  • 'Indiana Jones' Blu-Ray Collection Hits Stores September 18

    Indiana Jones Blu-ray

Get your Fedoras and whips ready, because the Blu-Ray collection of the "Indiana Jones" films is officially coming out September 18.

Lucasfilm and Paramount Home Media Distribution sent out a press release today making the big announcement. The complete collection will include "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark," "Temple of Doom," "The Last Crusade" and "Kingdoms of the Crystal Skull" in their best versions yet.

"Supervised by director Steven Spielberg and renowned sound designer Ben Burtt, 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' has been meticulously restored with careful attention to preserving the original look, sound and feel of the iconic film," the press release reads. "The original negative was first scanned at 4K and then examined frame-by-frame so that any damage could be repaired."

The sound design has also been preserved using Burtt's "original master mix." The Blu-Ray collection will include surround sound capabilities and the dialogue has been improved in these versions, so at least you have the comfort of knowing that you'll be getting the best "Indiana Jones" editions available.

In addition to that, there are going to be the usual special features that come along with any complete series collection. The press release didn't announce any specific details, but did promise "a collection of documentaries, featurettes and new bonus features."

Make sure you snatch these up fast, though it likely won't be the "complete" collection for very long. After all, Shia LaBeouf promised us last year that "Indiana Jones 5" is "not so far off."

  • Watch Seth McFarlane Perform 'Ted' Scenes Using Motion Capture

    Ted

We might not see Seth McFarlane in his live-action directorial debut, "Ted," but we certainly will hear him. The "Family Guy" creator voices the titular foul-mouthed teddy bear, but we didn't realize until now just how far McFarlane went to portray the character.

Funny or Die released a new featurette that looks at the motion capture technology McFarlane used to make Ted come to life. Not only was he on set filming during every one of Ted's scenes, but he also acted out every instance of the bear's bad behavior.

"Yes, actually I did hump the cash register....That's the kind of progressive, left wing guy I am," he said with a laugh in the NSFW featurette, which you can view after the jump.

Apparently, the plan was always to have McFarlane performing as Ted while the film was shooting. He would stand off to the side in a motion capture suit, acting out his scenes and reading his lines so the other actors in the film could work off of him. That especially helped since he was doing double-duty as director, as well.

"I would be off camera performing with Mark [Wahlberg]or Mila or whoever. We were doing it all live so we could improvise or embellish in spots," McFarlane said. "Nobody's really used that technology yet for traditional character comedy."

Wahlberg added, "It was good because we were still kind of playing off each other quite a bit."

Somewhere we know Andy Serkis is very, very pleased.

    "Ted" hits theaters Friday.

Do find this movie funnier knowing that McFarlane acted out all of these scenes? Tell us in the comments section below or on Twitter!

  • Exclusive 'Wrath Of The Titans' Blu-ray Featurette Gets Dangerous

When it comes to big-budget studio films, it's easy to forget that a lot of the time there are actual actors on the screen, and that sometimes those real life actors are putting themselves in harm's way for your entertainment.

Toby Kebbell would probably like you to remember that acting isn't all fun and games and craft services. In this exclusive look at a featurette from the "Wrath of the Titans" Blu-ray, Kebbell has to run into a spiky trap set by the Cyclops.

Naturally, Kebbell gets a little shaky about standing in the middle of moving spikes, but it's all part of the job.

"Wrath of the Titans" once again tells the story of Perseus as he does battle with the gods and attempts to stop the end of the world.

"Wrath of the Titans" is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.

  • Trailer For Josh Hutcherson's Animated Movie 'Epic' Debuts

    Epic

Josh Hutcherson had gone from "The Hunger Games" to a movie of epic proportions.

Fox has debuted the trailer for Hutcherson's upcoming animated movie "Epic," and it teases a world where fairy-like creatures are forces to be reckoned with. Hutcherson's pint-sized character can be seen hurling through tree branches and avoiding his enemies' arrows in a pretty agile manner. The film actually looks a lot better than that logline makes it sound.

But Hutcherson isn't the only awesome actor to lend his voice talents to the project. Beyonce, Pitbull. Amanda Seyfried, Aziz Ansari, Jason Sudeikis, Johnny Knoxville, Steven Tyler and Judah Friedlander all came on board for this movie that looks like it's a cross between "Fern Gully" and "Avatar."

"Epic" follows Seyfried's character Mary Katherine as a teenage girl who gets magically transported to a secret universe. There she is forced to ally herself with a colorful array of characters in order to save the world. Hutcherson is voicing the warrior we see in the trailer named Nod, while Ansari is the slug Mub that we hear at the end. Beyonce is playing Queen Tara.

The animation in this trailer looks fantastic, but that's likely because it comes from Blue Sky Animation, the same group behind "Rio" and the "Ice Age" movies. "Epic" looks to be their take on the action-adventure genre, and based on this one teaser trailer, it seems like they got the basics down.

"Epic" comes out in 3D in May 2013.

  • Tyler Perry Brings Matthew Fox To Hell In 'Alex Cross' Trailer

Matthew Fox is a man of many weapons: sniper rifles, bazookas, explosive disc thingies and "your wife is so pretty" jokes. With all of these weapons at his disposal, he can feel free to ignore the memo warning him not to cross Alex Cross. We'll be standing right behind him, by the way.

Fox's descent into method-acting madness is on full display in the brand new trailer for "Alex Cross," the James Patterson adaptation hitting theaters this fall with Tyler Perry playing the titular forensic psychologist. Directed by "Fast and the Furious" helmer Rob Cohen, "Alex Cross" represents an unlikely game of cat and mouse between Perry and Fox, one that could very easily bring viewers all the way to the gates of Hell. We would not have it any other way.

Check out the trailer past the jump!

If that trailer doesn't have you extraordinarily excited for Matthew Fox and his bag of high-tech Augustus Gloop magic tricks, then we do not have the same taste in movies. (For your sake, this might be an okay thing.)

In addition to the trailer, there's a new "Alex Cross" poster online, which you can see below thanks to IMP Awards. Behold:

"Alex Cross," starring Tyler Perry and Matthew Fox, hits theaters everywhere this fall.

  • James Cameron Filming Three 'Avatar' Sequels Simultaneously?

James Cameron has never kept intentions for the "Avatar" series a secret. He wants to make a lot of them. He wants them to make a lot of money. Then he wants to use that money to keep diving to the bottom of the ocean.

But a new article from Showbiz 411 about "Avatar" actress Sigourney Weaver may have revealed just how ambitious Cameron is being with the sequels. The post reports that Cameron isn't planning on making his next "Avatar" movies back-to-back. He's making them back-to-back-to-back.

    Read more after the jump!

The Showbiz 411 article runs down what's coming next for Weaver and says that the actress offered up the tip.

"She goes right into a new Christopher Durang play for a short run at Lincoln Center," the pot reads. "Then she films 'Avatar' 2, 3, and 4 with James Cameron. That's right: they're making three sequels to the blue 3D phenom all at the same time."

This is the first time we've heard about the potential for Cameron to film all three movies at once. Up until know, "Avatar 4" had only been discussed as a remote possibility, with "Avatar 2" and "Avatar 3" likely filming at the same time.

When Cameron spoke with MTV News earlier this year, he told Josh Horowitz that he already has a vast amount of writing done for any potential sequel, but that he was unwilling to offer up any timetable for when production would begin or which dates were eyed for a release.

Should James Cameron film three "Avatar" sequels at once? Let us know what you think in the comments below and on Twitter!

  • Viggo Mortensen Joining Neil Marshall 'Last Voyage Of The Demeter'?

    Viggo

You may be more familiar with the work of the English director Neil Marshall than you think. He made a splash with the well-received "The Descent" in 2005, and he recently directed the much-talked about "Blackwater" episode of "Game of Thrones."

So you should definitely be paying attention to his next project, "The Last Voyage of the Demeter," which may or may not have found its lead.

A report from Bloody Disgusting claims that an offer went out to Viggo Mortensen to star in the film, which takes an expanded look at one portion of Bram Stoker's original "Dracula" novel.

    Learn more after the jump!

If Mortensen has actually been offered the role and he accepts, he will play Henry Clemens, a crew member of the Russian ship that transports Count Dracula from his home in Transylvania to London. It's an iconic part of Stoker's novel, and one that does not end well. None of the crew survives the trip.

Mortensen recently committed to reprise his role as Nikolai for David Cronenberg's sequel to "Eastern Promises."

  • 'A Good Day To Die Hard' Set Video Includes Bloody Bruce Willis

    Good Day To Die Hard

In "A Good Day To Die Hard," John McClane leaves the ole' U.S. of A. for the first time and heads to Mother Russia to save his son.

Bruce Willis and company have been over in Budapest, Hungary—which will double for Russia—for a few months now, filming the fifth entry in the series. Onlookers were able to capture some video (via CinemaBlend) from the on-location shoots, and the results appeared online yesterday.

Click after the jump to take a look!

This being a video filmed from outside the location shoot, we obviously don't get that close to the action, but the quick look at the set gives a glimpse at what might happen when "A Good Day to Die Hard" opens in February.

Aside from some car chase footage, the video mainly focuses on Willis as McClane with his head bleeding. He seems like he's in good spirits though, so we wouldn't assume anything too serious has happened.
