- Star Spotting: The Wanted Hang With Austin Mahone (We Hope To Collabo!)
The Wanted and Austin Mahone are in the same picture... we can't even.
We hope Austin Mahone sends one GIGANTIC "Thank You" Edible Arrangement to the peeps over at YouTube. Not only has the bro's music career BLOWN UP since becoming an internet sensation from the site, but also that exposure also allowed him to meet some of THE most successful (and hottest) guys in the music business! First, he got to chill with Justin Bieber (!!!) and now he's hanging with the bros from The Wanted! In case you're not paying attention: Austin is WINNING at life.
The "Chasing The Sun" singers shared the photo of them hanging with Austin on their Twitter, and if you can peel your eyes away from the hotness that's exudes from the pic, you'll then understand the epicness of the moment: The Wanted are just as star struck with Austin as we are! Even the lads' photo caption shows nothing but love for Austin's budding career: "We got to meet @AustinMahone last week. Congrats on everything going on ... cheers mate x."
Maybe the band chatted about a possible collabo with Austin on their next album, or maybe the boys just shared some tips they've learned from their own MASSIVE success. You know, really important things like how to not to lose your hearing when bazillions of fans are shrieking at you in high-pitched octaves (kinda like what we sound like every single time we look at this photo).

Переслать - New Song: Iggy Azalea, 'M.D.M. (Million Dollar Misfits)' Featuring T.I. & B.o.B
Iggy Azalea and her Grand Hustle homies T.I. and B.o.B. help her on "M.D.M (Million Dollar Misfits)."
It was only a matter a time after (sort of) signing with a major label, and apparently a modeling agency, that Grand Hustle's Iggy Azalea would slip more into the traditional female dance-pop-rap lane that we're all so comfortable with. And so it begins with the cover art to her upcoming Glory EP, which I literally have nothing to say about. So let's get to her new single, "Million Dollar Misfits" or "M.D.M" for short (Acronyms are hot right now. We call that 'millenial spin' in the music blog biz.) On this one, Iggy gets some assistance from pop-rap extraordinaire Bobby Ray and her CEO Cliff, probably better known as B.o.B and T.I. respectively.
Listen to Iggy Azalea "M.D.M. (Million Dollar Misfits)" Featuring T.I. and B.o.B. after the jump.
Credit goes to producer Bei Maejor (featured earlier this week for his song "Pillz") who's able to pull this one back from full on Flo Rida, Mike Posner pop ubiquity and let's these guys flex for a few bars. (Mike Posner is featured on the EP BTW, natch.) But really, Maejor has always been good at finding the right balance. The way this feels like a traditional synth-pop tune but ends up being something different reminds me of this Cataracs and Waka Flocka song from a few weeks ago I forgot to write about, which is pretty good. The rapping on "M.D.M" is better though. This Grand Hustle team is shaping up quite nicely.

Переслать - And The Winner Of Our Epic Justin Bieber Vs. Justin Timberlake Battle Of The Justins Is...
In the battle of the Justins, Justin Bieber reigns supreme!
We asked you guys to make the toughest decision of your life and vote for either Justin Bieber or Justin Timberlake in the epic battle of Justin vs. Justin. We here at MTV Buzzworthy and MTV News thought it'd be fun to reexamine the trajectory of both Justins and see how they stacked up against each other. And, despite our reminder of how stunning Timberlake's pecs looked in THIS VIDEO, Justin Bieber has emerged the victor. A verdict we're totally okay with, obviously. So, congratulations!
Maybe Justin Bieber's win had something to do with the fact that he just released his #1 album, Believe (which contains this amazing song and this amazing song and this amazing song). Whereas Justin Timberlake has merely teased us with tiny vocal snippets that are under a minute, and that's not fair. We're not saying that's why Justin Bieber won... only that that's not fair. So, the official torch has been passed, and we can now rest easy knowing that Justin Bieber is the world's (er... this blog's) favorite Justin. But don't get down on yourself, Justin Timberlake! I totally voted for you, even if it was mainly because I find it mildly creepy to crush on an 18-year-old when I'm 26. Baby steps towards maturity! (Also, who am I kidding? Both Justins could totally get it.)
Переслать - O Music Awards: 5 Winners (Primarily Tokio Hotel) We're Especially Stoked About
Tokio Hotel thanks the "Aliens" in the wee hours of the morning via their Night Vision camera.
Did you guys just wake up after watching all 24 hours of the O Music Awards? We kinda need a nap ourselves, except HOW CAN WE SLEEP when Tokio Hotel won Fan Army FTW for the THIRD TIME!?? We're proud of all of the winners -- and, hello, the biggest winner was probably The Flaming Lips because they WON A WORLD RECORD. But here are five O Music Award winners that have us particularly psyched.
1.) Tokio Hotel Win Their THIRD Fan Army FTW Award:
Man, you Aliens out there seriously DO NOT GIVE UP. And that's a good thing. For the THIRD TIME, Tokio Hotel's Aliens won the Fan Army FTW Award, and they even gave away a guitar as a thank-you. We're more than a little jealous we didn't qualify.Get More:

30 Seconds to Mars gave Echelon a treat back in December, when they broke the Guinness World Record for the most shows performed during a single album cycle during a livestreamed show courtesy of social experience company VyRT. And their O Music Award win was probably the Echelon's way of paying it forward. Which is SO Echelon.Get More:
O Music Awards4.) Sarahi Kaulitz Wins The OMA Superfan Award:
Yes, even fans can win awards at the O Music Awards. Dreams can come true. Once again, Tokio Hotel pops up on our radar as Alien Sarahi Kaulitz from Mexico City, Mexico managed to snag this award from probably zillions of fans. Something tells us it got super loud in her room yesterday. Well, more so than the usual blasting of "Automatic." Also, her last name is Kaulitz! Did she change her name to match the band members'? Cause if so, girl, you are DEFINITELY a superfan.Get More:

Переслать - JOHN MAYER'S 'QUEEN OF CALIFORNIA' VIDEO WAS MADE ENTIRELY IN 'DRAW SOMETHING'
John Mayer's "Queen Of California" video is actually a game of "Draw Something"!
We gave it some thought, and the only thing wrong with John Mayer's otherwise perfect video for his song "Queen Of California" is that we can't see his Adonis-like face. Sure, the "Shadow Days" singer truly needs a haircut, but I'd still totally tap that if it were ever an option. (Too personal?) Other than that though, John's video is letter-perfect. Literally. Because it was made entirely by using "Draw Something."
Watch John Mayer's "Queen Of California" video after the jump.
We're referring to it as John's video, but actually, he didn't commission it. The entire idea was spearheaded by the team at Brainbowinc Design, using the intensely popular and frustratingly addictive app "Draw Something" to create the clip. In case you've still got a Blackberry (seriously?), we'll remind you that "Draw Something" is a back-and-forth game of digital "Pictionary," where one player draws an image and another player guesses. Or in other words, a time waster you can feel good about because it's creative.
In the extremely cool video (We waste HOURS a week on this game! Why don't we think of stuff like this?), we see a vast variety of images that correspond with choice lyrics: a big white ghost, a drum kit, an American flag, and our personal favorite, a bomb-ass portrait of John Mayer rocking his (new) signature cowboy hat. Because John Mayer lives in Montana now and loves to wear cowboy hats. (He could still totally get it though, let's just be honest.)
Переслать - An Open Letter To Adele, Who's Gonna Be A Mom Because ADELE IS PREGNANT!!
Who me? Pregnant? Why, yes. Yes I am!
Dear newly pregnant (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Adele,
First and foremost, CONGRATS! MAZEL TOV! L'CHIAM! GREAT JOB! You and your boyfriend Simon Konecki are expecting your first child (which you know, because you broke the news on your blog), and we could not be more thrilled for you. (True, you're maybe on the youngish side to have a baby, but... oh who are we kidding? This blog is brought to you by the people who are currently bringing you Season 4 of "Teen Mom," Tuesday nights at 10pm!) You've through been through "Someone Like You"-style heartbreak, won multiple Grammys, undergone terrifying throat surgery, so yeah, I'd say you've lived. You're ready for mommyhood.
Even though we're pretty positive that having a baby may delay the release of your next album, it'll also provide tons of new inspiration! Plus, not only will you be the most talented mom on the planet (well, maybe tied with Beyonce), but any budding mama that does THIS in front of all of Britain is clearly gonna raise a baller baby who'll go on to do amazing things too. Also, if your future child looks anything like you did as a toddler, then you're gonna be staring at the CUTEST little punim. And so will we. In a totally non-stalkerish way, of course.
Anyway, we're so excited for you, Simon and Adele! We can't wait to
obsessively look at pictures ofmeet your little one! But until then, we'll just hire sketch artists to draw mock-ups of what your unborn child will look like and then tweet them to you. Wait. Nope. We will not do that. (Sorry. We're still working on what it means to be appropriate.)XOXOXOXO,
Jenna

Переслать - New Song: D-WHY, 'Kill Me Now,' Featuring Casey Veggies
In case you hadn't noticed, we're a tad bit obsessed with D-WHY around these parts. We first buzzed about him (and his on-point chunky knit sweaters) back in November. Since then, the sharply dressed spitter's been releasing banger after banger including D's T-Minus-produced "Macchiato Music." (What, can't a chill dude rhyme about some high-end lattes in Italy?)
Listen to D-WHY's "Kill Me Now," featuring Casey Veggies after the jump.
Today, we're bringing you the latest from Team D-WHY in the form of a slick collaboration with Los Angeles MC (and Roc Nation Management's latest signee) Casey Veggies. The track's called "Kill Me Now," and it's slated to appear on D-WHY's upcoming mixtape, "Don't Flatter Yourself," which, by the by, features a bunch of famous names and faces like Diggy Simmons, Hit-Boy, Boi-1da, and Dot Da Genius.
Produced by me & the homie, "Kill Me Now" is set to a minimal but haunting beat, which makes a lot of sense given the vaguely pissed-off title. In his signature sneering flow, D-WHY rhymes: "A wise man told me gotta fake it till you make it/ Imma do like Machiavelli/ Imma make it till I fake it/ Kill me now/ I'm so fresh I could die." Though we don't wanna see D-WHY kick the bucket, we're actually in total agreement: if it were possible to die from an overdose of swag, D-WHY would be six feet under. Glad you're still around though, bro!

Переслать - Olly Murs Checks In On Tour With One Direction (VIDEO)
Olly Murs checks in during week three on tour with One Direction.
Look out for Olly Murs. The dude's busting his way through America, and not even customs can stop him (ba dum, ching!) Not only has he released his infinitely hooky, Chiddy Bang-assisted banger "Heart Skips A Beat", but he's touring with a little band by the name of One Direction. Clearly, the kid's on the right track. But it's not like he's an amateur either: the Essex-born singer-songwriter has slayed the UK pop game ever since he finished as runner-up in the sixth season of the British version of "The X Factor."
Watch Olly Murs' tour diary from the One Direction tour after the jump.
While on his North American tour with One Direction, Olly took some time out to film an exclusive tour diary just for us. (Hairflip!!!) As in, PRIVATE TIME WITH OLLY MURS! Okay, no private time was involved, but it ours exclusively, so we'll take what we can get in these times of need. (OLLLLLY!! CALLLLLL MEEE!)
In the clip, Olly does what one does on tour -- flirts with reporters (jeals!!) and gives funny interviews and chills on college campuses with some stuffed animals made in his honor (?). But Olly digs a little deeper when he discusses his fears about coming to America: "People don't know who I am, so they're judging me straight away on my music." Ummm, maybe now's the right time to admit that this all-American gal has played your song "Heart Skips A Beat" an inappropriate amount of times and may or may not account for approximately one third of your total YouTube views. Or in other words, I pretty much got you covered, bro. Oh, and in an endearing moment so adorable it almost caused a hormonal meltdown for me (did I mention I was having issues surrounding my own personal thoughts of Olly and One Direction IN THE SAME ROOM TOGETHER?), Olly thanks ONE DIRECTION'S FANS. Let that sink in. I'll wait.
Olly's U.S. debut album, In Case You Didn't Know, drops Sept. 25, so don't forget to go out and cop it. (TWICE!)

Переслать - Watch SBTRKT's 'PUSH Live' 'Hold On' Performance
SBTRKT goes analog for this exclusive 'PUSH Live' performance.
We've been existing in SBTRKT's alternate, altered reality even since his self-titled debut dropped in 2011. (Basically, if there were a rainforest in a Space Station SBTRKT's Aaron Jerome would be its official DJ, and we'd all be doing the Cat Daddy in zero gravity.) For the mysterious electro artist's "PUSH Live" performance, SBTRKT is joined by soulful collaborator Sampha, whose stirring vocals take "Hold On" into "Climax" territory. (Can Usher sing with a British accent? Can everybody?) The duo's take on the song's a special one: it opens with a new intro melody before Jerome takes to a drum set for some rare live percussion. Sampha gets in on the fun, joining the snare and bass action for a rhythmic spectacle that needs no extra knob twiddling. No pressure, other DJs!
SBTRKT's hitting the road this summer with festival dates in Europe and Japan as well as a lone U.S. appearance at Chicago's Lollapalooza in August. Time to start planning that EDM road trip and making Martha Stewart-worthy papier-mâché tribute masks. (Pro tip: Google results for "Martha Stewart papier-mâché" are slightly more terrifying than I'd anticipated.)

Переслать - Star Spotting: Katy Perry Is An All-American Girl On The Cover Of PARADE
Katy Perry does the Fourth Of July a week early on the cover of PARADE Magazine.
We probably don't have to remind you that Katy Perry is a busy gal. In between literally dressing up as popcorn and a film canister for the premiere of her "Part Of Me 3D" film and wigging out before her appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," the "Wide Awake" singer worked her fiercest stars and stripes as the cover girl for this coming Sunday's issue of PARADE.
With no disrespect to any of our country's founding fathers (by the way, thanks!), we feel that Katy Perry makes for a much sexier spokesperson for our country than say, THIS GUY. Furthermore, anyone who can successfully pull off a red, white, and blue striped top-hat is clearly skilled, and should either be nominated for a high-level cabinet position and/or be gifted with the title of honorary First Lady. Actually eff all that: KATY PERRY FOR PREZ!
