- Star Spotting: Kanye West And Kim Kardashian Play The Blame Game In Paris
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian look like they're playing the blame game in Paris.
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are still going strong, and what better way to celebrate their blooming relationship than taking a romantic getaway together to Paris! The pair have been doing it up like cray (obvs!) -- cruising in a Lamborghini, enjoying shopping sprees, and probably eating diamond-crusted caviar or something (Can you eat diamonds? Probably not). Did you expect them to be backpacking through Europe and staying at hostels -- PAH-LEASE! The thread count at those joints is a joke!
The always-picture-perfect couple look super cute strolling on the streets of Paris, but we're not too sure what's actually going on in this photo. Are they having their first official tiff about something like who buys the next bottle of Cristal? Maybe Kanye's accusing Kim for starting the fake rumor that he tweeted a naked pic of her? But we'd really like to think that one of the most famous couples in the world are actually playing a round of "you smelt it, you dealt it." It's either that or Kanye's asking Kim to pull his finger -- we'll let you decide. (My eight-year-old-like sense of humor is free of charge, guys.)

Переслать - Austin Mahone Finally Met Justin Bieber, Worlds Collide (PHOTO)
YouTube sensation Austin Mahone got to meet THE BIEBS!!!
Some people are calling him "Baby Bieber," but if it's cool with YouTube sensation Austin Mahone, we're just gonna go ahead and call him the kid who just MET Bieber. He actually touched the king of swag himself!!
If you don't know who Austin Mahone is yet, then here's a quick 411: at just 16, singer-songwriter Austin Mahone is basically on track to be the next well, Bieber. Sorry, but it's true. Like Kidrauhl, Austin Mahone came up on YouTube. The kid's already got a preposterous number of Facebook and Twitter followers, and his forthcoming New York show sold out in minutes. He scored a major hit on iTunes with his first original single, "11:11," and his latest latest record, "Say Somethin,'" was co-written by none other than Mike Posner and Bei Maejor. Oh, and he's opened for Adam Lambert. Not even legal and he's already rolling deep with celebrities. Oh yeah, AND GIRLS PAY HIM TO SING TO HIM.
So how'd this kid get to pose in a pic with Justin Bieber? Austin stopped by Z100's Elvis Duran Show this morning in New York. While there, Austin just happened to bump into Justin Bieber who was also doing press at the radio station. Naturally, the two pop stars posed for a pic, and Austin's life was made forever. No really, he actually said it was the best day of his life. It'd totally be the best day of our life, too.
We'll now leave you to wonder if Justin Bieber is magically transferring his YouTube fame onto Austin just by virtue of making hand-to-hand contact. If anyone's got that kind of power, it's Justin. (Or Chuck Norris.)

Переслать - Lindsay Lohan, Please Get Back To Making Amazing Pop Music
Oh hey! I'm Sam Lansky, and this is "Pop Think." I've gotta be honest with you. I'm tired of rumors starting and sick of being followed. You guys feel the same way? Perfect, because my subject this week is the embattled Lindsay Lohan, she of occasional (okay,
frequent) legal troubles and consistent pop music magic.
And I'm not just talking about "Rumors" (although I'd be lying if I said I didn't channel her performance in that video every time I'm alone in an elevator). Despite becoming more known for tabloid antics than music career, Lindsay's two albums were supremely listenable, and sessions from her a-billion-times-delayed third album, Spirit In the Dark, had more potential than half the pop songs you're currently playing on repeat. So fasten your seat belt (seriously, you'd better be buckled up given Lindsay's driving record), because this week we're looking at some deep Lindsay cuts with the ultimate hope that LiLo will get back in the studio and give us the pop masterpiece we've been anticipating.
We really really miss this Lindsay Lohan.Lindsay Lohan had a rough week last week with enough drama for a three-part Lifetime Original Movie. MTV News' James Montgomery did a superb job of recapping it, so I'll spare you the details, but for a minute there, when news outlets were reporting that paramedics had been called to Lindsay's hotel room, it looked like we might really lose her. And though her last official single, 2008's dance-pop banger "Bossy," is undoubtedly a worthy entry in her catalog, it'd be a shame (though, of course, not as regrettable as losing a vibrant, talented young woman) to imagine it being her last.
Read more about Lindsay Lohan's music career after the jump.
After setting a precedent with songs like the thrillingly trashy dance-pop classic "Rumors," pop-rock confection "Over," and the likably overwrought "Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)," "Bossy" seemed to augur a new era for Lindsay. The list of her collaborators for her planned third studio album, Spirit In the Dark, was impressive: Stargate, Ne-Yo, The-Dream, Bloodshy & Avant, and Pharrell, and the leaks that have surfaced from that era show so much of that promise.
There's the warm, skittering drums of "Can't Stop, Won't Stop," with it infectious hook and Lindsay's surprisingly emotive vocals; the soaring melody and dramatic strings and smoky sound of "Stay." And best of all, the Ina Wroldsen-penned "Stuck," a dark, throbbing pop gem. My personal favorite though is "Too Young to Die," produced by J.R. Rotem and penned by pop chanteuse Lolene, with chilling love-as-death extended metaphor lyrics that serve as a fascinating counterpart to some of her real-life self-destructive behaviors. Even if it's metaphorical, there's something fascinating about hearing Lindsay call out "I'm too young to die!" on the chorus.
And while that sentiment is true, some of her more recent accidents have been a frightening reminder of how fragile life is when you're young and lost and plagued by personal demons. Even if many of us follow Lindsay for the guilty-pleasure train wreck appeal of seeing what drama will unfurl next, it's her talent that earned her her fame. We loved her in "Mean Girls," we taught ourselves the rooftop choreography from the "Rumors" video, and we belted out "Over" in the car with our friends after a bad breakup. (By "we," I mean "I," but also, probably, "you.") It's about her artistic output, not her personal life. And I want to see Lindsay back on top so she can do those things again.
Not only is she too young for the drama and the death scares, but she's too young to retire. Lindsay, wrap up these movies and make some killer pop music again. I'm not ready for you to tell me that it's over.

Переслать - New Video: Rick Ross, 'Touch 'N You' Featuring Usher
Rick Ross is a one-woman man in his Usher-assisted "Touch 'N You" video.
We've been
making outjamming to Usher and Rick Ross' sexytime-themed collaboration "Touch 'N You" ever since it first appeared in May. The record itself is a laid-back, sultry slow-jam that boasts Rick's casual flow and Usher's panty-dropping falsetto. Incidentally, it's also probably responsible for a surge in pregnancies.Watch Rick Ross "Touch 'N You" featuring Usher, after the jump.
In the Chris Robinson-directed clip, The Teflon Don is a one-woman man, and spends most of his time doting over one special chick. Clearly into each other, Rick and his woman swim (or rather, Rick watches her swim seductively), play chess, eat, and have some flirty bedtime fun. Usher pops up later, and though he's basically chick-less, he doesn't seem to mind, and still looks totally swagged out in a leather jacket and shades. Is all of this anything we haven't seen before? Absolutely not, but it is kind nice to see Rick give all his attention to one babe instead of say, 32. Baby steps!

Переслать - Artist Of The Day: Paloma Faith
Kindly add Paloma Faith to the long list of supremely talented artists who are wildly famous in England but (unfathomably) are still somewhat unknown here. (We will never understand.) Paloma, who sounds like a heady mix between Pink, Jessie J, and an old '50s-era crooner, got her start singing in local pubs. She notoriously turned down an opportunity to join Amy Winehouse's band in order to take time to hone her craft and write her own material. She landed her own record deal and has been taking the UK by storm ever since.
Her multi-platinum UK-only debut Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful? stayed in the top 40 for over 40 weeks and scored her a whopping six top 10 singles and a 2011 Brit Award nomination for Best British Female Solo Artist. To continue her unstoppable upward trajectory, her brand-new disc, Fall To Grace, just debuted at No. 2 on the UK charts.
Paloma Faith's U.S. debut album drops this fall, and she's poised for an Adele-style American takeover, so make some room and plan accordingly. -- Jenna Rubenstein

Переслать - POSTED: Usher Really Wants Justin Bieber To Stop Farting!
As you're surely aware, Usher just dropped his new album, Looking 4 Myself, which went straight to #1. And, he's also MTV's POSTED artist for June, which means we've been diligently following his every move all month (not that we don't already) at POSTED.mtv.com. So, basically it's the Summer of Ush up in here.
Last week Usher got us "Caught Up" (GET IT?) on his new movie role and new song, "Twisted." And this week, Usher dropped some Justin Bieber bro-to-bro knowledge on us. Specifically some bomb-dropping, gas-related knowledge.
Watch Usher discuss giving advice to Justin Bieber and Justin Bieber's fart problem after the jump!
In this POSTED video below, Usher discusses being Justin Bieber's mentor. (In case you just moved to this planet, Usher gave Justin his big break waaay back in the day.) It's safe to say that Justin hardly leads the most normal life, but Usher insists that Justin still has typical teen moments.
"On the topic of getting advice from me, that's when [Justin] is a teenager. No teenager likes getting advice from their... elder," Usher said. (Oh, by the way, watch Usher adorably pause to dwell on the word "elder." As if Usher isn't aging like a Bordeaux.) But mostly, Usher says that Justin doesn't really need much advice these days. "The real cool part about him as a person is he stands by what he feels." It's both stoopid adorable and a total student-becomes-the-master "Star Wars" situation (minus the creepy Vader master-of-evil vibes).
Finally, Usher reveals a rather indiscreet issue Justin's struggling with: his uncontrollable farting. Usher claims that Justin Bieber even farted in front of PRESIDENT OBAMA. I don't know, man. I wasn't there, but I'm standing by ye olde you-smelt-it-you-dealt-it maxim.

Переслать - Video Premiere: Cobra Starship, '#1Nite' Featuring My Name Is Kay
Watch Cobra Starship and My Name Is Kay have the best time ever in their '#1Nite' video.
We first told you about Cobra Starship's crazy-infectious dance track "#1Nite" back in July of last year. But, team Cobra recently gave the song a makeover by adding in power-pop songstress My Name Is Kay and (with no disrespect to the original!!) totally upped the ante.
Watch Cobra Starship's "#1Nite" video, featuring My Name Is Kay after the jump.
The Cobra crew and My Name Is Kay recently filmed the official "#1 Nite" video, and unsurprisingly it includes copious debauchery, partying, and straight-up wildin'. At the top of the clip, My Name Is Kay and Cobra frontman Gabe Saporta hop in their car for a quickie road trip to Vegas. The duo hits the casino, plays a riveting game of air hockey, and then finds their way into an abandoned parking lot (natch) for an impromptu dance party.
Next, it's time for a quick drive down the famed Vegas strip and a brief cameo at the PURE Nightclub at Caesars Palace (what up, product placement). The video comes to a close when we see Kay and Gabe ending their evening of outrageousness in the most baller way possible: by having eggs and potatoes at the local diner. Because nothing says "I'm a hardcore partier" like a three-egg scramble with ketchup.

Переслать - Star Spotting: Adam Lambert Wears All Black Everything, Manages Not To Look Like He's In Mourning
Adam Lambert wears all black, DGAF.
Unless you're Jay-Z, wearing all-black everything can be kind of a turn-off. Are you en route to a funeral? Are you trying to hide a burgeoning baby bump? Did you just tank four cheeseburgers? (RESPECT.) I'm not usually one to scoff at an all-black ensemble (it's sooo slimming, again, especially if you just housed four burgers!), but it can be a bit boring. That is of course, unless you're Adam Lambert.
Adam was snapped while arriving at The Wellington Club for the Dean Piper party in London yesterday evening. The "Never Close Our Eyes" singer was decked in head-to-toe noir, but he might as well have been wearing Joseph's Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat given that Technicolor smile. Maybe Adam was just really excited to throw down and party? Or perhaps, he was reliving the special moment when he heard that his Trespassing album debuted at #1. Whatever the case, it's totally refreshing to see a pop star that's a happy camper. Smile on, bro. Smile on.
