkamp, one-time Peter Jackson protégé, defied all possible expectations for his first feature-length film, the low-budget sci-fi allegory "District 9," when it was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture.

The South African director has been working on his follow-up, the highly secretive "Elysium," since early last year. Previously we knew that the film would again deal with science-fiction elements and star Matt Damon and Jodie Foster, among others.

With its March 2013 release date stil a long ways away, "Elysium" has begun test screening, and Collider got their hands on the invite, which includes the very first plot synopsis.

Read the full synopsis after the jump!

If you have no desire to know what "Elysium" is about, you should stop reading.

According to the synopsis, Blomkamp is once again telling a political allegory through a science-fiction premise.

In the year 2159 two classes of people exist: the very wealthy who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Rhodes (Jodie Foster), a hard the government of?cial, will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium. That doesn't stop the people of Earth from trying to get in, by any means they can. When unlucky Max (Matt Damon) is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that if successful will not only save his life, but could bring equality to these polarized worlds.

  • 'Rock Of Ages,' 'That's My Boy,' And More: Double Feature Friday!

    The Rock of Ages

With this week's releases not offering a whole lot of options at the theaters, this week's recommendations may help you out of a tough decision. Although, you should seek out "Your Sister's Sister" if it is playing near you.

Check out this week's pairings in Double Feature Friday!

"Rock of Ages" & "The Rock"
Here's a hypothetical for you: A team of pissed-off marines just captured Alcatraz and are threatening to unleash a massive biological attack on the Bay Area. You are a neurotic weapons specialist, who puts out increasingly bizarre films. What do you do? If you've seen Michael Bay's 1996 action classic, you know exactly what to do. "The Rock" was Bay back when Bay was Bay, way before all of this "Transformers" nonsense. This is a stylish, over-the-top action fest, made of pure masculinity. You know, what Bay used to do.

"That's My Boy" & "Hot Tub Time Machine"
Sean Anders, the director of the latest expansion on Adam Sandler's mansion, "That's My Boy," co-wrote the screenplay for one of 2010's most under-appreciated comedies, "Hot Tub Time Machine." The absolutely ludicrous premise, which the title happens to perfectly spell out, gets a helping hand from a first-rate cast of funny dudes and a surprising amount of heart. Check it out for some laughs and one of the best uses of Mötley Crüe on a soundtrack.

    "Your Sister's Sister" & "The Five-Year Engagement"
It may have just come out a few months ago, but "The Five-Year Engagement" suffered the year's biggest injustice at the box office. Widely considered a bomb, the most recent comedy from writing team Nicholas Stoller and star Jason Segel deserved better than the underwhelming reception. While it lacks some of the magic that made "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" a modern comedy classic, "The Five-Year Engagement" is the kind of smart and adult comedy that doesn't get made often enough anymore.

What are you watching this weekend? Let us know in the comments below and on Twitter!

If one movie is never enough for you and you're looking for a flick to get you in the mood for this week's new release, Double Feature Friday is here to help. Every week we break down the new releases and pair them with older movies that you should catch before heading out to the theater. Or just skip the new movie and check out the classic we recommend.

  • Five Reasons To See Adam Sandler's 'That's My Boy'

The reviews have not been kind on "That's My Boy," Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg's raunchfest hitting theaters today (June 15). It boasts an absurd premise — an adolescent knocks up his math teacher and is left to raise their son, Han Solo, to disastrous results — and more F-bombs than any movie should rightfully have.

But despite myself, I couldn't help but enjoy the hell out of Sandler's latest. It feels like a return to form for the comedian, a callback to all the outrageous potty humor that made him famous in the first place. If his "Billy Madison" and "Happy Gilmore" antics were never for you, then you're not going to find much to enjoy here. But if those movies are staples of your comedy-viewing history, then "That's My Boy" undoubtedly has some guilty laughs in store for you. Here are five reasons to see the movie this weekend.

"What The Hell Happened To" Adam Sandler?
"Jack and Jill" this is not. "That's My Boy" takes full advantage of its R rating. Boobs, booze and bad words are all over this comedy. Whether or not that's your thing is a matter of personal taste, but fans of old school Sandler and his comedy albums should feel right at home here. No, there are no talking goats in this movie, but the over-the-top Donny Berger should make up for the oversight.

Andy Samberg, The Not So Lonely Island
The former "SNL" player gets second billing here, allowing him the chance to share lots of screen time with one of his comedy heroes. His enthusiasm is infectious. Samberg's having lots of fun playing in the Sandbox and it shows. Wouldn't you be having fun too if your name was Han Solo Berger?

A Little Donny Goes A Long Way
As much as Sandler and Samberg own the show, it's the opening scenes with young Donny wooing his math teacher (or is it the other way around?) that stand out as some of the film's funniest moments. It's all a little too lewd to fill out an entire movie probably, but sign me up for wanting to see the further adventures of teenage Donny and the morbidly obese Han Solo.

    The Unsung Hero
Actually, the film's real scene-stealer isn't who you would expect. It's not Will Forte, it's not Ciara, and it's not Vanilla Ice, even though all of them have their moments to shine. It's "Heroes" star Milo Ventimiglia as straight-laced marine Chad who comes out of "That's My Boy" with the most unexpected comedy chops of them all. You wouldn't think the erstwhile Peter Petrelli would be a big source of laughs, but trust me, he's got the goods. The less said about his character's late-game twist, the better. Trust me, his performance alone is worth the price of admission.

    Cameos, Cameos, Cameos
We won't list any of them. Suffice it to say, prison life has been very generous to Han Solo's mother.

Tell us what you think of "That's My Boy" in the comments below or on Twitter!
