Переслать - 'Artist' Star Jean Dujardin Joins Scorsese's 'Wolf Of Wall Street'
Each casting announcement for "The Wolf of Wall Street," Martin Scorsese's follow-up to last year's "Hugo," adds prestige to the film and heightens our anticipation. The latest cast member to join the film is this year's Academy Award winner for Best Actor, Jean Dujardin.
Variety is reporting that Dujardin is in talks to star opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, who plays the lead character Jordan Belfort. The film is based on Belfort's memoir, which chronicles his meteoric rise as a trader on Wall Street and his subsequent drug-addled fall. Dujardin will play "a suave Swiss banker involved in laundering illicit funds for the protag's firm."

The film will be the fifth collaboration between DiCaprio and Scorsese, who last worked together on 2010's "Shutter Island." DiCaprio and Dujardin will be joined on screen by Jonah Hill and Kyle Chandler, both of whom are experiencing a recent surge in dramatic credibility.
Hill made a massive step toward a serious crossover last year with his Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in "Moneyball." Chandler won an Emmy last year for Best Actor in a Drama for playing Coach Eric Taylor on "Friday Night Lights" and being awesome just in general.
Filming with begin this coming August in New York City. The film is expected to be released sometime next year.

Переслать - Ashton Kutcher Looks The Part On The Set Of 'jOBS'
Okay, we get it already, Ashton Kutcher is sort of the perfect casting choice for a young Steve Jobs.
After he was cast in the upcoming Jobs biopic that's been appropriately titled "jOBS," we've seen plenty of pictures pop up online comparing the "Two and a Half Men" star to a younger version of the Apple co-founder. We'll admit, it's hard to deny the striking resemblance. Now some photos from the Los Altos set of "jOBS" have hit the web, and it turns out that the crew has made great casting decisions across the board.
Chief among them are Josh Gad as Apple's other co-founder, Steve Wozniak; Ahna O'Reilly as Jobs' first serious girlfriend, Chris-Ann Brennan; Dermot Mulroney as the second Apple CEO, Mike Markkula and some unnamed actor as a very convincing Bill Gates. The shots of these stars on set show us that Kutcher isn't the only one who looks a heck of a lot like the person he is portraying. Well, maybe Gad needs to straighten his hair a little bit more.
Currently filming in Jobs' childhood Los Altos, there's no word yet on when the indie will hit theaters. "jOBS" is being directed by "Swing Vote" helmer Joshua Michael Stern. The film will follow Jobs from "his early years as an impressionable youth and wayward hippie, through his initial successes and infamous ousting, to his storybook return and ultimate triumphs as a man who set out to change the world and did just that."

Переслать - 'Resident Evil: Retribution' Trailer Aims For The Head
The first full-length trailer for the fifth—yes, the fifth—"Resident Evil" film dropped today and promises this will be the "final battle." But something gives us the feeling that as long as Paul W.S. Anderson and Milla Jovovich are married and they don't run out of post-colon nouns like retribution, extinction, and afterlife, there will be more "Resident Evil" movies to come.
"Resident Evil: Retribution" takes the zombie infestation to the globe level, as Alice (Jovovich) joins up with a band of resistance fighters to bring down the evil Umbrella Corporation and the maniacal Albert Wesker.
This fifth entry in the increasingly prolific series of video game adaptations marks the first appearance of fan favorite's Leon Kennedy and Ada Wong on the big screen.

Переслать - Bill Murray Offers Bummer 'Ghostbusters 3' Update
We hoped when Bill Murray appeared on "The Late Show with David Letterman" earlier in the week that he might have something important to say about "Ghostbusters 3," but the funnyman didn't throw us much of a bone about the possible horror-comedy. When host Dave asked about the film, which mastermind Dan Aykroyd has been trying to get off the ground for some time now, Murray had this to say:
"That's about all they want to know at Cannes, too... But, um... They just don't have a really good script. It's hard. Even the second 'Ghostbusters' wasn't as much fun for me as the first one. It's hard to make a sequel. That first one was really funny. It was just so darn funny, it's hard for me... I always drag my feet on it, but you know, we'll try again."
Please don't tell us this is stuck in development hell forever, Bill. Are you tired of the vague "Ghostbusters 3" chatter, or are you still hanging onto hope that the supernatural-fighting trio will reunite once more? Mull that question over and keep reading for more of this week's Horror Bites.
Supernatural Chiller 'Sinister' Haunts Home Movies in New Trailer
Dread Central has the trailer for the world premiere of "Sinister," starring Ethan Hawke as a thoroughly spooked dad. The film — which releases in theaters during the Halloween season — follows a family coping with the discovery of a disturbing set of home movies. Hawke plays a novelist who tries to solve the crime — and is that "Law & Order's" Vincent D'Onofrio as a bearded occult specialist helping him? The supernatural chills come from the producer of "Paranormal Activity" and the writer-director of "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" on October 5.The History of Troubled Zombie Epic 'World War Z'
In case you're wondering what happened to that adaptation of Max Brooks' zombie opus "World War Z" starring Brad Pitt, THR has a few details to help fill in the blanks. Production was rocky for the apocalyptic epic, which was set to release this December, but has since been pushed to June 2013. One inside source claims the project was a "nightmare from top to bottom" — and we don't mean the kind of undead ordeal horror fans love. Multiple sources told THR that "World War Z" became "a seemingly headless enterprise driven by conflicts." Read the full scoop on their website. Does the drama concern you where the finished product is concerned, or make you more anxious to see what the fuss was all about?Clive Barker's 'Nightbreed' Headed to Blu-ray Soon!
Fans of famed horror author Clive Barker can rejoice: his "Nightbreed" will be headed to Blu-ray soon (the right cut, even!). The 1990 movie written and directed by Barker — starring "Cosmopolis" director David Cronenberg as a creepy masked doctor — had had a long and troubled history. The studio forced various edits and re-shoots to create a more marketable effort, which resulted in a fascinating creature feature that looked great, but felt underdeveloped and out of synch. Later, the original work prints were discovered, pieced together, and dubbed The Cabal Cut. Since then, Barker has been trying to give the more cohesive version a proper release, and production company Morgan Creek has finally given him permission to move forward with his efforts. Head to Clive's Twitter page to see what the author had to say, and let us know if you'll be picking up a high-def copy of Cronenberg's best role ever.Real-Life Crime-Inspired Tale 'Devil's Knot' Adds Three to Cast
Deadline reports that Collette Wolfe ("Young Adult") and Kris Polaha ("Ringer") are joining the cast of Atom Egoyan's drama about the West Memphis Three, while "Glee's" Justin Castor is considering a role. Polaha will play public defender Val Price, Wolfe will play assistant Glori Shettles, and Castor is in talks to play Jason Baldwin, one of the West Memphis Three. Colin Firth, Mireille Enos and Reese Witherspoon all star in the movie about the young men who were wrongly accused of murder, devil worship, and ritualistic sacrifice. They were recently freed from prison, where they spent 18 years in lockdown.Art House Director Takes on Vampire Love Story with 'Fright Night' Star
"Fright Night" star Anton Yelchin will appear alongside Tilda Swinton, Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, and John Hurt in Jim Jarmusch's "Only Lovers Left Alive." It's a vamp tale about star-crossed lovers set to film this summer. We don't know much about Yelchin's role yet, but we're assuming he's one half of the lovelorn couple, possibly paired with Wasikowska. The "Dead Man" director is an unlikely choice for a vampire love story, but that's what makes it so exciting and full of potential. Do you have room in your life for an intelligent and beautiful bloodsucker story, or are you drained of all enthusiasm for vampires?Tell us what you think of this week's Horror Bites in the comments or on Twitter!
Переслать - Vanilla Ice Starts Father's Day Fire (Sale) To Celebrate 'That's My Boy'
A lot has happened since the days of Vanilla Ice and "Ice Ice Baby." Parachute pants went out of style, most people don't bleach single streaks in their hair, and Vanilla Ice doesn't get quite as many endorsement deals as he used to.
That's why Robert Van Winkle, as he's known now, is hosting a fire sale to get rid of all the extra merchandise that he's amassed over the years. Everything must go, and he stars in this brand new video commercial to tell you all about it.
The sale happens to be taking place right around the same time that Vanilla Ice is starring in the new Adam Sandler-Andy Samberg film, "That's My Boy." In the film, he plays himself and a friend of Sandler's character, Donny.

"That's My Boy" opens in theaters June 15.
Переслать - Will Smith Explains Turning Down 'Django Unchained'
Not so long ago, Quentin Tarantino was dreaming up his ideal cast for his then-upcoming Southern "Django Unchained." His tale of a freed slaved searching for his still captive wife was sure to drum up controversy, so a recognizable star was needed for the title role to ground the premise.
Tarantino's first choice was reportedly none other than mega-star Will Smith. The role would have been Smith's most controversial to date, so it didn't exactly come as a surprise when the actor passed on it.
But in a new interview with Empire (via The Playlist), Smith opened up about why he turned down the role of Django, ultimately allowing Jamie Foxx to step in.
Learn more after the jump!
For Smith, the decision came down to timing. According to the actor, "Men In Black 3" got in the way of making "Django Unchained," which Smith complimented for its script.
"I came really close, it was one of the most amazing screenplays I had ever ever seen," said Smith about Tarantino's screenplay. "I was in the middle of 'Men In Black 3' and [Tarantino] was ready to go, and I just couldn't sit with him and get through the issues, so I didn't want to hold him up. That thing's going to be ridiculous. It is a genius screenplay."
As fun as it would have been to see Smith really move outside his comfort zone, the two trailers we've seen so far seem to indicate that Foxx is really going for broke on this one.
You can check out a full report from the set of "Django Unchained" in the latest issue of Empire.

Переслать - 'Life Of Pi' First Look Introduces A Terrifying Richard Parker
The first clip from Ang Lee's upcoming feature, "Life of Pi," has made its way online. Though the snippet is only 10 seconds long, it's the first we've seen of the flick so far and leaves a great first impression.
What it seems to show is one of the first interactions the title character Pi (Suraj Sharma) has with the tiger, Richard Parker, when he realizes he is stranded on a boat with the beast. It definitely doesn't seem like that tiny boat is large enough for the two of them. Just what will Pi do when he finds out that there's also a hyena, a zebra and an orangutan on board?
This clip, as well as four marketing banners like the one above, can all be found on "Life of Pi's" official website. There's also a tease of the score used in the movie, which seems like a perfect fit for the surreal story.
This is Sharma's first film role, and it's hard to judge his performance from the one shot of his terrified face. But the effects Lee is using for this movie look fantastic. When a tiger is half of the main cast of the movie, there's some obvious concern that the flick will look corny or not work, but this first look at "Life of Pi" makes it seem like Lee has succeeded at making us a fantastic visual treat.
"Life of Pi" hits theaters on November 21.

Переслать - What's Set For 2012 Comic-Con Lineup So Far
Can you feel that anxious, caffeine-fueled, slightly sweaty energy in the air? It can only mean one thing: we're just about a month away from one of the biggest entertainment events of the year, San Diego Comic-Con.
As we inch closer and closer to the blissful July 12 start date (preview night being July 11), the official lineup of panels and guests is filling out quite nicely. According to Variety, this year's convention will be as action-packed as ever, despite the fact that several major studios will not yet confirm concrete plans.
Here's a rundown of the films that will most certainly make an appearance, as well as a few we think should.
Disney/Marvel
Films we expect to see: "Iron Man 3," "Wreck-It Ralph," "Oz: The Great and Powerful"Films that should be teased: "Thor 2" Yes, Chris Hemsworth is totally tired of doing press and promotion, but why not have an excitement-generating tease ahead of production with an appearance by new director and maybe the new villain?
Special appearance request: Joss Whedon. If only so he can do that convention hall victory lap people were twittering about recently.
Warner Bros.
Films we expect to see:"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," "Man of Steel," and Legendary Pictures' "Pacific Rim" (director Guillermo del Toro is a fanboy and Comic-Con favorite)Films that should be teased: "The Dark Knight Rises," because the Con is one week ahead of the film's release, it's likely the last one for Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale and they've never brought Batman to Comic-Con! And while we're fantasizing, I'd like to see more "Great Gatsby" footage too.
Sony
Films we expect to see:"Total Recall," "Premium Rush," "Here Comes the Boom" and "After Earth" (the Will Smith/M. Night Shyamalan special)Films that should be teased: "The Smurfs 2" We kid, we kid! Maybe if "The Amazing Spider-Man" is still enjoying box office success at that point Sony will use their platform to announce sequel details?
Lionsgate/Summit
Films we expect to see:"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2," "The Expendables 2," "Dredd"Films that should be teased:"Hunger Games: Catching Fire" What a perfect way to end all the "Who should play Finnick?" casting chatter than by announcing it in Hall H and introducing that lucky actor to 5,000+ adoring fans?
As far as we know Fox and Paramount plan to sit this year out of the presentations and such, but our fingers are still crossed for some kind of newsy something about the next "X-Men" movie and the "Star Trek" sequel.

Переслать - 'Savages' Interrogation Series Introduces Characters
Oliver Stone's "Savages" is basically guaranteed to be a messy affair. First, there's a pair of buddies, played by Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson, that grow and sell weed together. Then, we find out that they share a girlfriend (Blake Lively). When she gets kidnapped by the Mexican cartel, they have to go after her.
As you can see, things get a little complicated over the course of the film, so if you want a quick debriefing about who is who and who is sleeping with whom, there is a new series of in-character interviews with the cast.

This is just one in a series of videos, which will continue in the coming weeks. To start, here's Kitsch, who plays Chon in "Savages."
